Screen Resolution following download of game

I recently downloaded a game from Bigfish.com and since playing the game full screen it now will now play but tries to open with the screen reoloution 800 x 600 and then crashes. Also if I go to screen preferences and open up the display it immediately defaults to 800 x 600. Can anyone help? I know it's trivial but it's driving me mad!

Find the game's preference file - a .plist hidden in your library/preferences or maybe in application support. You can also try right-clicking on the icon (control-click) to see if that stuff is "in" the icon. Toss them. If it's a decent app, it will make new ones. Then don't play it full screen because there must a bug in their code. You might want to let them know.

2 weeks ago when I switched on my pc (Windows XP) I had very poor screen resolution, which I was unable to fix other than by resetting to an earlier day. I also was having problems with McAffee saying that it couldn't access my pc to upload files. Eventually, I asked McAfee to sort the problem, which they did by taking control of my pc. I am now getting messages today saying that updates from McAffee have been uploaded satisfactorily. However, each time I now switch on my pc I get the same very poor screen resolution which I can only fix by resetting to a previous date.
Have you any ideas as to why this should be happening and more importantly how I can fix it.

For your problem, what I'm reading from your post, the screen resolution has nothing to do with Firefox. Your resolution has to do with your computer graphics card. To fix this problem just do the following steps:
1.
1. Open Display in Control Panel.
2. On the Settings tab, under Screen resolution, drag the slider, and then click Apply.
3. When prompted to apply the settings, click OK. Your screen will turn black for a moment.
4. Once your screen resolution changes, you have 15 seconds to confirm the change. Click Yes to confirm the change; click No or do nothing to revert to your previous setting.

My daughters Ipod Touch is stuck with a black/blue screen. She downloaded the game Breakaway from the App store yesterday and today she opened the game it said this game is not connected to game centers and the screen went black/blue reset didn't work

I tried resetting without the power adapter and with the power adapter and nothing happens. She has only had the Itouch for 2 weeks.

I did try that numerous times and nothing happened. However, I did eventually get it to work. After trying to reset it numerous times and the screen still just staying frozen I logged into the Home Share portion on the Home computer and deleted the Bubble Birds game. Eventually the Itouch died and I was finally able to reset it by plugging it in and holding down the buttons. I doubt the deletion of the game helped, but since it seemed to be the cause, I went ahead and deleted it. Thank you for your reply.

Another feature to allow users to change screen resolution to HD for gaming

I liked k3 Note, smartphone which is filled with lots of professional features. Can you add a control to change screen resolution to HD for games. Lots of people are there which are thinking that other phones' gpu are better and the Mali t760 m2 not so good.

In case someone else encounters the same problem, here is some more information.
The high refresh rate is quite visible in Device Manager. It would refresh every one or two seconds. The cause seems to be a conflict between a Fingerprint software installed during the Task sequence and the Validity Sensors Drivers.
I made a Scan for hardware change in Device manager and saw that a few devices were appearing as unknown. Right click, update drivers from local cache solved the problem.
I cancelled install of the fingerprint software and did not encounter the problem anymore.

I change the operation system from Windows Vista home to Windows 7 64bit , and I download the Windows driver but when I playing games it appear at 1024*768 pixel and my laptop have 1366*768 pixel.
If any body have a solution to this problem please help

Unfortunately I think you must offer more details about your problem like exact notebook model number and all games that you play.
Important point is that the game must support the native screen resolution of your monitor, otherwise you are not able to use 1366*768 pixel. You should check this firstly!
Furthermore make sure that newest display driver from Toshiba is installed and update your DirectX version.

My screen resolution becomes small when I play any game

I own a Toshiba Satellite M30X-113 with a atim mobility radeon 9700 graphics card. Lately, when I have been playing games, the screen resolution has shrunk ,and its become small. I try changing it from the menu (video options) but its still has no effect. I then used windows display mode to change, but that too had no effect. I used to use 32-bit setting on 1024x768, but it also keeps jumping back to 1280 resolution. Why is this happening? Is there any way to change it back to the way it was.

I agree with audigex. The games internal resolution has nothing to do with the computer display resolution. Usually you can change the resolution in the game settings.
I cant give you a proper answer why it has changed but Im sure the game settings are responsible for this issue.

No one here knows when the next iOS update will be released or what changes it will include until Apple releases it.
iOS 6.1.2 does not disable Wi-Fi, the vast majority of issues with iPhones that appear after an iOS update can be resolved with basic troubleshooting which is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).
If that does not resolve, then the issue is hardware related and no amount of iOS updates or restores will ever get it functional again.

Go to the Music section of your Library (very top-left corner) and see if your songs are there. The "Purchased" playlist may have been deleted or gotten corrupted, but if that happens it's not a big deal because your music should still be in your main Music Library.

If you ahven't already done so then try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

How to fix screen resolutions for games

I play on Pogo.com and recently noticed that my screen is split when playing games. There is too much space between the game and chat area. If I enlarge it to max, it doesn't take all the picture I need on the left side on some games, but always either small or larger screen there's a 2" space that should not be there. Can you please help?

When i used to download a game i use to have to click to allow certain downloads. now i cannot find the bar. it used to appear at the top of the screen

when i used to download a game or a programme i use to have a tab that used to ask if i allow the programme or an extension to download. now i cannot find it any more with the new firefox. can you tell me where to look?

You can check if you see a download action for that file tab in Tools > Options > Applications
You can delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder to reset all file actions.

Screen resolution in my 18 All-in-one PC

Screen appears stretched with the result diagrams like circles look like ovals. I am using Windows 7. I tried to adjust the screen resolution but I am given only 3 options none of which solves my problem. How should I adjust? Please help.

I understand that your screen resolution is not what it should be and you do not have the options to correct it properly. I suspece that you do not have the correct drivers installed for your graphics card or they are corrupted. To ensure that you have the correct drivers isntalled please follow the steps below:
First we need to determine what your product number is. You can do this by following the HP Support document that pertains to your computer type
Notebook - How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
All-In-One - How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Desktop - How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Once you have your product number you can use it at HP's Drivers & Downloads page. You should see your computer listed click on it and you will be brought to your computer's drivers page. Select your operating system from the drop-down box. If you are unsure as to what operating system you are running or what version it is you can use Which Windows operating system am I running? to determine what your operating system is and Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit? to determine what version the operating system is. Once you have your operating system selected click 'Next' and scroll down you will see Driver - Graphics. Click on Driver - Graphics and you will see your Graphics driver. Download and save it to your Desktop or a location you will remember on your computer.
Now that you have your wireless driver downloaded follow the instructions I have set out below:
Step 1. At the Tiles Menu type "device manager"
Step 2. Click on Device Manager
Step 3. Click on Display Adapters
Step 4. Right-click on your Display Adapter and select Uninstall
***Ensure you delete the driver when the option is presented
Step 5. Go to the graphics drivers you downloaded earlier and install them
Step 6. Restart your computer
***Now try to adjust your screen resolution.

Spontaneous screen resolution change

I am running OS X Maverick since a few days.
If I don't use my system, the screen "goes to sleep" after 10 min. (like I always had).
Since the OS X upgrade I have the problem that my screen resolution changes to 800 * 600 after when I "rewake" the screen (by pressing a key).
When I look in the system preferences, the screen resolution is set to "best for my screen"
I have to change it manually to the original setting (1280 * 960)
Error in the screendriver????

T420 Screen Resolution Change Issue

My T420 laptop is capable of 1600 X 900 screen resolution. After changing the resolution temporarily to 1024 X 768,
I tried to change it back a couple of hours later to 1600 X 900. However, now I do not even see 1600 X 900 as an option.
The highest option is its' current setting of 1024 X 768. Can someone tell me how I can get the 1600 X 900 resolution to show up
again as an option so I can change the screen resolution back to its' factory setting? I do not know what could have happened
except for maybe a windows update took place before I attempted to change the screen resolution back. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

welcome to the forums. could you check the graphic card version on your unit and compare it to the version available on http://support.lenovo.com .
is it the same or is the one on the support site ? If both of it is the same, uninstall the graphic driver from your unit and then download the driver from our support site.
do not install it yet, set your unit to diagnostic mode via msconfig first and then only install.
