Screeching noise at the beggining of my project.

Everytime I record a video and I play it back in my bin, and it plays back fine. However once I put it up into a project, there is a really loud screeching noise at the beggining of the video. Has anyone had this problem?

I'm reviving this thread, because I'm still having this problem.
I've tried turning my speakers on mute while recording, and I've tried turning my mic down all the way while playing video back.
Any other suggestions, any help at all would be awesome.

  • Loud Screeching Noise through the Headphones on my Zen Touch?

I've had my Zen Touch for 2 days and it was working fine until one time when I tried to use it all I heard was a high-pitched noise coursing throughout my headphones. I can hear the music slightly but it is massi'vely overpowered by this noise. The noise is almost like the noise you hear when your modem logs online. I've tried changing the EQ settings and trying different tracks, basically everything. Anyone know what to do?

I've tried the headphones on a different source (my computer) and they seem to be working fine. Also, I have tried a different pair of headphones on my Zen Touch, which yielded the same result of a loud screeching sound. I checked the headphone jack with a flashlight and it appears to be clean.Message Edited by juxtapose on 02-5-2005 09:48 PM

  • I have a new iphone 5 and everytime I try to have a conversation there is this screeching noise that is driving me crazy.  What is this?

I have a new iphone 5 and cannot get the bugs worked out.  Is Iphone5 just a 'dud'?  For starters, everytime I have a phone call, there is this loud screeching noise in the phone.  Sometimes the other person can hear it and sometimes not.  It is loud enough at times I just have to end the call.  Also, this phone has problems with staying connected.  Is the 4g that much different than the 3g?  I have had a Iphone 4 for two years and loved it with no problems.  This one has been a problem from day one.  Get another one you say? Well, here's the kicker, I did.  I sent the other one back because I am on ATT and they allowed me to send it back and get another one.  The exact same problems as the first one.  I don't know what to do.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • IChat and Screeching noise

I bought my girlfriend a new MB and when we video chat using iChat, she gets this loud screeching noise and the mic stops working. This has happened twice, the first time only lasted a few seconds and stopped (I could hear it on my end too). The second time it lasted much longer and thats when the mic gave out. When we reconnected the video chat, it was all fine, and we used the program for a good while after with no problems.
Has this happened to any of you out there? Im not sure if this is a physical problem with the laptop, since she reported no faults with it at all. This is the only thing that is happening. Could this be audio feedback?

Most of the more recent Mac Laptops have had the Mic in one of the speaker grills.
The iChat software is supposed to cut the output to the relevant speaker so that feedback does not happen.
Muting the sound and then going to System Preferences > Sound Input and lowering the Volume here is a best place to start.
Once it is low enough allow sound back to iChat and adjust to volume to be high enough without causing feedback.
(if she says YOU are very loud you may have to use this setting at your end to make yourself quieter)

  • Screeching noise on receiving end of calls

My wife has an iPhone 5, running the most up-to-date software.  For about the last month or so, when she makes phone calls, the person on the other end of the line will experience extremely loud screeching noises.  The problem doesn't happen consistently, but when it does happen it can be very annoying.  We are both on the same cell phone plan and both with Verizon however, I do not experience the same issue.  Verizon blames it on the network and insists that it is not a problem with the phone.  Apple genius' are stumped, as everything checks out ok with the phone.  Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?  I'm interested to hear the experiences of others and maybe even possible fixes.

That happened to me before , I powered down once and another time I pulled battery and it was working fine after that. Try that if not try updating roaming *228 then 2. Last call Verizon and maybe de reset.

  • Weird Freezing Issues... with Screeching Noise!

It said to post here if it didn't fit any other categories. There was not a Post Topic button on the main page so I apologize if this is the wrong place. I have an Indigo iMac, bought from ebay, running 10.3.9 and 9.2.2. It arrived yesterday and I setup my admin account with no problem. But very, very randomly, it just freezes up. About half the time, when you hit the restart button the screen goes dark and there's a loud screeching noise while the power button flashes slowly. After which you have to hold in the power button to shut it off. turn it back on and it seems to run fine for awhile but then it'll freeze. Every now and then I get lucky and the restart button works normally.
Other issues that may be part of the same problem: I've received the "You need to restart your computer" warning in 4 languages about 3 times. when trying to Force Quit a System 9 Application it did a restart instead. LOL Icons in the dock will appear corrupted with see thru areas in them right before a freeze. I cannot not run Disk Utility to check for problems; it freezes immediately.
Other Information: I haven't had time to load most of my programs, I have no special fonts loaded yet (I'm a graphic designer), I'm using Verizon DSL for internet (but problems were present well before I loaded that up).
In short, I have no idea what's doing this. It's like nothing I've ever encountered. The symptoms are so random that it's hard to tell the cause. But one thing is guarateed. It will freeze up sometime during use. Every time. The computer is lightning fast for it's age, and when it works, it works great, so I don't want to return it. I just want to fix whatever the bug is. Any help is greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need other information I may not have thought to give.

Did you check out the RAM? Screeching noises are not good, you might want to run the hardware test and also see if the HD is in good shape. In the end, you might be better off returning it and getting another one, there are lots out there.
You can probably get a more informed reply if you post to http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=888, which covers the CRT iMacs.
    Good luck,

When i plugged my ipod into the computer it started to make buzzing and screeching noises. It became hot so i removed it and then the screen froze while it continued to make these noises. I have never had anything like this happen. (never gotten it wet or had it exposed to extreme temperatures) It is also unresponsive to any buttons on the ipod and it didn't show up when i plugged it into my computer. What do I do? Also if it is unfixable could i get a free one from apple?

  • Print Gantt Chart: blank at the beggining of the chart

    Hi Experts,
I am working with cProjects 4.5, trying to explore printing Gantt functionality.
    1. If I try to print a whole project, at the beggining of the graphic I have a gap of approximately 1,5 months before the project starts. How can I print the graphic view only from the project start date?
    2. If I had already completed phase 1, maybe printing that phase is irrelevant for me, and I want the graphic printing to start from phase 2. Can I choose a date from when I want to print the graphic?
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards,
    Neil

    Hi Experts,
There are some notes to be implemented about this topic for version PPM45. In PPM50 it is solved.

  • Premiere Pro CS6 - video noise in the exported file

    Hi everyone,
Im trying to make the transition from FCP7 to Premiere Pro CS6. I edited my first project with Premiere Pro and exported the sequence. However I noticed that the exported file had more video noise than the original clips.
The material is shot by Canon 5D Mark III and edited natively in the Premiere's timeline. Then they are exported to ProRes 422. After noticing the noise I exported the sequence as "match the sequence settings" and it created the .mpeg file. Same thing, there was noise. I then tried another other formats of that same clip and transcoded the Mark III footage to Xdcam EX 1080p before sending to premiere. Same thing, no matter what I did.
The only way i got the exported file to look the same as original file, was to convert the files before sending to ProRes 422, then edit those files in Premiere in the sequence thats settings are XDCAM EX 1080p and then to export it to ProRes422.
Do you have any thoughts for this. The noise I'm talking about is not a huge amount of noise but definitely noticeable if you look the FULL-HD material.
I really hope there is some setting I missed. Im using Mac pro 2009 and Macbook pro 2011.
    Thanks
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas
Try exporting by enabling "Render at maximum depth" and " Use maximum render quality" in the export dialogue window.

  • Loud electronic screeching noise when ejecting CD

I was copying CDs to iTunes using the "Import Songs and Eject" feature (iTunes > Preferences > Advanced > Importing, set "On CD insert" to "Import Songs and Eject"). When ejecting the drive occasionally makes a loud electronic screeching noise. Is there something wrong with my drive or is this normal?
    Thanks in advance,

Are you sure it is electronic? I looked at my MBP and it seems like the flaps they have covering the drive are just a little too long and rigid and make a screeching sound when ejecting a disc.
I would pop in a disk, without using iTunes, and then eject it and listen to if the noise is coming from the flap on the drive or somewhere else.

  • Screeching noise?

I installed a firmware update on my mbp and when it was shutting down it made a screeching noise. It said it would restart on its own and it did but it took a couple minutes. Everything works fine. What's up with that screeching noise?

    Hey @Mommymonster2 ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you're experiencing a loud screeching noise on your new notebook.
Can you please tell me which notebook you have and the installed operating system? For information on finding your product and model numbers click here: How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number? To see which version of Windows you are using click here: Which Windows operating system am I running?
Can you tell me if the screeching is coming from the speakers (only happens when playing audio) or from inside the notebook? It's possible the screeching and skipping is the result of a read error or spike in the hard drive disc usage. From what I've read this sound to be the most likely source of the issue assuming the sound is not coming from the speakers.
Let me know the source of the sound and I should be able to help you fix this.
Please click the "Kudos, Thumbs Up" at the bottom of this post if you want to say "Thanks" for helping!
Please click "Accept as Solution" if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

  • Screeching noise coming from headphones!!!

Ok, so there's a horrible screeching noise coming from my headphones! When the volume is low, no sound comes out at all. But when I turn it up, it's this high pitched screeching with faint music in the back ground. I've tried changing the EQ, changing the maximum volume level in settings, and turning off then back on. I also just updated the software today. Help!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks:)

Does this happen when using another set of headphones?  Have you tried a hard reset?
    How to reset iPod
If nothing else, do a full restore in iTunes. This process wipes all content from the device, resets all settings back to their defaults, and loads a fresh copy of the iPod's software onto the device. So if the issue is software related, a restore should clear it up.

  • Help: Screeching noise during games, VoIP (X-Fi Pla

I'm currently having annoying screeching noises emit from whatever speaker/headset I plug into my X-Fi Platinum, during games, using VoIP such as Ventrilo, and consistently when I alt-tab back to desktop. I have reinstalled and reseated the X-FI card twice to no avail. BIOS has also been flashed to most recent edition. I only have one choice as far as PCI slot on?my Asus A8N-32 SLI because in other slots, the X-Fi defaults to a shared IRQ with my 2 7900 GTs. This noise generally lasts for 5-0 second at a time, and is absolutely unbearable. What is the solution to this problem?

A response would be appreciated CL.
