Screen font got big and lost all icons
Turned on my iPod touch and the font on the screen(date/time) were very large and I lost all of my icons. Thanks for anyone that can help me
Sounds like the Zoom feature of Accessibility go turned on. You can turn in off from the iPod by going to Settings>General>Accessibility>Zoom. You can also turn it off by connecting the iPod to your syncing computer and go to the Summary pane for your iPod under Devices on the left site in iTunes. From the Summary pane select Configure Universal Access in the Options section. The turn off Zoom.

When I bring up my Mozillafirefox, all I get is a window with a blank white screen, (and the firefox logo). (After using Firefox very happily for over a year, I had to 'reinstall' Firefox 3.66 about a month and a half ago, (and lost all my bookmarks as a result therein), and hope I can get my firefox back this time without having to reinstall. Mozilla Firefox is still listed as one of my active programs). HELP! Is there a way to get my firefox back without reinstalling? Many thanks!

I just got a new MacBook Pro, plugged my iPod into it and noticed all my songs didn't transfer, including the 6 new ones I just purchased. I then brought it back to my PC to sync, and lost all my songs on my iPod. I'm now receiving all kinds of weird messages that the name of my iPod is a duplicate and cannot be synced (no matter what I put in it). During the process of loading it on my Mac., a bunch of odd emails were popping up to sync. I just kept deleting and adding mine. Is it corrupted? What have I done??? I am a personal trainer and live by my iPod. Please help.
Your post is abit confusing, especially on getting those weird messages and emails,( assumed in your Windows machine.)
Most likely you have Restored the iPod using the new Macbook pro, using the same name as that in your Windows machine, hence the duplicate name warning, as it is trying to sync Automatically.
If you are syncing your iPod to both the Mac and Windows, you must set it to Manually Manage Music, in the first machine that you setup iTunes with the iPod. Read thsi Apple Support Article
In iTunes, Preference, tick on Prevent devices syncing automatically
Hopefully your music are still in both your iTunes library,
Connect the iPod to the Mac
Restore it (just to fix any filesystem corruption by the Windows end)
Set it to Manually Manage Music
Sync your selected songs in your library.
Whern sync complete, Eject it
Connect it to your Windows PC.
Select the song in the library
Sync it.
It should work if your ipod Hardisk is not giving any problem.

My mac doesnt start. All i get is the gray screen with the apple and the loading icon but nothing more happens. I tried to start it in safe mode but it doesnt help. What can i do?
If you have a external USB enclosure - trying installing your hard drive in that enclosure and connect it to your usb port - restart your macbook while holding down the options key. If you Macbook boots to your desktop then you have a faulty cable. If you get the same error, then your hard drive just died on you.

Did 8.1 upgrade on iphone 4S, phone went to recovery mode and lost all data
Today October 26th I was prompted for 8.1 upgrade to fix minor bugs. Did 8.1 upgrade on my iphone 4S, phone went to recovery mode and lost all data. I see an itunes icon with a charger pointing to it on the screen. I plugged the pphone to the laptop and get is itunes detected iPhone in recovery mode, you must restart the phone before you update ...and the download is taking 5 hours and i have 320 mbps download speed
Apple thinks i have an older phone and need to throw it and buy their new iphone 6. if thats the case, here is my middle finger... am going with some other OSApple doesn't care if you buy a newer phone or not. Apple doesn't need your new iPhone purchase. There are millions of people that have properly working older iPhones that voluntarily upgrade.
Your device crashed, and it could have been caused by any number of root causes, many of them not controlled by Apple. Third party app, interruption of internet connection, interruption of power, etc.

Wrong passcode RESET my phone and lost all data!!!
This morning my wife went to use my phone, she wanted to show my daughter some photos I took yesterday. She wasnt aware that I changed my passcode recently (she knew my old one). After attempting to enter my old passcode 3 times incorrectly, the phone shut down to the black + apple logo boot screen and came back into the factory reset state (the same state as when you buy the phone, with the welcome/setup flow).
I was baffled at how this could have happened, so I called Apple support. The technitian I spoke with had no idea how that could hav happened and asked me to check for iCloud or iTunes backups. Unfortunately I had not backed my phone up in the past 2 weeks of using my new 4S, and I didnt setup iCloud backup. So there was no solution available from Apple, I had to start all over and lost all my data.
After looking into this more, I cannot figure out how this could have happened. I did not set the Passcode setting to erase all data after 10 failed passcode attempts (plus my wife only tried 3 times).
I assume this is a big bug in the new OS (5) or some clever scam to get people to start using iCloud for backups. Word to the wise, backup or use iCloud, and check your passcode settings for that erase feature. If anyone has any clue how this could have happened I would love to hear.I do, but it is from a few weeks ago when I backed up my old 3GS to restore my brand new 4S. So I did restore to that backup but lost the past 3 weeks of photos, apps changes and more. I just had a baby too, so I really screwed the pooch by not backing up or using iCloud. I just cant imagine the data isnt still on the phone somehow, but maybe it did get wiped.
In any case, seems like a scary bug out there that others may hit, wanted to post this to help others. -
I downloaded iso5 and lost all my apps. I know i can get them back but what about all the documents i have now lost through Pages? And to a lesser extent the levels and scores i got to with my games (eg. angry birds)?
On your iPad tap Settings > Store
Make sure Apps is switched on.
For Documetns tap Settings > iCloud. Make sure Documents & Data ia switched on.
Now resrtart your iPad. Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. -
I had to reset my iPhone, and when I did I lost all my music and ringtones and all my apps. Well i was able to get my apps and the other music that I bought on iTunes back onto my phone but my ringtones are still missing. I don't want to go buy them again. How do I download them back to my phone? I have spend lots of money on ringtones on my phone. It happened before when I got a new phone and lost all of them. But I really want to know how to download and get them back.

This was the scenario:
The first time I updated, it was only my music that was lost.
When I got my music back, I lost my apps.
When I got my apps back, my contacts, notes and photos were lost.
Now I got back everything except for my photos.
(Yes, I restored from backup several times since the first update.)
Do you think if I try restoring from back up, my photos that were taken from my ipod will be restored finally?

Small Black Vertical Lines follow my mouse pointer AND surround all ICONS on my desktop. I just turned on my computer and it showed like this. I already tested my monitor and it's not the monitor.

Looking at websites, it's fine the display but any icons and my pointer and things that move have these lines following! Looking at VIDEO, it's the picture is full of white and black lines though you can see the video just fine.

The display is perfect EXCEPT for two parallel lines of 17, 3 millimeter-long black lines that follow the pointer everywhere it goes.
Get this: my current display is 1024x768, but when I change it to 640x480, the pointer and everything is perfect! (of course, I can only see a fraction of my desktop)
But then again... when I zoom in and out holding down control (in 640x480) the pointer lines appear again, but less lines. They disappear when I re-reset it to 640.
Strange.
But yeah, safe mode is NEAR perfect with the except of the cursor lines. I can screen grab my cursor though to show... -
I had to re-format my laptop and lost all of the songs in my I tunes but have them all still on my I pod can I transfer my sogns from the I pod to I tunes?
CD's can only be played on PC's or Mac's (obviously). If they contained music in them, they will have to be downloaded over again. What is best to do for further problems ike this is to put those songs on a big external hard drive at about 500GB for $60. They work very well and they are time saving. Putting in multiple CD's into one big hard drive will work well. Unless you have the songs on your computer with another music player like Windows Media Player for Windows XP - 7, you do not have to do all those CD downloads. If you have them on your computer do this: File>> Add File to iTunes the drag a big box around most of the music songs and they will be uploaded.

Also, iTunes will only allow you to transfer PURCHASES to it. Follow this advice^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^....!!!!!! -
I upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks OS X, and lost all of my "on my mac" mail boxes. How do I restore them?
The answer was more complicated. I had to have an Apple Care tech help me onscreen. Had to go to Time Machine to restore (which I had tried, but couldn't find the right files to import. The Mail icon was barred). They helped me find them. It was very complicated, with many steps involved. I never could have figured it out on my own. Even the tech was not sure how, or if it would work. And it took about 1/2 hour for the stuff to download. But, the problem was solved eventually

Thanks, but I checked iCloud and it has none of them.
If it backed up to my laptop, that died and I just got the new computer. The one that's crashed won't even boot, so there's no way to even tell if it was syncing the contacts along with all the phone photos. Literally happened at the same time - it was because I had the new computer that I was finally able to pull the photos off the phone and make room for the upgrade. It had refused to upgrade for lack of space for some time.
I had thought it was set to sync to iCloud but it vanished from BOTH my phone and the cloud. That's why I'm so angry about it.
