Was searching on the internet for screen dimensions of Zen models - didn't realise how difficult it was to obtain that. So i'll start the ball rolling on what i've found so far:-

Are the lines like psychedelic herringbone? If yes, I had that happen once, it was something serious, like the
Logic board. The good news is that it was fixed without any loss of data on the hard drive. Take it in to have Apple look at it ASAP. I took it to TekServe at the time, they are very nice about preserving your data and user library when possible.

Creating Time dimension in BW data model. - like seen in logical data model

Hello all,
I have been struggling with this thing and I am looking for some help from anyone on this forum.
We are trying to create a logical data model of our bw system. We are going live next month with Student module for universities. We have multiple Infocubes and DSO and since there is so much crossing over in between them most of the reporting is done on infosets.
One of the thing we were thinking; is it possible to create something like a common time dimension table for every infoprovider. Basically when we are providing the reports to the end user can we give them a drop down menu which gives a time frame for reporting rather than selecting.
Example: Like can we create something which looks in the drop down like current month data, last months data, three months ago, four months ago, five months ago, one year ago, two years ago. Can we make like these data slices in our cube and deliver it to the end user?
We have in our cube a few date infoobjects, like receipt date, decision date, cancellation date and like wise.
Please let me know if any one has done any similar thing, it will be very helpful.

if you add your common time dimension to your data model, first identify for each infoprovider the time against which 'current month' and other frames should be applied and map them to your dimension.
just a question... are you not using time dimension in cubes ? ideally this should be your time dimension llinking all.
when you use time dimension which uses 'current month' , 'current year' , you will have to address their historisation as well. (because current month now will not be so current after 2 months).
so in data load procedure every day these values need to change (meaning drop and reload).
and routines to populate these values based on reporting date.

Single screen to extract all KPI's

Hi
I have 10 Reports to develop in webi with BI as backend. Is it possible to show a single screen which has all these 10 reports with radio buttion for each, so that if i check on one of the report and click OK button only that report should pop up.
Is it possible? if it is then can any one please explain me.

Why i am asking is until i get issue in the project i am learning but if i have some basic knowledge before in hand it make easy..:)
If not any material just suggest me what should i do to get minimum knowledge on all the functionalities(formulas, properties, merging, purging dimensions, alerters...formating reports.. etc)

Getting mobile screen dimensions

Hi all,
I'm developing a game which is to be played on two mobiles. I use the Canvas class to display the playing field. Both mobiles need to decide on the screen size that both mobiles can use, e.g. find the smallest size displayable in both mobiles.
I use getHeight() and getWidth() in the canvas objec MyCanvas:

I set my code back to the original situation, like:

[solved] screen dimensions & xorg config

I've been trying (finally) to improve the appearance of fonts in my system. In the process of following the wiki font configuration guide, I checked out the dpi/screen dimensions identified by xorg. According to my calculations, xorg is getting the physical dimensions of my laptop's display wrong. It correctly identifies the native resolution as 1366x768 and then uses a dpi of 96 to calculate physical dimensions:
$ xdpyinfo | grep -B2 reso
screen #0:
dimensions: 1366x768 pixels (361x203 millimeters)
resolution: 96x96 dots per inch
However, my laptop screen is 11.6" which I think is about 256.8x144.4 mm with a dpi of 136x135. Er... ish.
Trying to follow the wiki instructions for configuring xorg at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xo … ze_and_DPI, I created a /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-monitors.conf:

However, this produces pretty ugly results. Fonts look all wrong - at least in some applications - and things just generally seem too big. So I removed the config file and rebooted and everything looks OK again (actually a bit better than before - probably because I'd got through part of the font config guide). I have no non-default config files under /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ - just default files for evdev, quirks and synaptics.
So now I'm confused about what dimensions I should be using.
I would have thought that with the autogenerated settings above, I should find things not fitting onto the screen because X believes that the physical screen is larger than it really is. But that's not what happens. Everything fits fine. Plus I'm not sure how to check but the resolution looks comparable to the resolution I get in the ttys.
I'm using the intel i915 driver with various power-saving options (which don't affect display so far as I can tell). It's one of the integrated graphics chips. There's no separate graphics card to complicate (or improve!) things.
Could somebody explain what might be going on? Or give me a reference? I don't understand how the physical dimensions X uses can be incorrect and yet everything fit and look better than when I force it to use accurate ones.

High resolution in the TTY means that you have KMS activated, which is a good thing.
Of course anything bigger than 96x96 or 100x100 DPI is going to look awkward, it's an 11.6 inch screen! Or did you actually try to bring a ruler to the screen and measure a 136x136 pixel image? There's this little thing called dot (pixel) pitch: 0.39, 0.33, 0.28, 0.265 mm, etc.

Obviously Microsoft's sneaky little hack had very long-term consequences, when instead they should've just used a better rendering method. "However, larger graphical elements meant less screen space on which to draw" - which is what you experienced when everything looked like it was on steroids.

How to have a Total dimension element from tabular model?

I have a dimension in a tabular model named School. I created a parameter that has all the schools based on a DAX query dataset, however I would also like to include a Total element that sums all the schools. How can this be achieved? In SSAS OLAP I would
have an "ALL" elements, but I'm not sure how this translates into Tabular Mode.

Sure, I am creating reports in reporting services. I am creating datasets to retrieve each dimension members that exist in the fact table to create parameters that will filter the data dataset.
Now imagine, I select a Year and then I want to be able to select an element like "all schools" to check the aggregate number of subscriptions instead of only 1 of the schools.

Screen resolution in all the programs is really low.

I recently bought CS6 and the screen resolution in all the programs is extremely low. The tools and the content of the documents. I have checked the preferences and I don't see a problem or an option to increase the quality.
Can anyone help me?

If this is a retina Mac there is nothing you can do about it. CS6 is not optimized for retina.

I fixed the problem somewhat myself by removing the miniSD and manually inserting it. It did not populate automatically. I had to open iPhoto and then it populated only the most recent photos I had taken which fortunately were the only ones I need. No error messages this seems to be a new occurrence.
Is there a way to just turn iPhoto off and download my photos to the folder of my own choosing?

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

IMac 17" screen dimensions

Can anyone tell me what the actual screen dimensions (height and width) of a 17" iMac? Thanks. I use Sibelius and Logic Express and would like something that has enough height and am deciding between a Mini with a big monitor or a 17" iMac. I find the widescreen monitors to be a little short in regards to height. Any other advice would be appreciated.

Screen stays on all the time power savings set up

My imac's screen stays on all the time now once I upgraded snow leopard to 10.6.3 it has been doing this since I got the settings so that the screen turns off 3 minutes after inactivity but the screen never turns off now.
the only time the screen turns off is when front row is running.
Any ideas?

That is a bit quick to turn off the display from inactivity but that would be a personal choice. I let mine run for at least 10 minutes before the Screen Saver activates and then another ten minutes before turning off the display.
Try resetting the PRAM and the Systems Management Controller.
Reset the PRAM
• (Re)start the computer
• Immediately press & hold the CommandOption+PR keys
• Wait for two startup chimes
• Release the keys and allow the computer to boot.
Reset the SMC
• Shut down the computer.
• Detach the computer's power cord.
• Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
• Release the power button.
• Reattach the computers power cable.
• Turn on the computer.
