Screen Painter and RFC connection issue

Hello,
I get the following error when I try to start screen painter:
EU_SCRP_WN32 : timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPCMRCV'
I have installed all sapgui components and when I test the rfc connection it
starts the program but then sends the same error.
I think it's got something to do with the fact that I'm trying to start this
program through a saprouter because when I start it locally (within my LAN)
the program starts without problems.
I have already applied latest kernel patch.
Could you suggest what could I do to complete my RFC connection? Should I
put something under gateway host or gateway service?

The issue here is that I don't know how to establish de gateway option
considering I'm using saprouter to connect to sap system.
Well... If you are asking how to "enable" gateway option then...
You go to SM59 > Open EU_SCRP_WN32 > Go to "Technical Setting" tab
Click on change option.
Put the Gateway host IP address or Host name (SAP Server) > Save
Check the connection by "Connection Test" option.

Performance with MySQL and Database connectivity toolbox

Hi!
I'm having quite some problems with the performance of MySQL and Database connectivity toolbox. However, I'm very happy with the ease of using database connectivity toolbox. The background is:
I have 61 variables (ints and floats) which I would like to save in the MySQL-database. This is no problem, however, the loop time increases from 8ms to 50ms when using the database. I have concluded that it has to do with the DB Tools Insert Data.vi and I think that I have some kind of performance issue with this VI. The CPU never reach more the 15% of its maximum performance. I use a default setup and connect through ODBC.
My questions are:
1. I would like to save 61 variables each 8-10ms, is this impossible using this solution?
2. Is there any way of increasing the performance of the DB Tools Insert Data.vi or use any other VI?
3. Is there any way of adjusting the MySQL setup to achieve better performance?

First of all, thank you very much for your time. All of you have been really good support to me.

Database is on the same computer as the MySQL server.
The loop saves 61 values at once to the database, in one SQL-statement.
I have now added the front panel and block diagram for my test-VI. I have implemented the queue system and separate loops for producer and consumer. However, since the queue is building up faster then the consumer loop consumes values, the queue is building up quite fast and the disc starts working.
The test database table that I add data to is created by a simple:
create table test(aa int, bb char(15));
...I'm sure that this can be improved in some way.
I always open and close the connection to the database "outside the loop". However, it still takes some 40-50 ms to save the data to the database table - so, unfortunatly no progress to far. I currently just want to save the data.
Any more advise will be gratefully accepted.

I run Dev 6i on Windows 2008 R2 64-bit,the forms are working fine after connection to the database but the reports continue to request for username, password and database connection string every time i try to open a report.

I receive REP-0501: Unable to connect to specified database. I run developer 6i application on windows 2008 r2. I have applied the nn60.dll and nnb60.dll files to the \BIN directory. The forms are working fine. The reports will only display after the correct user id (username, password and database connection string) is supplied. This is happening to all attempts to open already complied form. Pls, help.

If you are connecting to an Oracle 11g database, remember that by default the passwords are case sensitive. To disable that, run
ALTER SYSTEM SET SEC_CASE_SENSITIVE_LOGON = FALSE;

Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.

Screen Painter and Menu Painter Translations

Hello All,
I want to translate the Screen painter and Menu Painter Objects .
When I go to the SE41 and select the PF Status of my Program and press change Button I'm getting the following msg :
Make repairs in foreign namespaces only if they are urgent .
If I press Ok and select the Menu path : Goto --> Translation .
The Translation options is in deactivated mode.
How to do the Translation now ?

- Header to translate the title of attribute of the screen;
- Texts to translate the label of the input/ouput fields

I have created a Table Control in a Screen Painter and I need help to fill it.
I assign to the Table Control a field of an internal table but when I try to activate it i receive the followin error:

Screen Painter and SDK

Hi,
I've developed a form in the screen painter. I want to add the business logic from SDK. Is it possible...it should be right?
I have a very complex form with around 20-25 edit boxes and one grid. The issues
I have designed the form in the screen painter and am trying to access the edit boxes from SDK. the code snippets is like
oForm = SBO_Application.Forms.GetFormByTypeAndCount("60004", 0)
When i try to access it says form not found. sbo_appl.forms.activeform worked, but when i used
oEdit = oForm.Items.Item("9").Specific
in the next line, it says 9 is not a valid feild.

Enabling Usage Rights for Web Service and Database connectivity

We are looking for code that allows us to enable web service and database connectivity rights into a form. We are using LiveCycle Forms 7.2 to render the XDP and merge data. Because we are merging data into the form, it has to be reader enabled through the code everytime it is presented to the user in our application.

Difference between screen painter and module pool

As its said by many colleagues in SDN , there are not very major differences between Modulepools and screen painter .
The few differences are :
1) Module pool is nothing but a pool ( series ) of screens . and Screen painter ( SE51 ) is a tool used for creating/designing screens .
2) While creating a modulepool you even need to create a transaction and assign this module pool program else the mpool program doesnt work . I think this is place we can say they are different .
3) If at all you create a screen in screen painter ( SE51 ) , that doesnot function by its own , you need to assign it to any of the executable programs or modulepool programs .Here is again a difference .

(IMP)Application module and database connection

Hi,
How application module pooling and database connection pooling is working ?
Currently i m facing a problem like if i am creating 10 browser session then it doesn't mean that i'll have only 10 db sessions. While closing the browser session of application module time out respective db session is not removed.
In this case, invalid db session are created in bulk which is crashing database sometime. We have writter script to kill those session periodically but in this case if application module is accessing such dbconnection then we are getting session killed error or not logged in error.
To over come we need to bounce the server (middle tier).
Is there any proper way to solve this or am i doing something wrong ?

In screen painter I am unable to attach the folder with the respective matrix. Please give the complete method to attach the above mentioned.

I am not too sure what you want to know, but if you want a matrix to be displayed only on a specific folder you should do the following. I am going to show you the code, but you can do parts of it in screenpainter as well. In screen painter you cannot display it like you would at runtime.
On your matrix you would set the PaneFrom and PaneTo properties. To only set it visible on the first folder:

How to use sql request with Jdev and database connection

I have a login page with simple username and password inputsecret text and a button validate! I would like, when the user click on the validate button, to check in the database that the user and password matches. I've done the "Method BIndind..." with the commandButton_action and the database connection works fine.
How can I use an already existing procedure, say authenticate, wich is stored in the database to authenticate my user ?
Do I have to create a jdbc connection in java even if I've done the connection with the "create new database connection" wizard ?

Creating a connection to the DB in JDeveloper doesn't mean that your application is now connected to the DB - so yes you do need to create a connection to the database using JDBC.
One note - if you are trying to do a database user authentication the following is probably the better way to go about it:

Screen Painter and existing forms

Hi all,
Is it possible to save one of the existing forms, for example, the item master form to an xml file that can be manipulated in the screen painter? If it is possible, how would I do it?

Hey Ram,
You will have to handle the click on the choose from list button (not sure of the item ID, use the debug information and mouse over to find it). You will also have to handle the key down tab event (CHAR = 9) and open your form as well.
To stop business one from handling these events you will have to do it on the before and set bubblevent = false

If there is I don't know about it, but I also never tried it.
Is some cases I've emulated the CFL behavior with the following steps.
1. Catch the Validate event ;
2. If the Key Pressed to exit the field is the TAB key, open a form - lets call it CFLForm - with the possible values;
3. Catch the double-click event or the "Select" button pressed event
4. Write the value if the base form's field and close the CFLForm form.
