Screen is blank when I click on the "Site" icon, no avenue to upload to an FTP. Help please
Trying to upload a website created through iWeb to an external host since MobileMe no longer an option. I Web is only linking to MobileMe when I click "publish". Researched instructions through the Apple tutorials and webs help sites, says to click on the "Site" icon, then a dropdown menu should appear. My screen in blank when I click on the "Site" icon. No options for loading to an FTP??? I have an external FTP purchased and ready to go, very frustrating. Thanks for any support!!!
iWeb 08 does not have that feature. You will need to upgrade to iWeb 3 in iLife 11 in order to get that feature. You can get iLife 11 at the online Apple Store while supplies last since iWeb (and iDVD) have been discontinued by Apple.
To pubish to an FTB server in iWeb 2 use the File ➙ Publish to Folder menu option and then use a 3rd party FTP client like Cyberduck to upload the site files.

When I click on the history icon in toolbar, I get a blank library window
I cannot see my history. When I click on the history icon in the toolbar I get a blank library window. The we address suggests things when I start to type, but I'm not sure if it's history or bookmards.
This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

I can watch Netflix fine from Apple tv but when I click onto the Movie Icon it acts as if it's about to show the movie rental selection then goes back to the home screen. Please help!

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

it still shows up when I click on the Airport icon in the task bar ? The other thing that keeps happening is
the Airport changes networks at random and when it does my wireless printers won't work until I change

When I click on the mail icon on my iPad 2 the mail accounts do not show up.

When I click on the Mail icon, the mail accounts do not appear. The screen is blank except in the he upper right corner of the screen I can see mini icons: flag, folder, file box, arrow, and pad/pencil mini icon.
I've been having a number of issues with Facebook ever since I upgraded to Version 8, so I don't know if this is a version issue or something else.
I've tried rebooting/restarting, etc. Nada.

In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Reset all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings. You will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again.
FWIW, I don't use Facebook at all, the app or in a browser, but I have read more that a few posts here where people that use the app all the time claim that is very buggy and causes all sorts of problems for them. Maybe closing the app along with the reset will help. -
I run Windows 7. I downloaded Firefox 6.0 for Windows which resulted in the following which I cannot fix:

I can go to internet explorer or AOL and it opens right up to my homepage but not when I click on Firefox.That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.

Hi, I forgot my user password mac 10.9.4 I don't need it to log in but i need it to make changes, etc. It says a password hasn't been set for this account but it still asks for one when i click on the lock icon. can anyone help me? thx!
This is a little confusing since you say you have forgotten your password and then the system says you have not entered a password. Even with an Admin account you must have a password to install software.
If you are using Mac OS X 10.7 or above, you can change the admin password by restarting holding the Command and R keys, from the menu bar select Utilities, then Terminal. When the Terminal window opens, at the cursor type exactly:
resetpassword
and press Enter. When the Reset Password window opens, select the internal hard drive, and then the user account. Type a new password twice, leave the Hint blank, and then Save. Accept the next dialog that opens, and at the bottom of the Reset Password window agree to resetting the home directory permissions.
Quit the Reset Password window, go to the apple left side of the menu bar, Restart.
And you have a new password for your account. -
I have several calendars on my iCloud, and I want to share 3 of them with my wife. I am using Safari 6.0 on Mountain Lion (10.8), and when I go to my calendars on iCloud, I see all of the calendars listed in the left column. The three I want to share already have an active Share icon (green), although I do not recall sharing these calendars in the past.
When I click on the Share icon beside each Calendar, it shows that the calendar is shared with myself. There is NO OPTION in this window for unsharing, or adding my wife to the share, or making them a Public or Private Calendar. The only option is a check box that allows me to decide whether to receive emails alerts when something is changed.
I currently see all of my iCloud Calendars on my iPhone, iPad, and Mac Powerbook (running Mountain Lion). I share them with no one else. I have three Calendars that I do not want to share, and they have the options described in the Online Support, but the three I want to share with her give me NO OPTIONS.I should clarify that I am using a MacBook Pro, not Powerbook (if that's the proper nomenclature).

I recently downloaded the latest version (15.0.1) of Firefox for my Mac. When i click on the Firefox icon, i get a display "Important Torbutton Information". It states "Torbutton is now always enabled. Click on the Torbutton for more information". I click on OK. I then get a display that states "THE PROXY SERVER IS REFUSING CONNECTIONS". I believe that i have two problems. 1. How do i fix the Proxy Server.
(2) How do i access Torbutton?

You cannot.
When you sync to a new library, it will erase the current content.
Use your backup copy of the old computer to copy everything to the new one. -
Seeing multiple iPhoto libraries when I click on the iPhoto icon in the dock?
I can't figure out why I am seeing multiple iPhoto libraries when I click on the iPhoto icon in my dock. I am running Lion on an early 2008 MacBook Pro (4 GB RAM), and when I click and hold on the iPhoto icon in the dock, it brings up a dialog box. From top to bottom, this is what I see:

I can't figure out why it shows three iPhoto libraries when I only have one on my computer. I've tried deleting the icon from the dock and then putting it back in the dock, but it still shows three libraries for some reason. If I search for iPhoto in spotlight search or in finder, it only shows one iPhoto (in the applications folder). Any help on how to resolve this weird issue would be much appreciated!I have the same issue. I see four iPhoto libraries when I right click on the iPhoto icon in the dock, but I only actually have two libraries. The other two simply do not exist on my computer. And when I click on the libraries that do not exist, obviously nothing happens. In the image, only the bottom two libraries are actual photo libraries. The top two do not exist.
I have relaunched Finder, restarted the computer, and even restored the entire computer from my Time Machine backup. Nothing changes. No matter what I try, the non existent iPhoto libraries continue to be present when I right click the iPhoto icon in the dock. BTW, there are only two iPhoto libraries in the pictures folder.
This is very frustrating and annoying. -
