Screen recording small app requested

The Screen Recording toolbar in Android 4.4.4 is really helpful, but I would like to access it through the small apps bar. For instance, it is much easier to start the Screen shot function from the small app than through the power on/off button.
In the same way, I request a small app to access the floating Screen Recorder toolbar, instead of through the Power on/off button.
For the programmer who knows how to make a small app, that should be fairly simple.

  • QT Screen Recording audio app + narration

I'm trying to create a QT Screen Recording where the app in question is an audio app - the only audio recorded is the microphone. One solution is to use Soundflower. Soundflower itself is simple.. after installing, use Garageband's audio preferences to output to Soundflower, and set QT's Screen Recording audio input to Soundflower. This sends all the GB audio directly to QT.
However, that excludes the Mac's own microphone and anything I might wish to say - and record.
An Audio Midi Setup "aggregate device" allegedly allows multiple sound sources to be mixed together. I created one using the Mac's microphone and the Soundflower audio source (i.e. Garageband output).
    A block diagram would be:
    Garageband audio out>Soundflower
Aggregate device: Mac Mic + Soundflower (Garageband output)
Aggregate device is set as the QT audio input device - except it doesn't show up in the Record tool!!
And what should the System Audio Output be set to during QT recording?
Soundflower offers another piece supposedly offering audio mixing called SoundflowerBED. It's running up in my Menu bar, but the choices it offers are cryptic.
    Any wisdom on this???
    thanks - Karl out West

Can I record audio when screen recording?
Depends on which app you are using and what form of audio you want to record. E.g., QT X can record audio via the line in or built-in microphone option but not the system audio. On the other hand, an application like Snapz Pro X can record microphone and/or the Mac system audio.
Are there settings for the quality of recording, etc?
QT X has two quality presets from which to choose. Third-party screen capture apps may have other options. E.g., Snapz Pro X allows the user to select any of audio and/or video compression options for which the system is configured for final output.

So it isn't just me - I can't see a little pencil on my Z2's task manager either!
I can't find any type of note/memo jotting app on my Xperia Z2 either. Google searches seem to suggest that earlier versions of the Xperia have this?

  • Screen Recording App

I am in need of a simple/quick screen recording app. I have used a few in the past but they were all removed by Apple from the store, why?  Is Apple against screen recording apps for some reason?  If a quality app was added to the store do you think it would it be removed?

Launch QuickTime Player (it’s in your Applications folder). Now select New Screen Recording from the File menu, or type control-command-N. A small screen recording window will appear, like so:
Click the little triangle on the right side of the window to adjust microphone and mouse click options. When ready, click the record button in the center of the window. Click and drag a section of the screen to record part of the screen or just click to record the entire screen. Once you do that, click to start recording. Click the stop button that appears in the menu bar to stop recording.

  • Feature request: Remove/hide small apps

Hi, hopefully there's some way to forward this along to the xperia android dev team!  I'm sure that some people find the small apps feature useful, but I do find it to be in the way, especially since the lollipop update, where the app cards have become larger and a search bar has been added to the task switcher screen, putting vertical space at more of a premium.  Also you can see the transparent menu bar car be quite useful, but is blacked out on xperia software, I've added a comparison with normal lollipop software in the left.  So an option to disable the small apps feature would make this page a lot more useful, I would hope it will be included in a future update.

That's a nice idea of a new feature, will be quite faster if you contact Sony directly with the same suggestion:

  • Screen recorder apps scam?

    Hi,
I recently downloaded several screenrecorders and what I found was that they are essentially all the same, like in they all seem to use the same code. Most of them are made either by Yuchen, David Pete or Brad Bertram.
Sound recording through the computer doesn't work at all and some bought apps are worse than the free ones
Like Screen Recorder Tool works fine (except for the computer audio) but Video Flow costing 7,99 euros is crap and guess what: Both are from the same developer! (David Pete)
So, is this some sort of scam or something?

You should have read the apps' descriptions and user ratings. All sales on the App Store are final. http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#APPS

  • Is there a screen recording app?

Pls anyone? Know a screen recording app?

ScreenFlow is good, i also bought Camtasia...but its not as great (but cheaper)

  • On Screen Recording App?

    Hello All.
I am looking for a downloadable app where I can record things on my iPhone. Kinda like
Fraps, mostly because I wish to record games as in for EG, Temple Runner 2. I also wish
to Edit the videos as well as add other recordings into one. I don't care if the app is free or
not, as long as it's under around 3$

There are a number of ways I can think of:
Video record the screen with a video camera
Airplay the device to a Mac and record using Mac screen recording software
If you're an app developer, run your app in the iOS app simulator and record that on your Mac
Airplay the device to an AppleTV, plug the AppleTV output into a device that can record HDMI signals.
    There may be more.

  • Screen recording of AIR app on Windows desktop

I have developed an Adobe AIR application for windows desktop that runs at 60fps, full HD (classic display list, not Starling). I would like to record this app being used for promotional purposes, and have tried Camtasia and Action! Recorder (with software encoders), but neither of these achieve the required frame rate.
    My PC configuration is:
    i7-3930K @ 3.20GHz
    32GB RAM
    Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
    2 x NVidia GT 440 graphics cards
    500GB SSD
If I upgrade my Nvidia graphics card to one of the newer models, such as a Geforce GTX 970, I can make use of the NVENC technology that provides hardware video encoding of DirectX or the Windows desktop. Action! Recorder apparently supports the NVENC technology on the Nvidia cards, to provide improved video recording.
Does anyone have any experience of using NVENC to record Adobe AIR desktop applications that use classic display list, rather than Starling, and can I expect to record a decent frame rate?

    Anyone?

  • Where can I find a screen recorder app????

  • IPad Screen Recorder, will it take Apple modifying iOS to make this possible without jailbreaking?

Is there something in IOS that makes it impossible to create a Display / Screen Recorder, without jailbreaking?
I see more and more apps that have built-in screen recording capabilities into their applications. Mostly in Educational Apps and a few drawing apps:
ExplainEverything, ShowMe, ScreenChomp, and Brushes to name a few. However there are no Apps that can create a screencast of you working on your iPad without jailbreaking. Initially I thought it was the lack of mutlitasking but that was mostly taken care of with the iPad 2. Yet there are still no Apps that can perform screen recordings of the iPad.
Apple before every developer attempts to create this within their own Apps some well and some badly, wouldn't it make sense to have an Apple developed or Apple / TechSmith partnership to create an iPad Screen Recording capability in the iPad 1, iPad 2 and all future iPads.
It is a post PC world and I shouldn't have to connect my iPad to my MacBook or PC just to capture my iPad screen (Not just an Image, but real-time screen recording). Even an external piece of hardware small, inexpensivew with either an SD card or SSD Drive for storage that plugs into the iPads and iPhones would be better than nothing. A software App that runs on the iPad is the ideal. So before this type of Universal App can be created, is there something that Apple needs to do or provide hooks for to make this happen.

There's no way I could find to change the message page. Try the App Store I'm sure you'll find something you like better.

  • Why is quicktime screen recording playback choppy?

I'm trying to record gameplay on my computer screen with quicktime's screen record feature, but when I go back and watch it, it is really choppy and skips some parts.
    I have a 27 inch iMac (Late 2009)
3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    4 GB Memory
    Snow Leopard OS
I'm not sure if my computer is not powerful enough for such a task, or if quicktime 10.0 isn't capable of smoothly recording gameplay.
I've tried lowering graphic settings in the game and switching the recorder to medium quality, but no matter what the video is still choppy, distorted, and skips.
    Please help!

The main problem is that the CPU power is divided between both the rendering of what is displayed on the screen and simultaneously recording that screen redering. Further, the app is programmed with a more or less fixed recoding data rate dependent on the recording quality setting and screen area to be recorded. Basically, the "scratch" file captue data rate on my systems may vary from a low of about 20 Mbps to a high on the order of nearly 80 Mbps. Since the recoding data rate is more or less fixed for each recording session, the QT X screen capture routine varies the frame rate in response to the amount of CPU power that is available for recording. Thus, if you check the playback frame rates for your files, you will probably see relatively low fps which produce the "chopply" playback. You will probably also note that the lower quality recording setting produces a somewhat higher frame rate with slightly smoother playback than the HQ mode. That is because the Photo JPEG medium efficiency codec is less CPU intensive than the MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) high efficiency video codec which produces better video quality in a smaller file package.
The normal method for improving the smoothness of final playback is to decrease the area of your scratch recording which, in turn, tends to increase the frame rate of your scratch file providing a smoother playback potential. Some apps allow you to select and record a given area of the screen at its current resolution and/or record the display at a "scaled resolution" to reduce the surface area actually being recoded. Other apps only record the screen at its "native" resolution with or without the ability select a specific area of the screen for recording. Still others may allow you to record "objects" such as a gaming window which may or may not already be scaled by the user to selected fraction of the entire display area. In short, what you can do to increase the frame rate and smooth playback may vary drastically depending on the specific screen capture app use. QT X v10.2 allows recording of both a user selected area or a "scaled" display rendering to improve the frame rate but I rarely use it. I would normally use the moderately priced ScreenFlick app instead for simple projects or an app like Snaps Pro X or ScreenFlow for more complex screen capture projects.

  • Comprehensive Captivate Screen Recording Tutorial

I am looking for a complete treatment of screen recording, software simulations, FMR, and so forth. The ones I have found tell me how to check boxes and establish the settings. What I am looking for is how to capture a full screen (so resolution and screen size is an issue), how to scroll smoothly (on a website "how-tom" the scrolling is jerky, auto-panning frequently overruns the position of the screen view, and manual panning results in mouse movements that are more for moving the recording region than for the demo being recorded.), and how to edit the results without having the mouse appear on a subsequent screen shot or how to take out portions or how to add a delay on certain portions.
I am using Cp7. I want to record a demonstration about using our website. The CP project is to be published at 800x600. My monitor is 1920x1080. How do I work around the size differences and avoid the poor scrolling and panning? I have recorded at 1920x1080 and then resized the project in Captivate to 800x435 (my numbers may be off but I maintained the aspect ratio) and when I play it back, it is jumpy and certain images flash.
I just want a decent turorial. Perhaps a training class. I full treatment of how-to do screen recording so that it is smooth and is at the right screen/image size.
    Any help is appreciated.

If I turn out to be correct, yes.  But I might be wrong.
You can test whether or not this is the issue by just capturing a section of the Prezi where nothing much in the way of animation is happening.  Find say a five or ten second slot with little or no animation and see whether that FMV part still exhibits the same issue.  If your PC seems to handle that OK, then try a longer section with more animation.  If I'm right, you should not have the issue where little or no animation is present, but the longer your file goes on and the more animation the chip in your motherboard has to decode, the slower it will get,

  • I can't get my applications to open to full screen. The apps are opening at about 75% and I cant figure out how to get them to open to the full screen.

I cant get my applications to open to full screen. The apps are opening up to about 75% and i cant get them to extend to full screen.

Which applications are you talking about?
Example: Browser application - At the bottom right corner of a browser window you will see a small square with 3 diagnal lines.  Place your cursor in that corner to stretch out your window to full screen.  The next time you open your browser app, the window will be full screen.
