Scopes not displaying in color

Neither the Parade/Overlay nor 3d scope are displaying in red, green and blue - instead, the scopes display monotone readings (sort of a golden/brownish hue) for RGB channels.
I can't seem to find any kind of preferences for the scopes - could this problem be due to the fact that I'm using just using the MacBook Pro monitor and not a proper graphics card? Or is there a way to adjust how the scopes display?
Running version 1.5.3. Thanks.

The option to switch from monochrome to color scopes is located in the Setup room in the User Prefs tab.

  • Scopes Not Displaying

My scopes are not displaying in the viewer window, only the video. I used Color with the scopes about a week ago, but maybe someone else changed something on the same computer. How can I get my scopes back?

Right click in the preview area and you should get the option dialogue to get the scopes back.

  • HDMI output to monitor not displaying all colors

I am trying to use a second monitor on my Satellite S55t-b5152 and am able to get 1920x1080 output from the HDMI port through an adapter to either VGA or DVI into my external monitor, but with either adapter the colors look washed-out and not all the colors that are displayed on the internal monitor show up on the external monitor.  For example the position indicator in scroll bar on some apps shows up on the internal monitor, but disappears when I drag that window onto the external monitor.  I've tried multiple monitors and they all have the same symptom. I've investigated this some on external forums and it seems to be that the HDMI output under some conditions assumes that it is connected to a TV instead of a monitor and it limits the output color range.  On some graphics drivers it is possible to override that assumption and get the full range output from the HDMI port.  I haven't found a way to do that for the graphics driver on the S55t-b5152. Has anyone figured this out?

Just want to comment that I'm not at all surprised that an adapter does not produce true colors. I'm sometimes amazed they work at all.
Yours is HDMI 2.0 which complicates things still further.

  • CFGrid tag not displaying background color

Hi, My application runs on CF v 4.5 and uses CFGrid tag to
display grids. When I run the same code on MX 7, the grid does not
display the pale yellow background for the grid as it does on 4.5.
Does anyone know how to fix this ?
    Thanks, Jay M.

    Hi CatJay
I looked at the code you sent and it has no attribute in
place to display any color in the background, so I am guessing that
maybe back in 4.5 there was only 1 colour by default?
Try adding bgcolor="#ffff00" to the cfgrid tag and see if
that changes the colour to yellow. (it should)
Once you get that to work, you can implement any colour you
    want.

    As for the specifics:
The image size is 4.31M. If I go to double the size and change nothing else, the image size jumps up to a whopping 17.2M.
If you double the dimensions of an image the area is increased fourfold – so what is the problem there?
The image dimensions are 500px x 135px, 300DPI, 8bit, RGB color. This is at 100% zoom. Those are the settings I normally use, but for some reason it’s showing the file as about half of the size it should be. (Tumblr post for comparison—they are 500px wide.)
The introduction or Retina (and other high resolution) displays and browsers actually up-scaling images to accommodate those screen resolutions seems to have confused some users about the concept of pixels.
Could you please post a full size screenshot on this Forum of the image at View > 100% in Photoshop and on tumblr?

  • 4 random Rows of pixels not displaying correct colors RetinaMBP mid 2012

Dear community, I noticed that my 15' Retina MacBook Pro, mid 2012 has some retina screen issues. As mentioned, 4 randomly possitioned rows (from side to side) of pixels have difficulty displaying the correct colors. It is unnoticable on light and dark backgrounds/images. However when you have color, they show clearly. Two of the rows appear lighter than the image color, the other 2 darker. Sometimes the color is completely different. It also happens under Windows7 Bootcamp and does not display on external monitors = Hardware failure. I have never ever droped, pressed, hit or abused my RMBP, expecially the screen.
Has anyone heard or experienced similar issues?
What could be the problem? Would be okay for a few dead pixels but those are 4 whole rows of pixels. Also they all seemed to fail at ones, not 1 row at a time.
    Thanks.

  • Display does not display any color

I have just installed the latest Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 4 and all the color has disappeared from my display, hence everything is in black and white. I am not absolutely certain but I think that is the last thing I did before the color disappeared. I have run ColorSync Utility and the first aid profile log has found an item to be incorrect but is incapable of crrecting it, claiming that it is locked when it is not. It says
    "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Color/Profiles/Recommended/CoatedFOGRA27.icc
Tag 'desc': Tag size is not correct.
The file is locked. Could not be fixed."
I have also run repair permissions in Disk Utility a number of times. Each time it claims to have repaired a long list of permissions but when I rerun it, it still has to repair the same long list of permissions.
When i log in or restart I have full color so it is only a software problem. I have checked settings in System preferences and they haven't been changed and are set for millions of colors.
Any ideas on what's wrong and how it can be fixed.

It is not clear at exactly what point you have no colour. You say you have no colour
then you say you have colour after you login or restart.

  • Rich text not displaying in color

I have a text object that has the Paragraph Text Interpretation set to RTF Text.  However, when I run the report, all of the text displays as black instead of the colors the user defined.  It is supposed to display in red and yellow.  All other richtext formats such as bold, italics, etc. display properly.  I know the value of the richtext property is set properly because it displays inside a Visual Studio richtextbox properly.  I am only having issues with Crystal Reports.  Can someone explain how to get the colors to display for a richtext object?  I am using Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010.   Thanks.

i only mentioned a Text Object as that's where a report developer can quickly test what formatting is available in crystal reports.
if you create a new Text Object then you can look at what formatting options are available and you will then know what options are available in RTF. it's pretty limited. in a text object you can change fonts, colours, add tabs, etc. but not really that much more.
since there are lots of tags that won't work try to find an SAP Note that goes over what works and what doesn't. for example, i don't think that the stylesheet tag is support and this could be what's causing the issue. there may be more unsupported tags etc.
for testing create a new test formula to put on your report and then format as RTF. try this syntax first...this does work in cr.
    "{\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\deff0\deflang1033{\fonttbl{\f0\fnil\fcharset0 Calibri;}}"+
    "{\colortbl ;\red255\green0\blue0;}"+
    "\viewkind4\uc1\pard\sa200\sl276\slmult1\cf1\lang9\f0\fs22 This is red.\cf0\par"+

  • Outlook 2013 does not display category colors in list view

I use Outlook 2013 with a Microsoft Exchange email account.  In my Tasks folder, I use the Categories field to color-code my tasks.  In Outlook 2010 the color and category name showed up in list view, but in Outlook 2013 only the category name
is shown.  Is it possible to show the color too?

    hi Diane
I tried to reset the view and categories is still not showing. I use it so much in 2010 version on another computer and now I can't seem to live without it. I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to manage categories in 2013 but it seems much
harder to use for some strange reason.
I would imagine that something like categories is much loved and much used and thus should work as before.
    Please help :)
    thanks

  • External LCD will not display red

I have an external LCD monitor that has worked fine in the past, but today will not display the color red. Red is displayed as a grey. The monitor is functioning properly, as proved by connecting to another computer using the same SVGA cord. The mini-VGA to VGA adapter was not used when the second computer was used to test the display. Adjusting the calibration seetings on my iBook do not help. There do not appear to be any missing or bent or dirty pins.
Could this be a problem with the mini-VGA to VGA adapter supplied with the ibook or the mini-VGA jack itself?
If so is there a not so expensive solution?
    Thanks

  • Color gradients not displaying correctly

I'm having an issue with my color gradients in type and objects not displaying correctly in the content viewer. For the last app I created, I made sure the colors were RGB and that seemed to fix it. With the current app I'm working on, that dosen't seem to fix the issue. Actually, when I test in the viewer on my iPad, it shows the correct gradient in the split second that it's loading the update but then once it's loaded, it goes to a gray white gradient (the correct gradient is from a yellow to a gray; attached a pict for referrence).
Anyone know why this is happening? Thanks in advance!
UPDATE: It seems to view fine if I preview the page via the foilo overlay but when I preview the folio, that's when it's no viewing correctly.

The Color Picker is unreliable for choosing colors based on what you see because it is not color managed while Color panel and Swatches are.
In your image, the color that you see in the Color Picker is how your monitor displays R=0 G=255 B=0. The color that you see in the Color Panel represents the same values in the file but the color management sends different values to the video card and thus to the monitor to display a color with appearance in the color space selected for the document. In your image this is a CMYK color space which you can check from the Show popup menu at the bottom left of the document window. To check the different values the video card is using, make a screen capture, save the image, open it in Illustrator and measure the color with the eyedropper. The color translation from the values in the file to the video card allows simulation of color spaces other than your monitor's. This simulation is accurate if you have a monitor profile installed in your system that correctly describes how your monitor displays colors. Such profile is created by using a color measuring device and profiling software. If your monitor profile (color space) installed in the system is the same as the color space of the document then there will be no translation (simulation) which in effects shuts down the color management - then the colors in the Color Picker will be the same as in the document. Many people do not bother to get an accurate profile of their monitor and use a generic sRGB profile for that. In such case working in RGB color mode using the sRGB color space (default in the Color Settings) will give the same colors in the Color Picker and the document. This usually is a sign of using a monitor that incorrectly displays colors.

  • Colors in pdf files not displayed correctly on linux acroread

I have recently observed that the colors in certain pdf files are not displayed correctly in acroread on Linux. Other readers such as evince get it right. Examples are a presentation with white arrows on  a black background which come out as black on black. I suspect, but have not proved, that the files were produced on Mac OS. I see this in acroread version 9.5.1 on a couple of versions of Linux. I googled this but could find no-one else mentioning it. Has anyone else seen it. Looks like a serious bug to me.

Does this happen with other PDFs on the server? You might check out the Adobe forums.

  • Certain special characters do not display correctly in Firefox ( font COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Symbol" SIZE="3" ¬ /font ). Is there a fix?

Certain special characters which display correctly in Explorer do not display correctly in Firefox. Example: <font COLOR="#1f1a17" FACE="Symbol" SIZE="3">¬</font>
    Is there a fix?

The symbol font usually doesn't work in Firefox, a website needs to use an Unicode replacement or an HTML entity to specify such a character.

  • Firefox is not displaying the correct font color on my blog, but other browsers are.

I have a web designer issue. Firefox is not displaying the correct font color on the header in my blog. Explorer, Chrome, and Safari have no problems. The page is in css but this particular section has html code o designate color. The code is as follows:
    <font face="helvetica" color="FF9966" size="1">blog</font>
Though all other browsers display the light orange color designated, Firefox displays white. Strangely, if if retype the code by spelling out a color, Firefox displays it correctly. i.e.
    <font face="helvetica" color="black" size="1">blog</font>
... will give me black. You can see the effect by viewing the link below and looking at the word "blog" in the header, which should be light orange but is not in Firefox.

Actually it also seems to work in the current Firefox 4 beta as it is.
The code is not right though - the correct syntax for the color attribute with hex values is with a # at the start, so:
    color="#FF9966"
It might work in Firefox 3.x if you change that.
