Screen moves suddenly when I move object

I am on a 2009 Mac Pro w/ 2 hard drives and updated graphics card, OS 10.9.3, with Apple keyboard and Apple mouse. Dell monitor, two years old. I am using Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.
Why does my screen move horizontally and vertically, while it zooms out, when I am moving objects in Illustrator.
I thought it might be mouse or keyboard settings, but I have changed the settings several times and tried other mice, as well as changed Illustrator prefs many times.
Any and all suggestions are welcome.
Thanks.

Have you checked Universal Access setting in the OS preferences? It sounds like something that would be triggered there.

  • Is there a way to make the quality of quicktime player better. when I take a screen movie of a demonstration video the quality when exporting to final cut is poor???

    is there a way usinig quick time player when recording a screen movie of product demonstration better quiality?

    FCE works in standardized broadcast frame sizes and frame rates. If your screen recording is not exactly the same pixel dimensions and frame rate as the sequence you are editing in, FCE will try to force it to fit, and that forcing may distort and reduce the apparent quality of your recording.
    Have you tried to render your clips on the sequence?
    Most people that are creating tutorials, etc. use dedicated software. If you have to do this a lot, then you might want to consider software such as ScreenFlow, which consolidates screen recording, editing/manipulating of the screen recording, and re-compression of your project for delivery in one application.

  • I have iPhoto 08 and have been happy with it. Don't want to upgrade. But suddenly, when I click on an event, instead of all the photos, I just get one- enlarged- and cannot move to the next one. The photo just jumps up or down.  How to solve?

    I have posted "submit" twice and keep getting requests to submit again.  Now being asked to write a summary! Here we go.  I have iPhoto 08 and am happy with it.  Don't want to upgrade. But suddenly when I click on an event, instead of getting all the photos, I just get a large version of one photo and cannot move on to the others.  The right arrow will not move it and the photo just jumps around.

    Note the slider bottom right of the iPhoto Window. Drag it left.

  • Very Slow / Lag When Screen Moves...

    Hi Guys,
    I’m really a newbie when it comes to AS3 – so really a total newbie when it comes to using it to develop iPhone games/apps, but I have used AS2 for years now
    I’ve been trying to do a simple test – Just use mouse events to move a screen around depending on what is pressed. No Characters/hittests/etc.
    What I have created works great on my pc – very smooth, and even on the iphone, the controls work as expected – but the problem is how SLOW everything is running. Pressing the "UP" arrow - makes the screen move, but very SLOW and Jumpy.
    I have tried using onkeyframe and using a timer – but both are very slow.
    Typically when I made games in AS2 – the “level” would just be a single BIG movieclip – as shown in “Example A” – but this was very slow on the iphone, so I tried a tile based approach (“Example B”), which reuses the same movieclips, it just moves them and renames them – trying to cut memory usage down, only loading what is needed - but  still its slow. The total size of the "level" is only about 3x bigger than the iphone visible screen.
    I have made sure all variables are done correctly: var thisVar:int = 10; etc and have enabled cache as bitmap. I have replaced all vector graphics with jpegs, and followed the guide on how to optimize code for iphone development – but nothing seems to work, everything just lags as the screen moves/updates – but everything works great on my pc.
    Can someone please explain what I am doing wrong? Is there a way to cache the whole map before the game loads? Which is the correct way to make an iphone game where the level is bigger than the default screen - tile based or a large level graphic.
    Thanks so much for any help! I’ve been trying to get this simple test working for 3 days now – but documentation is limited at the moment.
    Cheers!

    This should be better:
    the function addPage() is what I used to test Bitmaps
    import flash.display.Shape;
    import flash.display.Sprite;;
    Multitouch.inputMode = MultitouchInputMode.GESTURE;
    var currentGalleryItem:Number = 1;
    var totalGalleryItems:Number = 4;
    var slideCounter:Number = 0;
    var gallery_items:Sprite = new Sprite();
    addChild(gallery_items);
    addPages();
    stage.addEventListener (TransformGestureEvent.GESTURE_SWIPE, fl_SwipeToGoToNextPreviousFrame);
    // create pages
    function addPages():void
    addShape(0, 0, 0xff0000);
    addShape(768, 0, 0x00ff00);
    addShape(1536, 0, 0x0000ff);
    function addPage(xPos:Number, yPos:Number):void
    var p:Bitmap = new Bitmap(new bookPage());
    p.x = xPos;
    p.y = yPos;
    gallery_items.addChild(p);
    function addShape(xPos:Number, yPos:Number, col:uint):void
    var s:Shape = new Shape();
    s.graphics.beginFill(col);
    s.graphics.drawRect(xPos, yPos, 768, 1028);
    s.graphics.endFill();
    gallery_items.addChild(s);
    function fl_SwipeToGoToNextPreviousFrame(event:TransformGestureEvent):void
    if(event.offsetX == 1)
    if(currentGalleryItem > 1){
    currentGalleryItem--;
    slideRight();
    else if(event.offsetX == -1)
    if(currentGalleryItem < totalGalleryItems){
    currentGalleryItem++;
    slideLeft();
    function slideLeft(){
    gallery_items.addEventListener("enterFrame", moveGalleryLeft);
    function slideRight(){
    gallery_items.addEventListener("enterFrame", moveGalleryRight);
    function moveGalleryLeft(evt:Event){
    gallery_items.x -= 76.8;
    slideCounter++;
    if(slideCounter == 10){
    gallery_items.removeEventListener("enterFrame", moveGalleryLeft);
    slideCounter = 0;
    function moveGalleryRight(evt:Event){
    gallery_items.x += 76.8;

    hi i have the 1st gen apple tv and suddenly when trying to rent a movie i don't see the rental interface. i did a factory restore and now i see movie trailors and my movies but not rental option. any idea what could be wrong??

    Judging by all the posts on the forum, there seems to be an issue at Apple's end, although they have made no announcement on their status page. Some users have reported that Apple is aware of the issue. You can leave feedback for Apple at the link below.

  • When I move my mouse my screen moves

    I apologize as this is probably a dumb question but I'm a new user. I must have accidentally hit some button and now wherever I move my mouse, my my screen moves all over too. I've searched everywhere to try and solve this but I can't. For example when my arrow goes to the bottom I eventually get to the see the icons but then the stuff at the top disappears.I just want my old screen back where I see everything and the screen stays still when I move my mouse.
    Thanks.

    Welcome to the discussions. Perhaps you inadvertently entered this mode by holding down the Ctrl key whilst scrolling up with the mouse. If so, to return to normal, hold down the Ctrl key whilst scrolling down. ...From a comment in this _Magnifying With a Touch_ article:
    "...if you have a mouse with a scroll wheel. Just hold down the control key when when you scroll up to magnify, and scroll down to return to normal."
    Settings are in the Mouse tab of +Keyboard & Mouse+ System Preferences with an Options button for more settings. Also:
    "You can use keyboard shortcuts to control zooming. To make the screen image appear larger (zoom in), press Command-Option-equal sign (=). To make it appear smaller (zoom out), press Command-Option-hyphen(-)."
    ...quoted from this Apple doc:
    _Making it easier to see what’s on the screen_
    For portables, see this Apple doc:
    _Apple Portables — How to use trackpad screen zooming_
    ...although it's a little out-of-date as 10.5.6 introduced a dedicated Trackpad pane in System Preferences.

  • Ios 7.4  nightmares. When idle and charging my screens move on their own, types jibberish on its own and sends the jibberish as a text message to random callers, changes sounds on its own.  And that's not all!!!

    The ios7.04 download for my iphone 4s has tuned the phone into a nightmare. Battery charging time is 3x what it used to be, battery drains after 4 hours whether I talking or phone is idle. I can no longer hear the phone when it rings. Here is the dealbreaker:When idle, untouched and charging the screens move on their own, type jibberish on their own and send the jibberish via text to a random selection of my contacts. The phone is charging now and I am watching the screen move to the alarm stopwatch screen. It  From there is has moved to the Sounds screen and has changed my ring tone twice. (It plays the tones as well.). My hands are not on the phone at the time and the homescreen is visible when charging begins. I have turned off so many components of the phone that there is simply no longer any reason to walk around with what has become a functionless burden. The most obvious solution is to say goodbye to Apple and go back to the brand I was using before. Thought I's give this forum one last shot. For the life of me I can not understand why so many of us have so many complaints about our devices yet no one takes the path of least resistance...which is to simply switch to a brand that is reliable. I never had any problems with a cell phone until I switched to Apple.

    Thank you. I called my carrier and told them that the i704 os made my phone unusable and that the support in the forums is populated by children like yourself who make nasty comments and provide no support, I was released from my contract. Free at last from rotten Apple and shmucks like you.

    Pogopossum & Julian Wright,
    I am using iteleport.  But regardless of the app, what I would like is that I can move my finger/cursor around the screen to select things without having scrolling (moving the entire screen up/down/left/right).  This is something the ipad does regardless of the mirroring app.
    Thank you!
    Sounds like you have zoomed in. Can you see the clock and battery at top?
    Three finder double tap drag down to zoom out.

    It's possible you've got a 'hot corner' set up. If you have and move the mouse to a certain corner of the screen it'll do as you describe. Have a look in System Preferences>Mission Control, bottom left of the window click on the 'Hot Corners' button and see if there is anything in there.

  • My screen got bigger and when I move the mouse, the screen moves as well. What can I do about this?

    My screen got bigger and when I move the mouse, the screen moves as well. What can I do about this?

    Actually as Roam said, you can keypress, Option + command + 8
    But i think wat you asking is that you dont want the screen mving when you move the mouse. Right?
    For that you can, goto, System Preference -> Accessibility -> Zoom -> More Options...
    Once you click more option, you'll get a window. Look at the bottom of the window for 3 options with bullet buttons. SELECT "ONLY WHEN THE POINTER REACHES AN EDGE" and click "DONE"
    Viola!!! You're troubl's are over!!!

  • Screen moves to right when attempting to click on screen

    Since upgrading from Mountain Lion, many times when I try to click on the screen, the entire screen moves to the right a half inch or so. I cannot click on the screen until the screen moves back to it's original position. I never had that trouble with Snow Leopard.

    Looks like you have spyware/adware installed.
    Press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice to reboot the computer and then in Firefox, go to Tools | Add-ons | Plugins and disable '''My Web Search'''. See this Wikipedia article on the subject: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_web_search
