Screen fades from black to grey then into white.

Ive had my iphone for 3 1/2 weeks Out of nowhere my iphone 4s got all weird. My screen fades from black to grey into white. ive tried to reboot it it doesnt work. i also pressed the middle button and the power button for like 10 seconds and nothin happens. it turns off sometimes when i press the two buttons.
Then it just turned on like it supposed to, a few hours later it happened again. it all happened yesterday. then today i got on itunes to restore the phone to see if it works better then then while it was syncrnizing eerything into the phone it happened once again. i really dont know what to do! has anyone had the same or a similar problem? would it work if i just restore it and just make it a "new" phone ?
sorry my grammer isnt the best lol

While in the B/W desktop go to the System/Accessability preference pane and check to see if this checkbox is selected:
If it isn't toggle it on and then off again and see if there's any change.

  • Lenovo G360 - Screen fades to black

The laptop screen will fade to black while in windows. The laptop is still on but the screen picture is gone. Its not the battery becuase its a new one. The only thing that brings the screen picture back is after I have put the laptop in the refrigerator for 10+mins. What does that mean? Will a cooling pad do the job or is in more internally. Pls Help with some options!

  • Can I create a fade from black with Media Encoder?

I am having a problem with Adobe DPS making  my videos jump up (shift up a bit) in the first few seconds of the video. As a workaround I want to create a fade-from-black effect to hide the first seconds of the video. Can I create a fade in Media Encoder?

Screen on ipod touch freezes and then goes white. Ihave restarted it and restored it but it didn't work. Anyone know what is wrong with it and how it can be fixed?

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

  • Scrolling makes screen fade to black

Hi all - ever since I upgraded to Leopard, I'm having a problem with Aperture where my whole library becomes black when I scroll through thumbnails. If I stop scrolling, eventually the pictures reappear. This makes it really hard to use Aperture since I can't really see what I'm doing. It happens fairly consistently, but isn't 100% reproducible. Any ideas?

Your screen can be set to fade to black after a specific amount of time to conserve battery life. You decide for how long you want it to stay on, anywhere from 10 seconds to 5 minutes. This will only affect the time between activity on your screen, so if you're swiping and pressing the screen quite a bit it won't go out until you stop accessing the screen then it'll start the countdown to the time you set.
To adjust it, swipe down while on your homescreen and select Settings>Display>Screen Timeout.
    I hope that helps you.

  • Macbook pro 13 screen fades to black?

Does any other owner of a mid 2010 MBP 13" (puchased 2/11) have this weird problem: when the laptop is warmed up, the screen randomly dims then fades to black then in a few seconds lights up again. In addition, while the screen fades, the lights look like, oddly, stage lighting. I have already had the whole screen replaced (the whole top), but it still persists. On my next call to Apple Support they told me this is reported by others and "they are working on it" and to look for a firmware update. All fine and dandy, but I have frustration in the meantime. I and my family have been owners of many mac products since 1990. They are all great products and now that I have a real issue, I am banking on great support.

There are two other discussions about a similar topic.  See if resetting the SMC helps...otherwise, the other recommendation is to take it in for service.

  • Video camera screen fades to black or very dark wh...

on the Lumia 920, when recording video which is quite long; 30 minutes, the camera fades to black, as if you are recording in a darkened room.
This has happened now and then? I'm planning to record a soccer game lasting 30 minutes, so obviously, I'm a bit worried. It will fade. Rebooting the phone seems to solve it. I did notice the phone was a bit hot.
The camera itself seems to go blank or near dark. Even taking a photo, the camera is dark. Like I said, rebooting fixes it.

hi mate, have you checked that you are up to date with the latest firmware version? i remember that on early versions of WP8, it cut-out at about half an hour because the file system did not recognise that writing files of 4GB was allowed. this was fixed though.
also ensure that you are up to date with the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store.

  • When using Hotmail my email text appears black, but when I look at them in my sent folder they are going from black to grey. Can this be resolved?

When using hotmail my email text appears blac, but when I get replies or look at the sent folder the emails are partly black text and then go grey, how do I stop this happening all the time please

Which email service provider are you using?  You can install DropBox and share links to the files that way.  When you snd to your self (cc or bcc) do the items show up?  What file types and sizes are these attachments?  Are you sending over WiFi or cellular connection?  Try using more than one email account from a different provider (Gmail, yahoo, iCloud, etc) and see if it is email provider specific.

  • Gnome: at random times, screen fades to black and stays black

I'm having a strange issue with my gnome based netbook (Aspire One).
Sometimes, the screen will fade to black without any user input. It looks like the screen is powering off and preparing to go to screensaver/blank screen mode, but I cannot unlock it.
Its just the screen, I can go to tty1 (blind), login, and the computer will respond to commands such as shutdown.
I tried turning off the screensaver in Gnome settings + turning off screen blanking in Gnome Power Management, no luck.
Checked all logs, didn't find anything suspicious. Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem, at random times the screen goes black, nothing else changes, I could keep with a conversation on skype. Also sometimes the screen flickers, by the way I'm also using Gnome. I have the impression that this started since the last Kernel update and looking at the logs I found the following:
    In the dmseg.log :
ACPI: I/O resource 0000:00:1f.3 [0x18e0-0x18ff] conflicts with ACPI region SMBI [0x18e0-0x18ef]
ACPI: If an ACPI driver is available for this device, you should use it instead of the native driver
I also noticed that if I close the lid of my netbook and open it again the screen appears again. I would like to find a solution to this problem but I'm not very experienced.
EDIT: I do use an intel card -- 945GME --, and the flickering seems to be from this bug on Intel Cards:

  • Fade from black and fade to black come out green in AME CS4

    Hi,
I have a short 3 minute clip in the photo JPEG format.  I applied the 480P Apple TV setting to it and hit render.  The quality was great except that instead of fading from black at the beginning of the clip and fading to black at the end of the clip, it fades from and to green.  In other words, green has replacedblack when fading.  This does not happen in Compressor, but the AME produces the same quality image at 1/3 the files size. What am I doing wrong?
    TIA!

I've definitely rendered and it makes a difference. Nevertheless the dissolve is still quite blurry.
    Any thoughts?
    Trey

  • Macbook takes about 15 minutes to open programs, or even react to command, also freezes and screen fades to black.

I power on my macbook as normal, it takes 10 minuets for any screen to pop up, its usually a blue screen at first then pops up the actual desktop. I can then move my cursor around and over the apps on my dock but they dont bounce, react, or even open. it takes about 15 minuets for the apps to actually react with my cursor and then i can open my apps as normal. once i use my mac for a period of about 1-2 hours it will freeze, then a transparent black/grey screen screens down the entire screen and then goes completly black, then i have to manually shut off my mac... whats going on, and how do i fix this? its only a little over a year old.

  • T42 screen fades to black at times.

    Hi,
My recently given T42 monitor would out of the blue turns black like there is no input. However, I can still hear the sound. The only way to get back the input/display is to press the button on the top left corner as if I closed and opened the monitor.
I have tried to identify the cause/trigger, but no particular pattern was identified.
There is also the red hue when ever the laptop is powering on or returning for a hibernation. This red hue only lasts for a few second. I wonder if this has anything to do with the black screen symptom?
    I appreciate any help!
    khanh

    Welcome to the forum!
The red hue that you've seen is a tell-tale sign of a dying backlight (CCFL),  nothing else gives out that symptom.
Time for a screen replacement unless you're extremely handy and have a hospital-grade dust-free room to swap the CCFL yourself.
    Good luck.
    Cheers,
    George

  • Airport Express,  airport icon from black to grey losing signal,

airport Express worked great for a year. It is connected via ethernet cable to an RCA modem and runs a MACPRO QUAD and MBPro. Recently im getting interruptions slow connections/ pages take forever to load. I have tested the MAC PRO to the moden directly and it seems to work great. Wit AExp there seems to be a problem.
I ran Airport utility and it is reporting an error. I wish this wasnt so complicated. is there any one who could tell me how to start from scratch with this AE and get it working again. Road Runner boosted the signal so it is not the problem. The green light stays on. and there are moments when the internet and mail works fast. BUt recently there is slowness and the 3 curved lines ( upper right ) are not always black and 3 strong. this has started to vary.
IS this common with the AE cos i will trash it and get a router to run the two comps i need connected to internet and mail. Any advie

it was unable to upgrade to 7.3.2
    and kept getting connection failed
    connection lost
Your problems could be due to interference on the channel you're using, although this may not be the entire cause. Nonetheless, since your setup worked fine before and you haven't changed anything, suggest you start by seeing whether a good signal can be restored.
Use [iStumbler|http://istumbler.net] to look for a channel that's at least 3 different from any your neighbors may be using, then set your AirPort Express (AX) to that channel and reconnect to it. If you don't get full bars in the AirPort icon, try another open channel.
