Screen dead area
First off, I have had my phone for just about a month know and today I am experiencing the screen failure right across the google entry when you are typing in a web address.
As I was reading about this I stumbled across the rental fee for a phone while mine is being fixed. I find this to be extremely disappointing. Why should I be further penalized for Apple defective product or lack of proper testing/development. It looks like some people have had to pay the 29$ fee and others have not.
Anyone with experience with this issue that can provide info with the best way to get it fixed would be greatly appreciated.
I have had Macs and apple products for 15 years now. I would hate to see the reputatopn of the company start to go south over this issue. It appears that they have been quite good at removing posts about the screen issues.
If you tried resetting and restoring and you still have the problem, then you have no other choice other than to get your phone fixed/replaced.
If you bring your phone into an Apple store, you might convince the manager to waive the rental fee. Some have had success, others not.
If you have an unlocked phone, you can put your iPhone SIM in there and use that phone until your iPhone is repaired/replaced and not have to worry about any fees.

Iphone touch screen dead area...
I bought an iphone a while ago and after some use it seems like an entire line on my phone will not work. On the main screen, if you have 4 rows of icons, between the 2nd and 3rd line that entire line is dead. I cannot use the quick ipod controls to skip songs or even pause. With OS X 10.5.7, there seems to be a dead area in the very top of the menu bar that, when clicked, deactivates the current window within an app, resulting in all of the menu items going dim.
Anyone else see this problem and/or any fixes reported?

- seemed like a reboot helped, but after closing the laptop and reopening, the problem reappeared.
- more detail on symptom: I think upon further reflection, clicking in the top pixel row on screen stays in the application (or Finder), but deselects the current window. If the app has a Window menu, I'm able to select a window from that dropdown.
- on the latest reboot, the problem reappeared
V.K. : Tried the terminal command you recommended after latest reboot -- didn't help.

Is my iPad 2 screen dead, or is it worse than that?
My iPad 2 has suddenly stopped responding. I had put it to sleep by closing the cover, and when I opened it, the screen was black. There have been no drops or other obvious mistreatment.
So I held down the power button, ostensibly to shut it down. No response. Held down the button again, ostensibly to start it up: no response. Tried that many times with same result. Charged the iPad overnight. Still no response (and no little chime sound that usually happens when I plug in to AC power).
iTunes can see the iPad, so maybe the screen is dead. But with the absence of all responses of any kind, I'm wondering whether it's worse than that.
I'm running iOS 7.0.4, so I suppose I could update to 7.0.6 and see if that helps, but since updates can be dodgy, I thought I'd save that as a last resort. (And yes, my AppleCare coverage is history.)

There are alot of problems that could have caused you to have to do this. And no you do not loose everything is you have made regular backups.
Here are some reasons
1) itunes makes a new update for your device, there system is so overloaded with people downloading it that some people who downloaded it our missing packets of information this causes an incorect installation and leads to many pieces of hardware malfunctioning
2)usb conection will sometimes turn on and off during some updates, the program itunes dosent seem to check to make sure all the information went through to complete the installation
when either 1 or 2 occurs it is typically in my expereice that a traditional plug it into itunes and do a recovery will not work, you need to bypass several glitchs the IOS update has caused, which may appear to be hard ware glichs IE battery, screen or even after every attempt the update will just stop.
Their are several key components that make up electronic devices
Ram and catch, they require power or electricty to store data, you either need to drain or remove the battery (sometimes residual charge is left in electronic devices... or you may be able to by pass it or in some situations cause the device to ignore the miss writen data.
The battery may say bad on a basic diagnostic test that apple does, but in fact its perfectly fine.
another piece is the storage media, flash and rotaional drives do not need power to store information only to read/write. Individual sectors will go bad over time, and sometimes falsh data that wasn't caught before this point will be written here.
some batters actually have memory,, HDD and storage media and cpu's all have catch which may need to be wiped clean to make a device functioning the method for doing this is differnt for every piece of hardware and sometimes you do not need to take it apart to do it.
There is also ram, which again needs power to store data and will also make bad sectors over time..
if there your device is fully functioning but seems to be a bit slower/ not as good than when you first recieved it, you may need to consider a complete reset. You might notice when your done that the ram size is different that the storage drive has decreased, those are some of the bad sectors that the computer with its long use produced.
In most cases where there is some type of glich that cannot be solved simply by plugin it into Itunes, you might just need to do this. There are several methods posted, and i have tried them all, and most of the time when i needed them they do not work... I had to think, about this..
I needed to do a full recovery, itunes will crash half way through/ will not do the recovery, i need to provide power while placing the device in DFU mode(what i call a hard rest because its like hitting the master reset), because there is a problem/ glich when i try it pluged into a computer I need to use land power, than i need to conect it to itunes..
IT always works, the other methods do not account for the multitude of malfunctions an operating system can cause. This helps to ignore any catch problems, when you conect to itunes it will finish it without a hitch. than you can place all your apps, photos songs ect back in there.
I have had to do this for my own IOS device as well as several others. I typically do this even for random people or i tell them how to do this. Most of them come to me after being poorly disapointed with what the apple tech said.. for me its like if i took my car in for inspection and they said we had to replace the head piston, headmanifold ect, when whats wrong is just a loose wire...
This method should be done prior to doing any expensive fix's as some of the problems you have "fixed" where never really there..
when i was 8 my farther gave me a SCSi hdd that the technitions at his work couldnt fix/ get to work.. He though i would take it apart and see how it worked.. I read the manual, and power scematic, and i came up with my own fix.. plug a jumper into the - and the + jumper to clear the catch while power was going through.. it worked I had a working scsi.. that thing was bigger than an airport extreme curently on the market. I have always had the ability to trouble shoot sense i was alittle boy... I have fixed garmiin GPS as well i wish they still had the physical power switch and not the analog (it was so much easer to reboot them... I was an aircraft maintainer, i have fixed several other computer problems network issuse, hard ware and so on.. Although i have never taken classes in any of it i have learned on my own, and i understand how the device work rather than being told steps to fix it I can find solution where others cannot because i know how they work.. I think that is better than any colledge grad with no reall world experience in true problem solving. -
I installed Yosemite and now my computer is slow when logging in. Also when I type my password, a bar appears measuring the process and then all of a sudden the screen images are distorted. After that my home screen appears and everything seems normal. What can I do to fix this?

Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

In Tcode BP, I am selecting a Role with the Business Partner number. COMPANY CODE Push button on the Top is Enabled and Click on that.
Enter the Company Code and provide the Account management tab by providing Reconciliation Acct 120113, Sort key as 035, Planning Group as E1. Go to Payment Transaction Tab, Enter the Payment terms as Z003, check Record payment history. Now, Click on SAVE Button on the TOP.
The issue is that, The screen values are not retained in the Payment terms tab and Customer is not Created after saving of a BP Number which is related to a Customer.

I'm on a windows laptop using iTunes sharing through the family to connect with Apple TV.
After choosing the folder of photos to be shared and displayed on the appletv and when I choose to show on screen, they are not shown in the order they are in the original folder.
How to pair show in a certain order, for example, sorted by name.

Julio CesarNot that I'm aware of. You just export JPEG copies to a folder that you can point iTunes to. For instance, I have created a folder in my Pictures folder called Apple TV. And within that folder I have other folders of pictures that I can choose from in iTunes to share with Apple TV. But there doesn't seem to be any way to share a Lightroom slideshow. If you have laid to create a video file that would probably work. Apple TV is a little clunky in my opinion. Some things are a little more difficult to do now than they were a while back. I probably haven't provided you with much help, but just keep experimenting and I think you will figure it out.

ST06 Screen values are not showing as expected like avg CPU idle time and min Swap space, page out and page in values etc.
All fileds are showing "Zero Values" since last week and i just found tht today.
I Went to
SM 36, All Configured standard jobs are SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR, SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_NONE_R3_STAT.. etc are running fine.
Restarted the SAPOSCOL service also.Please suggest me.Please find the Enclosed values..

VinodTry stopping the SAPOSCOL NT service. Then, copy this folder (making a backup):
installdrive\usr\sap\prfclog to installdrive\usr\sap\prfclog_old
Then, clear out everything inside of installdrive\usr\sap\prfclog
Also, doens't hurt at this time to check the credential of the user running your SAPOSCOL, typically it should be the same as the user running your SAP instance.
Start SAPOSCOL and wait for the OS collector job to run. Give it 24 hours, come back and check. -

Move your iTunes library to an external drive. -
This is really getting old, no help from Verizon. Service was great 2 years ago now it sucks, Constantly dropping calls, dead areas where there used to be fine. What is verison doing to help this???

Selection screen fields are not clearing..!

I have created one report which is having a selection screen with four select-options.
Now after executing the report, when i click on "back" icon the selection screen entries are not clearing even i refresh the select-options also.
