Screen is negative

My screen is negative. Black is white, white is black, and all the colors are light a photograph negative. Turning phone on and off does not help and I did not see anything in setting to help.

Look closer... you have one of the Accessibility features turned on. From the manual...
White on Black
Use White on Black to invert the colors on the iPhone display, which may make it easier to read the screen. The screen looks like a photographic negative when White on Black is turned on.
Invert the screen’s colors: In Settings, choose General > Accessibility and tap the “White on Black” switch.

  • How to display the screen in negative?

    Hi,

My graphics card is a Nvidia (proprietary driver) and I use LXDE with OpenBox, but I don’t really know at which level I have to search.

You might be able to do this with one of the fancier windows managers (compiz perhaps).

  • My iphone 4 screen looks negative

My iphone 4 screen looks negative, when i take a screenshot its normal. I have had the screen replaced because i shattered my screen last year. I have also had the motherboard replaced in the phone a few weeks back. It is not doing this because of white on black or inverted colors. i think it might be a hardware problem. If anyone else has had the problem please share your info. I just woke up and it was messed up the night before it was perfect, i didnt drop it or get it wet either before it happened. I have had ios 7 since May so I dont think its because of that either. Thanks!

no that didnt work my screen isnt on negative, it also gets alot of white lines across the screen when the brightness is all the way up ): thank you for your help!

  • Today my iphone 4s screen turned negative.

Today all of a sudden my 4S screen turned negative and it's not inverted colours as I already tried to turn it off and on. It hasn't recently gotten wet so I don't really understand what's happened. Has anyone got any clue what might have happened?

The shortcut is to System Preferences> Universal Access under the Seeing tab. You have no idea how many posters here have cats that seem to manage to hit just those keys walking over the keyboard!

  • Why does my powerbook screen go negative, then rain pixels

So this has been happening for a bit now. My room mate turns on his computer and the screen is fine. After about 15 miuntes the screen image basically goes negative for a minute or so. After that little pixels begin to rain down until the entire screen is pixelated.
When it is pixelated I can use an external monitor to view my desktop perfectly, which eliminates the graphics card as the issue in my opinion.
Has anyone ran into this issue before, or know someone who has?
I feel as though he may have himself a very portable desktop now.

Boot in safe mode and try to recreate the issue and report here.

  • Screen displaying negative image

My 3 year old was hitting buttons on my laptop, I walked over to remove him and my screen is a complete negative image of what is being displayed. I am sure it was just a combination of buttons hit but I have no idea how to revert it. Anyone??? Anyone???? Tried looking under system preferences but nothing... have no idea how to fix.

I did a little searching. for anyone else who encounters the problem hit Control, Option, Command, then 8. it will switch it back to normal.

    Hi
it sounds as if the keyboard shortcuts for the some of the Universal Access settings got pressed.
Select System Preferences from the Apple menu and click on the Universal Access icon. On the Seeing tab, check the Voice Over and Display settings are correct (off and black on white).

  • Screen turned negative

The screen on my 3GS running iOS4 just turned negative. Everything- home screen, wall paper, apps, photos- all appear as negatives. I reset and when it starts up it's OK, but during startup it changes to negative.Thoughts?

This feature is found in the accessibility settings under
Settings > general > accessibility > white on black
toggle this on and off as you see fit.

  • BCM CTD Agent View Screen reflects negative time under field Duration.

    Good day
When going to the BCM volume 6 report (1/4 hour report) it reflects that there were no
Contact Centre activities /calls for that period.
The same activities for that period will then populate at a later time slot i.e. after

  • HELP My monitor shows up as negative screen

I don't know how it happened but pretty much everything shows up negative
when I turn it on it's fine but as soon as I log in it shows up normal and 2 or 3 seconds later the screen goes negative
    Can Anyone help me?

I'm going to go with Haribol on this one. When you said "negative", I thought of the key combo to do just that... but from the way you described the problem... especially the part about it being normal for a few seconds... it sounds like you may have gone into Universal Access and accidentally switched it on. There is also a contrast slider... which by default is all the way to the maximum side. If you're not set to black and white, you should be able to slide the slider all the way to the left to get back to normal. I turned on Universal Access once and had the same problem. I didn't make any changes to the settings at all... but it seems that the default is to max out the contrast which give your screen something that can look like a negative. If you reboot, everything will appear normal until Universal Access starts up (within a few seconds of your login).

  • Negative Screen with fuzz lines

So i looked through all the negative screen answers but they didn't seem like quite the right fit.
phone was dropped off a chairlift in december. found in june. worked just fine for a few days then...
been downloading apps from the app store like crazy. downloaded one game (fish tycoon free) and was playing it, it had an option to use as a screensaver so i did it. a few minutes later i went to show my friend how hooked i am on downloading crap and the screen was negative with glitchy fuzz lines going across right to left in random locations. it's possible that i hit the home button three times like everybody else has but those lines are what's really getting me. i don't believe that even after the trauma it has endured that the phone would just crap out like that. any thoughts?
my friend reset the system which didn't help but he said it was going to erase everything that was on the phone. i'm not too concerned but how to i get everything back that i had previously downloaded? is it saved somewhere on my itunes profile?

i had thought that initially also but i thought it could be something different since it was working for 7 days before it did this.
