Screen Decides Not To Show Anything
Hello,
Last night I plugged my MBP in to charge, it was on hooked up to my iphone, I closed the lid and went to bed. In the morning I awoke and the screen won't turn on. It's showing nothing... this is bad news isn't it. Yes. Yes it is.
So I've tried hard rebooting, plugging it into a moniter, turning the brightness up and down, but am getting nothing. The computer seems to be running fine, caps lock comes on and off, the sound makes noise, but it's not letting me see anything.
Anyone know why or what I can do? I suspect it's a visit to the store?
My MBP was less than 24 hours old when I had a similar problem. The screen was completely black; I knew it was running. To make a long story short, I tracked the problem down to a hardware problem - but only when the 9600M GT video card was selected. Picking the computer up and lightly pressing on the bottom would cause the screen to come on and off... That seemed to indicate a loose connection somewhere inside. When using the lower powered card, I had zero problems.
I took the computer bacn and returned it for another (yesterday) and so far no problems with this one.

My Firefox has spontaneously (apparently) decided not to show the task bar at the bottom of the screen (the margin is there, but it is blank), and some menu bars have been messed up. Perhaps the most annoying aspect of these changes is the fact that I have to use alt-tab to move from a Firefox session to another session.
I can find no way to fix these problems. Can you help? Am I going to have to uninstall and re-install Firefox in order to get back to the default settings? My iPad2 touch screen is not working properly. Anything I touch on the screen "Slide to unlock" etc unlock code, anything I touch, a box appears around it like it is highlighted.
Resetting doesn't help.You should find out what you have activated.

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

My spectre xt 132001 TU screen is not broken or anything but won't open.
My spectre xt 13-2001 TU won't open the screen. The laptop is new it's just barely 8 months old. The screen opens and remains white. I don't know what could be the cause because its not broken or showing any sign of crack or anything. it shows two big thick lines that in the beginning they show as faded lines then get intense color after some time. I have checked in the forum and seems like people have problem with this laptop. Somebody tell me if the warranty covers the screen with the same problem as mine because i took the laptop where i bought it and the guy is saying the warranty doesnt cover the screen. Please advise.

I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP ENVY Spectre XT 13-2001tu Ultrabook and the Notebook not won't open to the start screen. Here is a link for help when your Notebook won't start correctly. I would start at the top and work my way down. Please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices, as these could cause some issues. Hold down the Home and Power button for 20 seconds. And try to update again.

It's happened to me before as well. Try holding both lock(top right) and home buttons simultaneously until u see a slight flash of wight then just reboot it normally. If that doesn't work try restoring your device from itunes

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Does anybody know why my ipod touch 3rd generations screen does not show anything? The screen is all black constantly. When I try to synchronise my ipod with my iTunes library it comes up with a message saying " iTunes could not back up the ipod because a session could not be started with the ipod. Please help and reply if you know an answer!!!

I have a MacBook Pro15 2011 2.2 i7. The computer turns on and makes the chime and you can hear it and the fan runs but the problem is that it doesn't show anything on the screen and the apple logo doesn't turn on Also none of the ports works
Try these 3 things

Try a pram reset:
Power off, power on, hold the following keys, option,comand,P,R (no commas) hold thes keys till you hear the start chime 2 times, the release. Reboot and see if you have anything
The other thing you can try is a safe (be patient as this will take a little longer boot). power off, power on holding the shift key continue to hold the shift ket till you see the progess bar, then you can release the key, let it finish booting, and try doing some things on the machine. This will disable the 3rd party software so only native sftware will run. f all is well there is a problem with a3rd party application causing the issue. Try rebooting mormal, snd see if things have gotten better.
If not take it to the Apple store and have it disgnosed, they do not charge for this, and will give a price of repair. Most of the time it is a flat rate, if there is no evidene of liquid damage they will repair what is broken for the same price. About 13rd the price of a replacement. If your machine is less than one fear old it should be covered by the warranty, if you have ApplECare you have 3 years from date purchase.

Tried to open an app and my iPad gen one froze. It only shows the apple on black screen and will show the operating wheel sometimes and while plugged in it will beep every few minutes. Will not load one show anything on screen but the small white apple.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iPad air is not showing anything on screen and its switched on.....?
I just reseted my iPad air and connected to my mac to restore backup and it rebooted but its not showing anything on screen after reboot and buttons are not working........ BUT i can see my iPad on iTunes on my mac.....????
FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -
My itouch camera will not work. SOmethimes the shutter wont even open. other times it opens but the camera doesnt show anything but a black screen. how do i fix this???
