Screen is incredibly glitchy

I just got this phone two days ago, and it keeps getting worse.
My screen will not allow me to usr crrtain keys and I have to rely on auto correct to type.
Three's little consistency and it dowa this whenever it feels like it, which is becoming more frequent.

Have you followed the basic troubleshooting steps outlined in the manual - http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/iPhone_iOS4_UserGuide.pdf

  • Hp control zone trackpad incredibly glitchy

Hi. I recently bough an HP Envy m6-n012dx laptop. Not long after using it the Control Zone Trackpad began to be incredibly glitchy. Everytime i would move the mouse, it would jump randomly across the screen. The left side of the track pad that is supposed to allow you to switch between your open apps sometimes stops working then starts to work again then would stop working for no reason. Same with the right side that shows the start button, search button, settings button etc. To make things worse; sometimes the mouse would begin to move slowly across the screen without me even touching the track pad. I try downloading the most recent synaptics driver and afterwards the trackpad worked for a little while, then went haywire again. Not only is the trackpad messed up but sometimes my touch screen doesnt work. For instance, my touch screen currently isnt working as im typing this. What do i have to do to solve the problem, because i really like this laptop when everything is working fine

Attention, HP Support Agents. I have the same model HP Envy m6-n012dx laptop that I purchased less than 2 weeks ago from Best Buy and I'm experiencing the same issues. I've performed a hard reset of the laptop, a system restore to the day I purchased it, updated synaptics drivers, uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, BIOS update, changed sensitivity settings on touchpad - but it all leads to the same result. The cursor jumps around and behaves erratically on the screen, even if you reboot it and start using it again, after about 15-20 minutes (or sooner) it starts acting up again.  What is the solution or verdict on this issue, as it's easy to see that there are literally hundreds of consumers that have purchased HP Envy laptops with a Control Zone touchpad from Synaptics having this exact same issue? Is there a way that someone at HP can grab one of their laptops, recreate the issue, troubleshoot and provide a solution for it?? I'm sure I echo the same sentiment as most of these other forum subscribers when I say that I feel like I'm wasting my time here. I'm asking for help and either getting an auto-response "update your drivers" answer, or not receiving help at all. I'm NOT purchasing a mouse as an alternative solution. Either there's a fix for this, or I'll return my laptop to Best Buy, as I'm still within their 15-day return policy window, and purchase an ASUS or DELL Laptop instead. I've never experienced such a huge annoyance with an HP product as this and from what I've seen on all of my forum searches, HP has no solution for it. I've also spoken with HP Total Care, and guess what their solution was? Take it back to Best Buy and get a replacement HP Envy .... seriously?  Please provide an update as soon as possible. This has gone on long enough.

  • ZTE OPEN C - FIREFOX OS v1.3 - When on the browser, why is the screen unresponsive and glitchy sometimes?

This has occurred many times. When on the browser, it just flips out and the browser is then unusable until I hold down the menu and quit the application OR unless I restart the phone.
This also happens on other applications such as Facebook.
Is there a reason for it?

  • Macbook pro screen freezing/flickering   peripheral failure

    Hey guys
I use my Macbook Pro both at home for music production and live as an instrument. Recently I have been having problems, but for some reason these have never materialised at home - only in the live situation. I shall try to give as much info as possible, but I'm no use with Macs having been raised with windows machines.
    Mac OS X 10.6.8
2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    4GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
I have around 13GB free HD space
It is second hand and therefore I have no idea about warranty. I have had the machine for over a year.
    I THINK it's a 2008 17" model, although I am not sure.
    Peripherals at home:
    Digidesign Mbox 2 - USB
    USB Mouse (third party)
    M audio Oxygen 8 V2 keyboard - USB
HD TV as a second screen - DVI - VGA adapter
    Live:
Novation Nio 2|4 uadio interface - USB
    Novation Launchpad - USB
    M audio Oxygen 8 V2 - USB
(Software wise I a running ableton 8 suite with izotope stutter edit. I average about 6% cpu usage)
Recently, my audio interfaces have begun to fail, but only in the live environment. I can switch the Mbox for the Nio at home and there are no problems whatsoever. 2 shows in a row this had failed, so I made sure to test all the equipment extensively. After 2 days of using the Nio as my soundcard using a different USB cable and slot, I assumed the problem was fixed.
On friday night we were playing a show, and mid set the screen froze with glitchy sections - looked like someone had broken the matrix. The screen began flickering in and out very fast in a strobe like fashion. My peripherals were still working fine, so I continued with the show in the hope that I could just control the session from them. Moments later, the audio failed, ad the system eventually cut out. I attempted to buy time and boot up again, but the same thing happened almost instantly.
Now that i've had a chance to get home and try it out, it has been working for hours at a time until eventually doing the same thing. I have found that most the time my usb mouse will remain responsive, yet I am unable to click on anything. Again, the sound generally keeps working, but one by one the peripherals fail. The screen flickering has only been temporary in the home setting, and does not sustain throughout the failure.
I'm generally poor with electronics, but the general consensus seems to be that it may be some kind of electro magnetism/static/I don't know effecting it live? I have never had a single problem with the machine until now. These failures have occured both running on battery and from mains power.

You may be right that a part of the problem is due to external electro-magnetic interference, but could also be heat build up, and the fact that at home it runs for hours before an issue starts, heat is probably a part of the problem.  If you can, stop by an Apple store genius bar and let the techs run some diagnostics, explain what is happening and see if they can isolate the issue.  You may want to leave it with them for a few hours and let it sit there and run to see if heat is an issue.

  • White screen not of death...

I just understood that I could possibly get answers for my problem here aand not on the syncing section...
"one day out of no where my screen becomes blue sky-ish on all the white writting or color on my screen... It was kind of annoying so I tried lightly pressing my screen but then the screen went all glitchy then the screen degraded then all white. I tried Restoring and Rebooting my iPod.
I dropped twice or trice but not higher than 30 cm off the floor... So is it my fault or is there something wrong my iPod 4th Gen.?
Oh and I took really good care of my iPod! My mom is ganna kill me if something is wrong about my iPod so I need a solution for this problem fast, unless it's a hardware problem?
Oh and I didnt jailbreak my iPod and I dont intend to."

More problems: I cant sync my iPod and each time I open iTunes, all my songs are deleted for some reason.

If a restore didn't help, it sounds like either the screen or logic board is bad.

  • Iphone Screen Flicker Glitch

    Hi,
Recently, I've been experiencing an issue with my iPhone 5 that hasn't happened for the first month I've had it.
Two days ago, I was playing a game, when suddenly the screen dimmed and blacked out, and then showed a blank white screen with black glitchy lines all over it.  I pressed the home button and it got me out of it.  Today, it happened twice with two other apps.  The glitch also comes in the form of the screen flickering on and off really fast with strange colors and lines.
Is this a software or hardware issue?  Is there a fix?
By the way, this is NOT the keyboard flicker issue that others have had.
    Thanks,
    Jeremy

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore

  • Why is scrolling in screen sharing so laggy under 10.9.3

Using a Mac mini running 10.9.3 as a TV computer, controlling it through Screen Sharing from my Macbook also running 10.9.3 over a WiFi network. Scrolling is just crazy in Screen Sharing - incredibly laggy, with what looks like tons of unnecessary inertia. What's going on? I've tried the fixes like "always show scrollbars" and setting the computer to never go to sleep, with no effect. I'm laying this squarely at Apple's feet for now.

Open the Library folder in your home folder by holding down the option key and selecting
              Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. Navigate in the usual way to each of the following items and move it to the Trash:
              Application Support/NotificationCenter
              Caches/com.apple.Safari/RemoteNotifications
              Caches/SafariNotificationAgent
              Safari/RemoteNotifications/Permissions.plist
Log out or restart the computer. Test.

  • Screen dim while watching movie

I haven't found a definitive reason for this really irritating behaviour.
When watching a movie on my G4 Powerbook the Apple keeps dimming the screen. Incredibly annoying to have to tap the trackpad every couple of minutes.
From what I have read - and it's not much - I finally figured out that to stop this I need to go to the Energy Saver settings and uncheck "Automatically reduce the brightness of the display before display sleep."
    Wow. That was obvious....
My question though is much simpler.
Who on earth would design a system that dims the screen while a movie is playing? I can't conceive of any situation during which I would launch a movie and prefer to have it dim.
Shouldn't the screen default to not dimming when a movie is being played?

    Hi Barry,
Of course, and this is a case of sending Feedback...
My workaround: Active Screen Corners (in System Preferences > Exposé). I have one assigned to Disable Screen Saver, and I leave the mouse pointer on it when watching a movie.

  • Photoshop 7 suddenly acting glitchy/crashing

I've had Photoshop 7 for years and since last year have been running it on Windows 7 in compatability mode with no problems until a few days ago. It was acting incredibly glitchy and slow and I reset preferences and that seemed to work, but I still have problems like getting "photoshop cannot complete request because of a programming error" and then the program freezes or cashes when using the paintbucket tool.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program and it doesn't help even after clearing the registry entires.
Any ideas? I really don't want to have to purchase a new program because this one does everything I need.

    jaspergretsch wrote:
The thing I really don't understand is how I can't uninstall the program completely no matter what I do or what programs I use to help. Every time I reinstall all my preferences are the same (the windows are all where  I had them etc.). So maybe i need to uninstall AND wipe preferences?
As you have found, uninstalling (in the time of Photoshop 7) did NOT include removal of preferences or files not created by the installer, such as those that store the locations of your last used dialogs.
It's no less than a failure of Adobe's installer writers to provide you the ability, in their installer package, to do a FULL uninstall.  They have overcome this largely with newer versions via the "Creative Suite Complete Removal Tool", though even that still has some blind spots.
To be fair, most applications don't bother to fully remove themselves, and I consider it a failure of the software development industry to focus on anything other than the prize ("sell it and forget the customer").  It IS possible to do; it's just laziness that it is not done.
There might be those who would say, "but I wouldn't want to necessarily lose my preferences on an uninstall / reinstall", for which I would answer:  So have the installer writers provide an option checkbox (as seen in modern versions) to allow the user to select to remove preferences - or not.
Jasper, check Windows Update for any recent driver updates you might have received.  You might be able to overcome driver problems (such as those that may be behind your Bucket Fill Tool crash) by downloading even newer drivers directly from the web site of the manufacturer of your video card (rather than through the Microsoft WHQL process).

  • What happens when your iphone 4s is glitched, as in it won't work? The screen is blue and black and you cannot see the lockscreen?

Okay, so my friend accidently hit my iPhone out of my hand and it landed on its screen when it fell. I was wondering if Apple could repair it? The screen is all glitchy, you can only see a huge blue streak with a black background. You can't see the "need to be charged" symbol. Does this happen usually? I'm really worried because I do not want to waste money and buy another phone. Anyone know any trouble shooting or things I could do that might work to get the screen back to the way it was?

    Hello 23435,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that your iPhone was knocked out of your hand and now it displays blue and black colors on the display. It does sound like this iPhone may need to be evaluated for service. If you would like more information about this process, please refer to the attached web link below.

  • Motion 5 glitching screen when exporting

I was exporting a color corrected shot from motion, when the screen went bezerk. The progress bar said the export was about halfway done, when it suddenly glitched the whole screen into this glitchy, pixely purple wavy thing! Heres a picture to tell you where I'm coming from:
Part of the progress bar was still visible, and I managed to click different parts of the screen, which opened different menues, where I finally managed to force quit motion. But I tried a few more times, along with restarting the computer, but it always seems to glitch when I export. plus, if I let the export finish, the finished export is all glitchy too!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!! I have a late 2006 imac, with isight, and 2.5 gb of RAM, and a outdated memorycard??

I think that may be your problem.  According to this, that doesn't look to be a supported graphics card: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4664.

  • Help!! Extremely Dim Screen!

Recently, when I turn on my Mac, the screen goes on for maybe 1-2 seconds then goes extremely dim, almost off, I can only just barely see it, is there a way I can fix this, it just happened one night for no apperent reason, any suggestions, Thanks!!!

I'm having a similar problem on my PB G4 15". The screen is incredibly dim (I can faintly make out images but not enough to work on it -- I've had to use another machine for this post).
However, what I don't get is this: if I restart the PB, I get the greeting sign, and my destop picture comes up, and then before my desktop files appear, the screen goes dim.
Previously, I had done the infamous Icelandic "hinge repair" that I read about here, but the epoxy'd screen never really was perfect after that. And I'm using a big binder clip to hold the screen and hinge together. That's worked for over a year.
I can only use A/C power because my machine dies straightaway using its battery.
I hope this isn't too much of a pain to repair, could it be the inverter board as other similar problems that are alike would seem to suggest?
I was hoping not to have to buy another laptop for a year or two or even three, but I console myself with the fact that the new MacBook is "only" US$1000, even if the screen is only 13"
Any insight into the "dim screen problem" would be much appreciated.

  • Pixelated glichy screen

Hey ... had this happen a couple times.  Have dual displays (iMac main screen and cinema display the other).
Happened while rendering video, not sure if its a video card problem or what?  Screen goes all glitchy and pixelated like snow on a TV screen just blocky?  I've attached a screen shot for you to see.
    Any ideas?

  • Switching users causes screen display issues

I've had a new MacBook Pro 2011 that came with Lion on it. It's been working well, I migrated my old user accounts from my previous MacBook with Snow Leopard on it.
After having it a few weeks my son tried using the fast user switching and going into his account but the screen was exteremly glitchy. It basically show what looked like my users screen and would erase and paint with his correct screen as he dragged windows around. Eventually his screen would like correct then spontantously revert to showing my screen again.
Fast user switching back to my account showed everything correctly. Logging us both out and logging him in alone works fine. Logging him in first and then switching to my user gives me the problem he experienced of seeing mostly his screen and having to drag screens around causing re-painting to show my proper screen.
Screen refresh issue aside if we can work through messed up screens the computer appears to be working fine, apps launch properly and no sign of any memory or file corruption, everything "works" properly.
I tried completely removing and re-creating his account but the problem remains.
Couple of factors in case they are relevant.
    1) We upgraded the HDD to a SDD but it shows not signs of any issues
    2) We upgraded the memory beyond the normal limit of 8gb to 16gb using a Cruicial memory kit certified for the MacBook Pro.
    3) We have both the laptop screen 1680x1050 running and an attached thunderbolt display AND a usb DisplayLink adapter to a 3rd Dell 1600x1200 monitor.
My intial thoughts were with the DisplayLink adapter. I made sure to get the latest drivers from the display link web site and did some searches but no one has described my problem.
The screen issue seems to present itself mainly on the "main monitor" the 27" thunderbolt display but we have seen some screen corruption on the MacBook LCD. Oddly the DisplayLink always appears correct.
    Anyone have any ideas?
      System Version:          Mac OS X 10.7.3 (11D50b)
      Kernel Version:          Darwin 11.3.0

      Secure Virtual Memory:          Enabled
      64-bit Kernel and Extensions:          Yes

As a followup. Experimenting seems to suggest that removing the driver for DisplayLink cures the issue. Going to test more with reinstalling the driver and just unplugging the USB cable before switching.
Was also seeing (before uninstall) issues with getting a Beach Ball freeze during logout of the 2nd user.
I want to be certain of if it's the DisplayLink driver but once I am certain I'll take my gripe to their support forum.

  • My wacom tablet won't work with CC photoshop any more.

Over the past 3 days my tablet has become incredibly glitchy in CC. I'm on a Mac and I use an Intous 5 large tablet. I've tried everything recommended through the wacom site. I've reinstalled my drivers, updated my computer....ect.
There where issues prior to this but not as bad. I use dual screens and when I move out of cc and scroll onto my other screen, when I come back to photoshop it takes a while to react to my pen.
