Screen is going out.

October 2007 i purchased a MacBook Pro. Since that time ive have not one problem with this computer until here about 5 months ago. Every time i would move my lid the screen would flicker like a bad connection. well it has gotten so bad that i have to have a clothes pin on the side of my screen to make the display work. After two upgrades(one being the hard drive) i feel pretty confident in myself to replace the screen but i dont know what model of screen is on this computer. I know i want a matte screen as i work a considerable amount outside. Is there a way to tell what screen is best? i know my resolution right now is 1440x900 but is it a WXGA, WsXGA+, WUXGA, or WXGA+ type of screen?

Screen is going out + Random Software Glitch?

My screen is about to go out on my new 32GB 3GS. Every once and awhile when I lock the phone, I'll go to unlock it and the screen will be almost completely black. If I proceed to unlocking it while its almost completely black the brightness setting does nothing! I have to relock the phone and then unlock it to get my brightness back. It's so weird.
Also, my screen shakes a lot. When sending a text while trying to scroll up through the previous messages my texts will process to shake very violently on the screen. When scrolling through my apps I get this every once and awhile and it gets annoying.
I already set my appointment to the genious bar tommorow to get a new phone, I was wondering if anyone else was having these problems?
Why hasnt Apple switched to LED lighting for the phones? It's in their new laptops.

I believe your visit with the Apple Genius will be productive. And another thing... this phone is so new that I doubt they have "reconditioned" units to provide as swap-outs. If they provide you a replacement chances are it'll be another new phone

Access to iCloud goes out daily for the evening - but I still have all other internet functioning

For the last 4 days, @ about 5 pm Norwegian time, I have no access to my Mail, Cal, or iCloud even in Safari. Gmail functions. Skype functions, all other internet use functions. The same happens on my other devices and also to other iCloud users in the house. (we are not on family sharing) This happens only on our home wifi network. We are on a satellite wifi. Any ideas?
It is very frustrating -
The service seems to resume around 4 am in the morning.

If the phone is not currently activated on your line, there is no warranty. Warranty does not cover damage anyhow, you would need insurance for this. You can take it to one of those cell phone repair companies and have them fix it for you, but those are quite pricey.
Also, I'm pretty sure you can't use WiFi on a phone that is not activated.

Let the battery fully darain. After charging for an least an hour try a reset and restore. Use Recovery mode if necessary.
If not successful, then time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

What do you mean by 'out of sync'?
Try running the 'kickstart' using Send UNIX Command or while logged in to that server (ssh etc):
sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/k ickstart -restart -agent -menu -console
You might also want to trash /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist from the server..

Screen on my Mac Book Pro goes out randomly when I touching trackpad.

The screen on my Mac Book Pro goes out randomly when I touch my trackpad. Every time the screen shuts off, I have to restart my computer so the screen will turn on again and it's driving me nuts.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and a solution?

You can blank the monitor using those keys, that's likely what you did, it's a feature.

Try doing a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it restarts, ignoring the red slider if that appears.
If that does not help, take the iPad to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs check out the screen to see if there is a hardware fault.

Screen goes out when cover opened

I have a white Macbook. When I open the cover the screen goes out unless it is held at a certain angle.

It's one of four things and the liklihood in this order:
1) Inverter Cable
2) Inverter
3) Screen
4) Logic Boarad
If you're Macbooks under warranty take it to an Apple Certified Technician (Apple Store) and have them take a look at it. If not, and you can't afford to repair it, you're welcome to take a gander at repairing those parts. If you have the time, and can figure it out, try opening up the chasis reconnecting to cables to the monitor, as on some laptops they're taped on and eventually come lose.
This will likely void any active warranty.

Main screen going out

Does anyone have a constant problem with the main screen going out during usage or calls?? If so how do you fix it ?

During calls it is designed to go off. Otherwise you'd be pushing buttons with your face.
You can also adjust the screen timeout in the settings menu.

Power keeps going out, screen/audio gone

For the past three weeks the power to the box has been going out. I'll be watching a show for five minutes and then black screen. It doesn't seem to matter if I just turn it on or if I've been watching it for awhile. The power completely shuts off and I have to select menu on the remote where it takes a minute to download and set up the box again. I am beyond frustrated. It happens all day and multiple times in one sitting. Even while I'm watching roku through my HIM1 I see the lights turn off on my box and reset itself when I'm not watching the tv. I have checked the cables. Unplugged and plug back in. Made sure the cords aren't twisted. I don't get it.
How can I fix this problem?

Replace the box. You can easily do it via the box, online, or at a store.

LED screen goes out when in use

Lately, my ibook screen suddenly goes dark while in use. It seems to be random, not linked to any certain behavior.
Anyone else having this problem?

Does adjusting the angle, opening it or closing it a bit, make a difference?
You could try resetting the PMU. The PMU (Power Management Unit) has control over the backlight, so resetting it may help.
