u can define screeen layout for enjoy type transation using TCODE: SHD0.
USE:F-03, F-32 AND F-44 for account type S,D and K
u can also use F.13
There is no separate setup for openitem clearing.
Only gl has to be open item managed.

I see another new 7.8 version has been released, but still some old bugs remain:
Home Screen fonts are broken, at least in Polish verison you seem to use some font that does not contain our accented letters
Home Screen status boxes 2 columns and 1 column layout is fixed to pre-defined 2 widths only. Come on, you can make it adapt to any size? Leaving some white areas, or making whole screen scrollable is really ugly, and even for regular website this would not be acceptable.
The same happends on some other screens, like user profile.

Screen Layout Field in the Asset Master Record

What is the use of the screen in the asset master record, ANLA-FELEI?
We have some assets where there are different values between this screen layout and the screen layout defined at the asset class (i.e. through configuration).
It seems the one defined within the asset class takes precedence.

Scree Layout controls the diplay of fields, it may not be necessary for a user to use all the fileds provided by SAP. Hence the options like Required, Optional and Suppress are used to control the screen diplay and the TABs to be displayed based on the need.
Asses within the same class will have same fields since the screen layout are assigned to an Asset class.
Scree layout for the Tab Depreciation Area can also be controlled with the screen layout defied for the Depreciation Area. With this one can have different screen layouts per dep. area.

Change in Screen Layout of PO for a particular Item category

Hi,
We are facing a typical issue after Upgrade of our system from 4.6C to ECC 6.0.
Whenever we try to create a PO (in the newly upgraded system) with the Item category S (Third Party PO), the material number field goes blank and it becomes Non-Editable (even before saving the PO)...
However, on saving, EKPO table has the entries for the material number specified before entering the Item Category S. If we try to display the PO, it shows blank in the MATNR field.
This works fine with other item categories......we see this problem only with the item category S.
All the configurations (Screen Layout for Document Type, External Representation of Item category) are fine....but still we are facing this problem....
Any suggestions on this?

Hi Ninad,
I think I have mentioned it very clearly that it works for other item categories assigned to the same document type. It is a very basic setting that one has to check for issues related to PO screen layouts and I have done all those checks.
As stated earlier, this issue has come up after Upgrade, so just want to know if there is any known SAP Note or solution to this problem (if someone has faced it earlier).

Screen layout for asset class

HI,
My problem is that I am assigning one asset class to new screen layout in the asset class master data.
But the system is taking the fields from the layout which is chart of depreciation dependent data (tcode ANK1)
Here when i try to change that data for this asset class the system throws the message "Chart-of-depreciation-dependent assignment to asset class XXXX not possible"
Procedure
     In order to be able to assign chart-of-depreciation-dependent data to
     asset class 4100, the following conditions have to be met. You have to
     have already
     1. Defined at least two active charts of depreciation
     2. Assigned asset class 4100 to more than one chart of depreciation
     However, at the moment this asset class is only assigned to chart of
     depreciation 1.
Any help would really be appreciated.

This is whta you have done:
Generally, the control specifications (the screen layout and the account determination) for the asset class applies throughout the client, that is, for all charts of depreciation. It is therefore sufficient to make control specifications once per asset class.
You only need to carry out this step, if, contrary to the usual case, you want these control specifications to be country-specific (that is, different depending on the chart of depreciation). The system then uses the entries you make here depending on the chart of depreciation in the given company code. The system then ignores the control specifications in the asset class that are independent of the chart of depreciation.
We shall try to check how to delete this settings.

How do I get a Up One Level in the Topics page of my screen layout?

What do you mean by Up One Screen? Where is Rh only allowing you to add a hyperlink to the TOC?

Group Asset Screen Layout disabled fields

Hi All,
We have created asset masters with Book and Tax depreciation, For tax depreciation we are assigning Group asset. Issue is while doing take over value with t- Code AS92, system should propose the field of APC Value and Accumulated Depreciation Value but both the fields are proposing only for Book Depreciation
In case of tax depreciation APC value is editable and Accumulated Dep value is disabled, requirement is we need to enter both the values for tax dep along with group asset assignment.
This is happening only when we are assigning group asset while creation of asset master. if you donu2019t assign group asset to the asset master then system is allowing us to enter both values in both the depreciation area.
I have checked necessary configuration regarding screen layout and not found any solution.
Kindly help in this regard.

Dep start date need to be changed it is grayed out ,went to screen layout.

First you see the screen layout assigned to the asset. use AS02 goto Environment -Screen Layout-Select Master Data. See what screen layout is using.Go to the screen layout and check whether this filed is optional or supprsed, if it is supprsed than make it optional.

In this case, please check whether the Note 950061 is implemented in
your system and also please make sure that this customizing options are
done,
OLME > Account Assignment > Maintain Account Assignment Categories and
check as per your account assignment settings.
SPRO ->Material Management->External Services management->Define Screen

Start Screen Layout not applying to every user

Ok, i'm stuck. I have a 2012r2 DC with a 2012r2 terminal server. I exported the xml file to be the start screen layout and have it applied to a specific user OU with my two users in it. One gets the layout the other does not (metro
layout btw) Same users, same permissions, in the same OU. Tried to gpupdate with no luck, the only difference I can tell is one users existed and the other I created brand new to test with.
User config - policies - admin templates - start menus & taskbar - start screen layout
this OU is blocked from inheritence for testing purposes. I have also deleted all references to the non-woking user locally on the server and tried to re-login. No dice.
Idea's on what I am missing?

Basic Layout stuff (adding) and Clearing screens

Ok I have 2 problems I cannot figure out
1) I am using a gridlayout (6,1) inside a panel inside the southern border of a borderlayout. I have 2 textfields and 4 buttons added to the panel. I want the buttons and textfields to be a certain size and not the size of my applet. Any Help?? Can I add buttons and Textfields to specific pixels instead of on a layout???
2) My applet is actually a game. I have multiple classes and stuff and I need to clear objects at times to hide them so they are not visible. I know in VB there is a .visible() method. How do i make buttons, images, and textfields, invisible and visible????

Not all Layout managers repect the requested size.
When using GridLayout each cell in the Grid will be the same size - the size of the largest component added - and the other components expand to fill the available space.
You can position components absolutely by using a null Layout and then using the specific method - setPosition(x,y) or whatever it is. However, you can normally get the desired effect using the Layout Managers by adding Panels inside Panels.
GridbagLayout gives you a lot more flexibility but this is also more complicated to use.
Ideally, you should have a look at the Swing tutorial on using Layout Managers.
For the problem at hand however, I'd set the Panel holding your button's and textfield's to be a FlowLayout as this does respect the preferred component size:
// new Panel - components added left to right with centre alignment
JPanel myPanel = new JPanel (new FlowLayout(FlowLayout.CENTER));
JButton myButton = new JButton("CLICK");
// set size of new button

Problem with the browse sequence back and browse sequence next widget placed in the screen layout

Hi,
Some basics: We are using Robohelp 10 to generate multiscreen html5 output. We used the pharmaceutical screen layout downloaded from: http://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/robohelp-screen-profiles-layouts.html but modified it to match our GUI.
We are having a problem with the browse sequence back and browse sequence next buttons placed in the screen layout from the widgets tool bar. We are in no way experts at this part of Robohelp...and the css portion of all this is a bit of mystery but we have managed to get mostly what we need. Now we just need these buttons to work. In the past we used Airhelp and things worked great. Can anyone help us understand why the sequence buttons are not showing up in the output even though it does in the topic preview?
