Screeching noise when turn off and message comes

Does anyone's iPad make a screeching noise when turning off

No. And what does "message comes" mean?

should iphone 4 receive messages when turned off and display them when switched back on

It's up to the cellular carrier, but I believe most (if not all) will enqueue the messages when your iPhone is off.
So generally speaking, a few minutes after you turn your iPhone on, your messages should display.  Similarly, your voicemails would arrive.

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer

  • Two iMac's 24 inch make soft rattling-kind-of noise when turned OFF !?

Apple-helpdesk Holland has no records of this "complain":
Me and my colleague have bought a new iMac 24 inch two months ago.
When our Mac's are turned OFF they keep making a very soft continuously rattling-kind-of noise, even after a couple of hours being turned OFF.
The sound is NOT annoying, we just want to know if its normal and our Mac's won't quit working in a few months because of a defect related to this noise.
At the Appledealer there's too much noise in the shop to notice this sound.
My Mac (CTO 2GB) was shipped in from the East and my colleague bought hers three weeks later directly in the Apple-store.
Needless to say; we live in different houses. Neither of us have connected devices to our Mac's.(only the internetkabel is connected)
When we pull the plug out of the socket, the sound dissapears.
I think that it would be too much of a coincidence that we both have the exact same defect in our Mac, so probably there are other iMac 24 inch owners with good hearing who can confirm this very soft continuously rattling-kind-of noise when de Mac is turned OFF.
You really have to put your ear close to the top-ventilationsplit on the backside to hear this sound.
Please let me know if you hear this very soft continuously rattling-kind-of noise aswell !
    Thanks a lot!

  • 2600 classic not keep settings when turned off and...

I bought my 12 yr old daughter a Nokia 2600 classic as her first phone, and it won't keep her display or theme settings. When she turns phone off and back on the settings are back to originial (default)?
Is this becaiuse we are not unsing it right.
Do I take it back under warranty?

have you tried to create a profile then activate it this was a common fault with the nokia 6500 due to loose back cover and storing items on memo  card but thisphone does not take a memo card
try taking out the battery for 5 mins then a factory reset, the code is 12345 then create and activate a profile.

  • My ibook loses battery power when turned off and unplugged

I have been puzzled by this since November 2006. I calibrated my battery twice as prescribed and still, as soon as i shut down my ibook and unplug it, it's battery charge goes down. Why is this? I'd greatly appreciate help. I'm a former pc user and none of my pc laptops have this problem. I just want to know why my battery loss power when unplugged and turned off. thanks in advance

Well you might want to try what they call "battery reconditioning" which is 7 simple steps listed below:
    1: Charge your iPod fully.
2: Use it till you cant trun it on anymore!
3: Then carge your iPod fully again.
4: Then Use it till you cant trun it on anymore!
5: One more time charge your iPod fully.
6: And then again Use it till you cant trun it on anymore!
7: Then one last time charge it fully again.
Reminder: it is best to let the battery die all of the way each time inbetween chages. for example if it has 60% battery life dont charge it use it till it is dead and then charge it up all the way!
*This should inturn maximise your battey life also!*

  • IPod nano g6 keeps flashing on when turned off and it lo

Whenever I wear it (It's a watch i ordered the iwatch strap) and turn it off (I'm not playing music), it flashes on after 30 secs and it keeps doing it over and over. Then when i checked it after 2 hrs (or was it 1?), and it was completely shut off. Please help? (it won't flash on when i put earphones on and music plays, but i just want to wear it around (without playing songs) casually without it running out of battery quick.

This only happens "Whenever I wear it"?  So, if it's sitting on the table, it does not happen?
If movement is causing the problem, maybe it's the Shake to Shuffle feature misbehaving.  Try turning it OFF in Settings - Music to see if it makes a difference.
Do you have any headphones with remote control buttons on the cord connected when this happens?  If so, if you connect a different set of headphones (any type), does it still happen?

Even with the --crtc option and  0..5 as parameters (as shown with xrandr -q --verbose | grep CRTCs) this doesn't work.
So how do I turn the screen back on, preferrably automatically? In Windows this just works™.

  • Iphone 4 just turned off and wont come back on

Was on the phone in my car on the handsfree, then all of a sudden got disconnected. looked at my iphone 4 and it switched off. got home and tried charging it up and nothing happened, then tried plugging it into my pc to do a restore or see if i get any life and nothing !
got no phone now and because you have to have a micro sim you have to de activate your regular size sim. so now got no sim to put into a normal phone.
please help someone ! aaaaahhhh !!

    Hey guys,
I was with my friend who had the same problem with his iPhone 4 today and as I was researching the problem I tried all the tricks and nothing seemed to work.
Until I came across some info that suggested the problem was with a proximity sensor.
Basically his phone was on(when someone called it would ring on their end instead of going straight to voicemail), but not respond tto touch or anything.
So I held the power button and slid my finger across the screen as if to "switch" it off even though the screen was blank and waited before holding the button again to turn it back on.
Once I did this it booted back up as if nothing happened.
Hope this is the same problem, good luck.

  • What do i need to do because my iphone updated but turned off and want come back on

    I really need help

Try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone should reboot. This could take up to 30 seconds of holding the buttons together. If you are not sure how well the device is charged, before you attempt the reset, plug the device in for about 20 minutes and keep it connected to the charger when you attempt the reset.

Does anyone know what to do or the cause of this? Please help.

  • HT1688 Has anyone experienced the 3GS phone exploding when turned off?

Has anyone experienced the 3GS phone exploding when turned off and not in use after a period of time? Is so, what did you do to get it replaced?

I haven't, but thanks for asking.
Bring your phone to Apple for replacement.  If you're in the warranty period, the replacement will be free; if not you will pay $149.

  • How do i fix my ipod touch 4th gen when the apple logo appears and then a whit screen comes up and turns off and it wont charge and it wont connect to itunes

My ipod touch 4th gen is a having a few problems with charging and turning on, my ipod comes up with the  extremely low on power symbol and then i put it into my computer and it comes up with the charging symbol then it goes to the apple logo and then onto a blank white screen and then turns off and repeats that process i have tried various things including resetting my ipod trying to connect it to itunes but it doesnt come up with anything so i cant reset it on itunes and have tried various charging devices.

Tried it but it won't do anything all it does is make the screen do a very small flash of white and then continues doing the same thing appearing with apple logo then the white screen and off and keeps repeating that
I'm guessing the white small flash means it's been reset when I hold the 2 buttons down,
    Thanks for suggesting.
