Scrap Movement type + reason code - different GL account ( OBYC)
Hi Experts -
I have an issue in hand which explains as below ...
User wants to post Scrap movement of different reason to post to different GL account with T.Code OBYC. SAP has a movement type 561 for Scrap related account determination. In the standard SAP situation, we can post to ONLY ONE GL account for Scrap using 561 movement type. But my situation is like this - A material can be scrapped due to different reason (reason code) and based on the reason (I use reason code A - E), I want to post it to different GL account.
In standard SAP , we can define the account determination (OBYC) for scrap with ONLY ONE GL account as follows ...
Val. modifier - Plant 1
Val Class - 1111
General/Account Modifier - VNG (mapped to 561)
GL Account - Z123456
But my scenario is like this ....
561 + reason code A should post to Z123456
561 + reason code B should post to Z999999
561 + reason code C should post to Z111111
I was thinking for creating new General modifiers for different codes (A - E). Please suggest me if that solution is feasible else provide me an efficient solution.
Thanks much.
Regards,
Jude
HI
Defining new general modifiers is an option.
Alternatively you can look at defining a new substitution rule. The substitution rule will only hold good if the GL Account for scrap is not used anywhere else. (This should ideally be the case if it a scrap account).
In the substitution rules you can check for the particular scrap account number and then depending on your reason code, you can change the GL account before it is posted to.

How can i move ipod onto a different icloud account pls
i want to move ipod onto a different icloud account without losing any info on my iphone which is on the same icloud account
You can only keep data of your calendar, contacts etc. on your device, if you decide to delete your iCloud account from your device. Just go to "Settings > iCloud" scroll down and press on "Delete Account", then choose the option to keep the data on your device. After that sign in with your other account and choose "Merge data".

Mov types not affecting G/L accounts
hi gurus, can anyone explain whether there are any movement types not affecting G/L accounts? for e.g when any movt. is made it shouldn't hit financials .
tks in advanceHi,
Some of the examples of mov types not affecting G/L accounts:
Mvt type 311 -Transfer between storage location to another storage location within a plant,
Mvt type 511 - GI delivery without chanrge.
Usually for material type UNBW "non valuated material", only Qty. update is active & no value update. Hence no accounting data is maintained in Material master hence stock values are not updated and no accounting documents are created for such Mat types.
Thanks,

How do I move printers to a different ePrintCenter account without losing my ePrint address?
You may find that you have a lot of printers on an ePrintCenter account and want to divide them across multiple accounts, but they are already setup on one account and want to keep the ePrint address.
There are some other scenarios where a printer may need to be moved from one account to another, but it does not seem it is well known.
This is from the Help section of www.eprintcenter.com.
Move a printer from one ePrintCenter account to another
Removing a printer from one ePrintCenter account allows you to add it to a different ePrintCenter account. To move a printer from one ePrintCenter account to another:
Click on the “X” on the printer's tab on your ePrintCenter account to remove the printer from that account. Note: Your printer's Print Apps and ePrint features will continue to work after it is removed from your account.
Using the Web Services option on printer front panel menu, reprint the Web Services Information Sheet with the printer code on it.
Log into the desired ePrintCenter account and add the printer as you normally would. If you don't know your printer ID or email address, use the Web Services menu to retrieve it from the printer.
Note: You will not be able to use ePrintCenter to configure your print apps or manage ePrint settings unless your printer is added to an ePrintCenter account.

BADI for movement type 601 and COGS GL account
Hello SAP expert,
I am searching a solution from SAP enhancements.
The requirement is to provide different COGS GL account based on the Customer Account Assignment Group value(KNVV-KTGRD) when SAP performs goods issue. for example, movement type 601,
This means, when company ships goods to differnt customers, then SAP should generate different COGS GL account.
for example, when company ships goods to customer account assignment group '01' (Domestic customers), then SAP should generate COGS GL account 818100.
when company ships goods to customer account assignment group '02' (export customes), then SAP should generate COGS GL account 818200.
when company ships goods to customer account assignment group '03' (Testing - sample customers), then SAP should generate COGS GL account 818300.
the logic is following:
KNVV-KTGRD COGS GL account at goods issue
01 Domestic 818100
02 Export 818200
03 Testing - sample 818300
04 Testing - VOM 818400
05 Franchise 818500
Is there any similar BADI available to solve the above?
Happy New Year!
Regards,
Sylvia ChenHello,
First of all, Happy New Year!
Thank you for the tip.
Enhancement LMR1M002 was already implemented in the current SAP environment.
The text is "Account grouping for GR/IR account maintenance".
Function "EXIT_SAPLKONT_011" is the component under Enhancement LMR1M002.
That is all I can see from SAP.
I am not an ABAP person.
Can you provide information for the next step?
Thank you.

Movement type to manually input GL account
Hi Expert,
I have an issue from my user.
There are certain transactions in our operations was not in the preset movement type as shown during MIGO. As the GL accounts was preset they were unable to choose another account to reflect the
actual situation. For eg when they issue Finished Goods to charity there is no movement type to reflect this situation. They have a GL Account for charity.
Normally what they do during MIGO they select Goods Issue/Others and use movement type 551 (withdrawal for scrap from unresticted area) and write the remarks in text given for the transactions.
Then they raise a manual JV to post to the right account from 551 accounts. They would like to avoid this thus we required a movement type whether ingoing or outgoing stock whereby they can decide which account should be posted during MIGO.
My question is which movement type can be used for this purpose? And how to set it up? Please help to guide step by step. Thanks. You can create an internal order and issue the materials to the order using movement type 101. When you create the internal order you define the cost element for assigning costs, i.e. cost center, profit center, etc. Internal orders do not actually collect cost, they are statistical and pass the cost directly to the cost element assigned.
This would probably be better than just using G/L accounts to separate items given to charity. You need to closely coordinate with your finance expert for requirements. -
Movement type to manually input GL account for charity

James has suggested to use internal order and issue the materials to the order using mvt type 101 but the problem is this company not set up for internal order. I don't to make it even worsen, so please can anyone tell me what movement type i can use for this and how to configure so that GL can be put manually.
ThanksHi Raj
the message is not 'data locked by user'. There is just a window with window name 'Locked data', then have text field without any contents inside, then got button Yes and No. Normally for other mvt types i will not gonna have this. It will just bring me straight to OMJJ screen.
Well anyway i was not the one who created the Z65.So im not sure either it was copied from 551 or new created. What is the impact if i just assigned MIGO and MB1A to this transaction? Will it appear in the movement type drop down list in MIGO and MB1A later?
Thanks. -
Movement type 941 is not posting accounting document
While postig post goods issue for replacement order no accounting document is being created, only PCA document is being created. Numbers are zero on PCAdocument, thats probably the reson whuy accounting document is not being generated. Is there any configuration that drives the passing of cost to FI? I see that material is valued at 100 ncurrency units.
Hello Pankaj,
In OMJJ transaction, you can set customizing for movement type 941.
If you want to create FI document when you post metarial document, you must set valuation update check in Account Grouping node on OMJJ customizing.

Movement Types and value string in account determination.
Hi Team,
In the account determination how and where the movement types and value string are assigned to each other.
Thanks,
Sanjayhi
Value Strings
Posting records are assigned to each relevant movement type in Inventory Management and to each transaction in Invoice Verification.
Value Strings indicates the posting rule that always contains the same account assignment characteristics for a certain transaction or event (for example a goods movement or an invoice receipt).
Each goods movement is assigned to a Value String and each Value String in turn is assigned to Transaction/ Event keys. These settings are pre-defined and can not be changed.
You can see the linking of Value Strings in the following tables:
T156S- Movement Type: Quantity/ Value Posting (For movement type--> Value String)
T156W- Posting String Values (For Value String--> Transaction/ Event key)
I had found the following Value Strings in the system: WA01, WA03, WA04, WA06, WE01, WE06 and WF01. -

Movement type authorisation for different storage locations
Hi sdners
can we make the movement type restricted to any storage location
Ex: i have 2 storage locations 1110 and 1114 in plant 1100
and i have two end user mst1 mst2
if so i want to make sure that mst1 is responsible only for issue goods from 111o
and he should not able to issue goods from 1114 vice versa to mst2
is there any possible configuration please let me know.
With regards
S.K.chaitanyaHi
u can achive this through authorization
First
You need to activate the storage location authorization check for goods movements in config
SPRO->Materials Management->Inventory Management and Physical Inventory->Authorization Management->Authoization check for storage locations.
Then required control is achieved via authorization object M_MSEG_LGO.
Get in touch with Basis and ask him to remove required storage location from user ID so that that user will not able to pass any movement to that storage location

Can you move files between two different user accounts in Time Capsule?
I copied a bunch of stuff from my old NAS (which used FAT) to Time Capsule under one user account... I then reformatted the NAS to HFS+ so I could just use it as a USB drive connected to the TC. Now I realized that I want to have one of those folders in another user directory. I cannot open two different sessions of the TC on the computer...at least I have not figured out how to do this. Is there a way to accomplish this without copying the folder to my computer, then copying it back to the other user directory? It is several gigs.
you can crop files from one account to another using the Public Dropbox which every user account has. Log into the user that has the files you want to move, then drag the folder you want to the new users' dropbox:
I suggest a small scale test on a few files first before moving gigabytes of files. -

MM Pricing procedure - Condition type post to different GL account in MAP
Hi All,
We have a requirement for posting intercompany Stock transfer between Company A and B, and the transfer price will be Moving Average Price (say $ 100) + Mark up (say 25% i.e., 25) of supplying plant.
Created a new PO pricing procedure, and created a new Accrual condition type ZMRK for markup and made it statistical posting. Also in the pricing procedure the Condition type we assigned an Account key ZM1 and Accrual Key ZMA. we tried posting the Goods receipts in the receiving Company B, and it is posting the following entry :
Invetory A/C DR 125 (note: Account key ZM1 was not considered for debit account for markup)
GR/IR A/C CR 100
Markup Accrual A/C CR 25
REQUIREMENT: Our requirement is that the Mark-UP condition should not hit Inventory Account and should be debited to I/C Mark Up account (assigned to Account key ZM1) and entry should be as below:
Inventory A/C DR 100
Markup A/C DR 25
GR/IR A/C CR 125 (accrual is not required, if we can include the markup into GR/IR account)
OR
Inventory A/C DR 100
Markup A/C DR 25
GR/IR A/C CR 100
Markup Accrual A/C CR 25
NOTE: The Material is maintained as Moving Average Price and we dont want to add the Mark Up cost into the MAP of the receiving plant.
Please check and let me know if there is a way to do a condition type in PO pricing procedure to solve the issue of not hitting the inventory posting for condition record or any other way to handle this requirement.
Thanks in advance,
SuryaHey surya,
I am also facing the same issue. Can you pls let me know whether you achieved this using any standard configuration. -
Different material- same valuation class-same movement type - but should hi
dear all,
Different material- same valuation class-same movement type - but should hit different gl account.
the requirement is the materials are different but having same valuation class. Now during issue certain gl account are hitting because of val grp code, account modifier and account determination in mov type. Now my question is can i use same movement type and hit different gl account for materials having same val class???
It is possible??Hi,
In OBYC, we maintain G/L account for the transaction key (for ex: GBB) for the combination of Val. grouping code, Valuation class & account modifier (ex: VBR - determined via mov.type).
As per your requirement, Materials have the same valuation class and you are using the same mov.type for Goods Issue, so only option is to use different val.grouping code (which is assigned to a valuation area).
So in short, you can trigger different G/L for the different materials with same val class, mov.type only if the Plant - valuation area is different.
If the Plant is same then system will always determine the same G/L even though materials are different.
Hope it is clear.
Thanks & Regards,
