Screen flashes after changing wallpaper (Yoga 10 HD+)

Hi Guys
I recently bought the Yoga 10 HD+ (B8080-H) and it was working great until i tried customizing my wallpaper. If i use one of my photo's as a wallpaper, the screen flashes everytime I exit an app. If i use one of the wallpapers that were preloaded onto my tablet, no flashing happens. Can anybody help me with this?

Lenovo doesn't provide change logs for its Android tablet firmware, which is something needs to change.

IPad 2 worked w/HDMI adapter but screen FLASHED after ten minutes

I bought an HDMI adapter when I bought an iPad 2. We hooked it up and were playing Monopoly on the iPad and watching on a Panasonic plasma TV. After about ten minutes the TV screen started to flicker/flash.
Is anyone else having a similar problem or maybe a solution to this problem?

Same problem here. iPad 2 + Apple digital AV adapter + 25ft. (thick-gauge) generic HDMI cable + Hitachi 42" HD1080 PlasmaTV. Constant flickering during mirroring and eventually audio disappeared entirely. Identical, but sporadic problem occured when using same setup but iPod Touch 4th gen instead of iPad 2.
Contacted Apple support and they sent me a free replacement AV adapter.
Package arrived in less than 20 hours! Wow! That is FAST!
(actually they goofed and sent me a free iPad 2-specific charging dock instead, but I'm not complaining). One email and a day later, the AV adapter arrived.
Situation improved but only slightly. Now flickering on TV screen is occasional rather than constant. Audio briefly self-mutes randomly also. It seems to be more stable when used in conjunction with the dock. It's much too easy for the AV plug to partially slip out of the input port on the iPad when held on my lap, so standing it in the dock helps to prevent that particular problem. More testing and trouble-shooting is planned.

Settings screen unavailable after changing home screen

I've just tried to change my home screen using the settings menu and one of the preloaded images. It didn't change the home screen, and now when i go back to the settings screen all I can see is that image. It won't respond to the select or cancel buttons. Everything else is working fine, but I'm panicking without access to settings. Help!

Try closing the Settings app completely and see if it then works when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Settings 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Settings app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Screen flashing in Satellite L500D

I have a laptop Toshiba L500D. Since about two weeks something happens with my laptop. Laptop is on, and when I open the lid, or closed, the screen flashes, colors change, you can see the different stripes in black and white or color, generally the screen is distorted.
This happens when the lid is at an angle from 0 to 90 degrees, when there are more than 90 degrees then it does not happen.
Probably something is wrong in connection with the laptop screen, in the hinges. Only way out is a service?

Yes, I agree with you possibly there is something wrong with the connection.
But its not possible to say whats wrong exactly.
It can be something wrong with the sensor which enables and disables the display backlight or maybe something wrong with an cable
There is no other option as to take this to the service If warranty is available (it should be valid 2 years long if the notebook was registered) then the notebook should be fixed free of charge.

1.Black screen flash for 0.1s after unlock by Touch id or passcode.
2.It only occur in different wallpaper set on Home and Lockscreen.
3.Black screen doesn't appear if Same wallpaper set on both Home and Locksceen.
4.Suspecting a software bug.
5.Hopefully fix it on next IOS updates.

Please help ASAP! I downloaded an app to change the Windows 10 login screen & now the screen flashes

I did the exact same thing and had a very similar issue (flashing lock screen and couldn't get past the lock screen). I tried a system restore, resetting my PC, doing a clean install of Win10, and both methods of booting in SafeMode -- none of these methods worked. Called Microsoft several times; Level 1 tech told me to do a USB installation of Win10 (couldn't get my laptop to restart the way the USB installation needed); Level 2 tech told me to do a USB installation of Win8.1 (again did not work because my laptop could not restart properly). Gave up with tech support. The only way i was able to fix this problem was by choosing the "restore PC to factory settings" option. All your files and programs will be lost, but all of mine were already lost anyway after I tried doing a clean install of Win10. My laptop (S7-392) restored to Win8; I updated all my drivers and then made a recovery drive; did a USB installation of Win8.1, updated drivers and made another recovery drive. I have since done a USB installation of Win10 and upgraded my drivers. IF the same issue happens again i'll just end up reverting back to Win8.1 for a while.

When i plug in my ipod touch to charge it starts with the battery with the little bolt under it then it goes to the apple logo screen and after a while it flashes white and just shuts off and restarts the process. Whats wrong and how do i fix it?

See if you missed anything here:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Quality of screen color flashes after connecting to external LCD monitor

After connecting my Powerbook G4 to an external LCD monitor via s-video, the quality of the image on the built-in screen flashes back and forth between what seems like a 8 or 16-bit image and a 32-bit image. I have run the hardware test and everything checks out fine but the image is grainy and washed out and only sometimes returns to normal. I have also reset PRAM and PMU to no effect, as well as tried recalibrating the display. And oddly, the external display is fine.
This is terribly frustrating as all colors are washed out and I can't truly gauge what I am doing design wise. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Silly Rabbit. I actually only hook the Powerbook up to the external monitor (LCD TV) to watch movies, show photos, etc. I don't actually use an external monitor on a daily basis.
Your suggestion is a good one, which I appreciate. I am going to the Genius Bar this afternoon, so hopefully they can provide a solution for the built-in screen.

Screen flashes instead of alert sound after 10.4.11 update

After updating to 10.4.11 about 2 weeks ago I noticed that my screen flashes whenever an alert sound should occur. It looks just like the "Flash screen when an alert sound occurs" option found in the Universal Access (Hearing) settings. I toggled the setting found there, but even when it's set to off, my flashing screen alert continues to occur. I know a friend of mine who experienced the exact same problem, but he hasn't found a solution to this (minor, but annoying) problem yet either. I also talked to a "genius" at the local Apple store. He hadn't heard about the problem and couldn't offer a solution either.
Is anybody else experiencing a flashing screen alert? How does one get rid of it? Thanks.

this solved it for me:
i checked my system alerts and found that the alert sound was set to some invalid legacy sound called AIM - probably left over from when i used AIM instead of iChat.
i set the alert sound back to one of the original Apple sounds and viola! No More Flashing Screen!!!

My imac screen is flashing after startup?

I may have a problem with my imac's screen flashing around the dock right after blue screen it shows up.
The dock will flash for a 1sec or 2sec and thats it.
Do i need to test the memory because i did install Hynix 2 X 2GB PC3-8500S DDR3 and they where from a macbook pro?
Will i need to take them out and leave in 2 original sticks then restart the imac to see if it corrects the problem?

A screen flash is not related to RAM. It's some other issue, which could be software or hardware related. You can start by doing some basic trouble shooting including restarting in Safe Mode and doing both a SMC and PRAM reset. It's OK to do each of these actions multiple times and it may be necessary to do them multiple times. If they don't help you can try some other things which we won't address yet.

Screen Flashes when opening lid after locked - T410s w/discrete -- Video of problem inside

My computer is set to password lock (in Windows 7) when I close the lid, but remain powered on. When I open the lid of the computer, the screen flashes around 10 times before it gives me the login screen.
My bios is updated, my graphics are turned to 'high performance' ... always on - when plugged in with A/C adapter.
Anyone know what the problem might be?

If it is possible, could you try removing the password so when the system wakes up from sleep, see if the screen flashes.
Also when your display is "out" to the TV via HDMI, try pressing Fn + F7 and see if you are able to switch it back to laptop view without rebooting. You could also change this via Display Properties.

White screen flash when shutting down after a suspend

If I have suspended my laptop at any time during its uptime, when shutting down the screen flashes white, but it turns off as usual. This only happens if I have suspened.
There are no issues as far as I can tell, I see nothing much in journalctl when comparing a suspeded shutdown vs no suspend.
Im using nouveau, and I'm up-to-date as of now.

Create a new account, name it "test" and see how your apps work in that User acct? (That will tell if your problem is systemwide or limited to your User acct.) This account is just for test, do nothing further with it.
Open System Preferences >> Accounts >> "+" make it an admin account.
If the problem is present in the test account also, then it is systemwide. In this case try repairing this with the 10.5.2 Combo Update This is a fuller install, as opposed to an incremental "delta" update so it should overwrite any files that are damaged or missing. It does not matter if you have applied it before.
Remember to Verify Disk before update and repair permissions after update from /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.
If the problem does not appear in the test account try starting in "Safe Mode" (It will take a bit more time to startup because it runs a directory check first).
If that works go to System Preferences >> Accounts >> Login Items and remove them. Boot normally and test. If there are still problems, go to ~(yourHome)/Library/Contextual Menu Items and move whatever is there to the desktop. Then do the same with /Library/Contextual Menu Items. Lastly, try moving /Users/Home)/Library/Fonts to your desktop and restarting.
Log out/in or restart, if that sorts it start putting items back one at a time until you find the culprit.

Mouse back/forward buttons don't respond after exiting from full screen Flash video

Yeah. Has anyone else encountered this? After viewing a full
screen video (YouTube, Hulu) and exiting (via the ESC button), the
back and foward buttons on my mouse stop responding. Really!
Usually I will have to go back into a full-screen video twice for
the buttons to get "stuck," and then it takes them several minutes
to regain their functionality.
I've had this going on for over a year now, and I'm finally
sick of it enough to where I want to get some help. I've narrowed
it down to the Flash player as being the culprit, and it happens on
every browser I've tried it on (Firefox 3: RC2, RC1, Beta5; Firefox
2; IE7; IE6; Safari 3.x). This started happening when I upgraded
the Flash Player and the first offending version would be the one
that introduced the current full screen Flash video technology. I'm
guessing it was 9.0.
I have a Logitech MediaPlay wireless mouse, Win XP SP2. I
have the latest version of Flash and the most up-to-date mouse
drivers.
