Screen isn't working, but the ipod does!

the screen is totally black with a lime green line and a blue line next to it on the left side.
i click menu a lot..scroll down four times and press the center button to shuffle my music.
to switch to the next song i have to press the next button like 5 times.
i can use it fine that way, but i cant view anything at all.
is there anyway i can fix the screen?
its not cracked, broken or leaking.

I have the old Classic Nano Ipod and I was having the same problem. The display had actually frozen on the song that had been playing. I could fast forward to the next song and rewind to the previous song, but I could not see what was happening. I tried what you said, *+"Try a reset (flip the hold switch on and off, then hold the Menu and Center buttons one finger on one button, one on the other for 6-8 seconds http://the Apple logo should appear, but this might not be an option for you.)"+ It worked!! My classic Ipod Nano display is working just fine now. I guess I can cancel my appoint with the "Genius" at the Apple Store. You're awesom!! Thanks So Much!!

Let me know the steps to resolve the issue!

Check System Preferences > Network > active connection > Proxies tab. Are there proxy servers enabled? If you aren't behind a proxy server (which you probably aren't), uncheck those boxes. (Firefox bypasses the OS's proxy settings, so it's not affected by those settings.)

Curve 8520 screen isn't working, but everything else is.

All night my curve has been making the noise when you put the charger inside and pull it out.
I woke up this morning and the screen was white, but the led was still working which meant i had a text.
I pressed jut about everything and the screen wasn't changing so I took the battery out for 30 seconds, put it back in, waited for the device to re-boot and it turned on, the keyboard lit up, the LED was working and it made the noise when it was turned on.
I tried this process again but with the charger plugged in and it still wasn't working.
If anyone knows how to resolve this it would be a great help

You held down the home & power buttons until the Apple logo appeared? This could take as long as 30 seconds or more.

Itunes comes up an the store works but the library does not

tried to update itunes that failed,, have uninstalled an reinstalled,, itunes wont come up,, when i use a restore point to go to an older version itunes comes up,, but,,, the store works,, when i try to go to my library it is stuck on my movies,, if i try to change to something else it shuts down,, i searxh my music on the toolbar but when i click on my music itunesshuts down,, afraid to plug my phone into it so not sure how that will work

Gave it a look, tried all the troubleshooting. My IP addresses are the same, so now I really don't understand. I'm just super confused. If it hadn't ever worked, I would just write it off as my university network being too strict... but now that it has worked once and really... nothing changed... I am just very confused.

A recording that works but the lsmw does not

I have created a recording of the process which successfully changes the collection specialist in the collections managemenet role in the BP transaction.
When I process data using this recording in lsmw the batch runs fine and tells me that all transactions processed successfully. However on checking the business partners none of the changes have in fact saved.
Running the batch in foreground flows exactly the same as performing the manual change with the exception that there is no success message at the botton of the screen after the save button is pressed.
Has anyone seen this behaviour before and know how to get the transactions to save correctly in SM35?

Hi Rahul,
I have recorded transaction BP. I just noticed too that in fact the last transaction always saves to the database, but all transactions before that report as running fine in SM35 but in fact make no change. In lsmw when you look at the process log all the "BP nnnnn was changed" messages refer to the bp in the last transaction!!

Hello, I believe that is the case when the Display is "Mirrored"... how else could it be? You can't change the Rez or Depth of one without the other, can't drag the MenyBar/Dock to the other one!
If they are Extended Displays, they do show up as separate ones.
They're essentially one Monitor when Mirrored.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Hi i woke up three days ago to my iphone 4s not working, assuming it had no charge i plugged it in and fully charged the battery.
when i returned the screen was still black, but the phone was functioning (ringing and accepting text messages etc)...
The screen has been blank since and have tried things like restoring and hard resets, but this has not worked. a very very vague image appears when in use but it is almost impossible to see.
Can anybody suggest a way to maybe fix this issue if it is possible?
If it is not possible would i be entitled to a replacement or free repairs as I have had the phone less than 1 year and should still qualify for the warranty?
Any help with this problem would be much appreciated.

Make an appointment at the genius bar and get the phone replaced. It sounds like the backlight has failed.
If it's under warranty, there will be no charge so long as the phone isn't physically damaged.
