SCORM in ELM 9.0 NoClassDefFoundError
I am getting the error "NoClassDefFoundError" when I try to upload the .zip file.
The Java .jar file is in the class folder and it is in the classpath, but I am still getting the error. Has anyone had this issue? The upload works in the Demo environment but not in development. Also, does anyone have any good information on creating the imsmanifest.xml file?
Hi,
This might be of some help

Articulate SCORM 1.2 content hangs when launched in Oracle OLM 12.1.3 RUP4
Hi Folks,
Using Oracle Learning Management (OLM) version 12.1.3. I have successfully uploaded the content zip having previously replaced 5.xsd's with the Oracle specific ones. The content uploads without error as expected.
Tracking type is set to SCORM 1.2 in OLM (CMI is not a listed option in this version). I've also uploaded the SCORM adapter and validated that this is working correctly. I have also uploaded, launched and successfully played the Oracle SCORM test object to verify and all checks out ok.
I have an issue where content begins to launch in the OLM course player and then hangs indefinitely. Status bar get to about 25% and stops.
The content is published to LMS > SCORM 1.2 in Articulate presenter. This is not unique to one piece of content we have created using Articulate (I've tested 3 and they all behave the same).
I'm assuming that this points to the issues being content specific but I've not ruled-out that it may be some relating to JAVA or specific to the clients IT Infrastructure.
Any advice and guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks and regardsHey Scott, good to hear from you.
Ever the Guru I see, hope life is treating you well at Seertech.
Articulate is version 9 and it's Presenter, the clients pc's have Flash version 10,1,102,64 installed. On that basis do you reckon the Flash updater is worth a go?
Also not sure if it's relevant but on the Flash Player angle, the same content published in AICC in presenter plays fine.

Captivate 4 scoring in Peoplesoft ELM
Hi all--hoping to get some help with our issue: our Captivate courses are not scoring correctly when taken through our Peoplesoft ELM. Our Articulate courses ARE scoring correctly.
The Captivate courses are scoring correctly on the ELM/Component piece, but not on the ELM/Activity piece--which is what shows up on all the training records and reports.
Here are the Quiz Preference settings we are using to publish our Captivate courses:
We have tried different combinations of these settings, but none seem to make a difference. Peoplesoft either records the score of the Activity as '80' or '100'...nothing else, no matter what the component/real quiz score is (80, 90 or 100). The mastery score was set at 80, then we unchecked that, but still no change.
Does anyone have any suggestions?I've found it! Here's the answer:
Set the following in your Captivate -->Preferences:
Project-->Start and End-->Project end options = Close Project
For SCORM 1.2 courses:
Quiz-->Reporting-->Report Status = Complete/Incomplete
Quiz-->Reporting-->Report to LMS as = Percent
Quiz-->Reporting-->Choose Report Data = Quiz results and slide views
Quiz-->Reporting-->Reporting Level = Interactions and Score
Quiz-->Reporting-->Manifest: make sure the SCO-->Mastery score is either unchecked or <= the Pass or Fail score/percent
These settings work wonderfully for our Peoplesoft ELM LMS! We are now scoring correctly 100% of the time.
However, because you are reporting the 'Quiz results and slide views', you will need to make sure none of your slides are longer than the pause time (assuming you have an interaction pausing your slide). This is because Captivate doesn't count a slide as being 'viewed' unless it's completely viewed for the length of time assigned (3.0 seconds, 5.0 seconds, etc. For those times when you need a longer slide for some reason (multiple clicks on one slide, for example), factor those slides into your Slide View Completion percent (for example, change 100% to 95%). This also applies to branching...be sure to set your Slide View Completion percent low enough to allow completion based on the minimum number of slides learners will view, no matter what branch they take. -
Does anyone have experience with uploading Captivate project to PeopleSoft. Our PeopleSoft admistrator is telling that PeopleSoft is not remembering where the Learner has left off. I have ensured that in Project -> Advanced Interaction all of the buttons on reach slide are being reported on. PeopleSoft is not remembering where the Learner has left off.
Can anyone Help?
Thanks,
BonnieYou do NOT have 'Never send resume data' checked, right?
One of Captivate's flaws is it doesn't set the cmi.exit parameter correctly. If it's meant to resume, it should set that parameter to 'suspend'. Technically, per SCORM, if the lesson doesn't set cmi.exit properly, the LMS should NOT give back resume data.... Few LMS products actually do this, so it's usually not a problem with Captivate...but if ELM is enforcing this and not giving the lesson back its suspend_data because the cmi.exit value isn't being set properly....it's really CP's fault....and unless there's a way to change that in the ELM LMS, there's probably nothing you can do about it (unless you can figure out how to make your CP lessons force the cmi.exit value to set correctly via custom code....?)
I'm not guaranteeing this is the problem, but could be likely. I'm sure your ELM admin would like it to be ;-)

NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/sql/log/OpenSQLException
I have developed a Java project. It consists of 2 SQLJ files and then a Java class. When I try to execute the Java program, I get a Java error:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/sql/log/OpenSQLException
at com.mbb.crrs.business.report.dao.ReportDAO.<init>(ReportDAO.sqlj:23)
at com.mbb.crrs.business.report.dao.Test.main(Test.java:24)
Exception in thread "main"
I notice a similar problem on message: Re: Which jar to include com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLException
Is that something that I need to maintain for it to work? Thank you.Hi,
the problem one year ago was that the SQLException class was not available through remote access. I don't know if that might have been changed meanwhile in the latest release.
I implemented a simple work around: I caught every SQL-exception in the method where it was thrown, wrapped the exception message and any nested exception in a self written exception and threw this new exception. That worked fine.

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
Am using java 1.3.1 on Red Hat Linux 7.1
i get this error
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
while running a simple program HelloWorld.java
helpWhen you use the "java" command, the only required argument is the name of the class that you want to execute. This argument must be a class name, not a file name, and class names are case sensitive. For example, "java HelloWorld.java" won't work because the class name isn't HelloWorld.java, it's HelloWorld. Similarly, "java helloworld" won't work because a class defined as "public class HelloWorld {" is not named helloworld due to case sensitivity. Finally, the .class file must be in a directory that is in the Classpath - that's where java.exe searches to find the file that contains the class.

When I create an EJB Transport Business Service, after selecting the jar that has the EJB 2.1 artefacts (Remote, Home, etc) the oepe plugin fails and can't continue.
As I understand it seems that there is a problem with the classpath of ant build.xml that oepe creates inside folder /tmp/alsbejbtransport/ to compile the bs and generate the wsdl. I checked if tools.jar is in the classpath (in eclipse) and is included, so I can't figure out wich is the problem.
I found this in Oracle, but not helps solve the problem:

Greetings,

Hi,
I am having an issue with SAP adapter configuration. It throws below error in log files :
java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: JCO.classInitialize(): Could not load middleware layer 'com.sap.mw.jco.rfc.MiddlewareRFC'
JCO.nativeInit(): Could not initialize dynamic link library sapjcorfc [no sapjcorfc in java.library.path]. java.library.path [opt/apps/Oracle/jdk160_14_R27.6.5-32/jre/lib/i386/client:/opt/apps/Oracle/jdk160_14_R27.6.5-32/jre/lib/i386:/opt/apps/Oracle/jdk160_14_R27.6.5-32/jre/../lib/i386:/opt/apps/Oracle/patch_wls1032/profiles/default/native:/opt/apps/Oracle/patch_jdev1111/profiles/default/native:/opt/apps/Oracle/jdk160_14_R27.6.5-32/jre/lib/i386/client:/opt/apps/Oracle/jdk160_14_R27.6.5-32/jre/lib/i386:/opt/apps/Oracle/jdk160_14_R27.6.5-32/jre/../lib/i386:/opt/apps/Oracle/patch_wls1032/profiles/default/native:/opt/apps/Oracle/patch_jdev1111/profiles/default/native:/opt/apps/Oracle/wlserver_10.3/server/native/linux/i686:/opt/apps/Oracle/wlserver_10.3/server/native/linux/i686/oci920_8:/opt/apps/Oracle/wlserver_10.3/server/native/linux/i686:/opt/apps/Oracle/wlserver_10.3/server/native/linux/i686/oci920_8:/opt/apps/Oracle/Oracle_SOA1/soa/thirdparty/edifecs/XEngine/bin:/opt/apps/Oracle/Oracle_SOA1/soa/thirdparty/edifecs/XEngine/bin]
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class com.sap.mw.jco.JCO
Invoking SAP targets from bpel or iwafjca test servlet fails with "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class com.sap.mw.jco.JCO."
I am able to connect from Application Explorer(AE) and browse through idocs and bapis. I tried to check the class loading pattern for AE using Jconsole :
1. Started the AE
2. /opt/apps/Oracle/jdk1.6.0_19/bin/jps
15279 BseFlashScreen
3. /opt/apps/Oracle/jdk1.6.0_19/bin/jconsole 15279
Enabled verbose output on class loading page and connected to SAP target from AE
4. The verbose output shows below :
Loaded com.sap.mw.jco.JCO from file:/opt/apps/Oracle/Oracle_SOA1/soa/thirdparty/ApplicationAdapters/lib/sapjco.jar
I have added the above path to my LD_LIBRARY_PATH
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}:${WL_HOME}/server/native/linux/${arch}:${MW_HOME}/Oracle_SOA1/soa/thirdparty/ApplicationAdapters/lib:${MW_HOME}/user_projects/domains/base_domain/lib:${WL_HOME}/server/native/linux/${arch}/oci920_8
I also added the path to WEBLOGIC_CLASSPATH in commEnv.sh file.
The sapjco.jar, libsapjcorfc.so and librfccm.so files are also available under below directories
WL_HOME/server/lib
MW_HOME/Oracle_SOA1/soa/thirdparty/ApplicationAdapters/lib
MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/lib
Any suggestions will be really helpful.
Regards
SubhankarHi Manoj,
I have added the libsapjcorfc.so and librfccm.so files to below locations:
WL_HOME/server/lib
MW_HOME/Oracle_SOA1/soa/thirdparty/ApplicationAdapters/lib
MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/lib
And also set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH and WEBLOGIC_CLASSPATH in commEnv.sh file.
Eg:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}:${WL_HOME}/server/native/linux/${arch}:${MW_HOME}/Oracle_SOA1/soa/thirdparty/ApplicationAdapters/lib:${MW_HOME}/user_projects/domains/base_domain/lib:${WL_HOME}/server/native/linux/${arch}/oci920_8
Is there any other location where these need to be added ? I hope library path/system path refers to the WEBLOGIC_CLASSPATH ?
Regards

Looks like your CLASSPATH is not set properly...Just try to Put the Jar inside "<DOMAIN_HOME>\lib" directory...in that case u need not to alter anything in the Classpath variable...it will be appended at the end of Classpath at the run time, Using Extended Directory ClassLoader.
by default Classpath settings doesnt take effect if we specify it in the startScript of Servers but we start them using NodeManagers...So if you are using Nodemanagers to start your Servers... then you can follow the below link to set the Classpath & Memory Arguments http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/2010/03/26/nodemanager-based-managedservers-setting-mem_args/

thanks for the replies.
well i guess that(user authentication) is not the problem.
Coz that happens even before i start the web service.
i guess the problem is that the appl. is not finding the TaskMonitor class ( see the last 10 lines of the log).
does anyone have a solution for that.
thanks -

Either a missing jar or the classpath is not defined right. -
Hi there,
I'm trying to generate Java Proxies for SAPJCO using the SAP Java Connectivity Builder (JCB). I got it from the NetWeaver 6.20 Release. The tool installs and runs properly but after putting in the connection properties and klicking "next", the application hangs. When activating System output, I get the error shown below.
I already tried to put all jar files contained in the C:\JBuilder5\lib\ext directiry into the classpath (but none of them contains the class mentioned).
Which is the right (standalone) tool for generating Java Proxies for a standalone Java application?
If it is JCB, is there a bug on the version I use (NetWeaver Release 6.20)?
Any help would be apreciated.

I understood that the reference to the class is "com/sap/tc/webdynpro/clientserver/portal/sf/WDPortalServiceType" not there at runtime ?? ..
In which folder should i place the corresponding JAR file in the server ?? .. plz guide me...
Thankz
K.The Jar file would be there on the server. But you need to mention in your project that you're going to use it.
Have you mentioned it in your PortalApp.xml, under sharingreference or servicereference?

JP
