Screen exit MEREQ001- for Transactions ME51N/Me52N/ME53N

Hi,
I have implemented the Enhancement MEREQ001 to add a new tab for Purchase Requistion screen.
Requirement for me is to show the same data in the newly added tab for all line items and also to save the same data in EBAN table.
I am facing a problem while saving the data. In EBAN table, the data was saved for all line items. But the custom added field values are saved for only the line item displayed.
I ll explain with an example for better understanding.
I have created a PR with 2 line items ITEM1 and ITEM2
When i saved the data when ITEM1 is displayed, EBAN have custom added field values for ITEM1 but not for ITEM2.
The same way, if I save data when ITEM2 is displayed, EBAN has custom added field values for ITEM2 but not for ITEM1.
Now, my requirement is to get the both line items ITEM1 & ITEM2 updated with custom added field values in EBAN.
Has anyone faced this kind of issue.

Hi all experts, got an - I hope - interesting question to ask you.
I have an user exit that is executed on every step done in creation/modify of a Purchase requisition. In this code (custom), executed from the transactions ME51(n)/ME52(n) and ME53(n) there's something like:
GET PARAMETER ID 'BAN' FIELD r_banfn. "Purchase Requisition number
GET PARAMETER ID 'BFC' FIELD r_frgab. "Release strategy
r_banfn should contain the number of the purchase requisition I'm working on. So far, so good.
The problem is that if in ANY transaction I press the New Document button, I can notice in debug that r_banfn contains the number of the purchase requisition that WAS active before pressing the "create new" button.
That's not good because that r_banfn value is then used to some checks, and should then be blank in case of creation of a new purchase requisitions.
I'm then asking you if there's a way in my user exit to distinguish between the two cases, which are:
-1- I'm modifying an existing purchase requisition (so, the field in r_banfn IS correct);
-2- I'm CREATING a new document (so, r_banfn value is NOT correct and should be set to blank).
This distinction must be coded into the previously cited user exit and should affect ME51(n), ME52(n) and ME53(n), from which the user can either create a new RdA or modify an existing one.
We tried to manage the situation as follow, but without success:
IF NOT r_banfn IS INITIAL.

The code is quite self-explaining but doesn't work because it seems that the "enqueue" phase goes ok even tho we're working on modification on the purchase requisition.
I'm guessing if there's a sort of "activity code" (create? modify? view?) I can catch @ runtime to solve this task.

Change the name of custom tab in me51n / me52n / me53n

Hi,
I have to add a few custom fields in PR item of transactions me51n / me52n / me53n. I have used the enhancement MEREQ001 for adding the custom fields. The sytem automatically creates a custom tab with the name Customer Tab for the additional fields that I have added using the enhancement MEREQ001 while displaying in me51n / me52n / me53n.
Now I have a requirement to change the name of the custom tab created for transactions me51n / me52n / me53n from Customer Data to Others.
Can anyone suggest me how to go about doing this???

I want to validate purchase requisition data for release startegy. If there is no value for release startegy .Then ME51N/ME52N/ME53N populate a custom message before saving.
I have found the Enhancement MEREQ001.Can anyone help me to find the exit because there are 10 user exit for this enhancment.

Hi,
Follow the following steps to find the EXIT
1. Open transaction SE24.
2. Now open the object CL_EXITHANDLER in display mode.
3. Go to the method tab and double click on the method GET_INSTANCE.
4. Put a break point on cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface.
5. Now execute the transaction you want to find EXIT for, it will take you to the above method.
6. Write EXIT_HANDLER in fieldnames and hit enter, it will tell you the EXIT used for your transaction.
7. Hit F8 and it will tell you all the EXITu2019s for your transaction.
Now put break points in each user exit and check which one gets triggered for your transaction.

I have one requirement, If you go to TCODE ME51n, ME52N, ME53N, we will get one ALV grid . So user will change the layout according to his intrests & will save that layout.
While saving that layout we will get 2 checkboxes

So here my requirement is to disable "default setting" check box, sice users are not allowed to set default setting because it affects other users.

Transactions ME51N & ME52N user exits - saving requisitions

Hi all.
I have a new requirement for disallowing transactions ME51N & ME52N from saving purchase requisition records that have more than one line items associated with each of them.
Basically upon the user clicking on the 'Save' icon I have to first check the purchasing group screen field (MEREQ3211GRID-EKGRP) of the captured purchase requisition at each event instance. If the purchasing group matches the one I check for (i.e. the configured one) and the purchase requisition also has more than one line item associated to it then I should skip the posting functionality for this specific purchase requisition and then issue an error dialog message to the user telling him/her that such a transaction is not alllowed.
Please help me to find the following:
1) The user exit/BADI to use in order to implement such a change.
2) The data objects or internal table/(s) that I may use in order to count the number of captured line items for each purchase requisition (e.g. via the 'DESCRIBE' command).

I have looked at the definition of this BADI via se18. The interface has a few parameters which also reference other types higher up in the hierachy.
Which method do you think would be ideal in order to do the following:
1) Get the item data count as captured by the user via the transaction ME51N?
2) Get the item data count as collected from the database (i.e. as previously captured) and changed by the user via transaction ME52N?
I have to then make changes exactly at these points.

Hi,
You can't use the BADI " ME_PROCESS_REQ_CUST.
The main purpose of this badi is use to validate the PR at different levels. If you see the methods of that BADI for eg :
1. Process_header : This for validating the header part.
2. Process_item : This for validating the line item details.
Like that there are so many methods are there inside this BADI.
You mentioned that you deactivated the Existing Project of PR and i want to know in which package you have mentioned.
If that existing project is not needed you can delete the old one and incoporate the new logic and the old logic in the new project.

how often had you restarted ME21N before you posted this message?
In best case this message appears only once, because the program / or dictionary was changed while you executed ME21N
If many times, then contact your ABAPer, because then he probably did not transport all objects that were changed, or the objects have to be regenerated in your system.

Availability Overview in ME51N, ME52N, ME53N

Hi,
When I go to the menu path Environment -> Availability in transactions ME51N, ME52N or ME53N, nothing happens. The expected behaviour is the display of availability overview as in transactions ME21N, ME22N, ME23N.
I found the same thing to happen in several SAP systems. What is the reason behind this strange behavior?

Screen exit - LM46 RF transaction

Hi,
This is related to the screen exit of RF transaction LM46.
We have created a screen exit for logical screen 0212 of SAPLLMOB for the RF transaction LM46 and added this screen in the screen management config.
The custom sub screen 1212 for the user exit was created in SAPLXLRF as a copy of screen 2212 of SAPLLMOB.
The issue we are facing is: the sub screen SAPLXLRF 1212 gets called but no data is being passed from SAPLLMOB screen to the SAPLXLRF sub screen as expected, so the screen appears without any values.

Hi
You can find Exits and BADI from SPRO. Just identify the area where you want to enhance and go to that area by SPRO , then you can see system enhancement that are available. This is the good way to find enhancement because you can find the documentation related to enhancement.
Like SPRO > Material Management > Purchasing > Develop enhancement for purchasing (Exits)
or see Business add ins for purchasing. Read the documentation.
Else you can search exits and badi by the package name like find the package of a transaction where you want to put enhancement. SE93 > Transaction name > Display > Package.
then go to SE80 and open the package then see function group start with X. this are exits that are available. you can find enhancement also.
Else to find BADI related to a transaction just put break point to class method cl_exithandler->get_instance in SE24.
and run the transaction , then you can find the BADI as exit name in this function call.
These are the way you can find enhancement , but the way which is describe 1st is the best way.
