Can someone please help....Mah screen on mah ipod has turned black...it still works tho..I plugged it into mah computer and when the ipod turned on the screen was black instead of white..can someone pelase help
Try a Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, usually about 10 seconds of holding both buttons.
Also you can try putting iPhone on Wall Charger and Reset again.
If still nothing Restore.
If still problem it will be covered by Warranty.

If this iPhone has had the screen replaced previously, possibly LCD Display connector has simply come loose from the Logic Board. Possibly the LCD Display is faulty and the front screen assembly needs to be replaced. If you have Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple. This is handled by Apple with Replacement iPhone 4S.

my screen turned black and i can not see anything. calls come through but i can not answer unless i assume where the sliding tab to answer it is on the screen . i turned it off and now i cant turn it back on because it needs my passcode lock which i can not put in because i can not use the screen....!!

My iTunes screen has turned black on my Mac.
I am therefore unable to see what's selected. Has anyone any ideas? I've tried the universal access options but no luck.
If you just upgraded to the new iTunes match it's a beta version still with plenty of bugs still left in the software.try restarting your computer and get back into iTunes and see what happens.if the problem persists then I would down grade the the last version of iTunes and that should take care of the problem.if you haven't upgraded there are a few worms and trojans viruses floating around in the Mac software recently and it could be and could be causing your problems.

You are wonderful! You are the best! I'm Stephania and I recently purchased a refurbished ipad2. I've had it for about 3 weeks now and updating & fixing it so my liking. The only thing that I couldn't correct were the photos that looked like negatives. Every photo, even on the internet, on apps, everywhere! I just couldn't figure out how to fix it. I contacted Apple Care and its too difficult to get in touch with them. I had looked through support before but didn't put in the right question. Well, today I got lucky. I did the two things you suggested and turning the "White On Black" off did the trick. I'm so happy! I had a feeling it was something simple and this is not even in the manual!

We have iPhone 4 and I plugged phone into after market hardwired plug in car (that we have used successfully for two years). The screen has gone black and wont turn on. Phone was charged. I have tried force quit- home screen and top button. iTunes is not recognizing phone when I plug into computer. help pls
FIRST charge with an Apple charger for at least 15 minutes. Then hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. Hold for up to 30 seconds. If nothing happens the phone hardware has failed.

I have a MacBook Pro from 2009 and the screen randomly turns black on me for no reason while I'm using it? It takes anywhere from 5 seconds to 1 minute to turn back on and no matter what I do it just has to fix itself so idk if it is going in to sleep mode or what. Anyone know the issue? Thanks.
Run through them and stop after #16 or if the problem stops, or if something tells you something severe (like hardware test giving a error)
If you can backup your personal data off the machine, you should do that first.
Hardware issues we cant' fix, only a few things may fix it.
Software issues we can fix, but right now we don't know what is causing your issue as we can't see it obviously.
So your going through a process of elimination to try to give us a clue what's the problem and then we can advise a course of action.
If you feel this is way over your head, then just make a appointement with Apple and/or your local PC/Mac specialist.
We are only other uesrs here, helping other users. -

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Background on google has turned black?
The background on google/safari on my iphone 4 has turned black (the URL bar at the top of the screen and the navigation bar along the bottom). It's only on Google, the rest of the phone is fine. I've updated to iOS5.1, tried doing a factory restore, soft reset, pretty much everything but cannot change it back. I have also check to make sure that I haven't inadvertently toggled the phone to white on black. Any ideas?
Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.
There's more to try but let's go a bit at a time.
