Screen painter space between two element in one line

Hi Experts,
i am developing a RF program with screens of size 16linesX20columns. limited space should be used . But when i create more than one element in one line , one space is always present between two elements,and the space can not be deleted or overlaped. because of this, elements can not get enought columns.
i am sure that elements can be adjacent without space in the past time. i am not sure space appear after what changes was done by me...
can you please give some suggestion if you also have the same issue.

Can you elaborate which screen elements are you using.
You can place screen elements one after another in a single line without any spaces.

If I create narrative view it will be another view. And if I put that in between that two pivot view, it will show the space. I need to remove space between two pivot table within a single report so that it can appear as a single pivot view.

How to hide empty space between two pages.

Hi.
I want to hide the grey space between two pages in Pages, so the last line of the top page could join directly the first line of the bottom page for quicker reading... Is it possible? Is their a way to stick pages tray to tray without the default empty grey space? This option was possible in Word 2007...

Is your document in Layout view?
Under the View menu, Hide Layout:
This doesn't hide all the grey space, but it stops the grey in the layout margins.

How to eliminate the space between two analysis in the Dashboard?

Hi All,
I have created a Dashboard which contains 12 analyses arranged vertically. When i see the report in the dashboard section it contains some standard space between each analysis. So it looks like separate separate analysis arranged in dashboard. But i want it to look a single table is it possible by reducing the space between every analysis? If possible please let me know how to achieve this in clear manner.

if you make a modification of the Dashboardlayout in the file PortalContent.css like

width: 100%;
border-width: 1px;
border-style: none;
border-color: #CECECE;
There will be no more borders. However the gap exists but the look of the 2-section report might look better.
There is an ER raised at the Oracle Support.

You first need to define what you consider to be "whitespace". Is it just a space? Is it spaces and linefeeds? What about carriage returns? Tabs? Anything non-alphabetic and/or non-numeric?
As mentioned previously, the Search and Replace String can be used to delete characters by wiring an empty string to the replace string input. The following, for example, will delete all spaces:
If you need to delete other whitespace characters, just call it again on the resulting string.

Create blank screen space between two ALV grids

You don't have link the two containers.
I guess you have a grid and tree control that you want to display. So, use a different container for each of these controls, so that they appear differently.
If you don't want space in between them, you can have one container and split that into and display the tree and grid in each of the split portions.
The advantage with this will be you can resize the tree/grids using the vertical line that separates them.
Take a look at WE02 transaction to see what I am trying to explain.

Printed colour is different between two elements both created in pages with the same colour

Hi There,
I have been having some issues getting a text colour to match a logo (imported in pdf format) - While trying to discover what was happening I created a sample colour of (HSB 189 / 89 / 73) in pages and saved it in my colours palette to test.
Now if I create some text (in pages) and a shape (also in pages) and colour them from the same colour sample/swatch and print it - the colours are clearly very different, Does pages do some kind of text colour correcting or weirdness that I cant find? Its hard to believe this is the desired workflow and its very anoying.
PS. I have also tried printing from a pdf and I have the same issues - That said the two colours look identical in pages and the pdf on screen.
I'd be extremely grateful for any help

Which although is helpful and may explain the behavious of the imported logo pdf vs the text it doesn't (I dont think) explain how two elements both created in pages using the same colour (from pages) would be dfferent?

They are both coming out at the exact same colour (CMYK 83, 0, 21, 0) which is correct however they are not the same colours when printed, Im begining to think this is less of a pages thing (as the output is correct) but something is going wrong between pdf/pages and print
Its not the easiest thing to see so you may have to take my word for it - but the two colours are not the same by quite a long way (Theres way more contrast in real life)
I think Im ready to admit defeat on this but thanks a bunch for your help!

Space between two hyphens

I am writing an html file in TextEdit. When I write a comment  the space between the two hyphens (--) disappears automatically and becomes one which makes the comment dysfunctional. Can anyone help me fix this? It happens when I write in TextEdit.

Textedit is intended as an editor to edit text and as such has settings that make text editing easier, such as turning two hyphens into a long dash.
While these features can be turned off or modified to let you more easily edit programs I recommend you get an editor designed to edit programs. Bare Bones Software | TextWrangler is a good free editor that will make your programming life a lot easier.
As for this specific problem look in Textedit's preferences and turn off smart dashes, that should fix this. But as I wrote if you do much programing you should get a different editor.
