Screen protector with privacy

I purchased a screen protector for my 2G and it came with a privacy 'thingy'. Sorry dont know the right term. Anyone have any experience with these and would recommend a brand. (I can't remember where/what I purchased and cant'find anything by search the topics)
I really adored being able to peruse my phone email, etc., and the person next to me could not see what I was doing. Thnaks

3M makes privacy film, but you would need two, since landscape needs a different orientation.

  • Is it save to apply invisible sheild screen protector with the provided liquid? I'm worried about water damage to my 4s

Is it safe to apply a invisible sheild screen protector with the liquid provided? I'm worried it will cause liquid damage to my 4s

Avoid the dock connector and the headphone port. That's where the water sensors are located. Just apply a very small amount of liquid for the InvisiShield or whatever it is.

  • Need a screen protector with Musemee Notier stylus?

I have an Ipad Air 2 which I love, and am looking for the right app/stylus combination to take notes.  Lots of apps are good -- the issue is the stylus.  I've tried several and just got the Musemee Notier which is spectacular.  But the screen protector I purchased as a safeguard did not apply well and I am going to return it.
Does anyonen know if  I need aa screen protector with a high precision stylus such as the Musemee Notier?
    Thanks!

    Hey
I just boght the new Air 2. Does the Musemee Notier v2 work with the Air 2?
I'm searching the right Stylus to take notes at university and i found nothing about the Musemee and the Air 2.
    Greetings!

  • Best screen protector with long lasting oleophobic coating?

Which is best screen protector with long lasting oleophobic coating? I know tech armour and nilkin for example.

I'm not sure anyone here could answer that difinateively but my 2 cents would be that an actual adhesive could perhaps right away or over time interfere with the factory coating...
There are a lot of screen protectors that rely on static cling that work just fine like the ones I use found at the link below... I've used those since the first iPhone I put a cover on years ago and have never been dissappointed at all...

  • Should I use a Screen Protector with Otterbox Defender or Griffin Survivor?

I bought both of these rugged cases and keep hearing that the actual cases can scratch the phones.  Should I use a screen protector on the phone face and back as well?  I assume that may not fit in the cases if I do that.  Anyone have any experience with these cases?

I have the Ghost Armor (same as ZAGG's invisibleSHIELD) installed on my Iphone and my otterbox defender will be here today (anytime) I will let you know how it goes or how it fit as soon as my defender get delivered by FedEx.
Do you have the shield on the front and back?  I read they do not fit in the Otterbox with both.  I would bet one side may fit.  I think if you use a thin one like the Verizon site has (PureGear Display Protectors) on the front I bet it will fit.  I have the Survivor case and have not head a chance to try the shield with it.  I got the phone, and first threw it in that case.  I know what to get a shield on it if possible.  Please let me know if it fits.

  • Ipad Screen protector with impact protection?

I need to get a Protection for my ipad and iphone5 from my kids, and I came a cross Rhino Shield on marshable.
    http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1081571316/rhino-shield-the-impact-resistant -screen-protector
looks very good indeed, and this is what i want. The question is has anyone has any experience with this Screen protector before?

Just keep the screen clean by blowing or brushing off dust and debris before and after use and when stored and you should be fine. The Apple case is a nice case but it does not keep debris and dust away from the glass since it simply sits on top of the screen with no seal. In addition to the Apple case get one of those very inexpensive foam zipper bags which will not only keep dust and debris away but will protect it from drops and bumps while traveling and storing.
Do not use microfiber cloths. A fluffy 100%cotton piece of towel is what you should use to gently wet clean and dry it with. Do not reuse your cleaning cloths. Wash before using them again. I keep a small ziploc bag with a few cut pieces of towel inside in my iPad zipper case.
I used to be seriously into photography and had many expensive lenses with much more delicate glass than the iPad's and these are the things I did and never once did i scratch a lens. The iPad has such a gorgeous screen that is a shame when it is covered. I have had mine since they came out and my glass looks brand new. The cause of scratches is not through typical use but because a harder than glass piece of debris gets in between the glass and whatever else is pressing against that debris, usually not your finger. Just keep it clean before and after use and keep it in a sealed case in addition to your Apple case and the chances of scratching the screen will be almost zero.
The ipads on display in stores are very rarely scratched even after thousands of people touching and using them every day. That shows how tough the display actually is.

  • Do you recommend using a screen protector with the new ipad?

I just got an ipad with retina display.  I am wondering if I need to get a screen protector for it?

A screen protector can also significantly degrade the touch screen experience.  I know one very talented sketch artist you does some amazing art on her iPad and she says she cannot do it on anything but a naked iPad screen as otherwise the screen looses too much sensitivity.
They also make most stylus work poorly too, for the same reason (I use a stylus a lot with NoteShelf and Note Anytime for work stuff, and a screen protector really interfers with it).
Just to warn you that, depending on how you use it and the type of apps you use, you may find them more or a problem then a solution to anything.

  • Iphone 6 screen protector with exact cutouts

Been looking for a good screen protector for the iPhone 6.  However all I am seeing are ones with a full cutout for the home button.  I find them kinda ugly. Would like it to just have the circle cutout for the home button.
Has anyone come across one without the large cutouts?
Thanks and I look forward to your reply.

I just got my illoome screen protector today And it has the very precise cut outs. The sides and edges are covered

  • Incase slider case with a screen protector....

I was wondering if anyone has the Incase Slider case yet...and if so, is anyone using a screen protector with it? If so...which one are you using and do you have any issues with getting the case on with a screen protector on? The reason I'm asking is because I was using the ifrogz luxe case and I could not find a screen protector that I could get the case on without the screen protector coming back up at the edges. I now have the Incase Slider case and before I waste anymore money trying to get another screen protector, I'd like to find one that works without coming up at the edges. Anyone have any recommendations on what is working for them? Thanks in advance!

i just recently bought the incase slider since they are new to market for the iPhone 4. when i bought the incase slider from best buy i also purchased the zagg invisible shield and i asked if they could install it for me cuz im bad at doing those kind of things and the guy from best buy mobile said that he would be more than happy to install it. It costs another $8 for them to install it for you (generally takes 15-20 min to install but they do a really good job). By the time he finished i had to wait a day for the invisible shield to fully dry but once it was i slid the incase slider case on my iPhone 4 and it fit perfectly without the screen protector coming up.

  • IPad 2 smart cover, mine is falling to bits and has stained my screen protector. Anyone else had the same problem?

iPad 2 smart cover. Mine is falling apart and has marked my screen protector with black lines. Anyone else experienced this?

Mine has worked fine.  What model do you have, the leather or the other?  I've read of others using screen protectors like Zagg absorbing some of the dye.  Of course considering the cost they are to produce ($12 is what I read for the leather) it doesn't surprise me some of the dye is coming out.  I have wiped my black leather down with high grade leather cleaner / oil and you can clearly see it on the rag.

  • New LG Cosmos 2 --should I get screen protector?

I just got the LG Cosmos 2. For those who have it, has the screen been easily scratched?  I'm wondering if i should get a screen protector for it.   I've used (and liked) InvisibleShield on my iPod., but they are a bit pricy. ($14.99 USD) Any other suggestions?

Prior to putting a Verizon brand screen protector onto our Samsung u370 touchscreen phone, the advice in post # 48 was helpful to me; some of the other posts following that one also have some helpful information
    http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-storm-f86/dont-buy-verizon-screen-protectors-98881/index4.html
Even if you're wearing latex gloves, try your best to not touch the side of the screen protector with the adhesive -- some substance invisible to my eyes that was on the fingertips of a new pair of latex gloves prevented the screen protector from sticking to the screen after I touched the adhesive side.
So far we've been happy with the Verizon brand screen protector.

  • Apple say no to screen protectors?

When i bought my new iPhone 5 the guy in apple told me they dont install screen protectors and if i want one installed i have to go to another shop in Bondi Junction. I was amazed that they are told by their managers not to recommend screen protectors as the glass in "scratch proof", which is rediculous as my last 4S screen was scratched VERY BAD. So i went to this shop and they did it perfectly in less than a minute i couldn't believe it. A pretty girl served me and i bought a nice cover off her too. They are in Westfield. I just don't know why Apple are told not to sell screen protectors?!

Do they not sell them or just not install?
I tried a screen protector with my first iPhone 3G, looked like crap after about a month.  Peeled it off and have never used one since.

  • Screen protector covers Ipad microphone

I have had people telling over the past two years that they could not hear me well while using skype on my Ipad. I finally decided to investigate ... :-)
I discovered that the microphone is next to the front camera on my Ipad 2. Well, guess what? The screen protector is covering it!! I did a skype call test before and after poking a hole in my screen protector with a pin after lifting the screen protector, and pushing upwards away from the Ipad. There was a STARK difference. Problem solved!
I have since looked at all other screen protectors and all do not provide a hole for the microphone!!!
Anyone else had this problem? This is likely to solve your problem. I think we need to contact screen protector manufacturers and let them know...

The microphone is on top of the device.
It is not on the front.

  • Sgp oleophobic vs power support crystal screen protectors...

Ok ive had power support since thevery first iPhone came out...ive also used theanti-glare in certain times...ive also used body guardz and zagg...
Now i have a zagg full body minus the screen sheild inside the apple bumper for my iphone 4...
I already have the power crystal film on it...but i saw a screen protector with an oleophobic coating made by SGP...but then Power Support said their hard coat resists fingerprints too...
Do both of them have oleophobic coating then?

Ok...i recieved my sgp oleophobic protector...easy install like the power support...look somewhat clearer...after installing and removing the protective cover from the front of the protector...it felt like sliding your fingers on plastic wrap...it was not smooth...until i moistened the lint free cloth wipedit a bit...now it smooth as glass...i guess it had some left over sticky residue...now i can say its a bit better than power support...
This thing feels like the iphone screen, the power support felt plasticy a bit...plus i got the same oleophobic coating on it...awesome!!!

  • Clear screen protector application - air bubble removal

I have bought many clear screen protectors and often have had issues trying to get the air bubbles out from the screen protectors. Sometimes, dust is underneath the protect and when I try to clean it out using the cloth included with the protector, it gets even more dust and then the protector becomes useless. Is there any recommendations on how to best avoid getting air bubbles underneath your screen protector?

I just received and installed the Incipio Feather case on my iPhone 4. I had it on my 3G and liked it as it is a very slim, unobtrusive case and is like a hard plastic core with a matte, slightly rubbery, velvety surface. I had installed Zagg first, but was displeased with the orange peel surface on the front. I left the Zagg on the back as I do feel it will offer good protection from the back and removed it from the front. The case fit with no problems. The incipio feather comes with 2 hard clear screen protectors with a hole for the front camera, and the front protectors are MUCH better than having the rubbery, lumpy Zagg on the front screen and don't require any liquid to apply. I was hoping I would get one crystal screen protector and one matte protector as I did when I used Power Support screens in the past, but they are both clear. The surface is smooth and nice. I don't have any loss of signal now when I hold the phone in my palm cupping the lower left side. I probably slightly prefer the matte power support screen as it is easier to keep clean, but power support is not shipping yet. If I had to do it over again I would skip the Zagg and just get the incipio. Just my 2 cents and thought I'd share my experience.
