Screen colors are  too bright

Every time I restart my computer the colors of the screen become extreamly bright. I can't control them in the display settings. The only way to fix it is to unplug the screen from the computer and back in or by plugging or unplugging the tv.
Can anyone help me fix this problem.

The reality is that we start with grade-certified monitors and use broadcast standards. COLOR is designed from the ground up to comply with CCIR Recommendations for SD and HD through an SDI-Video I/O card such as Kona3 by AJA or Blackmagic Extreme. Grade monitors vary in price and capability, but are invariably only natively accurate with SDI inputs, although there are some clever devices on the market that allow some flexibility with internal intervention. I own and operate an eCinema DCM-23 --original cost was around $14000.
There are some Flanders models that are now down around $5-6K. Not necessarily for hobbyists.
The alternative is to force a non-qualified monitor of some type into a "close-enough" mode with extensive calibration and specific tools. There are examples of people getting reasonable results with DVI and an eye-One calibration tool. However, it requires vigilance, as this grade of monitors usually don't hold their settings for very long, and can display variable behavior with different types of media, picture levels, and operation time.
It is not a simple problem and no magic solutions without a price tag.

  • Colors are too bright when Indesign CS 5.5 exports .swf

I created a document in Illustrator and transferred the layers over to InDesign CS 5.5 to make an interactive .swf. The colors stayed the same until I exported the .swf from Indesign and the golden yellows became obnoxiously bright. What's even stranger is that I tried to do a screen shot of both to compare, but the color returns to normal in Photoshop and it looks like there's nothing wrong. It seems that only the preview is having issues with the color. Am I missing anything relating to color calibration?

that's were the fun stops on a MacOs-based system ..
FC/e supports only a few 'standards': DV (as from miniDV cams), HDV (from miniDV devices), AVCHD (from most devices) and with a little trick, described on my website AVCHD-light (720p, as from many compact-stills) ..
    done.
some Flips are supported by iMovie, which you can abuse as a converter tool.
but 'non video standard' (=read 'video' as 'in TV') formats, resolutions and codecs ...
    a) manual conversion = less convenient
    b) loss of 'quality', e.g. when you blow-up tiny 480x320/15fps into video..
FC/e is FC/pros lil' brother.. meant for a more.. adult workflow..
if you like to wrestle with multi-formats, stay with Windows/Magix/..
Windows=options, with a chance of getting lost
MacOs=convenience, with a chance of getting restricted

  • My screen is much too bright.

Putting the slider to min. light, the display is still too bright
Is there a fix for that ?
One of my friends have one too, but his light settings is ok.
I have reinstalled the OSX from scratch, but it did not solve the problem.
Can it be that my G5 is a never release with a different display ?
Please help before my eyes burns out.

Yes, the new imacs (isight and intel--not sure which you've got) are too bright. You can help this a tad by going to system prefs>color>calibrate and setting your gamma up to 2.2, but not much. You can also download various utilities, like Gamma Control, to help a bit more, but the best solution is to use a hardware calibrator like the Huey, Spyder, EyeOne, etc.
EDIT Should mention I'm not sure that the software for these devices is intel-compatible, so if that's what you've got you should check with the manufacturer before buying a device.

    Hi,
    Check this
    new-page print off.
    CALL FUNCTION 'GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS'
    EXPORTING
    destination = v_dest
    IMPORTING
    out_parameters = params
    valid = valid.

NEW-PAGE PRINT ON PARAMETERS params NO DIALOG.
After the call fm GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS params internal table contains all the values for generating spool.

  • HP LaserJet 100 colorMFP M175nw scanned images are too bright

    Hello!
Is there a way to change scanner's default image color correction as currently all of resulted scanned images (text documents, graphics, photos) are unnaturally too bright?
I had another HP Ink Jet printer also with scanner and all scanned images have good color correction there.
So I think there is a problem with my current one.
Does anyone knows how to fix it?
    Thanks.

    Hello, Futoji!
    Sorry for big delay.
I did what you've told me and now I am wondering about what I see.
    1) To scan documents I use both HP Scan and Apple Image Capture with default settings (no color correction).
Well it does not matter, though, because I see bright pictures right after scanning them.
    2) I scan documents from flatbed (not feeder), well it is the same for feeder.
    3) So, what I noticed was that printer scanned document and printed it almost exactly as it was only using hardware buttons on it.
But when I did scan using both programs above the same document, it was getting too bright to be real... When I printed such scanned image the result was accordingly bad.
So, what I think is that this scanner works differently for hardware buttons and software or applies some filters on the resulted image...
I found 2 similar posts to mine, they are describing the same problem for different printers, but unfortunately they didn't seem to be solved.

  • LR Flash Web Gallery Colors are too "rich"

    Hello everybody,
I am not even sure anymore that this is a LR only question, I apologize, but I encounter my problem while using LR.
If I create a Flash LR Web Gallery, the colors of the pictures are way off when viewed in the browser. They are too warm and very saturated.
First I suspected my browser, but it color managed (Firefox). If I go and open a single image directly in ~/bin/images/large with the same browser, I get what I expect (and what I see in LR).
But if I run the flash presentation, I get the overdone colors.
Can anyone help with a hint?
    Thanxx, Peter

No, because LR's Web module is currently based on ActionScript 2, so no 3rd party Flash web engines are colour managed.
If you have some skills with Flash, SlideShowPro for Flash is one option. Coupled with their Director content management system, which comes with a LR export plug-in, you can have a smooth workflow and colour managed Flash output. Of course, remember that your visitors must also have Flash Player version 10, and most still don't.

  • My screen colors are messed. Pink lines. I have tried turning it off and resetting. Any ideas?

My iPad screen has pink lines. The colors are messed up. I have tried resetting and turning it off. Any ideas?

    Did you drop the iPad?
    Did you do this Reset?
Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • Photoshop CS2:  Saved Images Are Too Bright

Hi, I currently have a Photoshop CS2 problem that I need fixed.
When I go to save my files as a .PNG, .JPG, or any other file type (minus PSD), the images come out way too bright. But just by looking at the shortcut to the image, it looks exactly the same as it does in Photoshop. I'm currently having it at RGB Mode and 8 bit/channel settings. I've tried to mess around with the Color Management settings but with no luck. Can anyone help me out with this one?

bright where? outside of photoshop, like in a browser? you probably need to recalibrate your monitor, for a start.
bumping this for you in the meantime.

  • Randomized Colors are Too Dark. Questions on Color Boxes

    Hey all,
I am attempting to change the color of the plots on a mixed signal
graph remotely using the "color box" control which works fine; however, I
am also setting the color boxes to a random color when the program
first starts up which is where my problem lies.
What I currently am doing is that I have a random number generator
pumping out a number after which I multiply the number by 10000000, just
to give me some colors brighter than black, and then I have that wired up to
the color box control I am setting the random color on. The problem with
this is that although it does produce some decent colors some of the
colors produced are quite dark and pretty hard to see on the mixed
    signal graph.
I could make the graph background a different color if I have to in
order to see a majority of the colors that come out, but I would much
rather just have the colors come out more on the bright and colorful
    side.
So I have two questions for you guys and gals:
    1) How do the colors of the colorbox get determined using the unsigned 32 int?
One such example of why I am confused is that the number that I have
going in is 5726420 from the random number generator (+ being
multiplied), but on the colorbox control the RGB value is R:87 G:96
    B:212. Why is that?
    2) Is there any kind of algorithm out there that someone has done
that can produce values randomly that will give kind of neony colors? or
    anything semi-bright for that matter?
Any help is very much appreciated!

Use "RGB to color" from three random U8 (o..255) values to generate a color. (double click it to open the VI to understand the structure of the color data type )
