Score: Key Signature problem

I am working on an orchestral score that is in Concert-B (5 Sharps). I have created a staff style for my Bb Clarinets (can't use A Clarinets) which has a +2 transposition. Logic automatically transposes the written part up two half steps, showing the key signature of C# major. All that is fine and working well.
My problem is this: I'd like the Bb Clarinets' staff to display in Db instead of C#. Does anyone know of a way to have most staves in B but the Bb Clarinets staff in Db?

Key signatures in scores - unwanted automatic duplication

I have two tracks, each with piano style score. If I change the key signature of one track, the key signature of the other is automatically changed to match the first. Is there some way I can have two different key signatures on the two tracks?

The reason you cannot do what you want to do is because you are probably doing different exercises in the same document on tracks which are at the same time.
Logic being a linear sequence assumes that if you are in C at minute 1 in a particular document, then all the other tracks below will be in the same key - unless you are using transposing instruments.
You have two solutions:
1) Either create a differennt document for each exercise per key
2) Or put all the exercises on 1 track in a linear way and change key as many times as you like
(FWIW this is exactly what I do as I often use Logic to make up exercises in all keys)

First thing to try is the latest version of Lightroom (currently 5.6). If it don't crash, then problem solved - upgrade.
If Lr5 won't run on your machine, then Lr4 instead.
If both Lr5 and Lr4 crash on your machine, then at least you know it's a not a Lightroom version problem but something wonked in your system.
If you can't figure out how to resolve the crash on the system you have, then it's time for a new system (or try another converter/editor app).
PS - A few things to try:
* After re-installing new version, if that doesn't fix it, then get rid of all Lightroom-related data files (rename them so they can be restored), in case problem is in Lr data file.
* Remove all non-essential hardware in case problem is hardware/driver.
* Startup up machine with minimal software services.
* If still no go, consider updating driver software, including mainboard drivers and/or bios firmware if need be.
* Of course run all the system hardware and software diagnostics you can - problem could be failing disk or ram..
* Check system event logs for any clues.
If you don't know how to do some of these things - ask.
Do not say "you've tried everything" unless you want a lecture - there is most definitely something you haven't tried. It's like when you can't find your car keys - you haven't looked everywhere - there is somewhere you haven't looked!
PS - Has Lightroom EVER worked on your machine? what's changed since then..

Applying different key signatures

I'm a "switcher" from Cubase to Logic Pro 7 and after a long way trying to apply a different key signature to a midi region or even only a few notes, i didn't find a (comfortable) solution. I already tried the Transposition Track, where you could do this, but it didn't affect the desired midi track or region. Then I looked at the Time and Key Signature Editor and changed the Key Signature several times. I watched simultaneously the Notes in the Notation Editor, and actually there could be seen the transposed notes. But no changes are to hear (in a looped region played by EVP 88). What's wrong? Thanks a lot in advance!

BTW .. another way to transpose is to use Functions/Transform/Transpose in the Matrix Editor.
I think I understand better what you mean.
In the arrange window double click any region. As you know this opens the matrix editor for the track (provided you didn't change that in your preferences ... if you did .. use the pull down or command key). Double click again and this shows the matrix editor for all MIDI.
Enter Cmnd A for all notes and drag up or down to re pitch everything. All MIDI notes will move up or down.
IF there are MIDI tracks you don't want to repitch (ie drums etc) make sure the no transpose box is checked for those tracks before doing this so that only harmonic and melodic content is re pitched.
RE changing modes from major to minor. I don't know if this can be done. I know you can select a key (and many are on offer) and limit MIDI input to diatonic in the score window ... but I don't know about changing modes after input. Good question. You may have to manually go in to change the 3rds, 6ths and 7ths etc depending on what kind of minor key you are looking for. Even if there is an automatic way to change you would likely have to fine tune many of the automatic note changes anyway.
I will search this because I am curious and will get back if I find anything. I am sure someone on here knows about this though and will get back sooner if it's possible.

Tracks with Different Key Signatures

I posted a slightly re-worded version of this question earlier, but realized that I didn't ask the question correctly. So here's a second try. :-)
My 14-yr old son is writing an arrangement of Rebecca Black's "Friday" for his middle school marching band. :-) When the score is printed for each instrument, he wants the proper key signatures to be used for each respective instrument. For example, some instruments might have their score in C, and another (trumpet) might be in B-flat.
Is this possible in Logic Express? I mistakenly thought that simply transposing the track would do the trick, but my son just explained to me how simply transposing wouldn't work. :-)

It is possible to do this in the score window. All the instruments should start in concert key, but then in the score window the correct clef for each instrument can be selected. This has to be done for each region on a track. The notes will shift automatically to match the chosen clef.

Problems with ViaVoice under Leopard, especially key mapping problems

ViaVoice's behavior has changed considerably under Leopard. First I will discuss the key mapping problem, since I'm eagerly looking for an answer to this problem. At the end of this post, I will voice some of the other problems I've experienced for those who may be interested. The key mapping problem may be specific to the fact that I use a foreign keyboard with a US version of ViaVoice.
INTRO:
I have used ViaVoice on my Mac for years, more or less without problems (ViaVoice's bugginess is notorious).
Those who know ViaVoice will know that one has two general options for dictation. One can dictate into ViaVoice's so-called SpeakPad, which allows special formatting, editing and dictation error correction within the dictated text, or one can dictate into "external" software such as Microsoft Word, in which case ViaVoice just sends a string of characters to that software. SpeakPad appears to make strong use of the operating system's built-in functionality for character formatting, document formatting, etc.
*MY PROBLEM*
I have a German keyboard on my PowerBook, yet dictate in US English. When I dictated into SpeakPad under Tiger, all characters appeared correctly. However, when I dictated into Microsoft Word using Tiger, I had to switch the keyboard mapping from German to US to get all characters (that means including the characters that are located at different positions on a German keyboard than they are on a US keyboard such as y, z, apostrophes and parentheses) to appear correctly.
Under Leopard, things have changed. Now it doesn't matter whether I dictate into SpeakPad or Word; the results are the same and many characters do not appear correctly.
If set to a German keyboard, y and z appear as expected. To name a few irregularities:
"(" appears as ")"
")" appears as "="
apostrophes appear as "#" and
";" appears as ","
If set to a US keyboard, y and z are interchanged. "(" and ")" appear as expected. Apostrophes appear as "\" and ";" appears as ","
By comparison, if typed (as opposed to dictated, as in the examples above) "correctly" (i.e. based on the letters printed on the keyboard) on a German keyboard set to imitate a US keyboard:
y and z are interchanged
apostrophes appear as "|"
"(" appears as "*"
")" appears as "(" and
";" appears as the symbol for "less than"
Since I don't have a US keyboard, I can't say how it would behave if set to imitate a German keyboard, i.e. if there's a correlation to the results I get when I dictate.
Since I was previously able to dictate correctly into SpeakPad by setting the keyboard to "German" and into Word by setting the keyboard to "US," I presume that this is a problem in Leopard, not ViaVoice.
*OTHER PROBLEMS WITH VIAVOICE UNDER LEOPARD*
In addition to the aforementioned key mapping problems (that may be specific to those of us with foreign keyboards), ViaVoice appears to have lost considerable functionality in Leopard. I cannot access SpeakPad's Preferences and the correction window. Moreover, the traffic-light like window buttons have disappeared from the VoiceCenter (although they work if you click where they should be). SetupAssistent appears to function.
I've written to Nuance about these problems, but have little hope that they will invest the time in producing a patch since they haven't released any updates since 2003.

I've never had to "register" ViaVoice after updating the system. I thus suspect you haven't fully followed my above, three-step advice (particularly step 3).
1) Reinstall ViaVoice from CD.
2) Update to the latest version (using the patch downloadable from Nuance's website).
3) Replace the “temp” and “users” folders (in the "ViaVoice" folder at the upper level of your home directory) by a previous copy thereof. When I say previous copy, I mean a copy from when ViaVoice was still working properly, e.g. a copy from when it was running under Tiger.
As I said, I've gotten ViaVoice to survive several system updates by following the above steps. To my knowledge, the last step is critical since it saves you from having to reconfigure ViaVoice under the new operating system (in this case Leopard). I suspect that ViaVoice is crashing on your system because it's trying to start some module of the SetUpAssistant that is incompatible with Leopard (as many are). If you instead use old copies of the "temp" and "users" folders (from the previous system), then ViaVoice doesn't have to go through the initial "registration" process; ViaVoice doesn't need the SetUpAssistant; and all is (more or less) fine.

BTW, to my knowledge, Dictate only runs on Intel Macs. It thus won't run on a G4 iBook, just as it won't run on my PowerBook G4.

But I am assuming that when I make the installer, the 32-bit Run Time Engine is appened with the installer, as show below
Since from the picture you can see its including the support installers from '\Program Files (x86)\'
The application runs queries to fetch data from database in SQL server 2008, and for that I am using a Microsoft SQL Native Client 2008 R2 64 bit ( this is the only version that installs on either PC, even the one on which I developed my LV Application).
I am not using any driver, only toolkits for reports - and for that I un-checked the "Remove unused polymorphic VI instances" when making the executable, otherwise LV throws up an exception that share variable are not being included.
Yes I did reboot every time after I ran the installation.
Still getting the same error.
