Screen freeze on an internet Tab?

I have a new macbook pro and at times when i have the internet with multiple tabs, i move the cursur over the screen in a way which alters the resolution of that tab only. then on i cannot alter anything on that tab, click buttons, change text etc.. its frozen and i do not know how to change the resolution again....the other tabs are not affected. Any ideas what is happening on the screen??

I have made little progress, mainly due to lack of time. Over the holidays, I tested an external monitor, using both the F7 key and navigating via Voice Over, and the monitor was not detected.
I'm next trying to run the Automated Hardware Test... However, I'm suffering from a common problem with the DVD being unable to read disks.
Have you tested an external monitor? If so, what were your results?

• On my ATV home screen the menu tabs for Movies does not show nor does Netflix under the Internet tab, I have tried reset etc but nothing works

I think I have a 1st gen ATV. The other evening I got the ubiquitous "Error-HDCP content etc, try again" message. When I logged back in later, the Movies tab was gone from the menu screen as was Netflix under the Internet tab. I have tried reset, restore, unplugging etc and nothing works, any thoughts?

If you had/have Netflix, you have the Apple TV 2.
Check your iTunes Store location is set to the correct location.

• How can I fix problem of Screen freezing in Fullscreen view display.

Click Vie , Full Screen. Have multiple tabs open. Screen freezes. Prompting does not drop the tabs back down to switch pages etc. Happens randomly, several times a day, since upgrade to Firefix 9. Prior to that I never had an issue with the Full screen feature and used it ALL the time. Please help.I do not want to lose this feature!!!

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
Try to disable hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

• Screen freezes, even in safe mode and in BIOS

I’m working on a friend’s laptop: Toshiba, Satellite M65 - S9092
Original problem: The laptop started shutting down after few minutes of use. (Probable overheating)
Took the laptop apart and clean it out. The heatsink, fan and outlets were really plugged up. Put it back together and did a clean re-install, Windows XP. Had few issues with USB drivers not being recognized but worked it out. Ran stress test for a whole day, no problem.
Worked for few days and then USB wasn’t being recognized again and the screen started freezing up. Re-installed os again but it is still freezing up after few minutes, and stays that way till hard shut down.
Screen freezes even in safe mode and in BIOS. (No blue screens)
Switched existing RAM’s around (2 - 512MB), one stick, two sticks, etc…still freezing up. Wanted to upgrade the BIOS but can’t get pass the screen freezing. Not sure if the motherboard may be shot from previous overheating or need new RAM. Don’t want to spend money till I’m sure I’m replacing the right part.
Any assistance is appreciated.

Hi there... I have a satellite A70 - S256 an it was freezing up the same way. I downloaded an OS named UBUNTU fron the internet free of charge. once you download it an burn it to cd you can then boot from it after a couple of tries ( due to freezing). When it boots select your language immediately and choose the option to run memory tests (both installed and BIOS) and let it do its thing for as long as it takes. you should boot from UBUNTU on another working pc to get familiar with it if you are not allready so that you make your selection quickly before it freezes. You may have to reboot a few times depending on freezing while the memory test is in progress and how much progress is made. This procedure fixed mines and I never had those problems again.

• Z10 unlock screen freeze problem OS 10.2.1

When i open up my phone and try to enter my password the screen freezes. I updated to 10.2.1 and pretty much the only thing i did was switch my password to picture password and a couple days later this problem happened. I can swipe up on the screen and it shows me the picture password but i cant move it its just frozen. When i do a battery remove reset it will let me into the phone but i cant open any apps or read any messages, it lets me into the hub but i cant open anything i also cant access the hub tabs, although it will let me swipe and look at all of my apps. Its almost like there is a hardcore amount of processing going on in the background and its just bogged down! the worst part is now that im in the phone and i go and press the top button to lock the phone the screen freezes again when i try to get back in! very frustrating I have all of my contacts and emails that are unaccessible now! I am wondering maybe this is like a bug or something that other people are experiencing with the new OS or there is like some simple fix. Otherwise the OS seems stable and has alot of cool new features. Thanks in advance for any help

I have done a hard reset, took out the battery restarted it and it lets me into the phone, but then i get another problem: I cant open any apps or go into one part of the hub, I can see the unopened messages( ie title line and who its from) but i cannot open them or open the menu in the hub, although i can swipe through the apps but can only look at them (not open them). I have also tried soft reset, restart and just hitting the power button a bunch of time

• Iphoone screen freeze

Current OS 4.0.1
Error prompt not able to update Unknown error (1602) when trying to update to 4.0.2
Currently the iphone screen freeze at the picture of usb connecting to itunes. Rebooting the phone those not have any effect

OK--it sounds like your real priority is to make a good backup. You can get a firewire external hard drive and create an exact clone of your internal hard drive using a utility like Super Duper. You want to do this as soon as possible, just so you do have a backup if the freezing problem suddenly gets worse and your computer becomes unusable.
Something else you can do. Go to Disk Utility and click on your hard drive by brand name and go to the First Aid tab. Verify both permissions and the disk, and repair if necessary. If the disk needs repair, then you will need to boot from your install disc and navigate to the Disk Utility on it to repair the disk. Also check to see that the S.M.A.R.T status is verified.
This is just a general maintenance thing to do. I don't know if it will help, but it could, and it certainly won't hurt anything. Sometimes things don't work properly if permissions need to be repaired.
Another thing you could try is a Safe Boot:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455?viewlocale=en_US
A safe boot will disable some functions. If the freezing problem is not there with a safe boot, then the cause of the freezing could be in one of the functions that was disabled.
Good luck!

I have a Satellite P200 duo core with 2GB of memory. Quite often when I try to open a screen in ieplorer the screen freezes and goes white. When I look at the computer performance it tells me the CPU is working at 100% and the physical memory at just 50%. Would increasing the memory to 4GBhelp or is there anything else I should try?
I am using Vi
JohnF

Hey,
Usually for all OS 2GB memory should be enough and in my opinion an upgrade to 4GB is only necessary if you run programs (e. g. games) they need a lot of memory.
As Akuma wrote, I think a software toolbar or something else causes the high CPU usage so remove them.
Make also sure that you are using newest version of Internet Explorer.

• My ipad jumps apps and internet tabs, Why?

My ipad jumps apps and internet tabs when I am using it to watch videos and produce mini art.
I have reset factory settings and such, but it still happens.
Has anyone else had this problem or is my ipad buggered.
Any help or response much appreciated.

Hi Mikey,
Take a look at the iPad User Guide, which is linked below, and make sure you aren't accidentally using multitasking gestures when the issue occurs.
iPad User Guide For iOS 7.1 Software
manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1595/en_US/ipad_user_guide.pdf
Multitasking gestures
You can use multitasking gestures on iPad to return to the Home screen, reveal the multitasking display, or switch to another app.
Return to the Home screen. Pinch four or five fingers together.
Reveal the multitasking display. Swipe up with four or five fingers.
Switch apps. Swipe left or right with four or five fingers.
Turn multitasking gestures on or off. Go to Settings > General > Multitasking Gestures.

• WHY does screen freeze when downloading ios8 to ipad

downloading ios8 why does screen freeze at TERMS AND CONDITIONS after tapping AGREE?

It sounds like you have a slow and/or erratic Internet connection or WiFi router problems (these can be worse if you have a weak WiFi signal).
Get the SpeedTest App to check your Internet speed and consistency.

• My iMac screen freezes and a grey colour slowly creeps down my screen

Hi, my iMac screen freezes and a grey colour slowly creeps down the screen and has a large black square in the centre saying "You must restart your computer by pressing the power button and then pressing it again to restart" or words to that effect in English and about 4 or 5 other languages. I find this happens more frequently when I try to stream movies or tv shows. It also happened when I was trying to download a couple of tv shows from iTunes.
It also sometimes makes a wierd sound a kind of loud noise like a record stuck in a groove. This has happend many times since upgrading to Lion. I hear a lot of people on here talking about their screens going completely black and not responding. I believe that mine has only gone black a couple of times and I couldn't wake it up from "sleep mode" with the mouse or keyboard. I don't know if this is also happening to other people, but my bluetooth keyboard keeps disconnecting all the time since the upgrade as well, it's driving me nuts!! Plus my wifi will show that it is fully operational, however, I can't use the internet when I wake my computer from sleep mode. I have to click on wifi and turn wifi off then on again before i can use it.
Is Apple going to come out with a fix or are we going to eternally suffer indefinitley.

Hi Eric,
I don't know why it didn't work before, but here is the most recent errol log. It crashed again about an hour later. If there is a solution, i would greatly appreciate knowing what it is because I can't enjoy using my computer anymore because of these constant crasahes.
Thanks for your time.

• Lg g2 screen freeze

I just got am LG g2 last week. I have been noticing that the screen freezes up about 40% of the time when the charger cord is plugged in. About 70% of the time cord plugged in and on the settings screen, and almost all of the time in the mobile data section of the settings tab (again only when plugged into the charger cable). If I unplug the cord, the screen starts working. As this is not a brand new product, does anyone know what the fix is for this, because it makes it real hard to use in the car on the charger cable.
Thanks, Jeff. Starting to wish I stuck with my basic non-smart phone, it always worked right up to the end.

Brand new lg g2, never around water, only had it 5 days so far. Yes I have added some apps, but this was issue before I loaded anything other than the stock install. I can reproduce by going to settings -> mobile data, plug phone in and screen freezes, unplug phone and screen starts working. It also happens happens if I go to the help app and user manual (same process). This mostly occurs on the settings app. also note: the only apps I have loaded are the same apps I use on my Samsung note 8 and have been for a while now with no issues. Both devices are running kit kat

• TS3367 why does my screen freeze while using face time?

Why does my screen freeze on my iphone 4 while using face time? I am connected to wi-fi and internet is working fine.

Is your iPhone storage capacity full or close to it?
Try a reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release. A reset is similar to computer restart.

• Tabstrip control issue, screen freezes

I have a Screen with a tabstrip control with 4 tabs. It will let me select tab 1, tab 2, tab 3, and tab 4, but when tab 4 is selected, and i click another tab, the screen freezes, and will not allow me to get out, what is the problem?

Can you send the code ,may after the tab 4 is selected ,you are not activating the tab or no screen is attached.
