Screen is blinking to black all of the time, it comes back but is constantly going black

I downloaded the updated firefox. since then the screen is blinking to black screen. At first, only every now and then, now all the time.

Are your Mission Control keyboard shortcuts being accidently pressed? Go to the System Preferences in the Apple menu to ensure you aren't pressing keyboard or trackpad shortcuts you aren't aware of.

The sleepimage file still reappears even if never slept. Delete it (hibernate off, etc) - within minutes its back.

I somehow set my toolbar to disappear after a few seconds, making the screen jump, very annoying, how do I set it back so it stays visible all of the time?

I can't remember where I found the option to make the toolbar invisible until I moved my cursor to where the toolbar usually shows. If I move the cursor again, after a few seconds the toolbar disappears causing the screen to jump up and fill in the space where it was. It is so irritating and I can't find out how to make it visible all of the time.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

When I load Safari on my IPAD2, the web page comes up, but I can't scroll down the page. No matter what web page I go to the content stays darker than the navigation bar. This just started today. All other applications work fine.

If it's happening on all sites, then assuming that it's Safari that you're using, have you tried clearing it's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (other browsers should have similar options, possibly within the actual app instead of within Settings). You could also try closing the app completely : from the home screen double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app (or whichever browser you're using) to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
If it's only happening on a particular site then there may be content on that site that isn't supported on the iPad e.g. flash, java, silverlight

Flash CS5 / CS5.5 crashes when importing images, and all of the time

Hi.
I started working on an animation file in Flash recently. It was ok at first, but now it crashes all of the time. It crashes almost 100% of the time when I try to import a sequence of jpegs, but it also seems to crash for no reason at all - when I click on a frame in the timeline, or when I move forward/back through frames on the timeline.
This happened when I was using CS5, so I installed my upgrade copy of 5.5, and that didn't help. I upgraded my computer from 32bit XP to 64bit Window7. I'm now running a fresh install of CS5.5 on a fresh install of Windows 7. It still crashes exactly the same.
I got an error log when I installed the programs. I don't know if it is related. It looks like this:

5.1.1 is the highest iOS that an iPad 1 can run. If the iPad is crashing, try a reset (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if the crashing issue is resolved.

Thunderbird is a great asset to my boss and I. We use Thunderbird all the time and love it, but for about a week it constantly goes into "not responding mode". My boss uses the same service at home with no problem at all.
I did an "safe mode" and restart and for a few minutes I thought it was "healed". However, I did a search and the same thing started happening again. The little blue ring starts spinning and "not responding" pops up above the toolbar. Sometime the screen fades to a sort of greyish and no mouse click are responded to, even to close Thunderbird.
Please help however you can. Our office number is 512.246.3995.

The debate is as old as computers themselves.    The most important thing to remember, is lightning is a machine's worst enemy, and no surge protector can defend against all lightning strikes. As the proverbial Clint Eastwood said: "Do you feel lucky today?"
Look at your energy usage on your electric bill on a similar month weather wise with and without the computer on all the time.
See if you can run with Energy Saver on without freezes, as many third party devices don't support Apple's low power mode.
Once a month it is good to run in Screen Saver instead of Energy Saver as cleaning up happens on the system upon wakeup from sleep, or in the middle of the night if only Screen Saver or nothing is running but applications.   Energy Saver delays that cleanup. You can get Macjanitor or Anacron to run that cleanup when you want.

Try resetting the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons until the Apple Logo appears on the screen. Ignore the red slider if it shows up. You will lose no data.

Are you referring to @mac.com, @me.com or @icloud.com emails? Or some other email providers emails?
If the former, it should do that automatically. If the latter, no. iCloud does not (nor is it supposed to) sync non-Apple provided emails.

There's no such file in Mac OS X version of Skype. But there's a directory for your Skype user account in /Users/%current_user_name%/Library/Application Support/Skype/
try:
quitting Skype
renaming old folder
signing into the Skype
