Screen Lock sound

Hi guys, I just bought the Xperia Z1 and would like to double check something with you, when I lock the screen it makes a sound but it is really low, I can barely hear it. I had an iphone 5 before and when you lock it it's quite loud the sound, wasn't sure if it just mine or all your Z1's sound is really low as well when you lock your home screen, just want to double check just in case I have a problem with my sound. Sound is fine for everything else..

As default you cannot customize the lock screen sound. Perhaps there is another lock screen application that have this function.

Iphone 4 i have no screen lock sound no keyboard clicking sound no control center since i got ios 7

i dont know whats going on ever since i have upgraded to ios 7 i have lost all software sounds i either want this fixed or i want my ios 6 back cuz personally i loved the graphics on the ios 6 software and i hope apple reads this a fixes this problem or gives me ios 6 back cuz people are getting mad!! thanks hope somebody can help me i tried restoring also didnt work!!

Thanks - that fixed it. I was just putting my finger on the screen then swiping up which didn't work.

Screen lock stop audio randomly even if option is disabled [HP slate6 voicetab plus]

I bought an HP Slate6 voiceta plus, with Android 4.4.4, and I play music but when I lock the screen after random time the audio stops for almost 4 seconds or more and continues, I've unchecked the "Screen lock sound" in settings/audio section but still the same trobule, it's so frustrating, I tryed with diferent players but still the same result.

Xfce4: Problems with Sound and Screen Locking on ASUS G53S

Hello everyone,
I recently installed Arch for the first time, and decided to use xfce4 for my desktop environment. Everything seems to work well after I followed the instructions given in the wiki, except for the sound and screen-locking functionality. Regarding the sound, I made sure that my user account is added to the audio group, and installed the gstreamer1.0-base-plugins and gstreamer1.0-good-plugins packages. The xfce4-mixer applet starts up without any warnings and recognizes the available devices, but I am still not able to hear any sound. The "Lock Screen" applet simply does nothing upon being clicked. Do you have any ideas as to what I should try in order to fix these problems?

To be able to lock the screen you have to install and configure a screen locker or screen saver, e.g. xscreensaver, slock, i3lock, maybe combined with xautolock. When you use a screen locker and not xscreensaver, XFCE might not recognize it. Then create a symlink in /usr/local/bin/xflock4 or use a shellscript if you need to pass parameters.
My configuration: xautolock with i3lock. /usr/local/bin/xflock4 is this executable shellscript:

xautolock -locknow
xautolock is started in the XFCE autostart with this commandline: xautolock -locker 'i3lock -d -i ~/Bilder/arch/arch-linux-lock.png'
PS: If you like i3lock and need user switching capabilities, I can give you a patch where Ctrl-S calls a custom command (gdmflexiserver by default)

Lock screen alert sound take a while after locking the screen

When I lock my I pad 2 screen the sound alert take a while after pressing the key is that normal?!

No sound when screen locked/off

When listening to an audio book app on my iPhone 4 the sound goes off when the screen auto locks (goes black). Is this an issue with the app or is there a setting that allows sound to continue after screen locks?

Contact the app developer. I have used a few apps with that problem that were fixed in later versions so they would play when the phone was locked.

4.2 - No longer able to play TV Shows and Movies with the screen locked

I know this sounds like a weird thing to want, but some Movies and TV Shows are perfectly suitable for listening to without the picture (e.g. musicals, comedies, chat shows).
Prior to 4.2, even though locking the screen stops a Movie or TV Show from playing, you could resume it by double-clicking the home button and then pressing play. This would leave the screen locked, but play just the soundtrack of the Movie or TV Show you had been watching.
Now, with the 4.2 update, this is broken - and not just in a "feature removed" kind of way. If I try and resume a Move or TV Show as I did before, I get the play button, and clicking on it appears to start for a fraction of a second, before the screen abruptly switches back to the locked screen background.
This is extremely disappointing, but I just wanted to check here first to see if it's just my phone doing this, or whether it really is a bug.

Why do I have to sign in after screen lock and/or sleep?

I use Skype, YIM, Facebook, etc., and I want to stay signed in all the time. Whenever my ipod is awakened from sleep or brought out of screen lock, everything is signed out and has to sign back in. I miss calls and messages this way. I appreciate the screen lock and wish to keep it operating, so how can I keep everything signed in after the screen locks?

You need to change the settings in each app. I don't use YIM, but Skype and Facebook I do use.
Under Settings >> Skype, make sure "Sign In Automatically" is on, "Go Offline" is set to never, and notifications are active. The "Don't Auto-Lock" only applies to calls made.
Under Settings >> Facebook, tap "Push Notifications" and make sure the notifications you want to be notified about are set to "On".
Under Settings >> Notifications, make sure they are on, and the types of alerts are on (Badges, Alerts, and/or Sounds).
Under Settings >> General >> Auto-Lock, make sure it is set to "Never".
For some reason, there are a couple of things that still won't happen correctly: Facebook will place a badge for activity, but it still tends to take minutes (or may NEVER) update your page to show you what occurred (I often get Notifications on wall posts that never show in the notification tray). Skype WON'T notify you of a call unless you are actively on the iPod, but you can receive messages, so I would tell whoever calls you to message you first to make sure you are actively able to receive the call (since any chat messages will alert you).

Why doesn't my phone ring when I've got screen lock activated?

This has been driving me crazy and I need to know how to fix it.
I like to have the screen lock activated on my phone (otherwise it will be in my purse calling people without me even touching it) but when I get an incoming call my phone doesn't ring, it will only vibrate so I'm missing alot of calls because I'm not always near my phone to hear it vibrate.
Also, there's nothing to alert me (a sound played every few minutes) when I missed a call or text & its causing problems for me.

Thank you for reaching out to us. I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the phone ringing but we certainly want to make sure that is addressed. When your phone is not in screen lock does it ring as normal? You may want to check your sound settings to see if you have it set to vibrate in silent. Also if that mode is set you want to make sure the switch above your volume buttons is set up, otherwise the phone will not ring while in screen lock mode. Keep us updated and I am sure we will get this figured out.

Screen Lock password help!!

I know that if you plug you iPod nano into the computer, it gets rid of screen lock, but if you forgot your password for screen lock, is there any way to find out what it was?

Connecting the iPod to the computer only disables the lock until you select to lock it again, it doesnt actually get rid of the password. By the sounds of things, you already know that.
If you cannot remember the password, the only way to unlock the iPod permanently and set a new one (hopefully this time one that you remember) is to Restore the iPod.
To restore, connect the iPod, open the iPod updater and click restore. It will take around 5 minutes and will delete all the songs off of your Nano, so make sure they are all OK on the computer first.

Bluetooth stops when screen locks (ios5)?

since i've updated to the new ios5 i have been having this problems with playing music over bluetooth.
I've been using bluetooth some time to play music in my car through sony car radio. But since i've updated the ios it does not work. It stops when the screen locks. If i unlock the screen i can hear the music for 3-5sec and then it stops again. I see the timer on the iphone goes on and it is still playing the music but the sound is gone.
I have reseted the idevice and forgot the bluetooth device and add it again and restarted the radio but no luck.
I realy dont want to set up as new iphone.
Any idea what to do? Am i the only one having this problems?

It won't be the bluetooth, it is iOS5.
The new music player stops playing music if it is in the foreground and the screen blanks out.
If the music player is in the background, it will keep on playing.
You can try selecting a play list then clicking the home screen before the screen blanks out to see if this fixes the problem.
Still, bit of an oversight from apple, hopefully fixed in iOS5.1 very soon.

Do you guys notice bout the lock sound

well first of all im sorry because i dont know where should i post it to..so well..do you guys notice about the lock sound gone for iphone 5???when you didnt touch your phone and let it turn off stand by mode it self,it doesnt make the lock screen sound...or maybe its just me....if i turn off using power button it will make the lock screen sound but if i let it turn off it self no lock screen sound i heard it...bug on ios 6.1.2 or i got it all wrong??anyone can help me here??TQ

I believe it never made the lock sound when simply timing out. Typically, when you don't touch the iPhone, the screen will go dark after a while, and then, at the appointed time, it will (silently) slip into lock mode.
But as you say when you lock the screen actively by pressing the top button, then you do hear the lock sound.

Screen lock button muting the Ipad

The screen lock rotation button on my Ipad instead of locking the screen is muting the sound, anybody know what can I do about that?

Rotation lock is now a software function on the taskbar in 4.2 and the button now mutes notifications e.g. so that you can watch videos or listen to music without hearing email notifications etc.
Rotation lock : double-click the home button, slide from the left, and it's the button far left; press home again to exit the taskbar; repeat to switch off rotation lock.

IOS 7 Screen Locks Randomly

I am having the weirdest thing happened since updating to iOS 7 my iPad mini tends to auto lock the screen during normal use, not all the time just random. Most of the time when this happens, is when after I unlock the iPad from sleep and attempt to use my Apps the lock screen and sound automatically clicks and the screen goes dark "back to sleep". This issue causes me to unlock a second time to actually use my iPad. This issue happens randomly less then 20% of the time just enough to be annoying, I don't remember this issue before iOS 7... I have already logged in my issue at apple.com/feedback

This may because a magnet is getting close to the right edge of your iPad. The iPad smart covers have a magnet in them so that when you close the cover, the device goes to sleep.
To turn this feature off:
1. Open the Settings App.
2. Tap General.
3. There you will see iPad Cover Lock / Unlock. Turn this Off.
If this does not work please reply and I will look further into your problem
