Screen looks like photo negative

After using Siri, the screen changed to what looks like a photo negative. I am going to try restore to resolve. This happened without warning and nothing has happened to the screen, no water damage, never been dropped etc. very weird.

So, after looking through the forums I found that going to settings----->general----->accessibility---->invert colors switch off. Don't know how that happened in the first place but it resolved the problem. Some kind of weird glitch I guess.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Go to Settings>General>Accessibility and see if Invert Colors is on. If On turn it Off.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

  • HP mini 210-2145DX screen looks like a negative and i cant restore it

my laptops screen looks like a picture negative. can anyone help me fix this problem

Hi veekey4. Let me know if the display looks the same in Safe Mode: Start your computer in safe mode
If it does look the same in safe mode, try a hard reset, as outlined in this document: Performing a Hard Reset or Forced Reset
If that does not resolve the issue, try restoring your BIOS: Restoring the BIOS
Let me know if this helps.
If those steps do not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware failure. In that case you can contact HP Support to find out your repair options. HP technical support: 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region please click the link <HERE> to get the support number for your region.

  • My 2009 iMac screen looks like a picture negative - how do I reset it to the normal screen?

Yesterday my 2009 (maybe2008?) iMac screen switched over to look like a negative.  How do I reset it?  Do I have a virus or something?

    Hi...
Open System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing
    Check your Display settings.
Doubtful it's a virus. Sounds more like you have "white on black" or "grayscale" selected.

  • How can I keep photos on iPod Touch from looking like color negatives?

How can I keep photos on iPod Touch from looking like color negatives?

You don't have to keep your photos in iPhoto to sync to your iPod according to Apple's website which states you can sync from folders in other locations:
    "Syncing Photos from a Mac
To sync photos from iPhoto or a folder on your Mac:
    1. Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes.
    2. Select your iPod in the DEVICES section of the iTunes Source list.
    3. In the main iTunes browser window, select the Photos tab.
    4. Select the checkbox labeled "Sync photos from" and then choose either iPhoto, Aperture, Choose Folder, or Pictures, from the menu.
    * If you choose iPhoto, select "All photos and albums" to copy all of your photos in iPhoto, or "Selected albums only" and select individual rolls or albums you want to include.
    * If you choose Choose Folder, navigate to and select the folder of photos you want, then click Choose. Select "All photos" to copy all photos in the folder, or choose "Selected folders" to sync particular subfolders.
    * If you choose Pictures, choose "All photos" to copy all photos in the folder, or choose "Selected folders" to sync particular subfolders.
    5. If you want iTunes to also include the full-resolution versions of your photos, select the "Include full-resolution photos" checkbox. To access full-size photo files, be sure to enable your iPod for disk use.)
    6. Once you have decided which photos you'd like to sync, click Apply."
    Hope this helps!

  • Photos look like film negatives after color correcting

I tried following Scott Kelby's instructions for color correcting digital images in PSE 10. I was entering the values he gave for the R,G and Blue channels. I got off track and probably missed a step. Anyway, now when I try any of the auto correction features, my images look like film negatives and not like a regular digital image. How can I re-enable the auto correction features (levels, color correction, etc.) ?

Make an levels adjustment layer and Alt (option) click on the Auto button in the levels dialog.
Then in the Auto Color correction Options set the RGB values for
    Shadows RGB 0,0,0
    Midtones RGB 128,128,128
    Highlights RGB 255,255,255
    Then check Save as Defaults

  • Why does new 5s screen look like the old 4?

We just bought and backed up two new 5s replacing iphone 4. Why does one new 5s screen look like the old 4 iphone. One phone shows new version, one is still old. I have downloaded and backed up twice, same thing happens. Used icloud to backup.

Sure, here's two photos, LP5 is the old screen style, NP5 is the correct screen. Note the differences?

  • Monitor looks like a negative

My monitor looks like a negative. My text is white and the background is black. I looked through the system preferences to convert it back and can't seem to figure it out. I also looked through this website and couldn't find in any information. Can someone point me in the right direction.
    Thank You!
    Jeff

    laprete,
    You're Welcome!
When you opened Universal System Preferences, you may have noticed the key combination that I posted, was displayed under Switch to White on Black, in key symbols.
This KB Article Symbols for special keys, shows you what symbols correspond to which keys.
You will see these symbols used in various other places as well. In the Finder contextual menus, for example. Keyboard Shortcuts.

If the Safe Area settings are OK then it's well a settings issue in either the DVD player or TV or both.

Maybe you had installed an action into your previous version of photoshop elements?
Anyway here's an action that will work in pse 11, although the look is a little different.

  • Qosmio F10: Monitor screen looks like an Andy Warhol picture

I am currently having problems with my monitor screen looking like an Andy Warhol picture. I have resorted to going through the Product Recovery DVD-ROM for my Qosmio F10/G10 Laptop in the hope that reverting it back to the factory settings would solve the problem but it hasn't.
The screen breaks down after the Windows welcome screen, leaving me with my desktop all Andy Warhol like (i.e. blocks of pixilated colour at the edges of the graphics). I have tried to reset the resolution which solves the problem to an almost acceptable level but on a temporary basis, because the problem re-appears again when I re-boot the laptop.
I think that it is something to do with the Windows Multimedia Operating system that was preinstalled on my computer (so no recovery disc). The reasoning behind this assumption is that I put a DVD film into the Multimedia that is part of Windows XP and the film is a moving Andy Warhol video.
I put the same DVD into the WinDVD that came as a Toshiba additional content and the DVD is perfect! My reasoning is, that if there was something wrong with the hardware of the Laptop, then all DVD reading programs would react the same way, but as they do not, it must be a programming (or operating system problem).
Am I on the right lines? Is there a way to solve the problem via a downloadable file?

Thanks guys for your replies, sorry if my question is confusing, but I couldn't think of any other way of describing it without the use of a screen dump to show you.
At the moment I haven't got another monitor to try, even though this looks as though it would have been the easiest option. I shall start asking round to see if I can borrow one to eliminate that variable.
However I will try to reinstall and to update "Graphic Drivers" to get rid out of this display problem.
    Thanks to all.
