Screen issue 27" Imac

i have a 27" imac and for a few weeks the bottom left corner was flickering lighter and darker. it has now just started to be darker than the rest of the screen. its like the back light has gone. if i turn the brightness down and then back up i have normal lighting for a second or two but then it changes again. anyone else had this issue or know what i can do?

I agree with AnaMusic, contact AppleCare or better yet, take it into your service provider or Apple store for servicing. The symptom you described makes it sound like your backlight LED's on the left side are flickering on/off for some reason. It could be a problem with the LCD, a poor connection between the LCD and backlight controller, or the backlight controller PCB that drives the LED's.

  • Screen issue with imac

I just got today a brand new i7 and as always I noticed that the screen has a yellowish edge, I am not satisfied with it , and I think that a computer that costs more than 2000$ should be perfect, I love mac but recently they are failing to deliver the right quality...

I agree Beddo, my thoughts exactly.
I guess you've also read the difficulties I'm having with Apple and their local retailer...

I actually had to post this twice ... it was pulled from the forum the first time. So I've reposted and so far it had remained, although I changed it setting to "not a question"
I'm really quite ****** off with Apple. A repair that should've been done in less than a week has now gone on for almost 3 months. I don't believe I now have to take this to court, for something so trivial (trivial for Apple). A great way to treat a disabled pensioner with a severe chronic anxiety condition :/
Oh well, it's their loss more than mine.

  • Screen on 20" Imac...a few issues

    Hi,
I see a number of notes about screen issues on 20" new intel iMac...I've had few issues so thought I start a new thread...First, I had the buzzing when brightness was all or most all the way up...Brought it into a authorized Mac repair place and they replaced the video (inverter or card or?)as well as the screen...not sure why they replaced the screen honestly...Now I've noticed a few new issues. I first noticed that my desktop background was visible, a little dimmer but visible, on the top apple bar that should be just white with black menu items...And I have also noticed some rainbow color effects on some black type that really is disturbing as I do a lot of Word processing, depending on the angle this is better or worse or the black type appears a little blurred on some letters...Since then, I've read about 'gradient' problems and many complaints with the 20" monitors...I didn't take any notice of gradient issues, but now have looked a little closer and do notice big color changes if I am looking at screen from slight off center angles--where white goes to blue (up and down) or white goes to brown. (right and left). So after owning many macs over the past 15 years, I've never been disappointed with a screen, but surely am now...I have a mac mini with an inexpensive 19" lcd screen (Princeton brand) that doesn't have any such color changes at all...I was too late to call Apple tonight but will in the morning...Wonder if any folks have any suggestions/ideas...Honest, I'm curious if I can return or get a trade on this if the problem is widespread....Will Apple take a return...and is it better to bring to Apple Store, or to mail to Apple...I had brought it to a local reseller as the nearest Apple store is over an hour away...Thanks for any guidance.

Hello rickame, I've got the fix for your issue with the Menu Bar, goto System Preferences then Desktop & Screen Saver, at the bottom you will see a checkbox for Translucent Menu Bar, unclick it and you will have a solid Bar. Sorry but I dont have a fix for the Screen gradient problem, I have the 20" iMac and love the display myself (coming from a 15" dell display, you can see where I'm coming from).
    Hope this helps, Steve...

  • The Windows 7 Black Screen Issue

I am putting in Bootcamp with a Windows 7 install. I checked these forums and made sure I had all my prep work done.
I referenced article TS3173 and downloaded the neccessary drivers for 7, formatted a 16GB SD Card as FAT Bootable and copied the drivers and autounattend.xml files onto the root of the drive.
THe installation as going as planned but at the end I'm still ending up with a black screen. Windows is installed ok but on the restart after" Preparing for FIrst Use" comes up the screen goes black.
Obviously, the drivers are not being installed from the SD card, I tried it on a USB External driver as well. Am I missing something here? I read every post I could find on it and I can't see where I am doing anything incorrectly.
    Thanks
    Tom

You don't need Paragon or another NTFS driver. That may work (I've used it, but I was using a full hard drive anyway to begin with).

The Windows 7 installer does not include required graphics or Bluetooth drivers for this computer. To obtain the necessary drivers and resolve the issue, see this article (creating the SD card and drivers for the "black screen" issue).

  • Weird screen pattern freezes iMac, can't boot from HD or DVD

I woke up today to find the screen of my iMac black with a sparse pattern of bright pixels on it. I wasn't able to power down holding the Power buton so I unplugged it and left it for a bit before plugging back in. I was then able reboot without any problems. Then a few hours latter a weird pattern appeared across my screen, kind of rolling, animated in spots as seen here:
I powered down, started it up and the screen had this pattern on it:
It froze during startup at the point shown in the photo with the Apple logo. I powered down, unplugged, plugged back in and then tried booting up from my Snow Leopard install disc. It also froze on the logo screen. Another attempt brought up the "You need to restart your computer…" message in different languages shown here:
I figured it was having a kernel panic so I did some searching around and followed instructions on The X Lab - Resolving Kernel Panics page and Apple's Kernel Panic Troubleshooting page. I unplugged everything but my mouse (wireless keyboard) and tried booting into Safe Mode. The screen still had the same pattern but it froze again during startup, the grey progress bar having disappeared.
I can't boot from my hard drive or from a DVD and the pattern is always on screen when I turn the iMac back on. I can't run Apple Hardware Test. I'm stuck but I'm wondering if anyone knows what the cause might be or has any suggestions on how to fix it or even get it to boot up somehow.
I have TechTool Pro and a large flash drive. I'm going to try creating a bootable USB drive with Snow Leopard on it from this backup computer and try to get TechTool Pro on it as well. I'll report back but I'd really appreciate any feedback on this problem.

Some things to report. First, the night before any of this happened, I noticed the fan was running when there wasn't really any reason for it. The computer was idle, no major tasks running. I'm wondering if perhaps the videocard overheated and is causing problems. Perhaps the temperature sensors are screwed up?
Today I got a USB keyboard hooked up and reset the PRAM. Still unable to boot but the pattern on the screen did change from the mess of b&w squigglies above to vertical bars as shown here:
Trying to boot normally or in Safe Mode both result in the spinning wheel freezing and halting startup.
I found powering down then gets weird. It's like it tries to turn on again but can't after a second. Or sometimes it will and the mouse lights up, I can hear the optical drive but the screen stays dark. At that point I need to unplug and try again.
I tried booting from Snow Leopard install DVD during one of these weird cycles and could hear it trying to access the optical drive but I don't believe it even got to the chime stage.
I attempted booting from the install DVD again after unplugging. No luck there but instead of a frozen spinning wheel, it brings up the "You need to restart message…". Other methods don't do this.
Still at a loss to find a reason for this but it appears to be a hardware problem, no doubt the video card based on the screen issues. Does any of this shed any light on what the problem is or (even better) how to fix it?

  • Yellow tint! the 3rd Screen of my iMac 27, it's getting worse and worse...

Hi everyone not sure if there is anything more i could do with this, I have a 2010-13 week iMac, it came with a 'bearable' yellow tint problem from the beginning, after a hard drive failure i had to send my iMac back to Apple care, i was hoping the screen problem had been solved so I asked them to replace my screen as well, it came back with a worse panel showed much larger area of yellow tint...
Then I decided to wait for a few months until a week ago before my holiday i called for another exchange, was hoping for a perfect screen after my holiday, now holiday is over and iMac is back, just right after I pressed the power button, the start up screen with apple logo clearly tells me that i have got a even more disgusting panel - the worst of all i have to say, a new uneven shadow line on the bottom plus the usual yellower tint spreads over the middle of the screen, oh yes, they decided to make it even worse, a big dead spot as well in the corner ....
after a few hours, when i was editing a photo in Aperture, I have discovered something even more disturbing, from right edge of the screen inwards there is around 8cm wide vertical band shows obvious brighter tone than the rest of screen...
I do a lot of black & white photography plus a lot 3D graphic work, for a while I had tried to live with the yellow issue until it got really frustrating - now i have to once again arrange an exchange as this one is just unbearable!
Is this really Apple? Hard drive failed after a year and this is the 3rd screen of the iMac, and it just gets worse...
I wonder if there's anyone who had the luck to get the yellow screen replaced by a decent one?

Are you talking about a mid-2011 iMac or a 2010 iMac?
As it seems, the issue of color inconsistency of the iMac display is far from solved. Yellow tint, uneven brightness, light-leaks are very easily found even of newer models. I have a two-week-old mid-2011 27-inch iMac that I tried to replace for a new one because of yellow tint issue. It turned out that the replacement iMac had a worse screen... So I kept the first one. Not sure if the right thing to do is just get the screen replaced. It seems users have done it with no success...
So, I guess these problems are structural on the iMac line. They seem very much to be omnipresent. And I don't see Apple offering a genuine/trustworthy solution through its in-warranty support.

  • Screen Problems with iMac G5 20" (iSight)

    Hello!
I had the same problem with my iMac G5 20" (iSight) as described by Bob North Apr. 18, 2006 at http://www.macintouch.com/readerreports/imacg5/topic2276.html#apr25:
"""" I repair Apple products, and recently I've seen strange and erratic display problems with the G5 flat-panel (iSight) 17" and 20"...and I am very curious about the origin. The picture will display what I will call "plaid pixles". Upon boot, the dispaly appears normal, but within 5-10 minutes, either at desktop or in ASD, the normal display will "crash" to the "plaid" display. The desktop, or whatever, can still be distinguished in the background, but it is overwashed by the plaid patterns -- which do change slightly, and also cover the full space of the screen. I've seen different scenarios, 3 in 2 weeks, where the symptom is exhibited with no particular failure pattern -- both before and after repair. I've replaced the main logic on one occasion, with no fix...but the 2nd try replaced both display panel and inverter. The display issue was fixed, but the system exhibited lockups only when it reached the destop. Another repair the same issue was seen after replacing the 20" main logic, where the symptom was not present previous. Personal opinion of the late 2005 IMAC flat-panels, in the hardware sense, is the likelihood of component manufacture issues, possibly the main logic boards or the panel displays themselves. Repair of this model, as opposed to the earlier, non-iSight flat-panel 17 and 20" models are extremely difficult -- access to main componenets is blocked by the display panel, which must be removed for each troubleshooting attempt. The internal hardware design is not oriented for repair ease...they are by far the most difficult to work on.
Any input regarding the display issues? Thanks.""""
I can't use the mouse or anything else, and after a while the fans start to go on max. This is the second time I encounter this problem within 30 days. What I have noticed is that the day before, the brightness of the screen started to "blink" slightly -- like if the screen tried to adjust itself.
But I haven't experienced what Bob North describes as the: "Upon boot, the dispaly appears normal, but within 5-10 minutes, either at desktop or in ASD, the normal display will "crash" to the "plaid" display".
I just restart with the power button and everything is working OK. I made an Extended Hardware test without any problems detected.
I have been looking for this issue with iMac G5 20" (iSight) and only found it at http://www.macintouch.com/readerreports/imacg5/topic2276.html#apr25 :

Does it look anything like this?

My nearly 3 year old Titanium PowerBook G4 just did this one day, out of the blue. The problem went away after a few minutes, but I had already taken photos. Thanks to those photos, Apple gave the powerbook a new logic board.
(This PowerBook has had its logic board replaced twice, a new optical drive, and a cracked case edge replaced. AppleCare has more than paid for itself. Despite the occasional problems, I remain very happy with this machine. I'm sure I'd be much less happy if I had not bought AppleCare!)

  • Various Screen Problems with iMac G5 20" 1.8

    I have a iMac G5 20" 1.8 running 10.4.3 with 2GB RAM
I bought it in July 2005 on Ebay in the UK (the previous owner bought it in January 2005)
The Mac ran fine for months until the start of November when I started having all these problems (which many other iMac G5 20" 1.8 owners are having around the World):
    1. Screen is sometimes darker at the top than the bottom after I have started the Mac up (this sometimes fixes itself if I do a Restart).
    2. Screen sometimes starts up darker all over (in a slight pinkish hue colour).
I have tried all the usual things that people have suggested on this Discussion Board and many other Apple Message Boards to try and sort these problems but nothing seems to fix it.
I have tried resetting the PRAM
I have tried re-installing the OS.
Why was the iMac was fine for almost 6 months and then the problems started occurring?
Was it because I installed OS X 10.4.3? Because it was around that time when the problems began
Has anyone else managed to get Apple to fix these problems that they've been having with their iMac G5's under Apple's current iMac G5 Repair Extension Program for Video and Power Issues?
iMac G5 Repair Extension Program for Video and Power Issues
    See this webpage:
    http://www.apple.com/support/imac/repairextensionprogram/
How long did the repair take?
Is there a risk that I could be charged for any repairs?
My Serial Number is one of the serial numbers that is mentioned in the Repair Extension Programme

    Hi
    I have made a discovery!
When I start up in Safe Boot Mode I don't have any Kernel Panics/Crashes or Screen Freezes, etc any more!!??
    Is this a good thing?
Can I use my iMac in Safe Mode all the time? Everything is working and enabled in Safe Mode apart from sound and some fonts from what I have found out so far. (I read that sound won't work in Safe Mode)
Does this mean that the problems I have been having are not Hardware problems after all and are only Software Conflicts/Issues?
I await all your replies with interest!
    Cheers

  • My screen on my iMac 2008 goes darker in the top 1/3, readable but why?, My screen on my iMac 2008 goes darker in the top 1/3, readable but why?

The screen on my iMac (2008) goes darker all the time in the top 1/3 of the screen.  It has been doing this for the past year.  It's readable but just.  Is there anything I can do to correct this or is it just the screen is dying?

Either the display or graphics card is in trouble. Run Apple Hardware Test in extended mode three times back to back. If errors appear then a hardware issue is confirmed, the next step would be to take the machine in for repair. Because the machine is 6 years old now you may want to consider looking into a replacement for it.

  • N8/C7 PURPLE SCREEN ISSUE AND HOW TO SPOT IF YOU H...

MODS THIS IS NOT A POLL OR IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM A VOTING THREAD IT IS A THREAD TO WARN USERS ABOUT THE PURPLE SCREEN ISSUE AND HOW TO SPOT IT IN THEIR PHONES CLEAR AS DAY , I HAVE BEEN INFORMED FROM THE DIRECTOR OF COMUNICATIONS AT NOKIA VIA TWITTER THAT THIS THREAD IS OK AND THE TEST IMAGE IS FINE TO LOAD UP
The following has been added by vandelay (Nokia administrator) :
Please note that there is normally a slight variation in the purple color level in each display
unit. This is related to the display manufacturer's optical tuning process. However, some Nokia C7 and Nokia N8 users seem to be experiencing a
slightly higher level of purple color tint on their device screens.
Nokia Care's technical experts told me that the easiest way to spot this problem is to just look at the black idle screen of the device - if there is a clear purple color tint on the idle screen, you should have the device inspected at a Nokia Care point. They will repair the device the device under warranty if there is a clear defect in the device.
So seeing some purple on the test image does not necessarily mean that your screen is faulty, but we hope that it helps some people to decide whether they should visit a Nokia Care point.
    (end of vandelay's addition)
as you may or may not have read many n8s and c7s have a purple tint issue
this can easily be spoted by saving the picture below to your pc , transfering it to your n8/c7 , then viewing the image in your gallery
if the image shows purple squares in some areas then iam afraid you have one of the screens that is showing defects in gradiation of colurs and the greyscale
there are also many n8s out in the wild that dont have this problem , i have 3 n8s , my gfriend has one , hers is perfect and shows the test image with no purple tint at all my three n8s all have purple tint and some display it worse then others
the test image can be viewed on any brightness and it should display just as it does on your monitor screen ,my gfriends n8 displays the image perfect under all brightness levels yet my three n8s show the purple tint heavily on low brightness and not as much on full brightness
the test image can also be viewed via tv out and hdmi out and again if you have a defect screen you will see the image perfect on your tv yet on your n8 screen you will have purple tints
here is the test image for you to load to your device and view via the gallery
as stated above if you have one of the screens with defects in colour gradiation you will see some of the squares as purple
this shouldnt be happending as there n8s out there that display the test image perfectly
from all my research on this in the last month and my time studying ICT systems support in which i have a diploma , it seems clear to me that nokia have used at least two screens in the build of the n8
many phones bought between october launch and december dont have the problem yet there are still some that do but not as many as now , phones bought from the end of december up untill current date seem to have the issue moreand its now nearly impossible to find one without the purple tint issue
this leads me to believe that from the start nokia were using at least two screen in the n8 , then one started to run out around december and by the end of december a huge majority of n8/c7 handsets have the troubles, if not all of them shipped after december
infact ive been to every phone shop in lakeside , chelmsford , colchester which included : carphone warehouse , o2 , vodafone , orange , three ,  phones4u , tmobile all n8/c7 handsets i asked to look at had the problem not one n8 i looked at didnt have the issue
i have been in contact with nokia care escalation team , all they did is send me very badly refurbed handsets back for my brand new n8s ,  which across all three handsets had the following faults
    #hdmi covers scratched and worn
#no imei number under the hdmi cover on one of them
#torx screws on battery cover very worn
#plastic top caps not fitted right
#one had a huge gap between the silver screen surround and the main chasis of n8
#they all still had purple tint issue
so nokia sent me three refurbed handsets for my brand new n8s , i obvously complained as they were so new i could have taken them back to the shops with the reciept but now nokia had changed the imei numbers my reciept was useless , i said i should be sent three brand new n8s , they again sent me badly refurbed handsets just as bad as the 1st lot and again all three of them had purple screen issues
i complained again and this time supervsior took over the case and agreed that 3 new n8s should be sent to me as mine was so new , she got them sent out and this time they were new but they still have the purple screen issue
thats a toatal 12 n8s direct from nokia and all of them have had the issue  so i cant recomend going to a nokia care point or nokia care uk as the refurbs i was sent was a complete joke and looked like they were just used handsets that had been through a rough time
through this month of me talking to nokia and sending emails and getting these phones swapped back to a condition of the phones that i sent them , they have said they are investigating it and taking it seriously however after some of their actions towards users (myself included) on these forums it doesnt seem like they are taking it very serious at all , they have known about it for a month now and we still have not had an offical response from nokia themselves

there are many more threads about this issue across the net and if you google n8 screen problems or n8 purple screen problems you will come acroos many many pages of unhappy users from all across the globe
i just hope nokia sort this out soon
ho do you users with the problem feel about this issue and how do you think nokia should resolve it
id be happy for a screen swap at a nsc or via warranty postal repair as long as it could be done quickly and the user wasnt without their phone for too long after all this is nokias mistake and not the users that bought the phone so all fixes should be at minimal disturbance to them
heres hoping when you test the image your not as unlucky as me and many other n8 owners from across the globe , its a brilliant phone but this screen issue lets it down alot especially during watching films and stuff

sorry to hear you guys are having troubles too , its a shame sucha  great device as the nokia n8 has had an issue like this arise , it is effecting alot of n8/c7 handsets and is quite a widespread issue across the globe
it would be great to hear from as many users as possible about this and what they think about it as a user of the c7/n8
    jimmyireland about your post mate
yes it was written by me and yes it ws deleted not once but 3or4 times actually
the mods said it was because i had set up a poll and voting system , so i read through forum rules and posted it again with what fitted their guidelines and even put in big caps that it was not a poll but a thread to help users identify a problem and discuss it which is what the forum is for , it was deleted again , i then posted it again with just the test image and how to spot the problem and again put big caps that the post fitted their guidelines and was just to help users , it was again deleted and i was banned by mods for 2 days saying that i had broke forum rules and posted a poll and that the test image wasnt a proper test image
i then asked other users to post the image but when they tryed nokias spam filter kicked in with a message saying that their post contained spam and that they should write it again and try posting again
to be honest it really looked like they were trying to cover up the issue , fair enough my 1st post could be considered a very very rough poll but the posts i made afterwards were edited to fit nokias guidelines and they still removed them ad banned me and then other users posts were marked as spam
so i tweeted alot of people and even nokia have said that as long as the post doesnt contain polls/votes then it will be fine to postand that mods shouldnt delete it , which was excellent news and hopefull this thread will stay and users can load the image and test their screens and then discuss the issue here so nokia can see users discussion in one thread , it will alo help awareness of the issue
hence this post that isnt a poll but a thread to help users identify wether their n8/c7 has a screen with a defect in the gradiation of colours
as stated in original post not all n8s have this problem my gfriends doesnt and it displays the test image perfectly on all brightness settings , yet my n8s show the image as very purple on low brightness and the brighter the screen goes the less the purple is shown , it is still there just not as visible as it is in the lower brightness settings
as i also mentioned many n8s between october and mid december are fine although some still have the problem , yet from mid december till current date the amount of n8s with purple issue is much much higher and it now seems very very rare that you will get a brand new n8 from the shops without this screen issue which leads me to believe that from launch nokia have used at least two screens in the builds of the n8 , some great screens and then the ones with dodgy purple tint , from the threads across the web it seems like the good screens nokia were using either run out or they have failed to source the same screen or the manufactuer of the screen has changed something
iam not a nokia hater and iam not here to cause trouble or loose nokia sales etc
i love nokia have used them for years and used symbian since the 6680 , iam always helping users across the web with their nokia problems and am an avid user on nokia users please check my profile and feel free to check my posts and how many times ive been thanked for being helpfull
    http://www.nokiausers.net/forum/members/buxz777.html
as you can see i love nokia and spend alot of time using their devices , speaking highly of them and helping their users with problems, i also love good customer services and customer relations
i understand that big companys have build issues iam a gadget lover and trained in ict supprt iam not silly and understand that these things happend and building these phones with such complicated electronics and some could end up with issues , it could happend to anyone , sony , apple , samsung , blackberry , lg etc etc
however its how the companys react to these issues and relate to their customers that have spent 100s of pounds on their devices that is important , issues do arise , its how the company looks after its customers thats important
i think alot of users think the same , they dont expect nokia to click their fingers and go heres a fix but they do expect nokia to investigate the issue and they do expect nokia to relate to its customers and not ignore them or the issue which is what it looks like when posts are deleted and users are banned for posting informative posts that help users identify a problem
things like sending users really bad refurbs for brand new n8s also dont help users confidence in nokia statement of going to nokia care about the problem as all i got was second hand looking n8s that still have the problem they were sent off with and the originals were in much better condition
like i say iam not here to cause trouble and i love nokia the n8 is the best phone ive ever had and its almost my dream device and everything ive wanted on a device for years its the ultimate convergance device and agadget lovers dream , however when you see your gfriends and some of your mates n8 screens display the test image perfect then your n8 display it with a very purple hue it does dissapoint you and you do hope that nokia will take notice and fix the issue with the least amunt of hassle to the users
cheers jimmy and sorry about the long post just wanted to clear some things up
now lets get back to discussing the issue and what other users think about it
    have a great evening

  • How to fill the whole screen of my iMac with the photos included in an iDVD project. (iDVD v. 7.1.2)

How to fill the whole screen of my iMac with the photos I included in an iDVD project. (iDVD v. 7.1.2). I mean, during playing the burned dvd.
When I do "Enter Full Screen", the slide show fills the screen but the photo itself remains in the middle with a wide black border filling the rest.
    Any cure for this ?

    Hi
In iDVD Preferences - Turn off - TV-Safe area - and the Photos will fill the full area with just letterboxing or pillars as max.
Then "Save as a DiskImage" and test this and see if this plays better - before burning DVDs that's not as You want them.

Can anyone tell me the cable I need to with the iMac & how to do it. I have music and photos on the iMac I cannot access.
Also, do I need to special CD/DVD external drive/burner to import music CD's into iTunes? I have tried and it keeps coming up with formatting problems.
    Many thanks. Jax

  • Flickering Screen issue after Mavericks update released on Feb 26, 2014

I own a Macbook Retina display bought in early 2014. After installing the recent Maverick update released around Feb 26, 2014 the display developed flickering problem while scrolling and now the scrolling is not smooth any more. The originally shipped machine did not have this problem. I tested other software including Photoshop and the display still flickers while panning the canvas. I also tried resetting the SMC - System Management Controller but it didn't work along with other attempts of resetting the disk permissions, running a systems cleaner, changing the wifi-router etc.
How to fix this flickering screen issue?

The problem came back lately and I tried this solution and it worked. Go to system settings > power saver > and switch off the Automatic Graphic switching. Not sure if this is a good solution, but it seem to have worked for the time being.

  • Gray screen issue still in Reader 11.0.03

Hi, it sounds like the PDF gray screen issue mentioned here:  http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-opens-grey-screen-browser.html
has been fixed in 10.1.3.  Has it been fixed in 11.0.03?  I have the latest Xi version installed and am still experiencing this problem.

    Hi, C F McBlob,
Thanks for the help and the suggestion.  I turned on Compatibility View in IE and I still see the gray screen.  The ActiveX control should take the same setting that I've set in the browser, right?
Also, shouldn't it be an Adobe issue rather than an IE issue if the exact same setup works with Adobe 9?

  • The bottom of the screen of the iMac to the 2011 shooting yellow

    Good afternoon / evening,
I am originally French so sorry for my language if not completely understandable !
Uh, my problem is the screen of my iMac 21.5 range 2011, it is pale!
Yes indeed, it tends to be yellowish gray even see!
This is my 3rd iMac, and I've never had a homogeneous model, the colors havealways been ugly, cold, and ugly!
I made the photo montage, and frankly the iMac 21.5 corespond do anything to thecolors of its big brother, the 27 "!
I already exchanged 2 times this model, but I fear that the problem comes from Apple:
    What must I do?
Continue to try my luck and hope for a model "homogeneous"?
    Help me please !!!!!?????

QuickTime icon changes in that little box that you put the key number in, it didn't change the icon itself down below. Does that mean that it is now the new pro one regardless?
The "Dock" icon does not change. The registration key simply "unlocks" the editing functions already built into the free QT 7 but which are deactivated without the key. To see if the app is properly key for "Pro" use, simply load a file into the app and check to see if the export, editing, and "Show Properties" menu options are working.
I was really hoping to somehow get all my old videos on my last computer to work on this new one and it's becoming more clear that it most likely won't work.
Keying the QT 7 app for "Pro" use does not add any new codec support to the system. However, QT 7 does have a more open architecture which allows you to add codec and container support that will allow you to play many files that are not supported natively on the system.
