Screen flashes rapidly when iTunes opened

Whenever I open iTunes, the screen flashed rapidly. I can maneuver around but I'm worred about plugging my iPod in while this is happening.
I have run every anti-spyware and anti-virus known to man and I've only come across cookies. I've also unistalled/installed QuickTime/iTunes many times and I keep having the same issue
Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?

let's check to see if there are any peculiar compatibility settings engaged on your itunes. the following document has information on how to find the compatability settings controls:
iTunes for Windows: How to turn off Compatibility Mode
... but in this case, we're primarily concerned about making sure you don't have any of the other compatibility settings engaged (the display settings or input settings areas).
if any of the latter boxes are checked, does unchecking them help with the display issue?

My system: Fennec 32.0, Teclast x98 3g, Intel z3735D, Android 4.2.2
From time to time I observe screen flashing black when scrolling any page. I could not find consistent pattern, but maybe it happens when I have 3 or more opened tabs.
Could you help me to solve this issue?

There are alot of default features for scrolling in Firefox for android, but they are under the hood of the application in the about:config page.
Does this happen on pages with Flash player embedded in them?
The more current reasons why Flash may not work is if the phone/tablet has a Intel cpu and not a ARMv7 or v6 type of cpu that old Flash 11.1 for Android supports.. And if you have Android 4.1 or newer you need Firefox 27.0 and newer.
However if it is not, please open a bug with the device model and about:buildconfig page information as well as an example website where this happens all the time. Further investigation can be done with that information. :-)

Reinstalled iTunes 10.7 and now get an error message about the iTunes Store when iTunes opens

I just reinstalled iTunes 10.7 on my pc (Windows Vista 64-bit) after that disastrous iTunes 11, and now when iTunes opens, I get an annoying error message "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occured (4002)" I click on OK and I have no problem with iTunes opening and playing anything but how can I get rid of this annoying message? I'm not even trying to get into the iTunes Store.

How do i force library selection when itunes opens

I manage to select a specific library when itunes opens by holding alt key.
I would like the popup selection to open any time, even if the alt key is not pressed...

I have never heard of a way of dong this. If you're clever with computers you might be able to come up with a key comination or small automator app that does the equivalent of holding down the option key/alt key while clicking on the iTunes app, so you'd start iTunes with your own app, not directly.

Workflow/Automator to identify library when iTunes opens

Is there a way to use Automator/workflow to request which library to select when iTunes opens?
Here is my situation: I have 2 libraries one for me and one for my wife. My wife does not use a computer so I have not set up a separate user ID for her. Instead both libraries are under my user ID. Currently I need to select the "option" key when iTunes opens to request a library to open. Is there a way to use Automator/workflow to automate this process? I opened Automator but this is not one of the predefined items.

S200 screen blacks out when lid opened; lid closed it turns on!

This is badder than bad for a problem. When I open the netbook lid, the screen blanks out. This even happens at the boot stage immediately after pressing power button, so that the BIOS screen goes black when I open the lid. On closing the lid though, hey, the screen turns on. If it manages to boot the OS and I open the lid, the screen will black out. Then I close it and it turns on, but often opening it again and the netbook sleeps. A while ago, after that stage of the netbook sleeping, I could open the lid, hit Enter and get it to wake up and then I had roughly 1.5 min to do some work - perhaps longer I didn't actually time it. Now, however, it blacks out again after wake up (and its very hard to shut it down using a pencil reaching the power button!) I've opened the back off the netbook and try to find the lid switch, but I'm still not sure where it is - so that I could disable it completely. I'd prefer not to take it to the service center as warranty is over and I already had a $50 repair with Lenovo, so doing it once more is not really worth it. OS is Linux Ubuntu - and in all the Power settings I set it to do nothing when lid is closed. Any help would be appreciated!

Well, I had the idea of using a magnet to find out if the S200 uses a magnetic lid switch.
I ran it around the edges of lid and outside of keyboard and front... and suddenly, just by the Backspace key it was, the screen came back to life!
As i had the case opened I looked at what part was inside just there, and its the small usb/card-reader board. I couldn't tell if there was a lid switch component there though - but after I touched a few parts there, now the screen is always on when i start the netbook.
my other problem now though is that half of the keys don't work - no output on screen.
so that's another issue!

Connection issue? Lines on screen, flashing colors when screen opened. HELP

Only when I open the laptop, the top third of the screen is unviewable through lines on the screen, while the bottom thirds lag or glow a whitish green color for a minute. After a minute or so it'll readjust.
This doesn't happen when i put the MBP to sleep with the top open, so I believe that its a connection issue.

The repair requires a logic board replacement. You need to take your computer to an Apple retail store or an AASP for evaluation. I suggest you print out the page I linked and take it with you; some AASPs and even some Apple Store employees are sometimes unaware of the program.

When iTunes opens you see a message every time. Annoying!

Has everyone the same problem today with iTunes? When you open iTunes the screen will pop up with this followed message:
The item you asked is not available in the ****store. But it is weird I didn't bought a thing or asked for something?..
And the other thing there is also a message that you have to log in everytime.. Also annoying for iCloud. This 2 things never happened before..
I need help for this one. I think the others too.

The first message you see is when you click on a link that points on a file that's not available in your iTunes Store. Example : if you click on link for a TV Show only available in the USA and you use the Netherlands store you will see that message. It's OK.
The second message is when you need to log in with your Apple ID if you use the iTunes Store and iCloud.
You can try to deactivate iTunes Store and Ping in iTunes' preferences (in Parental Controls).

My MacBook Pro screen turns off when I open the lid!

This has been driving me nuts, and also apparently Apple as well.
When my MacBook Pro is connected to a power adapter, if I close the lid it sleeps like a good little Mac. When I open the lid, the display comes on instantly. Then after about a second, it goes black. The LED backlight turns off. I can get it to come on using either of two ways: 1) touch either of the brightness buttons, or 2) remove and replace the power connector.
Now, here is the weird part: it only seems to do it when I am logged in as me. If I login as guest, it doesn't happen. That would seem to imply it is something about my profile that causes it to happen. So I whacked ~/Library/Preferences and it still happened. So where is this particular bit of nastiness hiding?

OK, so I think I solved my issue. It was caused by the system not going to sleep (The screensaver thing was a dead end).
When I ran the console app pmset, I got something like this:

The process that was causing PreventSystemSleep to be 1 was "org.cups.cupsd" which is the print service. So I checked all my printers, one of them was "In Use". When I opened it, there weren't any jobs listed. I went through the options and selected Jobs > Show Everyone's Jobs and sure enough there was a job there. I deleted it and everything seems to work now.
The odd thing is that print job was probably from my other account which didn't seem to have this screen problem. Anyway, I hope this helps anyone out there....

Why does my screen flash green when I start up Firefox? (WinXP, FF7)

When I open a new instance of Firefox 7 (my machine is running Windows XP), before loading my homepage (Google for Firefox), the entire working area of the window (minus the blue windows bar across the top) flashes a bright miami green for just under a second.
Is this normal?

My Mac Unibody 2009 does this too. I am out of warranty. Any ideas on what is causing this? Any help appreciated!
Red flickering goes from a very pale to a pretty bright opacity and at first was intermittent, now all the time and especially noticeable where white or a very pale color is the predominant background color.
I would like to know if it could be repaired or if the repair cost is going to be so high that I would be better off buying a newer model.

Screen flashes black when launching video apps

Hi everyone,
I need some help getting a diagnostic of a problem I have.
I am using: xorg+catalyst+openbox
When I launch a video (with mplayer or vlc for example) or when a guest OS is booted in virtualbox, the screen flashes and becomes black for half a second before coming back again.
So far, this has led to no crashes or anything really unpleasant, but it would be nice to fix it if possible.

I am not keying out green, but I have the same exact problem. I am also using ProPresenter for most of the service elements (lyrics, video, etc) but I switch to Keynote so I have more creative control of sermon notes. I have the same graphic up in both programs and would like to seamlessly switch between the two. However, the "black flash" is a huge problem and distraction. I've noticed the same thing does not occur in Windows programs I have used in the past (say going from PowerPoint to SongShow Plus).
Is there a fix??!

Torch 9800 touch screen only works when slid open.

Hello everyone, this is my 1st post but I've been lurking the forum for some time. I'm running a Torch 9800 on AT&T right now on v6.0.0.600
This is what's happened with my phone: as the subject notes, my touch screen only seems to work when I slide open the phone.
What I've tried so far that doesn't work: rolling back software, rolling the software forward again, hard resets, soft resets, adjusting intervals for the touch screen.
The weird part is that I saw an older thread that had the exact opposite problem(touch screen only worked when the phone was slid closed). I have a level/ruler app for my phone and it's showing that the phone knows when it's tilted/angle/orientation. I've also closed the phone, opened it slightly (about the width of my thumb) and it stays horizontally oriented + I'm able to use the touch keyboard that way.
Anybody have a suggestion as to what I can try next to fix this? I haven't gone so far as to just go and get a 9810 yet, but i'm considering it.

Has it in anyway fallen or pressed hard at any point? It could be the belt, which would just need you to go with it to a certified repair center and get it secured.
