Screen image shifting

Hi
When I started my G5 this morning i noticed that the screen had become a little more blurred than usual (mostly visible with letters and numbers) and that every now and then the screen image is shifting a few pixels horizontally (maybe only 1 pixel). My Screen is a Sync master 226BW connected to DVI.
Does anyone know why this is suddenly happening?

Reset the PRAM:

Have you opened it up to see if dust was built up on the video card? It can get quite caked and once that happens it can overheat and produce these kind of symptoms.

New LG Monitor Screen Image Keeps Shifting a few pixels left and right / goes into power save mode

I just purchased a new LG Computer Monitor from Best Buy today and hooked it up to my PowerMac computer. Shortly after setting it up, the entire screen image started sporadically shifting left and right a few pixels. And then, at seemingly random times, it'll shut itself down, going into power save mode. I checked the cables to make sure they were secure and they seem to be. Could there be some sort of interference that's causing it? Or would it be the graphics card? My computer is only a couple years old. Please help!

Do you have another computer you can plug the monitor into to test?

How to stop my screen image from shifting with my cursor

For some reason my the page/screen is shifting up and down and back and forth with my cursor. How can I make this stop, it's making me queasy.

Go to System Preferences -> Universal Access and turn off Zoom.
Alternatively use the Alt-Command-8 key-combo.

LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw prints image shifted 1/2" from top of page.

When printing any report, diagnostic or form from the machine system I get printed image shift approx. 1/2" from the top.
Is there any adjustment that can be made to the MFP to center image?

I understand that when printing documents or a printer hardware self test, it shifts 1/2" from the top of the page. I can help you with this.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
It sounds like the paper isn't feeding properly. Since you are having this issue with the hardware tests and printing from the computer. If it was just the computer, I would check the paper type selected in the print driver, to make sure it isn't set on the proper paper type and not the default unspecified paper.
Try another type of paper to see if you get the same results.
I have provided a document with some steps to try to see if that will resolve the issue.

Cannot Capture Screen Image via Organizer in Xcode

Hi all:
I am trying to capture a screen image of my iPhone web app using the organizer's screenshot feature in Xcode.
When I attempt it, it gives me the following error:
"Could not communicate with the device, connection failed"
I've tried using different USB cables and still get the same error. Any ideas?

If you're trying to Screen Cap your phone, just hold the home button and press-and-release the power button. This will drop a screen capture to your photos in the phone. If you're trying to screen cap your machine, Shift-Command-4 then draw around the area you want to capture.

IMovie 6 HD - TV Screen Images are blurred

How do I created iMovie DVD that plays clear images and text?
I do not want to keep wasting DVDs experimenting for clear result.
I created iMovie per instructions from another post:
imported screenshots of website using KenBurns effect;
set the effect to 1.0 to stop zooming, and did not allow iMovie to render movie when exporting.
Discussion indicated that blurred image in iMovie would be clear on TV screen.
Imported snapshots were crystal clear in Preview and Photoshop.
Imported iMovie to iDVD and burned DVD.
DVD plays blurred images and text.

Are you saying I should size any still images at 768x576 pix before importing them into iMovie since that is TV resolution?
If you are using PAL, yes. For NTSC, the resolution is 640x480 pixels.
Does it matter what dpi the images are?
No, the dpi is of NO concern in video.

Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Xperia ZL - when I turn the screen image is not shown

I speak Spanish but try to leave the message in English too. SPANISH: Mi celular ZL presenta un problema, cuando enciendo la pantalla esta no muestra imagen. En otras palabras, la pantalla se ve negra. Esto sucede de forma aleatoria. Si tengo el celular en reposo (pero encendido) (por ejemplo en mi bolsillo o sobre mi escritorio) y quiero utilizarlo, presiono el botón de encendido, pero la pantalla no muestra imagen, el brillo de la pantalla enciende, el tactil funciona pero la imagen no se muestra. Cuando esto sucede, si presiono el botón de encendido 2 veces vuelve a presentar la imagen (la primera vez es como bloquear-apagar la pantalla, la segunda es como volverla a encender). Esto sucede de forma aleatoria entre días. También sucede al querer finalizar una llamada telefónica y separarlo de mi rostro la pantalla no muestra ninguna imagen lo que no me permite finalizar la llamada. También sucede de forma aleatoria cada tanto tiempo. Aunque suceda de forma aleatoria, es molesto y deseo encontrar solución al problema. He restablecido a datos de fabrica muchas veces y no se ha solucionado el problema. Soy de Colombia(país de latinoamerica) y la versión del sistema que tengo es Android 4.2.2 compilación 10.3.A.0.423. Via OTA y por PC Companion no aparece alguna nueva actualización. Video out to CRT yields entire screen image repeating

I have posted this problem before with no luck. I'm trying again in the hopes someone can offer a suggestion, or determine if my Powerbook needs servicing. The guy at the Apple Store didn't have much to offer.
The laptop's LCD display works fine. But when I extend my screen to a CRT with the video out on the card, I get my entire screen image repeating and fading off to the right. This makes for difficult text reading and detail work in programs dealing with lines and music fonts. And everyone who looks at my screen wonders if their eyes are going bad. I have tried both inputs on the display (a Mitsubishi DiamondPro 2070, 22" CRT) with no difference. I cannot capture the repetitions in a screen shot. I have tried many different resolutions and refresh rates, with no improvement. The current resolution 1280x1024, 100Hz.
My other computer comes through just fine in the same CRT.
Any ideas on this one? Should I have it sent in for repairs on the video card?
Is this issue called "ghosting"? I thought that was only an issue with LCD displays. Anyhow, I am using the DVI/VGA adapter that came with the powerbook and a Belkin VGA cable (can't recall the cost, but it wasn't cheap).

I would definitely try another cable if you have access to one. Otherwise, it could well be your Mac's video output has a problem. Can you try the Mac with another CRT monitor somewhere? That might tell you if the problem lies inside the Mac.

Full screen images and full screen color background boxes are cropping horizontally.

Full screen images aren't loading and full screen color background boxes are cropping horizontally. I'm forced to make my images a full screen slide show (of 1 image) to make it work, but then I lose the option to pin the image. Am I alone in this?

I would like to have full screen images on a page that fits to most browsers. I don't know what would be the best width in order to acomplish that.

How can i put full screen images on my E65??

Well, when you say fullscreen, you mean you want it to cover the active standby apps, as well, as the clock and provider area? If so, then you would have to customize your picture and turn it into a theme. If not, then edit your picture to be 240x320 pixels in the dimension. Your picture could be larger in size as long as it has the same aspect ratio, it should fit in perfect. I have not tried this myself, but theoretically it should work.

after upgraded to 7.0, I can't send the print screen image by Ctrl-V into the message box.
I can send only text by Ctrl-V now...

2 issues
1. ALT + PRT + SCR PTR to capture a screen print and the CTRL + V into the chatbox still works but the receiving party since 1 or 2 days seems to receive blurry images. These images are so blurry that they become unreadable. I understand that i can sent images with file transfer, but when you do this 100 times per day this requires me to first open an image editor, save the image, then click on file transfer, find the image and press send. So this blurry variant that is sent now is really an issue for me.
2. from time to time, files that are sent simpy do not arrive on the other side. So i can be speaking to the other side but the image randomly simply doesn't arrive. This issue comes and goes and it affects file transfers and pasted images into the chat.

I have a similiar problem. When I use skype on my new Mac Retina 13 inch my image on the screen will at times shake in a frozen position and at others just freeze up and not move. I never had this on my older Mac and wonder why this started happening with this new one.
Any idea why that is and how that could be fixed.
