Screen getting locked in flex

Hi friends,
i have the Flex UI .when the user clicks on button a
function is called ,that function execution time is little longer
than simple functions.During this time the screen getting
locked.even i set busy cursor also it is getting locked.This
behavior is frustrating.how can i handle this so that the user can
know the operation is in progress.

You have not correctly implemented Atta's solution then.
Properly used, callLater will allow the UI to update.
Of course if you are simply doing a lot of work then the best
solution is to move the heavy processing to the server.

The otterbox is one of the culprits. Take the phone out of the case and see if it still happens. If so it is not the case. If the problem goes away, then you may need to make the hole slightly larger. My family has three iPhone 4's in otterboxes and none have this problem. Other users on this forum have reported success with the above methods.

Laptop screen not getting locked on close lid or resume from suspend

I am using kde 4.4 rc2 atm. My laptop screen is not getting locked when I closed the lid or when laptop resumes from a suspend to ram.
It used to work correctly before I installed acpid(before that I just had the acpi client package installed.) Power Devil used to handle everything correctly.
The power devil settings already says, Lock screen on resume and I have added Lock screen as action for Lid close for performance profile.
Is there any way to fix this. I want to make laptop screen lock when I do lid close or resume from suspend/hibernate.

Suspend has always been problematic under Linux. It seems to be hit or miss for the most part, but here are some things you can try:
Use an LTS kernel, tuxonice, pm-utils, etc. See Suspend and Hibernate
Try a different graphics driver
Tweak the driver module parameters or build your own driver.
Unfortunately I don't have experience with the radeon driver, so I can only give you ideas.

Yeah there's no setting for that. So either you don't have an iPhone, or your iPhone is jail broken. If it's jail broken, just restore to factory and all will be fixed :)

I have iPhone 5 IOS 8.1.2; for past 13 weeks I get message that my phone has not backed up on the cloud. Every night however the wifi is on, phone is connected to power, and screen is locked. Any idea why back-up is not happening ?

Try deleting an other icloud backup and see if it will automatically backup.

When my wife receives a call and her screen is locked she gets two choices. Remind me and answer. When I get a call, I get 3 buttons. Remind me, message and answer. Both are iPhone 4S with ios7.

This sometimes happens if you have a case or screen protector on the phone. IF you have one of these remove it and see if it makes any difference

HT1430 Ipad is on but screen is black. "Screen is locked" keeps sounding. How do I get screen back?

If VoiceOver has been enabled on your device, first try to disable it by triple-clicing the home button. If that doesn't work, you can connect the device to iTunes to remove the accessibility options. Otherwise, tap on an item to select it, and the device will read it out loud. After the item has been highlighted via one tap, double tap on the same item to select it. Once into your phone, navigate to Settings > General > Accessibility to disable VoiceOver.

Screen problems - black screen and lock-up (plus HDMI issues)

Hi, I'm not sure if these are related to the same fundamental issue, but they are both serious problems that need resolution.
I have a new mid-2012 MBPretina. I am on all the latest updates (10.8.2).
The first problem is the most recent, and the most serious problem. Since I updated the Java a couple of days ago I've been experiencing random black screens and lock-ups. Essentially, what happens is that sometimes when I perform an action (opening an app, clicking a link on a webpage, performing other kinds of in-app actions, etc.) the computer screen will go black. About half the time I can, through my own memory, try keyboard combinations to quit or force quit the most recently used app (the one where the action was just performed), and I will get some glimpse of the underlying apps, while the menubar and other areas will remain black until I move a window on top of the black space. Sometimes no key combinations work and I am forced to perform a hard restart with the power button. This is a serious issue, obviously, since I will lose current work/progress in my apps. I'm not sure if this is because of the new Java update, or has to do with something else, but it started happening shortly thereafter, over the last 2 days. I work most of my waking day on my laptop, and this "black screen of death" has happened about 5 or 6 times a day.
The second problem I have been experiencing since I starting using my MBPr with external HDMI displays in August/September. The problem is that I will plug the MBPr into an HDMI display, the screen will temporaliy go black, and then bring me to the login screen (as if it's crashing, albeit softly). This happens about 1 out of 4 times nowadays.
How can I fix these problems, especially the first?

UPDATE:
Clearly there's a problem because a third of the way through a clean reinstallation from scratch it black screened again. Hmmmm.
Now this is not good. Problem is I can't rule out potential updates from Apple that might have caused this either.
The search for solutions continues.

can someone please help me before i pull all of my hair out.
i have windows vista - 64 bit - the HP IQ500 touchsmart with a wireless keyboard.
in the systray the num caps and scroll lock appears as little blue boxes (when on).
everynow and again they simply disapper.
i researced how to activate them again but cant remember how to do it.
there is a way without having to mess with the registry and without downloading any program
i just cant remember how. i know wherever it is...you ultimately get 3 boxes that you can check in order to turn the options back on.
i am not talking about toggling, or sound, or mscofig and then boot.
does anyone know the steps to turn the caps scroll and num lock indicator in teh sys tray back on
oh, and right clicking on the toolbar and going to the notificiation area is not what i am referring to either.
I checked in the control panel programs and the hp on screen caps lock indicator etc program is there.
I reinstalled it nonetheless and confirmed it is installed properly
When I right click on the notification area I do to properties/notification area/customize
There are two lists there
1. Current Items and
2. Past Items
For some reason I see caps lock - scroll lock and num lock under the past items
There you are also able to change the status of the items to either Hide wne active, hide or show
All three (caps/num/scroll) are SHOW
I click apply OK then apply
I restart the computer and nothing. The on screen caps lock indicator is still not in the notification area/systray area
I repeat teh steps to ensure that the three have the SHOW option chosen and they are.
So....
Program is installed
Items are check for SHOW
Restart was done
Ohhh and also...I went to MSCONFIG and made sure that the HP Keyboard Program was selected/check mark as one of the start up programs.
There in a run command to activiate the 3rd party program (hp onscreen indicator program)
When you enter the run command that I cant remember...you then get this option where there are three check boxes...one next to num lock - one next to caps lock and one for scroll lock.
Once you check/select the boxes/options you want...presto they appear in the sys tray/notification area.
I just cant remember the run command it to save my life.
Please....put my mind to ease...cause I am losing it!

Next step is to Restore it in iTunes from your backup. If that does not work they try Restoring it as a new phone. If still no go it is a hardware failure and you will need to get it serviced.
And you are not showing the hardware lock icon on the top right of the home screen?

But when i again try with Unlock user from ABAP engine it is getting locked after i press refresh in the browser.And in the "connection tab" in the exchangeProfile page i have user as PILDuser, client 000 and passwd assigned here.

And after resetting the passwords i just moved little bit forward now i can see the following options on the screen
