Scrap reduction in MFBF

Hi All,
Can anyone explain Scrap scenario in REM using MFBF transaction
1) if scrap is not maintained in Material master/BOM then by using MFBF scrap option can we do it?
2) REM Confirmation type - Activity backflush usage or scenario

I've been using Creative Cloud since last September and been paying AUD $37.99 + AUD $1.14 exchange rate fee (yes I am bitter about that), however I just looked at my account and it shows my monthly subscription payment is now $29.99. Hi All,
If I am doing yield posting from MFBF i can see reduced quantity in MD04.
If I am doing scrap posting from MFBF quantity is not getting reduced from MD04.
how can i achieve it via ABAP coding. pleae help with any exit or sample code.

MFBF- Costing Issue

Dear Friends,
I have one issue reg. costing in MFBF.When do yield / scrap posting in MFBF , in post with correction screen we remove some of the components which are not consumed especially in case of scrap posting of assembly but system will consider assembly cost i.e. cost of header material as per std cost estimate only considering all components.Is there any way by which we can get the actual cost as per component consumption in MFBF?

This is not possible.
First let me clear one thing from your side,you are saying 10 components are required for making a
product.
Does it mean 10 quantity of a component or 10 different components?
IF its going to be 10 different component's means,then there is no meaning in taking the costing run.
This is because you are not certain about how the product is going to be produced,sometime it may
happen by consuming all the 10 components and sometime it may be consuming 8 out of the 10
different components.
now case1 I hope you are suing standard cost estimate for backflushing the datas,so the system
considers the std cost of the product while backflushing.
Still your query is not clear.
Please clarify my above doubts.

Operation based onfirmation in REM

I am having 3 operations and on the 2nd operation, some testing will be done. This result in identification of component as OK or Not Ok. How can I capture the Not Ok quantity, as I need to have a report for the rework quantity or scrap quantity. I need to link Material, Planned Order and Quantity.
But I am unable to enter the rework quantity in MFBF a sthere is no provision to capture rework quantity in MFBF. If I enter rework quantity through inprocess inspection point functionality, this rework quantity is no where updated in MFBF.
This is mapped thru REM.

Hi Vineeth,
I would suggest to have seperate storage location for the rework.
You can select the storage location in MFBF. for scrap you have the scrap option in MFBF. Here the scrap cost will be posted to your cost collector.
For reporting perspective you can use Defect recording through inspection lot, In Quality Notification you will get the linkage of the production version in notification documents.

BAPI for MFBF Scrap Transaction

Does anyone know if there is a BAPI that can do an MFBF scrap transaction? The transaction would need to both accumulate earned hours and issue material. The processing type would be ZB.

Indicator to include component scrap in the details screen of MFBF tcode

Hi ,
There is an indicator in the 'Details' screen of MFBF transaction to "Include Component scrap".
User has to select this indicator everytime he wants to include the component scrap or is there a way to save this setting ?
If it is defaulted from some config settings ..please let me know where it is maintained.

Repetitive Component Scrap for MTS scenario using MFBF transaction

Hi,
We are trying to replicate the functionality of posting a backflush document to process Repetitive material component Scrap for MTS scenario with BOM explosion using MFBF transaction into a custom RF program.
We tried to use 'BAPI_REPMANCONF1_CREATE_MTS' to backflush the Scrap for the above scenario. But it did not help. And no other BAPI's exist. BDC'ing the transaction doesn't help as it contains Table Controls and lot of subscreens an dit is highly volatile for a RF screen.
In view of above restrictions, we are not able to find a solution of how to implement the above functionailty in a RF program.
Can someone please help us in this regard.

Assy Scrap and MFBF

Hi,
We are using assy scrap for FERT material in Material master.
Ours is repetitive mfg, so dring MFBF the concept of Assy scrap is not reflecting i.e if my assy scrap is 3% & I am doing backflushing for 100 EA....it should take 103 EA .......but its not happening..

automatically.
Till now I have never come across issue regarding Assembly
scrap.In which version does this problem occurs?
Just activate the user exit and check once again.

Only Remote-Desktop and Replication with 0.0 Reduction

Hi guys,
I have a solution with 16 WAAS 4.4.3 and I got good numbers in all default applications except Remote-Desktop and Replication
( All Traffic 53% of Reduction).
I can understand not otimize Remote-Desktop Applications cause the customer is using Metaframe with crypto and already compacted and
using too RDP with crypto/compacted.
But in the Replication I would expect some gain in Active Directory and MS-FRS Replication.
I got 0.0, Actually, the optmized traffic is biggest that the Original Traffic.
I have to modify something in the Microsoft servers to be able to got reduction in Replication Application ??

As you said, you need to only send the changes over the line.
Java can not tell you what has changed, so you need to either write some JNI, or do a check on the current image, with the last image. (this would eat quite a bit of CPU time on the server).
It might be worth looking at the source for VNC, and other simler products.
The simpliest solution would be to split the image into blocks of x by y pixels, then do a pixel-by-pixel check on that block, and only send the block if it has changed.
Next thing to think about is scrapping RMI, and using raw sockets. RMI has a fair sized overhead.
Zipping a JPEG is unlikely to have any effect. A JPEG is already compressed.
You might want to look at a lossless compression format, like PNG, as the JPEG will have articles. This might be acceptable. If so, changing the compression ratio of the JPEG might be an option.
Finally, the bottle neck might be the call to Robot.createScreenCapture. This is not the fastest method.

Question about sloc determination in MFBF and backflush in REM

Dear SAPper,
I just try to read about Repetitive Manufacturing and i came with some confused item.
1. I try to backflush MFBF and i don;t fill the planned order, but the backflush is succedd. Something
strange is my planned order is not decrease:(, so do i have to fill planned order number every time i backflush. Can i backflush anonymous to planned order number and the system derease the planned order automatically in FIFO manner
2. I configure the auto sloc determination and i have set maximum number of split unlimitted.
for example in MFBF i need 50 PC Raw Material
My stock in SLoc 1000 is 40 PCS
My stock in SLoc 2000 is 200 PCS
I configure the sloc determination like this
1. F 1000
2. F 2000
Nut in MFBF component always withdraw from 2000 with 50 (full quantity) although i set maximum number of split maximum
I tried batch determination before and it split.
Did i miss something so the system can split the quantity along sloc automatically

Normally in the rem for backflush just u have to enter the product and qty then system will automatically reduces the planned order.
But in situation if planned order is not reducing then please check ur REM profile in the "control data2" tab
In this which one u have select for the planned order reduction.
2)
Regarding stock determination, create stock determination rule thr' T CODE:OXPS.
Here u have to create stock determination rule first from which storage location material should be picked, depending upon the priority.
Assign this stock determination rule in the material master or in the REM profile "Control data2 " tab.
Then system will automatically pick the material depending upon the stock determination rule.

Excluding reduction of assigned funds on movement 411 Q

Hello,
we are maintaining a project in which after the goods receipt the following occurs:
step 1: goods are transferred from project stock to own using mvt 411 Q
step 2: goods issue occurs at consumption at cost centre using mvt 201
now the issue is that we dont want the Assined Budget to get reduced by the amount of valuated stock transfer occurring as a result of step 1.
at the same time we also want the normal assigned funds reduction/increase on goods transfer between 2 WBS elements.
Is there anyway to configure the system for the particular mvt type?

As far material valuation is concerned, if material is valuated at plant level and any posting or stock transfer should affect the valuation (in your case project). It is consuming budget (assigned value as a result) because of its valuation and same should be affected because of any subsequent movement.
You can use a dummy plant where in which the material has no valuation (apart from the WBS element plant where it is valuated) for your scenario but this is not really helpful.
Could you tell us what is the exact business scenario in your case as you are using multple movement types (reciept to project stock, moving to plant stock and then consumption to cost center - is it for scrapping?)

Movement 551 of header Material in MFBF in REM

Hi,
I am having an issue, In REM scenario there is a planned order of 10 Qty. I am using MFBF trx to confirm 5 qty as scrap by using assembly scrap. In this, system posting 261 mvt for components but there in no 551 mvt of Header material, Can anybody tell me what kind of process exactly happening? (There is not any change in planned order after this trx)

As per my thinking in assembly scraping Mvt for header material is 551 & for its components it should be 261, But when I am doing MFBF, there is not any mvt for header material happening but 261 happened for components.
I have question that why 551 mvt of header material not posted & there is not any effect on planned order against which I have done assembly scrap posting.
After doing MFBF only 261 mvt doc posted only I expect 551 for header which is not posting.
I need to know is mvt 551 for header material happens in assembly scrap in MFBF. Also if not happens then for the componets against which 261 mvt posted, where that qty goes then.

Operation scrap in routing

Hi All,
I want to know,what is the effect of maintaining operation scrap in routing?It does not effect the component qty allocated to that operation(as it dus in case of maintaining operation scrap in BOM).

Operation Scrap In the Routing is the amount of scrap (in percent) for the operation.
The effect of operation Scrap in the Routing :
The scrap in the operation causes a decrease in quantity in the next operation because the quantity to be processed is reduced by the scrap quantity.
The reduction of quantity is taken into account in scheduling and costing.

Scrap in Repetitive scenario

Hi,
My client produces different species of plants in nursery. Total planned order qty is 100, in MFBF client wants to post finished qty as 90 only because rest 10 qty is scrapped ( wasted).
Finished product has only one BoM item as seeds and one operation as labor operation.
How to do this in SAP and what about cost( of scrapped: material and labor ) and its related reports??

You said material document with V type is in MF12. I searched but couldn't find exactly as you said rather the V type which i found in MF12 was for documents created with reprocessing records. And now you are saying " as such there is no indicator in MF12".
Please explain in detail.

REM Backflush Scrap

Hello!!
I have a question on how the scrap is posted in MFBF transaction.
If we make 1000 units of a finished goods and 100 of them are scrap. In the MFBF transaction we can do the backflush for 1000 units first, this will leave 1000 units of finished good inventory and also system goods issues the finished goods BOM components. Then when i go in to record scrap for 100 units, system is only goods issuing on the BOM components and it is not reducing the finished good inventory by 100. How to handle this? We want to see 900 units in the finished good inventory.
Bottom line is, business wants to know both the gross units and the scrap for the finished goods.
Also, there is only one scrap movement 551 defined in the MFBF transaction, is there a way to have multiple scrap movements. We wanted to track multiple scraps with different movements depending on when it occurs during the production cycle.

You can maintain operation scrap, component scrap or assembly scrap and capture the extra goods movement. But this will increase consumption of materials where scrap is maintained. And you get report in terms of the total value (amount) but not in quantity.
What you can do is maintain scrap as one more material in BOM of FG with negative quantity. as by product.
When you backflush, system will list all materials being consumed along with scrap quantity calcuated with reff. to BOM quantity and total FG production qunatity. If you feel that scrap generated is different then you can change the quantity also here. You can define different store location to recieve the scrap quantity.
For Scrap movement type is 551 which is used in REM Profile.
