SCOM Error - An error occurred in one of the grooming workflows

Since we had to rebuild our Data Warehouse with Microsoft in SCSM 2012 SP1, I've been seeing errors in SCOM (also 2012 SP1) for "one of the grooming workflows."
The alert source is our primary management server.
I opened the console as an admin and went to the Administration > Workflows > Status workspace and don't see any Workflow instances that need attention.
I reset the SCOM monitor health state and the alert came back almost immediately. I'm not quite sure how to track down the source of this error. Any ideas?

All of the Data Warehouse Jobs in the DW workspace of the console appear to be Enabled and running fine from what I can tell. They all have a last run time of either yesterday or today.
There are a couple of Warnings in the SCSM management server's Operations Manager log around the time that SCOM alerted us of a workflow error (8/7/2014 @ 2:24:19AM) but nothing at that exact time.

Please check if the following suggestions help:
First, please disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:
1. Click "Start" button, type “devmgmt.msc” (without quotation marks) in the “Search” bar and press "Enter". Click “Continue”
if necessary.
2. In Device Manager, double click to expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers", right click on the Host Controller, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".
3. Repeat the step 2 to uninstall all items under "Universal Serial Bus controllers".
Then, restart your computer and Windows 7 will reinstall all USB controllers automatically.
If the issue persists, please check if it can be resolved by running
System File Checker.

Error in Server log of one of the server on the clustered environment(OBI)

We had setup Clustered Environment and when we are trying to log in on to the Primary Server which is also Primary Controller, everything is fine on front end but we had faced the following error in the server log as follows : "[46036] Internal Assertion: Condition m_hFile != hFileNull, file .\Src\mfcfile.cpp, line 447."
Please provide help by letting me know what this error mean and how can we avoid this error.

What happens if you disable your master BI server, do you get the error in the other BI Server log when you login to Presentation Services?

Labview 8.5.1's MathScript window failed running imread with an error "A problem occurred in a subVI call."

Hi,
I am trying to port a Matlab program into a MathScript script. Following is the first few lines of the script:

image1=imread('C:\LV_VertAlign\DSC_0104.jpg','jpg');
image_double1=im2double(image1);
image_gray11=rgb2gray(image_double1);
In the first line, imread is supposed to read in a photo taken from a DSLR camera, so I think it's a 32-bit image. And this is the error I got when trying to run this script in the Labview 8.5.1's Mathscript windows:
"Error in function imread at line 2. A problem occurred in a subVI call."
What is the problem here? and why does it complain about a subVI call?

Hello Anh,
As you may know, LabVIEW MathScript is implemented on top of LabVIEW. The error message you received indicates that a problem occurred in one of the LabVIEW subVIs that MathScript calls. As Jim indicated, the problem is in the file type specifier you passed to the function. MathScript requires the use of 'JPEG' and not 'jpg' or even 'jpeg.' In this case, we could return a better error message. I have filed a bug report (115804) for this issue.
You will find that once you fix this, the im2double and rgb2gray functions are not supported. In LabVIEW MathScript, you generally can execute scripts written in the MATLAB® language syntax. However, the MathScript engine executes the scripts, and the MathScript engine does not support some functions that the MATLAB software supports.
We will look into adding these functions in a future release of LabVIEW MathScript. If you need this functionality now, these functions are very simple to write yourself. If you are performing additional image analysis in your script, you may wish to purchase the IMAQ toolkit. It doesn't add any functions to MathScript at this time, but you could continue your analysis outside of MathScript with LabVIEW VIs.

ORA-12705 Error Message while trying to connect to the DB

A colleague of mine has been trying to connect to the DB through PL/SQL Developer. The error message returned is :
ORA-12705: invalid or unknown NLS parameter value specified
Checked the registry for NLS_LANG which is set to NA. I did that because the ORA message references the NLS_LANG parameter. However, I doubt that is the problem. Went about to create a new TNS Name entry through Oracle NET Manager and get the same Error Message while performing the TEST function.
Any clues ? I am clueless at this point.

This can occur with any NLS_ environment variable of registry value.
Your assertion ' the ORA message references the NLS_LANG parameter' is incorrect.
You can set NLS_TERRITORY, NLS_DATE_FORMAT etc, etc, etc.
The order of precedence is environment variable, registry, Oracle provided default.
To find out what is going on set every NLS related environment variable to the empty string.
In sqlplus
select * from v$nls_valid_values
will show you what can be set,
This error will also occur when you installed the software with English as the only language.
SQL developer doesn't use tnsnames.ora
The new tnsname entry has nothing to do with it.
You have an incorrect environment variable or registry value somewhere
(in HKLM\software\oracle)

ERM Configuration error "UNHANDLED ERROR N/A"

Hi Experts ,
We are doing ERM configuration in our ECC system .
while configuration we are receiving "UNHANDLED ERROR N/A" error.
we contacted SAP and received the reply to run SU25 first as ECC system was recently upgraded but SU25 was not executed.
As of now our ECC system is working fine without SU25 run as during and after upgrade we have resolved the errors using testing results and one of the tool.
Now we have suggestions to run SU25 w/o bringing any new objects/tcodes or any changes to any of the profiles and roles.
Please suggest if it is possible to run Su25 w/o effecting existing security and how. we are planning to test it in one of our sandbox first.

Why did you upgrade then? If you do not care about SU24 and have manual authorizations then you should not care about running SU25 either?
The main pest here is that the GRC "permissions" level data is based only on the proposals of SU24. This is actually a very stupid design as it forces you to maintain proposals with values simply so that you can report on them, but then your roles look like a dog's breakfast.
Actually, if you could maintain all transactions contexts for all their capabilities as proposals as well, then at the end you will have achieved the same as if you had re-written the whole of the system code because you will have seen it all. And all roles with standard authorizations will be equivalent to SAP_ALL as well.
If you are using menus and proposals, then perform the upgrade tasks propoerly and raise customer messages to complain about the proposals which GRC type tools have convinced SAP to maintain excessively in SU24 and those which they did not maintain at all because they are not on some SOD radar (but are still a big security problem).
That is enough rant now... --> Do you have a sandbox copy or know the exact release and SP level?
This is just a table entry from which the exception is raised, which is also transported in step 3. You should shame yourself, but you could simply transport it instead of upgrading.

Error saving multiple Sales document modified by the BAPI (with cnfg)

Dear Sir/Madam,
I have a requirement for which i am modifying a Sales Quotation and
then Sales Contract created w.r.t. Sales Quotation. I am using the
following function modules in sequence specified to modify the
documents:
1. BAPI_CUSTOMERQUOTATION_CHANGE - to change Sales Quotation
2. SD_SALESDOCUMENT_CHANGE - to change the Sales Contract with the
parameter CALL_FROM_BAPI marked as 'X' if the quotation was processed
successfully but not saved to the database
The BAPI transaction commit is called only after both the Sales
documents have been processed successfully. In case there is an error
in updation in any one of the Sales documents then the
BAPI_TRANSACTION_ROLLBACK is called.
After successful processing both the documents are getting commited
with the correct reference of the Quotation item in the contract items.
Now when i view the Sales Contract all updations have happened
successfully and i can view the data properly, also the items
configuration data.
When i go to view the Sales Quotation i can see that the new item which
needed to be added to this document has been added successfully however
when i go to view the configuration data for the newly added item i get
an error V1854 , 'Internal error in communication between configuration
and sales document in the form GET_CONFIG_MODE'.
If i do a commit individually after the each function module call then
all documents are saved properly and can be viewed without any errors.
Please advise why this error is happening.

I think I found a way to get it to do what I want,,,
1) Use the first signature collection lock to lock only the fields that that person is signing-off on.
2) The next manager then signs off and locks only his comments and text boxes, as well as the signature of the preceeding manager. This way text fields are only locked by one signature collection and thus to edit anything you have to clear that manager's signature to edit the related text boxes, then to re-sign that section you must clear the other (higher level) signatures to open up the signature field for resigning,,, I think this is providing the protection I want,,, Yea,,, let's get this form back into our stupid ISO system ;)

Aperture startup error "Registration Error"

Hello, I recently installed Aperture (because had a new hard drive installed by Apple due to failure of my existing disk), and after installing the latest updates via Software Update, I now get the following error when I open Aperture:

From the console log the following error is captured:

My Aperture library is ok, my library was archived on another disk and appears to be intact and error free.
I saw a similar thread in the forum, but the answer was never posted and the thread has been archived preventing further posts.

I solved the error. Here is how I did it.
1) Download the Aperture 1.5.3 update from Apple Downloads.
2) The update would not run from the standard installer. It gave me the error I previously posted.
3) I right clicked on the package file "Aperture1.5.3Update.mpkg" and selected "Show Package Contents".
4) I traversed the contents ./Contents/Packages/ until I found the file "Aperture1.5.3Update.pkg".
5) Right-click on this file and select "Show Package Contents"
6) Under ./Contents/ you will find a file named "Archive.pax.gz", double-click to extract the archive. It extracted to my desktop in a new folder "Applications"
7) Copy the only file in this folder "Aperture" to your applications folder. Select "Replace" when prompted.
8) The registration process runs and allows you to register (or in my case, re-register) Aperture.
Everything runs like a champ. I hope this helps someone else in my situation.

This problem is because of, the Due Date Mentioned in your payment is less than your System Date.
To cancel this payment, do the following. (Do all this in SAP Server)
1. As we need to change System Date ask all users to logg out from SAP.
2. Ensure no user is booking any documents.
3. Close SAP Appliaction and Change the system date previous or same date in the Due Date of that Document
4. Select appropriate posting period, unlock posting period
5. Open the Payment screen and select your document.
6. Cancel the Document, choose document date as the cancel date.
7. Close SAP again and change the system date to current date

How Does One Fix The Error "The iPhone cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-54).

I recently got a new computer along with a new iPhone 5S, and downloaded iTunes to the computer today. As I tried to sync my library to my iPhone to get all the music on there, I received an error message after a little bit stating "The iPhone (Name) cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-54)." After doing some research on this error, I found out that it had to do with files being locked and things of that nature, but I don't really understand that whole concept. suggests the issue is a corrupted user profile, and you should try to use a different service account.

Report printing failed with "Servlet error: An exception occurred. "

Hi,
I use Apex 3.1 in Oracle Express edition develop few applications. In one of the application, when I enable report printing in stardard reports and try to print to PDF/Excel, the servlet error occur.
I had configured FOP in my server and I can download PDF in "interative report", but for stardard report, the report printing failed.
I can successfully print the reports in my others applications. Anyone know what could be the reason which cause an application failed to print the report.

Does your application name have special characters? I heard that the app name has to be just letters and numbers for this to work...actually testing right now.

I noticed that there are two sets of devicenet VI libraries in my LabVIEW 2010 vi.lib directory that have the same name. The supposedly correct one that LabVIEW automatically places on the block diagram from the palette is from the "DeviceNet" folder. This one gives the error described earlier when I run it. There is another one in the "Nidnet" folder with the same name and this one works and does not give an error. TheNidnet one appears older since it has the older looking front panel objects.
Does not work (error hex BFF62023):
C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2010\vi.lib\DeviceNet\VIAPI\Open DeviceNet Interface.vi
Works:
C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2010\vi.lib\Nidnet\Nidnet.llb\Open DeviceNet Interface.vi
It is correct to use the nidnet folder with LabVIEW 2010 and newer or should I be using the DeviceNet folder version. If the nidnet version is the correct one, is there a way to make it so these appear on the palette when I go to add them to the block diagram?
Any thoughts?

Error RCIRAS0546, failure occured while the report was being processed

Hello all,
We use Crystal Reports 2008 V1 server on Linux. With 2 reports now we get the error when viewing the report from the Central Management Console (CMC)
"Your request could not be completed because a failure occurred while the report was being processed. Please contact your system administrator. [RCIRAS0546]"
In de /var/log/messages, I get messages like these:

I tried several parameters on the CrystalReportsProcessingServer, like increasing/decreasing the Maximum Current Jobs and Number of Prestarted Children. None of these make a difference. Als the error occurred when viewing the report as Administrator.
The reports has a dynamic parameter, wtih content coming from the database (drop-down list). When selecting one value the report is viewing fine. With a selection of more values the error occurred. In Crystal Reports 2008 there is no problem.
I restarted the CRProcessingServer with -trace. In the trace I see the following lines:
It seems that several subprocesses start for retrieving data based on the parameter values.
After the crash of the first child, the above mentioned error occurs.

We got this error message on a report that had 5 subreports, 3 of which were based on stored procedures. The report was running fine in our Dev environment and in the CR developer, but not when we published it to another environment. The problem was caused because the stored procedures had been changed in Dev (so that they ran correctly) but these changes had not been released to the other environment. Once the scripts were run to update the stored procedures the report ran successfully. So it apepars that the problem was because the stored procedure/s the subreports were using were failing, but we only got the RCIRAS0546 error message.
