Score Question

How do I select Polyphonic Score Styles? Logic pro needs this selected before I can use the separation tool in a piano part.

Click and hold your current score style, choose a piano score style with multiple midi channels. Change midi channels on notes as needed. In manual.

Pretest score normally is not sent to the LMS. However it is stored in a system variable, you could use JS to send it.

  • Yet another Score Question

At the risk of overloading the usual kindly suspects with score questions, is there a simple method to easily convert an entire arrangement already done in 4/4 time (with 16ths feel) .. to 8ths over a cut time feel with double the number of bars?
Musicians in rehearsal yesterday said they would find it easier to be reading 8th notes over twice as many bars.

    Hallo spirit,
First: merge the regions per track (and count the number of bars of that merged region)
Second: Drag the end of the region until the region has the double lentgh while pressing the option key, confirm the dialog: stretch(shorten/lengthen)
Third: you may change the time signature in the time sig editor.
You're lucky that your track is in straight 4/4, otherwise you would loose your mind with logics handling of tim sig changes (sorry about that comment - please Apple, improve the time sig editor and global track!!)

  • Score Question: how do you  shift a beat post mapping?

Suppose you have already beat mapped a piece of audio (playing in midi track and 'analysing' as per the Beat Map feature) and logic's metronome now corresponds to your map ( with all the little funny weird tempo changes and fractions in the tempo window)..
Problem: there is a subtle ralentando you missed when playing in the tempo map - this now makes a phrase late .. ie a few notes play later in the score than where your ear tells you they are relative to the audio. But the rest of the score is fine.
Question: is it possible to correct the tempo map by shifting a few beats forward or back in the Tempo List without ruining all the other bars? Or is there some other way of making the correction? ( I will try this and report back ... but in the mean time I wondered if any of the Discussion Forum experts had other suggestions).
    Adam

Experimenting so far.. you can shift the beats around within a bar by fiddling with the minutest fractions of the SMPTE values in the Tempo Editor but this gobbles parts of the territory of the other beats within the bar eg
The bar looks like this to begin:
    !! 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + !! [ where !! represents a bar line]
Shifting the SMPTE you can do this:
    !! 1+ 23 4+ !!
But what is needed is this:
    !! 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + !!
ie how can you expand one bar GLOBALLY pushing all the bars that follow it along without messing up all the relative values?
Although by now I could have re-mapped the whole song, I just wonder if there is in the interest of human scientific progress a solution for future quick adjustment.
... actually just thought of something on the hoof: if I had not deleted the original midi template ( which I have), I could have gone back, expanded the ralentando bar as above, and shifted all the beats that followed in the Moatrix (.. err' I mean Matrix iS' book is getting to me

  • GT60 2OC - Windows Experience Index scores - Question!

I had a MSI GT70 0NC before this one and now I'm a bit confused with the Windows Experience Index on the graphics and HDD scores, on the GT70 the graphics score was 7.3 and 7.3 (Nvidia GT 670m) and on the MSI GT60 2OC I get 7.2 and 7.2 (Nvidia GT 770m), is this score good? I mean that I get lower score on a new/better graphics board?
The other question is about the 2 Msata drives in raid 0, the score on the old one was 7.9 (with a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD) and now with the 2 Msata in raid 0 I get 7.8, is this score good? What is better: the 2 Msata or the single Samsung SSD? ...

I've contacted MSI UK sales department and was advised to try with customer support ( [email protected] ) and now I'm waiting for an answer... meanwhile I had some time to test and install the Samsung 840 PRO (removed the 750GB HDD) and made some tests on all drives, this is what I got using CrystalDisk Mark and Samsung Magician:
The 2nd picture is made with RAPID mode activated (it was looking a but too boosted on CrystalDisk Mark)
Now the laptop feels again fast and "furious"  the bad part is that I don't have any other space to keep my files at the moment, just the 120GB from the 2 mSata and what is left from the SSD... I hope I can get an SATA board so I can use the SSD as Primary and the HDD as secondary/data drive.

  • Citi FICO Equifax Score question

Hi, probably answered before... but couldn't find it. My Citi Prestige card provides me with a FICO score from Equifax. It is 771. What score is that ? Is it a real FICO score ? They don't state the range like 300-850 or so. Who has more information or a link ? Thanks.

Hi Beck.  I believe that most or all Citi cards get it now.  My Citi Double Cash gets the free score.  But since that is a pure Citibank question, you probably should just call them and they'll tell you. Ammer... As far as how to interpret the BankCard Enhanced version of FICO 8, that's an interesting question.  Because that score can in theory get as high as 900, the closer your BCE score is to 851, the higher the probability is that your standard FICO 8 (300-850) will be lower.  (If you have a BankCard Enhanced score of 851 it is 100% certain that your standard FICO 8 is lower.) Since your BCE score is 771 a fair guess is that your standard score is not much higher (though it could be).  If you sign up for the myFICO monitoring package, you'll get almost every score under the sun, including the BCE and standard score using the EQ data.  Even if you don't want to pay for the monitoring service indefinitely, it might be helpful to compare the two scores.  Suppose one is 771 and the other is 768.  You can't conclude with certainty that your standard score will always be 3 points lower than the BCE score, but that would give you some grounds for believing that the two scores are (in your case) pretty comparable.

  • Fico score question and mortgage lenders

Sorry so long...I've been slowly but surely building my credit up.  I subscribe to USAA's credit monitoring service which goes thru Experian and allows all 3 credit scores every 30 days.  Last month, my scores were 680+ on 2 (Equifax and Transunion) and 620 on Experian because of a recent collection.  My loan officer pulled my credit and agreed.  He said I was good as long as 2 of the bureaus were 680 or above.  I disputed the recent collection and it was removed.  I pulled my credit score for Experian again and it went to 680.  Last night my loan officier sent me the inital loan documents and I saw that my interest rate had increased by .25% and only my Equifax was over 680.  My Transunion had dropped to 673 and my Experian still showed 620.  I asked him about it today and he said that he pulled my scores 2 days ago and these were the new scores.  Neither I nor him could find a reason why my scores went down.  I get alerts whenever anything hits my credit and I haven't had any inquires or new lines of credit since I started the loan process. My questions are: 1. Does the mortage company use a different algorithm then credit monitoring services, ie, Experian2.  Why would my score change but neither one of us see a difference in my credit report explaining why.

Others have more expertise but here's what I've learned as we are going through the mortgage process. Your LO should give you a copy of the credit report he pulled. They pull mortgage scores. On the credit report it will show you what they pulled. Most LO use a credit pulling firm to pull. It will say like FICO-II TU CLASSIC 04 BEACON 5 etc. A) Be careful with your LO doing too many hard pulls. This alone can hurt your credit. When he pulled the credit report and the numbers/your score was good -- why wouldn't he just use that? I don't understand that. A credit pull by a lender is good for 90 days. To pull again 2 days later doesn't make sense. Even if it was just a "soft pull" on there part or an "update" pull to your score. Others can comment on this but to me it seems strange to pull 2 days later. Unless it was a "rapid rescore," maybe? Which is hit and miss from what I've read. Not sure why they did a double-tap, but doesn't matter: grace period of 30 days if the mortgage inquiries are properly coded (all mine were from 3 different lenders) and there's a 14-45 day rollup period where it will only count as a single scorable inquiry.   B) If your score changes and you don't know why -- it could be the inquiry it could be a mystery! This is what is so hard, I'm finding, in doing the mortgage process. They use different scores and it's very hard to get an accurate picture of what's going on. I've had no luck with MyFico alerts. It will claim more score jumps 7 points because of an address change. Really? (It was a typo that somehow got on there, I have no idea, I never changed my address). You would have to pull your reports (which is a soft pull and doesn't impact you) and analyze it and compare it to the previous one to figure it out and you still might not know.  You're right on both counts that take the alerts with a grain of salt, the scores are different; however, FICO isn't capricious, if you have access to the base data it can be figured out virtually every time.  Something changed to account for a 7 point difference, might be small and hard to spot (age of tradelines or what not) or something obvious like a balance change. That said, to me, 673 vs 680 doesn't seem like that much. I don't know if that should equal a .25% rate change. Maybe, I don't know enough about that. Maybe you're in a different tier then. Not sure. That said, if you look at your UTI and stuff hopefully you could get it back up there.  680 is a Tier for virtually every mortgage lender on the planet.  Certainly is for conventional and I think FHA loans too though I don't know those as well.  To us as consumers, a 7 point swing is whatever, except when we're in the mortgage process and playing on a tier boundary without a gold-plated score to begin with... then it matters a great deal.  Big enough that if it were me I'd be scrutenizing my reports, and if it were fixable I'd do so and have them pull again.

  • Transunion score question

Hey I have a quick question. I have nothing on my trans report except a few inquiries and a medical collection for 1697.. I was approved for a cap one secured and I have been using it and plan to keep it under 30 percent utilization I was also approved for a secured discover both limits are 200. Neither has reported yet and won't until next month I believe. My question is can anyone give me a rough estimate on how long it will take if I keep my util low and make my payments on time for my trans score to get to atleast 680 it's at 524 now?

Can any of you Logic Score gurus recommend any third party fonts? I have been recommended a font called SwingText Extended and SwingCord which apparently look great for jazz, but I have no clue as to where to get hold of them. They are not Mac fonts as I far as I can tell.

  • Urgent Score Question: Logic not displaying note values accurately

Logic is not displaying note values correctly in the score editor based on what is inputted in the piano roll. So for example this...
    ...is being displayed as this...
... which is not correct. As you can see Logic is translating one and a half crotchets as a minim. For reference the notes do not extend over the line so it appears to be a Logic resolution problem or something.
Does anyone know how to solve this? I've had it happen on numerous occasions but now it's a real problem. Any help greatly appreciated and rewarded.

    Hi
Try turning OFF 'Interpretation' in the Staff Style Inspector.  You may also need to adjust the Score quantisation value to get the look you are after.

  • One more score question

Ok this makes absolutely no sense...
In a 6/8 measure, with the score's quantize to 16.. If I draw a note with the length of two sixteenths, it shows up as ONE sixteenth............ Then if I change the score's quantize to 32, then suddenly it shows up as a DOTTED sixteenth.. ?!?!?!?!! What the he11!?
Ultimately all I want to do have two sixteenth's tied together and two 32nd notes, but.. It is not happening.
As you can see here-- there's a dotted 16th note, and one of the 32nd notes isn't even showing up.
I just ask this: WHY IS THIS SO DUMB and SO DIFFICULT?

arrg. You are right. I totally wasnt paying attention to the matrix grid.
Ok--- So explain this to me:
I have a 6/8 measure, and I put my grid to 24 for triplets. I obviously want a triplet made up of sixteenth, rest, sixteenth.
In the score, this doesn't even show up as a triplet, so I have to add an n-tuplet.. Then it shows up as 16th 16th rest... !?!?!?

  • Carmax Score Question and Interest Rate Question...

So I have decided that I think I want to purchase my car at carmax and I wanted to see if someone with a similar credit profile had purchased from them and what was your interest rate I would like to try and get 3.49 or less on a 72 month loan My credit is as follows: 99k total credit92k available18k autol oan on time500 POLbk discharged May 2009 ...all on time since then29 inq My scores are around 685-710  income 195k (if they ask for stubs I will have a little problem because a chunk of my income comes from farmland and I have not received a K1 for 2015 yet, however I could show them a copy of a check over 100k if you think that would work)  I want to get a 70k car with tax, title, license and I want to put down 25k So I will finance 45k.... do you think I can get a lower interest rate with my bk on my file ? BTW Penfed gave me 1.99 on 60 months on my 18 autoloan Not sure if carmax lenders, since they are not a CU, will give me the best interest rate What do you think ?  Do you think they can give me a low rate (3.49 or lower)   Thank you!!

Our car was included in our payment plan and the trustee got our interest rate down. That wasn't anything we had any input on. The trustee got the interest rate on his own with no input or request from us. Makes sense... creditors have little choice in the matter when it comes to decisions made by the trustee and/or the judge. I was mainly talking about if you went to the lender and asked them to lower your interest rate because you were filing... as said I doubt they'd agree on a secured debt.

I would shop around and try to find one the uses EX Auto 2 score....Thanks Norman, but I would I know if it is the Auto 2 Score,, what would it be equivalent to?Its not "equivalent" to anything - it is what it is.Front line CSR's may not even know what scoring model is used, you may have to call and ask for a credit analyst.Oh okay,  I know that some call the FICO 5 score the BEACON 5Ok, I see what you were getting at there - AFAIK, only the Equifax scores are referred to as "Beacon". I have no idea why they get their own *special* name.

  • Auto FICO score question

I have one more payment due on my auto loan (YAY!)  which I'll pay off in August.  Does paying off an auto loan affect my auto FICO score?  My FICO has my auto enhanced FICO scores at over 700.  Will that drop with a paid off loan?  Or does that number stay high since I have a good history with my auto loan?  Currently, it's my only installment loan on my report so I'm expecting to take a hit for my credit mix.  Thanks.

  • Another score question

How can I convert a dotted quarter to a quarter tied to an eighth? Without it affecting the actual matrix data, that is?

I still don't see how to change an existing dotted
quarter into a quarter tied to an eigth.. I tried
changing the syncopation settings for that note, and
nothing changed... The only way I can do this is if
I draw in a tie and an eighth note, then the dot
disappears, however logic still recreates a new note
event for the eighth note that I added even though
    the dot disappears (huh??)
Could you please give me step by step instructions on
    how to do this?
    -patrick
Well it also depends on where in the measure it falls and if you have interpretation on. Try this:
    1. Defeat interpretation on the note if necessary so that the dotted quarter looks like a dotted quarter i.e. on the 3rd beat.
    2. Go to the partbox in the Score Editor and select an 8th rest.
    3. Hold down the Shift key (user rest) and drag it to where the additonal 8th kicks in i.e. on the 4th beat.
Voila, you have a quarter tied to an 8th.
