Screen Replacement for Pavilion g6 Product# A6Y41UA#ABA

Hi there,
I need to replace the screen on my laptop. I cracked it and two or so inches on the far right side are just white with a few colored lines from top to bottom except for a few spots where it's just black.
Can someone tell me what kind of screen I need? There's a few I found on Amazon, but I'm not sure if any screen for a Pavilion g6 would be compatible.

A broken screen is not covered by the warranty. However, sometime the Genius at an Appe store will exchange it at no cost. Otherwise the exchange cost is:

At a New Years Eve party I was riding my little cousins Green Machine bike thing and I turned a corner and I had my iphone 4 in my front pocket and I turned a corner and it slipped out and hit the concrete ground. It has a shatter place at the top left corner on the white part on the front then it continues down to the home button,and across the top of the screen. I didn't have my Otter Box on it but I put it on after that happened. It covers up the shatter on my screen but thats pretty much it. I've been seeing people on here that has been getting there's replaced for free, so I was wondering if I could get my screen replaced. I don't have the Apple Care thing but I know that I have the Apples Warranty until December 16, 2012. Does anyone know if that covers getting my screen replaced for free or anything? I reallly need a new screen, I just don't want to spend a fortune on it! Please help!!!

Not if it was caused by accidental damage. You can make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store and see if they do screen replacement. If they do it is $149, if they can't it is $229 for an out-of-warranty replacement. If you bought AppleCare + it is a $49 deductible.

That is not a 90 day guaranrtee. It is a 90 warranty which only covers workmenship and materials not damage. So no. You are going to have to pay to get it replaced.

My optic drives worked before running a full system recovery

i guess i forgot to mention in my original post that registry limits were not the problem...they dont even exist...as i did mention, i tried different fixes which included

as well as manually checking the registry and every other file mentionable my friend has not been able to find her original disk yet, so that remains untried as of date....and BTW, an usb external cd/dvd drive works just fine....but we dont want a patch, we would like to fix the problem and use the internal drive the laptop came with....

Screen protector for Pavilion x360

I'm looking to get a screen protector for my new Pavilion x360. Since they are relatively new, there aren't many options. But those things tend to be interchangeable with other similar products. I'm wondering if the screen is the same size as any of the other, more established, HP tablets or notebooks?

I just purchased my laptop (15-G261CA) a month ago and of course today my 2 year old pushed it off of a table and has cracked the screen. Maybe contact the vendor and see if they have replacement instructions. This is about the third such request I have fielded here and simply cannot find good instructions online. It does look like a very difficult job.

There are independent iPad repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipad repair". You can also look for parts and instructions and do the repair yourself. Hi I just got my ipad 2 screen broken accidentally and I need help. I just got it 3 weeks ago so the warranty should cover this. Can anyone help me?

I was in a similiar circumstance this week. I accidentally dropped my two week old ipad2. My gf bought it for me for my birthday. I called my nearest apple store all upset about it. They booked an appt with me that same day to look at it.
I arrived at the store again very upset and beside myself that I broke this very expensive gift that I absolutely love.
"paul" at the store was phenominal. He could definitely see how upset i was.
he explained that this kind of damage is definitely not covered under warranty. And that the repair bill would be 259.00. i knew I could not afford that right now, he proceeded to tell me its ok, you have caught me in a very good mood. And he believed in Karma. He replaced my ipad2 free of charge. :-) WOW that is customer service!!!
