  • 0x803d0013 Error occured sending encryption status (A fault was received from the remote endpoint)

    Alright, I am stumped. I have looked at nearly every article on this error here at Technet and other sites:
    An error occurred while sending encryption status data.
    Error code:
    0x803d0013
    Details:
    A message containing a fault was received from the remote endpoint.
    First, I am testing this. I have copied the MDOP ADMX/ADML files directly to the client I am testing this on, and I am applying the policy via the Group Policy Management on the local machine. I am not deploying this via the domain. I wouldn't think that
    would make a difference, but please let me know if I am wrong.
    I have performed the following:
    1. (DisableMachineVerification)
    in MBAM registry as
    is in this article  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2612822
    2.  On the MDOP group policy I have enabled:
          I. Client Management
              A. Configure MBAM Services
              B. Configure user exemption policy
         II. Fixed Drive
              A. Fixed data drive encryption settings
              B. Choose how BitLocker-protected fixed drives can be recovered
         III. Operating System Drive
              A. Operating system drive encryption settings
              B. Choose how BitLocker-protected operating system drives can be recovered
         IV. Removable Drive
              A. Control use of BitLocker on removable drives
    3.
    On the MBAM Administration Server AD object, enable the “Trust for delegation for any service (Kerberos Only) option”, under the Delegation tab. Also,
    the user has been granted delegation privileges for all of the services on the server.
    4. SPN Records have been created for the server
    5. HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\FVE\MDOPBitLockerManagement
    Change the ClientWakeUpFrequency = 1 and StatusReportingFrequency=1
    Create a dword value “NoStartupDelay” under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MBAM and set its value to 1.
    Also, I did not encrypt my drive with MBAM. It was encrypted before hand. Is there anything I can check or do? The event logs on the MBAM server under MBAM-Web don't show anything under Admin or Operational.
    I think my KeyRecoveryServiceEndPoint and StatusReportingServiceEndpoint URLs are correct:
    https://mbam01.domainname.com:443/MBAMRecoveryAndHardwareService/CoreService.svc
    https://mbam01.domainname.com:443/MBAMComplianceStatusService/StatusReportingService.svc
    I even think there was a registry key to make the hardware compatible, but I don't remember which key it was, as I uninstalled and reinstalled, and don't remember where I found that on the forums.
    Any suggestions?

    If you have made changes to the web.config files to accommodate the SSL settings, you will not be able to browse the URLs with the http protocols. The URLs will then only work with the https protocols.
    Could you please confirm the login created for the particular local groups with the following permission:-
    For MBAM Compliance Auditing DB Access:-
    User Mapping – MBAM Compliance Status
    DB Role Membership – ComplianceWriteRole
    Server Roles – Public
    For MBAM
    Recovery and Hardware DB access:-
    User Mapping – MBAM Recovery and Hardware
    DB Role Membership – RecoveryandHardwareReadRole, RecoveryandHardwareWriteRole
    Server Roles – Public
    Make sure the MBAM Computer account (MBAM Web Server) is a member of these two groups.

  • Itunes could not connect to the ipad because an invalid response was received from the device

    Hello
    I just installed the maximus v extreme motherboard with a ocz vertex 4 ssd with windows 7 x64. Installation was fine and installing drivers went without a hitch. Re-installing the software i use went fine as well.
    However, when i went to use iTunes( v10.7) to sync my ipad i got an error message saying:
    "Itunes could not connect to the ipad because an invalid response was received from the device"
    I then connected my ipod nano to see if it will cause the same error, but it worked fine. So i tried an iphone and the same error I got for my ipad came up.
    I tried reinstalling the usb drivers, but the same error came up. I also updated BIOS to the latest version, but the error still came up. I also reinstalled itunes numerous times and still got the error. I reinstalled and updated all drivers as well. Again this did not fix the issue. I also tried to run itunes in vista compatability and xp compatability mode. Again this did not fix the issue.
    I have also followed all the steps apple recommends to do on their website with regards to this issue, again it did not fix the issue.
    It is a real pain as everything else works like a dream! Is there anything i can do to get itunes to work properly on my pc?
    Thank you for your help!
    System specs:
    asus rampage v extreme motherboard
    OCZ vertex 4 SSD
    8 Gb DDR3 RAM (1600 mHz)
    windows7 x64
    Intel i7 3.5Ghz 1155
    nvidia GTX295  (x2 running in Sli)

    I fixed this problem.  Believe the problem is iOS 7 incompatibility with older iTunes Versions on older MacOS systems or platforms.
    My iPad 2 would no longer sync with my old  PowerPC Mac mini running MacOS. My iPhone 3GS synced fine.  IPad2 updated to iOS 7 which doesn't run on my iPhone 3GS. Error message for iPad sync problem was "invalid response received from iPad" out of iTunes.  I then applied update iOS 7.1.2 to iPad and error message changed to indicate this version of iTunes not supported, use 11.1.
    iPad 2 used to sync prior to iOS 7 installation.
    Research on Apple web site shows iOS 7 on iPhones and iPads does not support older MacOS and iTunes versions.
    Upgraded with new Mac mini and iTunes 11.1 and MacOS 10.9.2. (put this off as long as I could.  )
    all good now.

  • Error : Invalid/unknown SSL header was received from peer

    Hi,
    I am having Weblogic 8.1 (SP5) Application Server running in US. I have a GUI application which is talking to this application server using SSL protocol. We have same SSL certificates installed machines from where this GUI application is executed.
    When I connect to this app. server from India, I am able to connect and do required operations, without any problem
    Using same GUI application when a user tries to connect from US, he is able to connect and do some basic operation. But after some time suddenly the connection with the server gets broken and he is not able to do any further operation. After that when he closes the application and tries to connect again, he is able to connect. Again after sometime server communication is broken. But I am able to connect and do operation on the same server and at the same time without any connection break up.
    When I checked Weblogic logs (wl-domain.log), I saw the below error printed.
    ####<Aug 30, 2006 7:54:40 AM CDT> <Warning> <Security> <TANGO2> <DevServer> <ExecuteThread: '24' for queue: 'default'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <BEA-090476> <Invalid/unknown SSL header was received from peer 220.225.40.242 - 220.225.40.242 during SSL handshake.>

    But server has not gone down, its up all the time. Only thing is after this error comes up, user is not able to do any operation. He has to close the application and reconnect to the server. This is happening after random operation and there is no particular pattern for this. Server connection gets broken after every 5-10 minutes when connected from US.
    Does anyone have any idea why this error comes?
    Does it have to do anything with Operation System?

    Please clarify. Do you believe that this is a JRockit error? If not, I would recommend one of the WebLogic newsgroups instead.

  • "Firefox.app" is an application which was downloaded from the Internet...

    This is a topic that has been posted before but I'm creating a new one because the previous discussion is closed and none of the answers solved my problem.
    Each and every time I launch Firefox, I receive the following warning, - “Firefox.app” is an application which was downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?"
    For the record, I have tried the following fixes with no success:
    - Removed the Firefox folder from user/library/application support both as a user and as an admin.
    - I logged in to the Mac as an admin. and launched Firefox. The message continues to pop up after doing this, while still logged in as admin.
    - I logged in to the Mac as an admin, went to Terminal and listed the attributes. The "com.apple.quarantine" attribute does exist, however, when I tried removing it with (xattr -d com.apple.quarantine <FILE NAME>), I am told that the attribute DOESN'T exist. Huh?
    I am trying to avoid completely removing Firefox and doing a fresh install but it may come down to this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    I had a similar problem with another application. I downloaded an update to an application from the developer, and then got this message every time I ran the program. There's a script to disable this behavior entirely on MacWorld's macosxhints site.
    I didn't want to disable this behavior for good, just for this one program. I realized that I had downloaded it as one user, but the first use (of the update) was as a different user. I logged in under the user ID that I used when I downloaded the application and ran the program. After that, the warning went away.
    My guess is that you did something similar. Log in as the user ID you used when you first downloaded the updated FireFox and run the program. The warning should go away.
    If you can't remember which user ID you used, try the brute force approach - log in as each of your user IDs and run FireFox.
    Good luck!

    I can use my ipad on my laptop but it will not connect to my main PC, I get the error message:
    "itunes could not connect to the ipad because an invalid response was received from the device"
    I have done all the Apple support ideas including re-installing itunes twice but no joy.
    It used to work a week or so ago and no, I can't think of anything I have done which would have stopped it.
    I have run msconfig and disabled everything but still no connection.
    Anyone got any ideas?????

  • Disabling that"..is an application which was downloaded from the Internet."

    Downloaded Camino and use it. Now I do not want that warning anymore on every start. I do not give **** how Apple rates security of the file. I know the application is safe so I want to click some checkbox to disable warning on Camino start:
    '“Camino” is an application which was downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?'
    The only unsafe Camino is to Safari as recent version of Safari is really troubled with hick-ups and freezes while Camino seems to be very similar except that it does not have those issues Safari has.
    I can only say what guy named Yeroen (read it if want):
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=4414559
    It is really Microsoft way. Can Apple get rid of that troll recenly hired in the company that makes Mac OS X now look like piece of... art that behaves so obnoxiously to a user? I cannot guess where Apple got those new ideas, but they definitelly look like some transplant from Vista and XP obnoxiousness. The only what comes to my mind is some folks that were contracted or hired from Microsoft. Shortsighted with narrow vision and lack of basic education on ergonomics of any user interface.
    Hey Apple I dropped Windows because of that! Why do you do this to me now?
    Sincerely,
    Maciek Samsel

    Okay. It looks like when copying from mounted .dmg file to Applications folder one needs to start Camino on that account and say once to allow start. This has to be done on account that was used to copy the file from downloaded .dmg.
    In my scenario, I have administrative account which is separate from users (and of course my own as I am not administrator daily). So Camino was bothering me until I went to administator account and started Camino once. Apparently it had to make some writings into hidden system files to rememeber the choice and the choice was made across accounts.
    I remember that similar issues were in Final Cut Express: you had to start the application from administrative account (the one that you used to install the application) once and after that you could easily go and use the application on other accounts at any time.
    Looks like this is some sort of pattern which I considered ill as user really should not need to do that pointless start on account that is not supposed to be used for the application. Installation account and use account should be interpretted as two separate with no overlap of preferences. Now this issue was in FCE,but as far as Camino... it sounds like Apple extends this lame pattern to security control and internal system preferences.
    Sincerely,
    Maciek Samsel

  • "Firefox" is an application which was downloaded from the Internet - Open?

    Everytime I go to open up programs (for example, firefox) I get a dialog box like this:
    “Firefox” is an application which was downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?
    Underneath it says "AppFresh downloaded this file on May 3, 2009". These programs are installed via an administrator, but I don't want to have to click yes every time on my standard account. What can I do?

    Peter:
    I don't want to have to click yes every time on my standard account.
    As noted in earlier posts, you should get that message the first time you launch firefox or any other downloaded application. If you get the message each time, for some reason the computer thinks it is the first time you are launching the application. Are you sure that the application is installed in the application folder? Or are you launching from the .dmg each time? If you are,
    double click on the .dmg file.
    When it opens drag the icon to the Applications folder and it will be permanently installed. You will need to authenticate to install, but you should not have to authenticate each time you launch the application.
    Drag any icon that you have in the Dock to the Desktop
    Then launch the application.
    If you want to keep it on the dock click and hold on the icon
    Select Keep in Dock in the pop-up menu.

  • "........" is an application which was downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?

    I get the following warning every time I try to open a recently download application. I'm running Mavericks 10.9.3
    "xxxxx' is an application which was downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?
    How do I disable this warning for a particular application?
    Update: problem solved. The Mac in question has multiple users, but only one user has administrator privileges. The problem was simply that the application in question had never been opened by the administrator. Once the administrator opened the application the warning went away.

    If using a mouse, you can right click on the application installer this will give you an "Open with" popup and you can chooes to open the application installer using the standard installer.
    Another method to do the same exact thing is to hold the Control key while left clicking on the Application installer will give you the exact same popup menu.

  • My phone's earphone doesn't work which was bought from USA last month,the china apple store didn't accept the free repaired,so what can i do now?

    my new iphone5s's earphone doesn't work which was bought from USA last month,probably it was cause by falling down on floor insidentally one day before I came back china , the problem is ,the china apple store didn't accept the free repaire even the phone was bought only one month age, I was so disappointed and realized the iphone 5s is so  fragile,although I previous iphone4 which was also bought from USA 4 years age, it also fell down many times, it still works well now.  what can i do now? send it back to USA for repairing? if like that,it will take almost two month to finish the all processes,that not only waste the time spent on the way, also waste expense on the expense,the important prlblem is,  I can't use the phone during the repairing~ please give me a solution as soon as you can ,thank you very much!

    You can send it to someone you know in the US to have them take it in for service or you can get on a plane and take it there yourself. You can not ship it to Apple in the US for service.

    Hello SOLMAN Experts,
    Iu2019ve  noticed quite strange behavior of my SOLMAN CCMS Alerts: CCMS Alerts keep coming for the system which was removed from the System Monitoring.
    Have you ever experienced this?
    Please advice
    Thank you
    123

    Hi 123,
    Please ensure that autoreaction methods are deleted for those systems.
    You can verify system to autoreaction method assigments via RZ21 --> Technical Infrastructure --> Configure Central system -->Assign Central Autoreaction
    also check if that system is appearing as online as follows
    RZ21-> Topology --> system overview --> Monitored and Remote SAP systems
    if yes , make it offline to stop triggering alerts.
    I hope this information will help you.

  • Invalid/unknown SSL header was received from peer nakina-132.nakinasys.loc

    Hello,
    Using 8.1 I am running in a clustered environment. I have 1 question and 1 issue.
    I have an Admin server, a managed server, and a load balancer (as a managed server also). I am trying to enable SSL on the load balancer. My first question is regarding the startup. When I start my managed servers, I noticed them loading the keystores numerous times:
    <Nov 16, 2004 2:18:37 PM EST> <Notice> <Security> <BEA-090169> <Loading trusted certificates from the jks keystore file C:\Nakina\ossFramework\dist\bea\weblogic81\server\lib\DemoTrust.jks.>

    Second issue. I am using a servlet through the load balancer to forward to my managed app server. Below is a snippet from my web.xml file:
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>HttpClusterServlet</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>weblogic.servlet.proxy.HttpClusterServlet</servlet-class>
    <init-param>
    <param-name>WebLogicCluster</param-name>

    <!-- List of cluster members e.g nakina-130:13666|nakina-109:13666 -->
    </param-value>
    </init-param>
    <init-param>
    <param-name>SecureProxy</param-name>
         <param-value>ON</param-value>
    </init-param>
    </servlet>
    As I understand, this should enable the SSL with the SecureProxy parameter. However I get the error on the managed server running port 9002 as it's SSL port:
    <Nov 16, 2004 2:59:22 PM EST> <Warning> <Security> <BEA-090476> <Invalid/unknown SSL header was received from peer nakina-132.nakinasys.local - 192.168.0.87 during SSL handshake.>
    If I remove the SecureProxy parameter, I get much more complaining about Plaintext:

    So I believe it is trying to use SSL with the SecureProxy parameter set (at least something changes). But why am I still getting the Invalid/unknown SSL header error. Enabling the SSL debug logs does not really provide much more information, that I can see.
    All servers are being run through the same domain. SSL is enabled on all servers, and listen ports disabled. My webtier has the transport-guarantee set to CONFIDENTIAL.
    Thanks in advance,
    Denis.

    Hi,
    I am also facing the same kind of problem...can anyone assist me?
    <br>
    I am facing a problem while configuring the SSL set up for weblogic cluster. (1 Admin server & 2 Managed servers)
    <br>
    <br>
    I configured the Keystore & SSL information for all 3 servers in cluster. I also disabled their Listen Ports (http) and enabled SSL Listen Ports (https).
    <br>
    <br>
    When I restarted all 3 servers and see the console on admin server (console-->domain-->Servers), I get state="UNKNOWN" for both managed servers. For admin server its "RUNNING".
    <br>
    <br>
    Also I get following log entries in <b>Admin server log</b>.
    <br>
    <Feb 10, 2006 4:07:32 PM EST> <Warning> <Security> <BEA-090476> <Invalid/unknown SSL header was received from peer >Managed_1_name.domain.com - Managed_1 IP during SSL handshake.>
    <br>
    <Feb 10, 2006 4:08:28 PM EST> <Warning> <Security> <BEA-090476> <Invalid/unknown SSL header was received from peer >Managed_2_name.domain.com - Managed_2 IP during SSL handshake.>
    <br>
    <br>
    <b>In Managed_1 log :</b>
    <br>
    <Feb 10, 2006 4:20:31 PM EST> <Warning> <Security> <BEA-090475> <Plaintext data for protocol T3 was received from peer >Managed_1_name.domain.com - Managed_1 IP instead of an SSL handshake.>
    <br>
    <br>
    <b>In Managed_2 log :</b>
    <br>
    <Feb 10, 2006 4:24:05 PM EST> <Warning> <Security> <BEA-090475> <Plaintext data for protocol T3 was received from peer >Managed_2_name.domain.com - Managed_2 IP instead of an SSL handshake.>
    <br>
    <br>
    Can anyone please help me here and direct me to resolve this problem? What could be the problem area? Do I need to set up anything else?
    <br>
    <br>
    <b>Thanks in advance.</b>

    I have an Ipod Touch 4G, Although I have tried two connection leads to the computer, it comes up with the message ' Itunes could not connect to "Dads Ipod" because an invalid response was received from the device'.   I can access the contents of the device via the connection leads using 'My Computer' but not through Itunes as the message always appears!!  Using WinVista Homebasic. Is this a known fault with the Ipod4 and VISTA? It works okay on a laptop, however, I would like an expert to take me through the steps to sort out my home desktop computer? Please help?  Thanks in advance
