Screen not calibrated correctly

Hi,
I've had my iPhone for ages now and have had quite a few problems with it... Cracked glass twice etc... The problem I have now is that the screen seems to have "decalibrated" itself. It doesn't register the touch where it actually happens. For example when i want to turn the iphone off, i have to swipe in the middle of the screen to control the slider which is on top... This has already happened once... Back then, I tried everything that could possibly work to fix it, numerous reboots, a restore etc. just to find that nothing works, I had it fixed by my carrier...
It happened when i was walking home,I was listening to some music, when I needed to switch to a different song it worked perfectly, but when i got home and took the iPhone out of my pocket it started having this problem again... I haven't tried restoring yet, will do, but I doubt that it will work. I've never heard of another person on Earth having this problem, yet here I am having it for the second time.
Thanks very much for replying, I love my iPhone but i feel like throwing it out of the window now...

Restore the phone. If that doesn't fix it, restore it as new. If that doesn't fix it, make an appointment at the genius bar. There is no way to re-calibrate the screen.

  • Touch Screen Not Calibrated

I am trying to set up my Palm TX and the touch screen is not calibrated correctly.  When I touch an icon on the right side of the screen, it looks as if I'm touching something on the left side of the screen.  This is very frustrating.  I've heard that I might need to do a hard reset on the Palm, but need assistance. Can anyone help me?
    Thnx

Hello and thank you for using the Palm Help Forums!
First I would go into your Preferences on the device. In there click "Touchscreen" then Allign Screen. Tap on the targets the most accurately you can. The target will shift 3-4 times during this process. After the allignment is complete see if you are experiencing the same issue. If so, you may need to hard reset the device.
I hope this is helpful and let me know how it works out.

  • LaserJet Pr0 200 color MFP M276nw Touch Screen not Working correctly

Hello, I'm having an issue with a LaserJet Pr0 200 color MFP M276nw Touch Screen not Working correctly. I have followed the instructions to reset the printer, but now am unable to select 'English' as my language because every time I select the 'English' option 'Spanish' is selected. I am then given two options to select 'Si' or 'No' both of which can not be selected on the touch screen?
Anybody know of a way round this?

    Hi @dnhowes ,
I see that you are having issues with the touch screen not working correctly. I will do my best to help you.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Was it the Nvram reset back to factory settings that you tried or a hard reset?
Try selecting the option on the display a little higher above the icon to see if that helps. Some touch screens are finicky.
I find that on the Lab printers when I am selecting different menus.

Screen not displaying correctly. It keeps moving as the mouse moves

Your problem is not the same as that of the original poster of this thread, and it can be very confusing for everybody if we try to answer more than one question in each thread.
In order for us to give your problem our undivided attention to try to solve it, would you kindly start your own thread, describing the trouble you are having in the fullest detail, including completing your details to show what Mac or iDevice you are using, what operating system, and what version of the application in question. Please remember to post in the forum relevant to your hardware or version of OS X.

  • Screen not responding correctly.

Has anyone else had issues with their screen not responding correctly.Mine is typing wrong charaters or none at all. I've updated to the latest ios. restored, reset and everything else I can think of. The phone is less than 6 months old.

Did you restore as new without the backup? If you restored as new and then restored the backup, there is a chance that something in the backup could be causing it. But frankly, that seems unlikely to me, but the only way that you could know for sure is to try restoring as new without the backup.
if you did restore as new, there isn't much else that you can do on your own. Take it to an Apple Store and let them have a look at it. It could be hardware related and there isn't anything that you will be able to do about it unless you want to have the device repaired on your own, since Apple does not repair iPads. They replace out of warranty iPads with refurbs for a cost starting at $250.00 in the U.S.

  • Screen Not Working Correctly- Horizontal Lines

For the past few weeks, when I open my computer, sometimes the bottom half of my screen is just a lot of lines or is not working correctly. Sometimes if I tilt the screen enough, it will go away. But I don't know what to do!

First step in user troubleshooting is to turn the phone off and back on. If that doesn't help, then a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will restart. If this does not solve it, then a restore from backup, and finally if necessary, a restore as a new device.
You do not indicate what iPhone version you have. You also do not say if the phone has been dropped or any user damage to the screen. If anything, you can make an appointment with the Apple Store Genius bar to get the hardware checked.

  • Outlook web login screen not displaying correctly on Exchange 2007 service pack install

    Hello everyone,
I believe our exchange server installed a service pack 3 update and after rebooting the server, we noticed that the Outlook web access login screen is not displaying correctly.  The page looks white with some black X's (I think that's where the
pictures/background images used to be).  We tried to restart the ISS service with no luck.  I would appreciate any help you guys can provide.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
I have seen this issue in another similar thread, that issue was solved by re-creating the OWA virtual directory.
Please try the following steps to solve this issue.
Open EMC, navigate to Server Configuration -> Client Access, under Outlook Web App tab, double-click owa (default web site) properties.
Then check InternalURL, ExternalURL, Forms-Based Authentication settings ect
Open EMS, use Get-OwaVirtualDirectory get the list of virtual directories and identify the directory which is giving the problem.
    Remove it with this command
    Remove-OwaVirtualDirectory “owa (Default Web Site)”
Now create it again with the following command
New-OwaVirtualDirectory -OwaVersion “Exchange2007″ -Name “owa (Default Web Site)”
Then configure the “owa” virtual directory settings like InternalURL, ExternalURL, Forms-Based Authentications etc… & check the OWA by logging with some test users.
    Best Regards.

  • OK button on parameter input screen not rendering correctly

We just recently changed intranet servers.   Both old and new servers running IIS 6 on Windows 2003 server.  I had several Crystal Reports XI Release 2 reports running on the old web server.  They were called from an ASP.NET application
On the new server, the exact same applications with the same reports seem to run correctly.  No errors and then the input parameter screen is displayed correctly except that the OK button after selecting the parameters does not display correctly in the browser.  It has a couple of small red 'x' and the word OK underlined.  Normally, this is a nice graphical button.  When I click it, it shows "Error on page" in the status line of the browser and never goes anywhere.  Normally, the OK button accepts the parameter input from the user and then displays the report.
I searched for similar answers in the forum but couldn't find any.  Please help...this one has me lost.
I upgraded to Crystal Reprots XI Release 2 SP 5 on both my workstation and on the server.

    Hi Bill,
All of the button images are located in:
    C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\3.5\crystalreportviewers115\images
Compare what your test PC has with your new server, possibly one of the images are missing.
Also, the Parameter Prompt UI is Java based, could be your Java is to old or to new. Compare this on your working PC also.
    Thank you
    Don

  • Screen not displayed correctly using InteractiveViewer

I have created a report that prompts the User for Start and End dates.  When the Prompt dialogue box is displayed using interactiveViewer the images are not displayed correctly.
Does anybody have a fix for this problem ??
    Example attached.
    Ron Smith
    DBA

My guess is that the toolbars don't show up when you view the reports either.
There should be a virtual directory called 'crystalreportviewers' on your webserver. This is where you will find all the images supplied by the viewer.
Right click on the image that is having problems and select properties.  This should give you location of the viewer.
You should be able to trouble shoot this way be comparing the actual path with the real path of the missing images.
    Hopefully this will help.

  • Variable Screen not displaying correctly

Our BW install is BI 7.0, with BEx still in the BI 3.5.  We do not have any web-based reporting.  We have deployed the SAP 7.20 GUI with front-end patch 4.  One office is testing the installation with Win 7, Office 2010.  When executing a workbook from BEx Browser it takes a long time for Excel to initialize and then when the variable screen does appear there are missing descriptions.  A mouse over or a check of the variables will repaint that screen and populate the missing descriptions.
Has anyone experienced this issue?  I have tried to recreate this issue, but I have not been successful.  The installation has been redone several times and testing is consistent.
    Thank you for your time.
    Karen

    Karen,
Thank you for your reply.  The installation of the GUI was on a PC that was completely clean.  Since this is in a test environment, the IT office had that luxury.  They did a fresh install of MS Office and then the SAP GUI.  We ran the installation check earlier today and are reviewing the results to determine why this particual install is not working.
    Thanks!

  • Multiple screens not working correctly in Leopard!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have used my Apple laptop with an external screen for years through multiple versions of MacOS.
Leopard is the first to really frustrate me!
When I disconnect my external screen (which is my primary screen when attached) all the windows migrate to my MacBook Pro, which is exactly what should happen.
    HOWEVER.
When I reconnect my external screen, you would expect one of two things to happen, either the windows would go back to their last 'dual screen' positions (ideal but it has never done this before) or move everything that is on the MacBook Pro primary screen to the new external primary screen, which is what every version of MacOS has done before.
Not Leopard, oh no, it appears to randomly leave applications/windows on either screen, it even leaves the waste bin on the secondary screen some times!!!!!!!!
This is VERY frustrating as I now have to tidy up my desktop before I can start work every time I connect/reconnect my screen!
Is there a setting I am missing or is this a genuine bug?????????

    Hello!
What OS version are you using?
And you are aware there is Shape option and a Path option for the drawing tools?

  • Captivate 6 Slide Audio screen not displaying correctly

Upon trying to rerecord a slides's audio today this screen opened up - I could record, but not save because the save button is not displaying.  I was able to record new audio on the same project on Friday.  I tried deleting and recodring new audio and the same screen came up.  I tried a different project - same thing happened.  I rebooted twice.  Any ideas?
    Thanks!
    Rachel

    Hello,
If you check the address bar of your screenshot, you will see that you are in "C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Application Data\Adobe" folder
Might be a possiblity that "Local Settings" folder is hidden, click on Tools -> Folder Options, under View tab, you have the option to "Show hidded files and folders"
You will see Local Settings folder once you click on OK, then you can access C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe and rename "Captivate 6.0" folder.
    Hope this helps !!
    Thanks,
    Vikram

The problem is that occasionally the screen will become fragmented and be all over the place and i am unable to see anything and i have to restart the laptop. Another problem that i have is that a message often pops up stating that my mac has to restart and i'm not really sure why. If anyone else has this problem and has sorted it out please let me know.

  • Mac air screen not displaying correctly

I have a Mac Air 13' screen. Recently I was using it and someone put a lemon head on the keyboard and slammed the screen down on it for no reason.
The screen is now displaying a grey screen with a white vertical line down the middle. When I turn the computer off and then back on the screen is
exactly the same. When I type I cannot see anything that I type. I have a two year warranty on my computer. I am just wanting to know if there is anytthing
that I can do without sending it in. If there is not, who or what am I supposed to call to send in the computer to fix it. Also would Ribbit computers or another computer repair store, would they be able to fix my screen without me sending it in to Apple. Any information would be appreciative and very helpful! • IPad air screen not displaying correctly

My iPad Air screen has recently started displaying with a pink hue in two of the corners, showing as a medium sized oval in one corner and a small circle in the other. There are also some vertical pink streaks that are less marked. It's really noticeable when the screen is displaying a white background. The only recent changes I have made is downloading the new IOS 8 update. There has been no trauma or damage to the iPad. It is still covered under the 1 year limited warranty. is there any way to fix this in my own?! Thank you!

    Hello there katelynlc,
It sounds like you have some graphical anomolies on your screen that have a pink hue. If it is a software issue it will be resolvable by either first resetting the iPad:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
Or backing up and restoring your iPad as a new device:
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device
If restoring as new does resolve it, restore your backup and verify it still works.
If not, then the iPad will need service:

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
