Scratchy face makes scratchy audio-suggestions?

I was looking for a FCP filter to reduce the noise from an interview. His face/beard scratches against his shirt collar and makes a prickly noise. I've tried adjusting the high and medium frequencies in the 3 band equalizer, as well as the DeEsser. I don't want to have to export this to Soundtrack if I can help it, but the FCP forum said I probably would have to do it in Soundtrack. I haven't used it much - any suggestions?

I've run in to a similar situation with audio. As EQing is really the only way you might be able to reduce the noise (certainly not eliminate it) there's probably no good reason to use STP. Although, STP does have some better EQ tools than does FCP. Either way, don't expect miracles. Again, you might be able to reduce it some but you'll likely not eliminate it altogether.

First the link is a tutorial for iMovie on a Mac. I'm using iMovie on iPad so the steps are inapplicable.
Second it is only possible for me to manipulate the end part of the sound clip to whichever duration I want. But I can't do the same with the 'beginning' of the sound clip.
I simply want to place some photos in the beginning of my video with no sound in the background then after like 2 secs I want to start the music clip. For some reason that is not possible! Cause every time I drop the music clip unto my project timeline it automatically place it self along with the first frame in the project! And consequently the photos and music are forced to start together.
Hope I'm making sense...

Can I make the audio continue while a reader turns pages in iBook? With everything I've tried the music shuts off as soon as the page is turned. Thanks for any insight.

Latest: Working in Pages actually seems to work for this! Place the audio file in Pages (drag and drop works just fine), make sure the audio is inline (not floating) export Pages to ePub and run the Book Proofer . . . once you click to start the audio, the audio plays until the end, regardless of where you are in the book, it keeps playing. Minor victory because you loose a bit of the layout features that iBook Author has, but the audio now functions the way I was hoping.

Does anyone know how to separate a movie track from an audio track on the new Mavericks Garage band. It used to be very easy on the iLife 11 version. If anyone could respond ASAP I'd be grateful. I need to make an audio file from a video.

I urgently need to make some audio tracks from videos using the new 2013 GarageBand. In iLife11 Garageband, this was very easy. However, I cannot see how to do it in the new one. The alternative might be to revert to the iLife11 version, so does anyone know how to do this. It's extremely urgent since I need to produce these for a court custody hearing which will take place at 0800 GMT UK time on 31st October 2013. Please help.

When you drag a movie from the Media Browser to the Time lIne in GarageBand, you will see a pop-up "Extracting Audio".
The Movie and the audio file will appear in separate tracks. You can copy the audio region from the sound track to a different track to keep it safe and then hide the Movie track.

Is there a way to make it so that the audio preview that happens when you hold Control as you slide the Current Time Indicator handle is the default, so that you don't have to hold Control every time you slide it? It's gotten to where I'm holding Control anytime I slide that handle, so it would actually be quite convenient to be able to make the audio preview the default setting instead of requiring the holding down of Control. I searched in options but if it's there I must have missed it.

So... if i understand what you are trying to achieve...
When recording sing a single short note (To actually start the recording and then wait a bar before you start actually singing your music.. You can then go back and edit out the single note leaving the ambience... and your breathing intact and recorded.
