Screen protector signal issues for iPhone 4?

I've been having the same problem with my iPhone 4 for a while now. The phone is perfect otherwise but on most occasions while using the phone i've been experienceing a loud crackling noise when making noise when making/recieving calls or no sound at all (no ringing and can't hear the other person speaking) however the speakers/mic work fine..
I've had a matte screen protector on the front of my iPhone ever since i've started using it and just recentley removed it and the phone is working perfect with the crackling/no sound problem gone! I have perfect clairity when making calls!
I was just wondwering is this possible that the screen protector could have caused this? To me I believe it has as the issue is now gone but my family don't think this is the case as it doesn't sound very likely a piece of plastic could do this?
Also if anyone could suggest a screen protector that could help prevent this from happening again I'd be very greatful. I think I might have to trial and error but some suggestions on where to start would be appreciated! My previous protector that I believe caused me this problem was the Power support HD anti-glare film ser for iPhone 4

It's hard to believe a screen protector can cause such a problem, I still think it's tricky to blame the problem on your screen protector.
Maybe you could try some super thin screen protector and see if the same problem would happen again. If it does, then it's definitely something wrong with your iphone.

The installers use water to get the air bubbles out of the film. Looks like they got a little heavy handed with yours. You warranty is now voided (there are moisture indicators in the phone). You will need the screen protector people to replace your phone.
Since they will likely decline, if you are in the US, threaten to file a claim on their insurance for damaging your property in thier control.

Basics from the manual are reset, restart, restore.
Another good troubleshooting step is Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Network Settings.
Also, remove and reseat the SIM card.
Do others in your area with the same carrier have issues?
Has the carrier been contacted to rule out network issues?
Has anything been done to narrow down the problem instead of jumping to the conclusion that it's an iPhone issue?

Yes so do they because I recieved a 5C as a gft, but got screen protectors for the 5. I don't want to open the pacakage if they don't fit. Also, I thought the 5C was a different shape than the 5 and 5S, that's why the protectors wouldn't fit.

Hello. Skydiver pretty much said it all! Don't know that I have anything more other than another voice in the dark. You really should get the case that is meant for your iPod. The phones look like the iPod but they are different dimensions and buttons are in different places. The screens are glass and glass breaks and scratches, etc. Unfortunately the cases that protect the glass as well as the body of the iPod will have rubber and add some bulk. As for falls and drops, any fall / drop may do damage if it hits the road so to speak the right wrong way, even with a case, but your odds of survival without damage are better with a case.
I have a Griffin Survivor it's day glow yellow and black, makes it easy to find. One of the benefits of the rubber, makes holding on to my iPod easier, and it keeps the iPod from slipping falling out of my pocket when I bend over. The seals on the ports have kept mine clear of stuff in the ports and kept the weather off my iPod. I know this is starting to sound like a commercial but I'm happy with my case. I have beat the snot out of it, dropped it on rocks, spilled tea on it, been caught in the rain and snow, gone dirt biking, rolled it down a flight of stairs in a backpack with a glass bottle of tea, (remember the tea), the bottle broke, tea on everything, ruined everything, but just wiped the iPod off and still going, and worst of all... left it in the hands of a 6 year old, so far, so good. Something to note some cases state they are waterproof and some say they are watertight, waterproof means spill something on it or get wind driven rain on it your most likely protected (the Survivor is waterproof) but drop it in the toilet and your all wet. Altitude/cold issues for iPhone 4?

I've had an iPhone for the past 3 years, and have updated this past weekend to the latest edition (4). I've been singing the praises of the phone at work for a few years now and have almost convinced my boss to get one. He just came into my office and we talked about this issue:
He's a mountain climber. He needs a new GPS, but has heard the iPhone has a GPS chip in it. His understanding is that the phone has GPS issues above 10,000 and below 32 degrees., He is subjected to both conditions on serious climbs. Is there an app that can help him despite the temps/altitude? Is the 10,000/32 just a rough number?
Any mountain climbers out there that can assist me?

Not sure how an App can alter any of that. A good case may but still face altitude issues.

Signal booster for iPhone / AT&T domestic service

ITunes Downloading Issue for iPhone Update 4.3

I have an iPhone 4, and I'm running a MacBook Pro on Snow Leopard. For the past three hours, I've been trying to update my iPhone 4 to 4.3, and halfway through each update, iTunes disconnects the download, and I try to resume the download, but it won't pick up from the original point. It just restarts the download rather than resume. I have a pretty mediocre connection as it stands, but I can get this downloaded in a timely manner. I'm just wondering why it won't resume and restarts instead more than anything.
Any answers are much appreciated!

Not sure exactly what you mean by mediocre but once the connection is dropped then the download has to start from scratch.
Try restarting your iPhone and your Mac. Then try updating to 4.3

Signal booster for iPhone 4 in Japan

Does anyone know what I can do to boost my signal in Japan. I have a softbank iPhone 4 and at home the signal is terrible. I have heard of booster antennas you can buy. Can anyone recommend one or a solution?

If you were on AT&T, I'd say go get yourself a micro-cel. I don't know if Verizon has such a thing. you'll need to ask them about it, but I have not heard of a CDMA micro-cell.
Are you having problems placing or receiving calls? or are you just concerned about the low number of "bars". If you're not having a problem with calls, I wouldn't worry about it.

PS. Inline functionality works great on the iPad. However, on iPhone without the above property setting, the video.play() javascript call will trigger the fullscreen player, isolating the video and any javascript eventListeners completely from AIR.

Seems like the closest way to get there would be the UIwebview Native Extension. But the examples on the website are pretty vague as to it's use. (at least for a non-C coder like myself)

Cellular data usage does not reflect any usage. I would like to track my usage on the phone.

Ok before I updated my Iphone too Ios 6 I could read work information speadsheets from the email attached to the phone. Now (after updating my phone to Ios 6) I can not read those same emails. The spread sheet still appears, most of the information is readable. But the core information has a zore-sum code in the box. Not sure what too call it. I have tried the "letter opener" app, but gives me the same problem. I am pretty sure the email are a outlook express file.

A week or so ago somebody posted a simeila/same problem. It seems that iOS 6 no longer reads/displays Excel speadys geneated with older versios of Excel.
You can try:

- Reset all settings

Screen and GPS issues on iPhone 5

We received a certified iPhone 5 back in March '14 and the touchscreen constantly "acts up" either becoming nonresponsive or phantom typing even after a new iOS upgrade and multiple soft and hard resets. Also, the GPS, when activating maps or an app like Map My Run needs to be calibrated every single time the app is started. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I am so sorry to hear that your are having issues with your iPhone. By certified do you mean the device was purchased as a certified pre-owned device or was this a replacement device? Does the device have any physical or water damage? Was there an app or software update processed around the time these issues began?
