I m converting a report program into a t-code using se93.
after giving program name,description, screen number should be given, here the screen number should be given as per the system>status>screen number or v should be write call screen in the program.
i m confused wit it, i had checked the forum also.
REPORT ZWHILE1.
data: length type i value 0,
strl type i value 0,
string(30) type c value 'test string'.
strl = strlen(string).
while string NE space.
write string(1).
length = sy-index.
shift string.
endwhile.
write:/ 'strlen:',strl.
write:/ 'length of abcd:', length.
the above s my my program,i want to convert t into a tcode.
Advanced thanks....
hi,
here are the steps to create
Creating transaction code for the table:
1) Go to SE93 and Create a Tcode.
2) Click on the u2018Transaction with parametersu2019 radio button and continue.
3) Enter the Transaction as SM30.
4) Select u2018Skip initial screenu2019.
5) Enter VIEWNAME value as Table name (here Z*) and UPDATE value as X in the u2018Name of screen fieldu2019 and save.
VIEWNAME ZTABLE
UPDATE X
Note : The VIEWNAME,UPDATE and their respective values should be Capital.
If u want to create table maintenance generator then,
1) Choose Delivery and Maintainence tab..
2) Select Delivery class as u2018Cu2019.
3) Select Data browser/Table view Maint as DISPLAY/MAINTAINENCE ALLOWED.
4) Create a Function Group from SE80.
5) Select TABLE MAINTAINENCE GENERATOR from Utilities of menu bar.
6) Fill the Authorization Group as u2018&NC&u2019 and give the created Function Group.
7) Give a screen number not used as Maint Screen no (eg: 9999) and click u2018CREATEu2019(F8).

Hi
I want to add initial stocks to plant zs10 using movement type 561. But I am getting an error stating "Account determination for entry 0009 GBB ____ BSA 3000 not possible". I went into Tcode obyc for chat of account 0009 but I don't know how to proceed with this. Can anyone tell me how to rectify this error.
points will be awarded
thanks in advance
SubhashHi,
"Account determination for entry 0009 GBB ____ BSA 3000 not possible". means
You have to maintain the G/L Accounts in these combination.
Here 0009 --> Valuation Grouping Code
GBB --> Transaction Event Keys
BSA --> Account Grouping Code (General Modification)
3000 --> Valuation Class
So first you have maintain the "Valuation grouping code" and assign this VGC to Valuation area with "OMWD" transaction.
I think this u have already done.i.e is 0009 u can check it once in OMED screen against u r valuation area.
Now go to OBYC transaction
Click on the Transaction Eventy Key "GBB"
It's asks for Chart of Accounts. Enter Chart of Accounts
Now maintain the G/L Accounts in the combination of Valuation class 3000, General modification BSA, Valuation grouping code 0009
I hope that problem that you will resolve
Thanks & Regards

Thanks,
Shaik MohiuddinThis error occurs when you try to create a materialized view , but if you run the sql the results are perfectly fine. Well it happend to me also and to fix this I made sure all the coulmns have the same data type which are used in joins or in where clause.
use
where
to_number(col1)=to_number(col2) and to_number(col3)=to_number(col4)
hope this helps.. -

Issue: After approving/submitting the request, the error “Database error while using the secure store” is generated
Logs: Nothing on transactions SLG1 or ST22; however ST11 shows the error attached below:
This is the failed approval of the request:
Other scenarios executed as a workaround, and passed the password assignment this time:
The approval will work if only one password is assigned to any of the given systems. The rest of the systems get an auto-generated
password.
ARM also accepts multiple passwords when the requestor assigns passwords on the “User System Details” prior submitting a
request. The GRC admin can approve once reached for system approval.
AS FYI, “Confirm Password” is only required when creating the request but not on any other stage.

Error while using substring function
Hi,
I am getting the below error while using this query.
Substr("Fin Account".ASSET_NUM, instr(Fin Account".ASSET_NUM, ':')+1)
(nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 27002] Near <(>: Syntax error [nQSError: 26012] . (HY000)
Please help me..
Edited by: user10441472 on Jun 24, 2009 12:49 PMSubstr("Fin Account".ASSET_NUM, 1, instr(Fin Account".ASSET_NUM, ':')+1)
or
Substr("Fin Account".ASSET_NUM, instr(Fin Account".ASSET_NUM, ':')+1,50)
i think you should use 3 parameters, did you try that if it would work?
additionally check what is the default format of your data: go to column properties -> data format; if its text then ok; otherwise you will have to cast the number to char; in such a case the above could be:
Substr(cast("Fin Account".ASSET_NUM as char(20)), 1, instr(cast(Fin Account".ASSET_NUM as char(20)), ':')+1)
or
Substr(cast("Fin Account".ASSET_NUM as char(20)), instr(cast(Fin Account".ASSET_NUM as char(20)), ':')+1,50)

ORA-00902: invalid datatype comile error while using CAST function
Hi everyone,
I'm getting ORA-00902: invalid datatype compilation error while using CAST function.
open ref_cursor_list for select empName from TABLE(CAST(part_t AS partnumberlist));
The partnumberlist and ref_cursor_list is declared in the Package spec as given below.
TYPE ref_cursor_list IS REF CURSOR;
TYPE partnumberlist IS TABLE OF emp.empName%TYPE;
The error points the partnumberlist as invalid datatype in TOAD because of this i'm unable to compile the package.
Any suggestion
Thanks and regards

OSB: Cannot acquire data source error while using JCA DBAdapter in OSB
Hi All,
I've entered 'Cannot acquire data source' error while using JCA DBAdapter in OSB.

I created a basic DBAdapter in JDeveloper, got the xsd file, wsdl file, .jca file and the topLink mapping file imported them into OSB project.
Then I used the .jca file to generate a business service, and tested, then the error occurs as described above.

I don't know how to determine which server the DBAdapter is targetted to.
But I found the following information:
Under Deoloyment->DBAdapter->Monitoring->Outbound Connection Pools
Outbound Connection Pool Server State Current Connections Created Connections
eis/DB/SOADemo AdminServer Running 1 1
eis/DB/SOADemo soa_server1 Running 1 1
eis/DB/soademoDatabase AdminServer Running 1 1
eis/DB/soademoDatabase soa_server1 Running 1 1
The DbAdapter is related to the following files:
C:\ Oracle\ Middleware\ home_11gR1\ Oracle_SOA1\ soa\ connectors\ DbAdapter. rar
C:\ Oracle\ Middleware\ home_11gR1\ Oracle_SOA1\ soa\ DBPlan\ Plan. xml
I unzipped DbAdapter.rar, opened weblogic-ra.xml and found that there's only one data source is registered:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<weblogic-connector xmlns="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/90">

</outbound-resource-adapter>
</weblogic-connector>
Then I decided to use eis/DB/SOADemo for testing.
For JDeveloper project, after I deployed to weblogic server, it works fine.
But for OSB project referencing wsdl, jca and mapping file from JDeveloper project, still got the same error as follows:

You may need to configure the connection settings in the deployment descriptor (i.e. DbAdapter.rar#META-INF/weblogic-ra.xml) and restart the server. This exception is considered not retriable, likely due to a modelling mistake.
It almost drive me crazy!!:-(
What's the purpose of 'weblogic-ra.xml' under the folder of 'C:\Oracle\Middleware\home_11gR1\Oracle_OSB1\lib\external\adapters\META-INF'?
