Screen get black during phonecall

Hi
I bought my Xperia z3 in october, it has worked fine untill now....When i get a call or make a call my phone goes into blackscreen and i cant open it with pressin the button on the side. I have to wait for the call to cancel then i cant press the button and it returns to normal.
What do you think the problem is? What should i do, return it to the store?
Please help!

Test this section and clarify if it works.

Screen Goes Black During Startup (after login)

Hello,
I have a 2005 Mac Mini PPC OS 10.4.11. This is the first problem I've had since purchasing the computer. This problem popped up out of nowhere. The screen goes black during startup just after I login into my account. I can hear the hard drive spin like it is finishing the startup process. The monitor power button blinks green.
I'm using the digital video cable. I tried switching to the VGA cable but the screen then goes black before the login screen.
The computer will startup in Safe mode.
I've tried Disk Utility (repair disk and repair permissions), Techtool Pro, Drive Genius, ColorSync Utility, Reset Pram, installed latest OS updates, and even re-installed the System twice (once because I removed all the Extension files and then the computer would not startup at all).
I've also tried removing cache files, plist files, startup files, preference files, and some or all of extension files.
The only applications I have recently installed were QuickTime Pro and a .flv movie player; both about a week before this problem started. I tried to uninstall them but could not figure out how.
What is the problem? How can this be fixed?

When switching resolutions from 1280x1024 to 800x600 or vice versa, the monitor will cut to black and the power light on the monitor switches from solid green to flashing green. Only by combinations of powering down the mini and starting it up again with the monitor on or off will bring the monitor back to life. This problem makes it difficult to play World of Warcraft amongst other games. Any feedback in regards to this problem would be appreciated.

At this point, I am unable to switch Monitor resolutions. If I do, the monitor goes black, and I have to power everything down and wait a while before I can restart.
I've resigned myself to not switching resolutions, but I'm wondering if you've had any luck.

Not unless you've got accidental damage cover on it with Apple and I don't think that's even covered with Applecare - if you have that then check with them directly.
Otherwise you may need to see if you can claim for it under your house contents insurance.

Does the screen turn black during an Apple Hardware Test?

My iMac screen has started turning black randomly. I searched the forums for advice about what to do an have tried
1. Unplugging everything and rebooting after waiting a while.
2. Resetting PRam (3 times.)
3. Running AHT.
The last test is running at the moment and I set it to Extended mode having noted that the test would probably take over an hour to complete. After five minutes the screen went black and I'm wondering how to tell when the test is complete and if this is normal procedure or a result of the original problem.
I know that the test is still running because I just heard a fan briefly surge, but pressing the keyboard or clicking the mouse does not wake the display.
Will I get some audible indication when the test is done, and if not how should I proceed since the only way to shut the computer down seems to be to hold the Power button for an extended time, or to pull the plug. If I have to resort to these options is there a way to view whatever results the AHT test determined?

Thanks for responding. Could you say whether or not I can expect a notification of the end of the test. I had to shut down the computer using the power button because the screen remained black 90 minutes after the test started. I couldn't see any results for the test I did.
If this pattern continues would you try reinstalling the OS before sending it off for repair?

Screen went black during migration from time machine backup

Just did a clean install of Mavericks on my wife's 3-year old MacBook Air. I erased the hard disk first from the Recovery drive. Then did the Maverics install. All went well. Then I started a Time Machine migration from a back up I had on a Toshiba HD. Everything started well showing about a 2 hour back up time, but about 1 hour into the migration, the MacBook screen went black. I couldn't get it to go on, so I did a hard reboot of the system. I've had to start the migration again, but not I'm concerned the same thing will happen.
Any ideas what is going on?

You can also go to System Preferences/Energy Saver and set Display sleep to never until you are done, then reset it.

Suddenly my screen gets black !!

Some time ago my iMac screen got black suddenly, then I pressed the start buttom during a while, the computer restart its activity and the screen was normal again.
Now this issue happens frequently.
Why does it happen? is it serious?

Screen gets black when engaged in a call

I am having the same problem with blank screen when using the phone. Hasn't always done this, about one week. Would appreciate suggestions.

Obviously the screen will go blank when you are on a call but generally its off when there is something at a distance of 1 cm and turns on again if not.
So if your screen gets switched off and you want to turn it on , check by clicking on the "power" button it should turn on.
Corrective measures:
1. Proximity sensor is not covered.
2. Check without any screen protector.

Screen turns black during use

Ok I had this problem before, took it to Apple..They fixed it. Now my computer it doing this again! I had a couple windows open, then all of a sudden my screen turns black. The keyboard light was still on though. So I think the computer may have gone into sleep mode?! Can someone comment on this? Then I pressed the power button to shut the computer off. I tried to restart it. I got to the login page, typed my password. Everything looked fine. Then I tried opening safari and the computer screen turned black again.

"Ok I had this problem before, took it to Apple..They fixed it. Now my computer it doing this again!"
Take MBP back to the repair shop & tell them it's still "broke." If the original repairs were done under warranty, I would call Apple Care first so that they can research your +original repair case number.+
Have you checked your Energy Saver settings?

Screen goes black during boot

Hi guys,
I've just finished installing Arch for the first time after using Ubuntu until now.
My problem is the when grub starts the boot process the screen goes blank and I can do nothing but restart.
The only way the system boot up is when I add "nomodeset" in the kernel line of grub's entery.
But as the wiki says, while using nomodeset gnome shell only works in fallback mode.
I've got a ATI X800 (R430) which doesn't suporrted by catalyst.
Just for the record, while i was running Ubuntu everything (including full gnome shell) worked as it should with the open source drivers (I've installed xf86-video-ati).
Any suggestions on what can I do to solve this?
Arch is really amazingly fast and I don't want to have to go back to ubuntu. pls help.

Is there a guide in the wiki for doing this? I've looke at the "ATI" part of the wiki and nothing there seems to help nor show how to config the card.

I've tried vga=773 even before using nomodeset and it didn't work.
To be more accurate it work for like 3 seconds until the boot process loads somthig like that starts with udev (I don't remember the full name).
But this is not different then when I try to load without "nomodeset".
To sum it all up, I get blank screen (no video signal) always unless I use nomodeset.

My screens went black during ML installation - what to do?

I'm trying to upgrade from Snow Leopard to ML on my MacPro right now but my screens just went black half an hour ago and nothing happens.
What should I do?

I just had to wait; then it started up alright.
But it's slower than Snow Leopard. A 3D file that took me 2:57 to render in SL takes 3:08 in ML.

Screen gets funky during call when lock button is pushed and phone rotated

I was on the phone tonight and had some screen issues. Here is what happened.
Received phone call, answered it normally.
Changed to speaker phone
After a bit I hit the lock botton on the top of the phone
Waited a few seconds, hit the lock button again to unlock the phone
Locked the phone, rotated it
Unlocked the phone saw some funky screen layout
Ended the call
Couldn't get the screen back to normal until I rebooted the phone. Pictures of the "funky" screen layout are attached.

Screen turns black during video call on Xperia Z

Me too....i am using xperia z....any update on this matter.

alexrx - I was not sure what the test is supposed to do.When I clicked on the Proximity Test in the meny I got a black screen that said "Proximity switch ON". It did not change if moving the phone around.
I did not know where the proximity sensor was located - but a little google helped me along. For others who might find this post - it is located in the upper left corner. Having a screen protector covering the sensor I decided to remove that and it seems to work now. So a dirty screen protector seems to have been the root cause of the issue.
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction :-D (I wish the guy at the Sony support chat had been able to do the same...)

Screen becomes black during the connection is based.

Since two day, every time if I call somebody as soon as the phone the connection is based the display becomes black. It is the same problem, if I select someone from the contacts or I gives a number. If I press the off/on button the call ends. If I do nothing I can talk but the display is still black until the talk ends.
