Screen glitch. Pixelated screen then iPod crashes

Hi, i am having a problem with my iPod. not sure of the make or model. The screen seems to pixelate then the iPod crashes. I am able to restart the iPod and it seems fine when i turn it back on, but after a few seconds it pixelates and crashes again. Can any one help? has any one else experienced this problem?
I have only had the iPod since November and up until now i have had no problems with it.
I have attached links to photos of the screen display in case my explanations are not enough.

  • Only Splash screen then it crashes

I'm testing a new App, I download the iap file and drag it to itunes, it download OK in the iPAD but when I clik on the App icon it shows only the Splash screen for few seconds and then the ipad's screen return to the original status showing all the App icons, it also happens when I click on the Adobe viewer icon but all the other Apps are OK, Any bug ?? some suggestion ??

The image sequence require a lot of RAM to run. It shouldn't be topping your available RAM out (which should be around 10MB) but with the app launch and the immediate launch of the image sequence it is possible there is a RAM issue.
Unfortuently there isn't any good way to test RAM usage that I know of (if anyone else knows a good way, without a jailbreak, I'd be happy to hear about it) but I would suggest completely turning your device off (hold the top power button until the "Swipe to Power Off" appears) and turning it back on and then testing. If that doesn't work, I would rebuild and remove the image sequence from the first page. That will hopefully tell you if it's a problem with the build or with the content.

  • Macbook Pro Black boxes across screen then crashes

I have a Macbook Pro that I got 2 months ago. A couple days ago it froze and had black boxes all across the screen, then it crashed. Today when I started it up after I logged in while it was loading the black boxes popped up again, then it crashed. And when I tried to restart it it just beeped. The battery was around 50% so it wasn't dead. Its been fully updated and I haven't made any changes to it. Please help if there's anything I can do without taking it in

So randomly my ipod crashed and when i turned the ipod on again it was all white and blurred. Part of the screen is up to speed but the other half is slow. Already tried turning it completely off and restoring it on the computer

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

  • [SOLVED]Half-Life 2 couldn't run. Showed "source" screen then crashed.

Okay, suddenly I really got the urge to play this game again (I never managed to finish the game actually).
The appdb page it supposed to run flawlessly with wine. But so far, I couldn't play the game at all.
At first, I realized that I didn't have lib32-mpg123 package installed. After installing the package, the game start screen showed, but it a little off screen. Wrong resolution. So I changed the resolution to native 1366x768. As the result, the game became unplayable. Only showed the "Source" screen then crashed.
I tried to find a solution but no luck so far (well, it's almost 9 years old after all).
I got Dota 2 and Torchlight 2 installed. Both run almost flawlessly.

I googled the error messages from your log. I suggest you do the same.
The first entry in the "Workarounds" section of this page on the Wine website is linked in a few forum discussions with people with the same fixme debug output you get, so hopefully will solve the problem. Especially disabling the in-game community.
EDIT: ChemBro raises an interesting point, though I do know a few people using Arch who can get hl2.exe-based games working with optimus.

  • How to wake ipod from its funk?  only shows start screen then dies

MY ipod won't turn on, charge up, or show up on my G4 laptop or in itunes. I try resetting it, but as soon as the start screen comes up it dies. If I plug it in, it lights up brightly and shows the start screen, then won't do a darn thing but show the start screen. When I disconnect it, it still has no battery no matter how long it was plugged in. I have the latest updates in itunes and osx. What's the deal?
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks

If you have had your ipod for a long time or maybe even if it is new, you may need a new battery!
I recommend calling apple or maybe this link might help:

  • 21.5 mid-2011 iMac screen keeps glitching out and then eventually goes black.

At the end of August 2011 I purchased a 21.5-inch iMac and just last week (8 or so months later) the screen started to glitch everywhere and then eventually turned black. It has been happening quite regularly and has become quite an issue. Before then it had been running perfectly, and we had had no problems at all. However when the screen goes black (as if it was asleep) you could still hear things playing in the background (such as the noise that the volume key makes when you press it on the keyboard). We have eliminated all possible interference problems (turned off: wifi, phone's, TV, lamps and even the fish pump) and have also had it tested by license technicians for software and hardware issues (which came back clean). So then they replaced the screen thinking that was the only other possibility, and when we brought it back home it started to do it again. I have no idea anymore and I was hoping that someone could tell me what might be going on, otherwise I will get it replaced under extend Apple Care warranty.
Thank you and the main specs are below:

Screen on ipod touch freezes and then goes white. Ihave restarted it and restored it but it didn't work. Anyone know what is wrong with it and how it can be fixed?

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store..

what do i do if my ipod touch keeps turning on, going to the charge screen, then going to the apple screen, then shutting off?

If it is still charging using the adapter, let it stay there for at least 15min, then connect again, if necessary use recovery mode. iOS: Unable to update or restore
If still not luck, and the battery still shows the red charging icon, you might need a new battery.

  • ITunes has weird lines all over the screen, then crashes.

Installed iTunes 8.0.1 and it's got the same configuration troubles. It happened when I installed iTunes 8 but I just did the whole regedit solution and changed permissions. Have tried doing that for 8.0.1 and I can change all the permissions the right way but it still does not fix the problem. Have also tried finding and replacing the iTunes.exe in Program Files but either I'm blind or it's just not there because I can't find it anywhere. The only way I can get into iTunes is by plugging my iPod in, it opens iTunes without prompting a restart of the computer. However, this lasts between 10-15 minutes before the interface just changes, it gets lines where the columns are and all the album artwork in the Genius sidebar is replaced with 'Cannot Find' symbols. At this point iTunes crashes and I have to close it and plug my iPod in again to get it to come back up. What in the blue **** is going on?

    Bump!
I'm also seeing some weird lines across the screen before itunes crashes. It happens after an hour or so of using itunes. I'm using Vista with iTunes v8.0.2.20. Any suggestions? Could it be the size of the library (~65,000)?

  • Apple Composite AV Cable: Full Screen from iPod to TV?

I'm looking at buying the Apple Composite AV Cable for my iPod Classic 120. I didn't want to purchase it before I knew if it would do what I want it to do.
Will it play TV shows, Videos, etc... full screen on my TV when plugged in?
Also, if I were to plug it into a 3rd party (Dynex) iPod dock, and plug the Apple Composite AV Cable into the 30pin port in back of the dock, would it still play on my TV?
And thirdly, with the above scenario in use, if I were to plug the USB end of the AV Cable into my computer, would it still play on my TV?
Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

Your first question is yes. If you set the ipod to "fit to screen" then it will, as long as when you convert the file, the aspect ratio is set to the ipod screen size(320×240 pixels). If the software has that option.
I'm not sure about the connection for the dock you want to use, but with the 6th gen ipods a lot of 3rd party docks will not allow you to view video's through them because of something written into the ipod software. The one you want to use does not support the Classic. The only one I found was Apples own. But you can not use the menu button on the remote, so you can not change between films (unless in a play list) or change between films, music, photos or any other function of the ipod with out manually doing it yourself. The menu button is only to be used with Apple TV.
No to your third question. Your ipod is connected to the computer and even if you play the file from the pod in itunes, it will only show up on your monitor

  • I have an ipod touch that hasn't been used for a while.  Now we want to use it, but the screen says "ipod is disabled connect to itunes"--but it won't connect.  I have tried to place in recovery mode with directions given but still get the same message.

I have an ipod touch that hasn't been used in a while.  We want to use it now, but the screen says "ipod disabled.  connect to itunes".  When I connect to itunes it tells me to enter my passcode, however the ipod will not allow me to do anything (and I don't know the code anyway).  I tried to put it in recovery mode as someone suggested by holding the home button while plugging the ipod up from the computer, but I never did get the "connect to itunes" symbol, I continually got the same screen saying "ipod disabled connect to itunes".  Help!

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
