Screen on My Creative Muvo Slim is Frozen on the Connected to PC Scr
My Muvo Slim is frozen on the screen and it when i try to accesss it using the Computer an erro comes up that says, "G:/ is not accessible. The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."? What does the mean and how can I fix it's? I have had it a while and it has woked fine. Please Help.
If your computer doesn't see the phone when you plug it in, you may have to take it to an Apple Store.

I followed the steps to restore to factory settings now I can't get back my info from a prior backup. My pads screen was frozen on the connect to iTunes I needed to restore. I had to setup my pad as if it was new. How do I acess my prior backup
Once again, KP is correct, but I just want to add that if you don't see the backup in the drop down menu on the summary page of iTunes when you choose the restore from backup option, then the backup is unfortunately gone. If you backup your computer, the iPad backup should probably be in that computer backup. I use Time Machine with my MacBook Pro and can access backups from months ago.
On a side note, I also archive backups from time to time. If you right click on a backup name in iTunes>Edit>Preferences>Devices (Windows) or iTunes>Preferences>Devices (Mac) you can save that backup or archive it. It will be date and time stamped. I have no idea why I do this to the degree that I do it, but I probably have 12-14 iPad backups archived in iTunes. -
My Ipod is plugged in, but my computer says that is unable to sync, restore, or all of the above because there is a duplicate file name. Then when I un-plug my ipod it stays frozen on the connected screen. What do I do???

The screen is frozen on the "connect to iTines" symbol. When I connect to Itunes it tells me to restore. Then it tells me that the download was corrupted.

You can try putting the ipad into DFU mode.

The BOLD may be necessary
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

i know its been awhile since this thread was active.. but anyway ... after thinking about it some more... and still having issues .. (sorry the update was frozen /i tunes not recognise etcetcetc during 5.1 update) .. I went to the troubleshooter again... did the reset thing.. checked that windows 7 actually recognised the ipod was there... then I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE TROUBLESHOOTER PROPERLY and decided to actually follow its advice fully... and UNPLUGGED any OTHER USB devices regardless of me knowing "it couldnt possibly be that!!" .. plugged in the ipod only... result.. within 10 seconds the restore screen was available and i could get the process started.... its just like waaaaaaaaaaay back in "the good old days" when RTFM and device conflicts were rife...
unplug the extra USB devices people... nothing will blow up without them for a few mins!! -
I recently bought a MuVo Slim to supplement my Zen Micro. I like to use WMP0 to organize mu music library and I use playlists heavily. I find that the best way of managing my music os to organize it in playlists the way *I* want them and then synch selected playlists with my device. This works flawlessly with my Zen Micro (using MTP firmware of course).
But this does not work at all with my MuVo Slim. WMP will transfer music OK and organize it in a folder structure like this on the MuVo Slim:
\Music\<Artist>\<Album>\<Tracn name>.mp3
This is fine except that my MuVo Slim won't recognize any music at all. I have played around a bit and moved my music files manually so it's all under one single top directory, e.g. \Music\<Track name>.mp3. The player will then find the files but there is no way to tell WMP0 to organize the music this way, neither do I want it organized like this. I assume the problem is in the firmware and lack of support for multiple subdirectories. I find little (read no) information about this in the manual or other placed I have searched.
Can anyone confirm this limit and confirm if there is a update planned that will make the device work with WMP0?
The device is useless to me right now and I'm about to send it back if there is no solution to this (using a different software to manage my music library is not a solution for me).
Anyone?I organize all my music by playlists in WMP0 and depending on my mood I would like to quickly chose which playlist to synchronize with my player. That's why I don't want to do it all manually. And besides, because of the current 2 level directory limitation of the player it won't recognize all the music when I fill the player all the way up ( GB). That is, unless I rename files and reorganize them. That's just too much of a hassle so throwing it out the windows seems the only logical choice, at least that gives me some weird sort of satisfaction.....
BTW I have a track record of destroying things that does not work as expected. I once invited both the Sales Director of Compaq in my country (before the merger with HP) and the local computer press to witness as I made a big fire of 36 Compaq laptops that my company had nothing but trouble with. The Sales Director of Compaq didn't show up but the computer press did. Needless to say it was a lot of fun.

Creative MuVo Slim 512 Mb can´t be recharg
I have only used one charge of battery of my MuVo Slim since I bought it about 0 days ago and now, I couldn?t turn it on.
When I plug it in into the USB port it the "z" marc of charging does not appear. It is like the MuVo is thinking that the battery is full (that is not true because was almost empty) and don?t want to recharge it.
After reading some posts here, I tried the "plug-unplug-battery-method" but It isn?t work yet. I installed the software that came with the device.
Any suggestions?I have tried to recharge my Muvo Slim in another computer, but unfortunately nothing happened, in other words, the muvo still not recognize the battery. If I unplugged the USB cable when the battery is in the device, the display turn on for a few seconds and then the empty-battery-alert appears and turn off the mp3 player.
What else can I do? -
I tried synching my phone to apply an update, but the screen has frozen with the itunes symbol. Is there a way I can unfreeze the screen, can anyone help please?

Alright, so what had happend to cause this, let me just sum it up for you in the steps I took.
Turn on iTunes.
Plug iPhone into the laptop in order to be recognized by iTunes.
Start to update the phone onto iOS7.
Message pops up saying I have to download latest version of iTunes.
Download iTunes update.
Try again to download iOS7 update onto the phone.
Says that it'll take around 2 hours to complete, so I wait.
After about 45 minutes to an hour later, it says that there was an error that had occured.
Screen on the iPhone remains stuck now on the part where it says "Preparing the download..."
After another hour or so it then switches onto the "Connect to iTunes" screen and remains there.
iTunes isn't recognizing that I'm plugging it in.
Already tried troubleshooting it with my laptop and it said that both "Apple Mobile Device Drivers weren't responding."
Decide to look more into it and find out that in order to fix that problem, I'd have to uninstall iTunes (in a specific order at that)
After uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, I plug the phone back into my laptop, and now it's making the noise that I'm plugging it in, but it still isn't showing up onto iTunes.
So there you have it. I really hope that this gives you any insight as to what my situation is at hand. So... Please help? :/Thank you for your reply. Yes, I had been looking in e-mail accounts and there was no sent folder. However, your email prompted me to check again just now and the sent folder has reappeared and the last message I just sent a few minutes ago is in there. Thank you. I guess after re-establishing the account it just takes a couple of hours?

I bought my iphone 4 in Australia on contract and unocked it. then i came to Singapore and its been working fine for the past 10 months, but only recently i updated my phone for the first time and it would not recognise my sim card. so i connected my phone to my computer, and when itunes opened it told me that my sim card was not recognised on my phone. now i thought by updating my phone apple recognised that it was unlocked so they just locked it again. i didnt understand the difference between jailbreak and unlocking a phone. so during the state of the phone being my normal screen page with no sim shown, i tried jailbreaking the phone so it could work again with my sim card from singapore, but as it re booted, it froze on the emergency screen with the attached to itunes screen. now i dont know what to do? my phone is locked, i cant use it and its extremely frustrating as i need to use my computer asap. please help me asap!

i connected my iphone 4s to itunes to upgtrade it but it got stuck on the "connect to itunes" screen whether its connected to itunes or not ive tries restoring it but a message comes up that says phone is still in restoring mode but when i connect it to itines again it wont restore itll stop halfway and says iphone could not be restored and there is an error number 1604 . what should i do?
