Screen display enlarged and fuzzy

I connected to a digital projector for a powerpoint presentation yesterday. The computer crashed and since then the dialogue boxes, top function bar, desktop icons, dashboard etc are all enlarged an fuzzy. Help. How do I correct this?

It could be one of two thing.
First go into system preferences and check Displays. See what your resolution is. It should be 1280X800.
Second is to go into system preferences and check under Universal access and be sure zoom is turned off. One thing to watch for when you go into UA is to be sure enhance contrast didn't change. Some people have reported it changing when they go into UA even though they didn't do anything. It should be set to normal.

  • Screen display enlarged and will not shrink

iPod touch display screen photo is enlarged and will not shrink down, can't enter code to unlock. Have tried resetting by holding top & bottom buttons.
    Any ideas?

First, try a Restore.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • Screen enlarged and fuzzy

I tried to add another monitor to my Macbook Pro and it changed my screen. It's now enlarged and fuzzy. I just want it the way it was, thanks for your help.

At a guess, the external monitor you hooked up is limited to a lower resolution then your Macbook screen. This lower resolution is then enlarged and stretched to fill your Macbook's LCD.
Open up System Preferences. Click on Displays and tell us what the resolution is set to.

  • IPad Screen problem green and fuzzy

I was happy with my Ipad going online and reading books for hours a day until recently when I turned it on! The screen is greenish and fuzzy like when you have a bad reception on a tv with an analog signal... please help! I have no access to a genius bar as I'm living in Dubai, I had mine shipped here from the online store.

Big thank you to you and BoboWoodyo. Anyone having a problem with their screen looking like an old analog tv who's rabbit ears needed to be adjusted (or worse) should try tapping the upper right edge with their hand a few times before doing anything else. Such an easy fix-who'd of thought?  Obviously not me and just as obviously, it is most likely a hardware glitch. I wish I had found this solution at the beginning of my day and not the end. I have a well loved, well used 1st gen Ipad.  I had tried all solutions found on this page plus others....hard reboot several times, reset thru itunes, different usb cord, etc. and nothing worked. I had an unreadable screen. My last resort was a clean factory reset found using clear, precise directions from ipadforums.net  I know this was successful because of the on-screen itune messages I was getting but at the end of it all, I still could not read my ipad screen.  I walked away and had a pity party  . I decided to do one more search for a possible solution and happened upon this page.  3 taps was all it took - a beautiful, clear, readable screen again.  No apps, no music, no photos, no books, no magazines but it works again so I'm just going to hold on to that happy thought for right now.

My iPhone screen is enlarged and I can't change it back.  I can't power the phone off or use it any way while it is like this.

  • HT4528 my iphone 4 screen is enlarged and i cant unlcok it

i put my phone on the charger and i went back to check on it and the whole screen was enlarged and i could unlock my phone plz help

That was the first thing I tried and all that happened was it took a picture of the screen (I saw that in my photos folder when the phone finally came back to life).
I tried again with syncing it in itunes and it took a while but eventually it kinda reset itself and I did have to redo the set up again but it's working fine now.
And surprisinly none of my data/pictures was lost which was odd as I heard that doing the restore would delete it all.
Thankfully it's sorted out now. Was really worried for a second that something was seriously wrong. I've only had this phone for 3 months so it would have been awful having to pay for a replacement.

Did you try double tapping with three fingers? Your screen should go back to normal after that.
If this does not work, connect in recovery mode to restore:

iPod displays a sad iPod icon
    Resolution
In most cases, the sad iPod icon indicates a hardware issue. If you are able to force iPod into Disk Mode, then it may not be a hardware issue, and you should try to restore your iPod with the latest software.

  • Screen is faulty and fuzzy.

Ive had my 4th gen nano for some time and in that time the screen has gone fuzzy a few times as in diagonal serrated lines across the screen making it difficult to see what Im doing. In the past simple manual resets would fix this, then I had to use in itunes restore and one time when that didnt work I accidently hit it on my bookcase and well... the screen cleared up!
Though this time it has happened again and no matter what I do I can not fix the screen.
When I do resets the apple logo comes up perfectly visable but the main menu is obscured so I dont know if this is a screen fault or not.

Many users, reporting the bleeding, have posted here, saying they took the unit back to an Apple store and had it replaced.  Isn't that the kind of thing you'd do if you had a hardware problem?  (If not the store, then contacting Apple directly for instructions on a repair.)  Of course getting a replacement at some locations was a problem due to the short supplies.  YMMV.
While many have had the bleeding problem, it seems most users have none.  So it's not universal.  My wife's new iPad, ordered within the first hour it was available from the web site, came without any problems.  For others there were problems.  I don't see a recall if most iPads don't bleed.

  • Ibook screen being inflated and fuzzy!! :s

    HELP!!!
i turned on my ibook and the screen is sort of "zoomed in" and all the writting and pictures and things are fuzzy!! help wats gowing on, i tried to restard it but it did nothing, wat can i doo

pressing command + option + "+" or "-" causes the screen to zoom in, which makes it seem at a lower resolution, maybe you pressed this shortcut by accident.

  • Managing the Help Screen display location and TOC frame width

Is there any way I can set how the Help is displayed when it first opens?  I want to force it that the TOC frame is a certain width so the text is displayed properly always in the same way.

I think you will find the answer here.

    Hi @segoopa ,
Thank you for your inquiry, I will do my best to assist you!
I understand that after installing the Pes 2014 game you now see pixels and lines in your display.
The game installation may have changed the resolution of the display for your game but did not revert it back when you closed it out.  Here is a link to Resolving Problems with Notebook Displays (Windows 7 and Windows 8) to assist you in overcoming this difficulty.
Please let me know the outcome.

  • MBP Screen displaying photos and text merging and distorting.

    Hi Folks
I purchased A Brand new MBP in August 08 (details below) and transferred my information from my old Powerbook G4 using Target disk mode and upgraded to 10.5.5 .However within a week it randomly began displaying the following problems:
1.Photos distorting and merging into each other whilst using MAIL application and when scrolling on Safari.Text piling up on itself
    Example : http://d.imagehost.org/0297/mergetextexample.png
    2.Safari losing it's side scrolling bar Example : http://d.imagehost.org/0262/SafariScrollprob.jpg
    3.Flickering when viewing flash videos.
4.Jerky scrolling when using the two finger method.
I had a Genius in Sydney look at problem and he diagnosed it as a corrupt file issue. He(I think) rebuilt the Plist in Library and that solved it on the day however, Two weeks after on My return to Ireland, same problem re-emerged and has not gone away. It occurs randomly every few days or so.
I contacted Apple in Ireland and they advised an "Archive and reinstall" which I have done taking my system to 10.5.2 and refraining from updating in case it was an update issue. Same problem has re occurred.
I am now thinking of Erase and reinstall... Does anyone have an idea of a solution?
    Sincere thanks in advance.
    Francis

An Erase and Install should fix the problem, but it is a pretty radical solution. Actually the Archive and Install should have fixed it.
There are a couple of things you might try first.
Try a Safe Boot and see if the problem is still there.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455?viewlocale=en_US
The Safe boot will disable all many functions and empty some temporary caches. Sometimes the temporary font cache will become corrupted, and a safe boot will empty it. If all is well with a Safe Boot, you can start looking at all the things that were disables and see if you can isolate the cause of your problem.
After making a good backup, download the combo update from the Apple download site and bring your OS up to date. Be sure to repair permissions before and after doing this.
It does sound like there is some sort of a consensus that the problem is software related. Was your PB running Tiger? I'm wondering if some piece of downloaded software you migrated is the OS X 10.4 version instead of the OS X 10.5 version? You might want to check on things like that. Be sure all your software is updated for Leopard.
    Good luck!

  • Screen displaying green and blue lines

Just started doing this out of the blue. Can't respond to my iPad or anything. What do I do?

Do a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears.  If that does not help take it to an Apple store genius bar for evaluation.
