Screen Broken-Need Device Password??

My screen was stepped on and now it is all white with a few black patches. It still rings, etc..
I took it to US Cellular to have it replaced..they tried to transfer my numbers. The rep told me that I needed a device password. I tried everything I could think of..the password to unlock my phone, 0000, 1234, email, etc.
I need some help- pleeeeeeeease!!!

Yep, one and the same.
If you are entering the password for the first time on a PC keyboard, and if you have any UPPER case or numberals (123) in the password, it could be that the password is actually different than you think.
For instance, if your device password is "1234", and you only hold the ALT key down for the first digit, the actual password might be "1ers". Think about your own password.
I see this problem several times a week from users who enter the PW from their BlackBerry only to realize the PW is something slightly different because they haven't been press the ALT key for each numeral.

what is the current set of your USB connection?
is it:
1 Ask on connection
2 Media player
3 PC suite
4 Mass storage
5 PicBirdge
if your is set to say: As on connection.
Once you connect, you want PC Suite then just joystick down twice and press ok or enter.
if you want 4 Mass storage, you have to scrolll down three times and press ok twice. Once extra after the beep.

E56 screen broken - need help getting number off p...

I hope someone can help me. The screen on my E65 has broken and I need to get the number off the phone before sending it to be repaired. Without a screen I am flying blind so have no idea what keys I need to be pressing.
I have tried connecting the phone to my PC with PC Suite but the PC software doesn't recognise the the phone has been connected. Is there something I need to do on the phone to complete the connection?
The other way to get the number would be to copy them from the phone memory to the SIM. Can anyone tell me the key presses I need to do to achieve that?

When you connect your phone to your pc with the usb cable, a list if connection mode options normally appears on your phone display. You need to select "Pc Suite". What you could do is plug in phone to usb, select. If that doesn;t work, disconnect, reconnect scroll down one and select again. Keep trying until it finally connects to PCSuite. There are only 4-5 options so you won;t have to try that many times.

Touch screen broken need to backup

my iPhone 5 was dropped and suddenly the touch screen stopped working and the phone seems to work perfectly however can't press anything to answer the calls etc.

If your phone is locked because you entered passcode wrong too many times then you need to restore as new and data will be lost

Forgotten RESTRICTIONS Passcode

Make sure you have the Current Version of iTunes Installed on your computer

You may need to try this More than Once... Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
Take your time... Pay particular attention to Steps 3 and 4.
After you have Recovered your Device...
Re-Sync your Content or Restore from the most recent Backup...

Note. Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery...

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Hello Slimshaney74,
if you have a Mac or a PC with iTunes installed you may be able to do this. If your screen is broken but your iPhone still reacts to touch you have to just turn it off, and if your iPhone doesn't respond to touch, you have to hold both home and power buttons for about 7 seconds (it might not work from the first try) so that it shuts down. Afterwards get your lightning to USB cable connected to the computer but not to the phone. You hold your phone's home button and while holding it, you connect it to the cable, iTunes should say something like "iTunes detected iPhone in recovery mode"and a window with a restore button should pop up. You click on the restore button and iTunes will walk you through the process afterwards. If the iPhone has Find my iPhone feature activated you will have to enter your Apple ID password at the activation process after the iPhone is restored.
