JIm, you can make the text larger....look at the Interface Tab on the Preferences menu and you'll see several different Font size options (although there are less on OSX apparently). Make a selection, then close and restart Lightroom for the change to take effect.

  • [SOLVED] Screen resolution selector for non-standard Window managers

    Hi.
I just replaced the propietary Nvidia drivers with Nouveau. I usually use the console, and when in GUI, i used nvidia-tools to change screen resolution and dual monitors, which now is not possible, Gnome and KDE have its own tools to do that, but i am using fvwm, and dont know any X program that allows me to do this. I tought of using console and script, bit i'd rather prefer to have a name of some program that allows me to do that, and i could install in other computers.
So, anyone knows any program that would allow me to change screen resolution, and maybe dual monitors in X, witout any Gnome or KDE dependencies?
Thank you very much in advance

  • How can I increase the screen resolution on my T61; using Windows 7

I just recently purchased a Lenovo T61 from a guy on ebay.  I’m trying to figure out how to increase the resolution of the monitor, but can’t seem to figure it out.  Here are the technical specs of the machine:
    System
    Manufaturer: LENOVO
    Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T7300 @ 2.00GHz
    Model: 7658CTO
    Installed Memory: 2.00 GB RAM
    System type: 64-bit operating system
    OS Installed: Windows 7 Professional
    Number of processor cores: 2
    Storage
Size of hard disk:  160 GB
Media Drive:   CD- RW/ DVD MULTI Recorder (Can burn all types of CDs and DVDs)
    Graphics
Display adapter type:  Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family
Total available graphics memory:  358 MB
    Display adapter driver version:  8.15.10.1867
    Primary monitor resolution:  1280x800
    DirectX version DirectX 10
    Webcam: Integrated Webcam above display
I’m running Windows 7.  I don’t think there is an inherent/native resolution higher than 1280x800.  Is this right?  Can I download a driver to allow me to get to a higher resolution?  I’m using 1400x1050 on my older T42; this resolution is very nice.  I’d like to see this on my T61.  How can I do this?
    Thanks!
    Ryan---

    Hello ryguy7272,
it seems your tft has got a primary monitor resolution:  of 1280x800 only.
There´s no way to power that up, except at an external monitor.
Maybe that´s why the machine was a lot cheaper than others.

  • 800*600 screen resolution not showing full adobe window

    Hi,
One of my customers is currently running Adobe Captivate 2
and due to difficulties with vision is using a screen on 800*600
resolution. When you open pretty much any of the menus/options the
screens that pop up fill the screen past the 800*600 limits so
buttons down the bottom are not showing unless you drag the window
up at which time the top of the window vanishes off the screen. I
have tried on my computer and it does the same thing.
Is this something that Adobe Captivate 2 fails to do, does
Adobe Captivate 3 fix this issue, or are there options to fix this
    with Captivate2?
    Cheers
    Andrew

Hi Andrew and welcome to our community
I just tested Captivate 2 by configuring my laptop to the
same resolution of 800x600. Captivate seemed to work fine that way
and I didn't observe anything being lost or cut off. So my question
here is to ask if the person is running Captivate in windowed mode
or full screen mode. If windowed, try double-clicking the title bar
    to switch to full screen.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Screen resolution in 10G and converison from 6i

    Scenario is something like this:
We are converting forms from 6i to 10G.
We have designed forms in 6i for 1024x768 screen resolution. We don't have any issues in 6i for screen resolution of 1024x768.
We converted the form to 10G. Screen resolution is still 1024x768 in 10G. We are using separateFrame=true in formsweb.cfg to make sure we don't show the Applet in browser window. separateFrame=true opens the application in new window and this new window can use entire screen resolution.
Applet in new window is bigger than the screen resolution and we see scroll bars in main window when we open a child window. Obviously the applet is showing bigger footprint than client server form.
Why is this so? Is there a way to fix this?

If you will bring up a client-server form and a Web separate-frame form and compare them side-by-side, you can easily see the difference.
The height and width of the actual space used by the form is identical. In fact, in my comparison, both window widths are exactly the same number of pixels. I used snagit to compare the sizes.
However, if you compare the heights, you will see the difference. The web forms window has three bands above the actual Form canvas:
    1. The main window bar with the java icon on the left, window title, and the three windows icons for minimize, maximize and close.
    2. The pull-down menu choices on the left and the "Oracle" logo on the right. (Look-and-feel generic removes the Oracle logo, I believe.)
    3. The Window0 bar, blank except an icon on the left (right click shows Restore, Move, Size,... CLose) and an icon on the right, which clicking causes the inside window to maximize or restore.
The Client/Server window has two bands:
    1. Main window bar, similar to 1 above, except the icon on the left is a Forms icon instead of java.
    2. Combination of 2 and 3 above: Contains both the icons in 3 above plus the pull-down menu choices. It is also about 8 pixels shorter than the web forms bar 2.
In addition, comparing the bar with the message and status lines at the bottom of both versions, you can see that the web forms bar is about 9 more pixels higher.
It is possible to position the Window0 at a y_pos of about -20 to regain some of the lost height (this causes the third bar described above to be hidden behind the second). But you cannot get all the height back, because of the additional height taken by Web Forms for the second bar and the bottom area.
So what is left is to reduce the height of the canvas area used by your forms by about 20 pixels.
I believe these heights are determined by the java runtime used by web forms rather than Oracle, so there is nothing Oracle can do about it.

  • HOW TO ADJUST MY FRONT PANEL & ITS OBJECTS ACCORDING TO SCREEN RESOLUTION.

    Hai..
I want my fp to be visible in its standard form on all screen resolutions.I've used Maintain window prop for diff screen resolutions but it didnt work.Any Solution to this problem?

Did you also set the "Scale all objects..." setting?
For me mostly there had to be only 1 control to be scaled or changed in proportions, like a graph or listbox, the other controls (buttons, menu rings) should remain in size. This is best done by using splitters. You can lock them, stick them to one side of the window, make them invisible.

  • Testing if screen resolution meet requirements

    Hi,
By default our computers are set to 1024 X 768. In case a software would need 1280X1024, I would like testing if the actual screen resolution is effectively lower than the one need (1280X1024) and adjust it. If it is higher (like 1920X1080) then making no
    adjustment.
What is the best way to compare and adjust screen resolution?
    Thanks,
    François

    Hi François,
If you want to list the screen resolution, please refer to the script below:
    Get-WmiObject -Class Win32_DesktopMonitor | Select-Object ScreenWidth,ScreenHeight
In a multi monitor environment you can get the info for all monitors with:
    Add-Type -AssemblyName System.Windows.Forms
    [System.Windows.Forms.Screen]::AllScreens
    Refer to:
Get Screen resolution using WMI/powershell in Windows 7
If you want to change the screen resolution via powershell, please refer to the script in this article, you just need to provide the width and height:
    Set-ScreenResolution
If there is anything else regarding this issue, please feel free to post back.

  • My laptop meets minimum display resolution for Lightroom 5 but bottom of windows display off-screen

I installed Lightroom 5.3 on my older Lenovo laptop with 1280x768 native screen resolution.  When I open Lightroom and try to set up preferences, the lower part of the preferences window is displayed off the bottom of the screen and I am unable to move it up to make changes.  The same thing happened when it asked me to download the update to 5.5; I could not get to the bottom of the window to say yes.
The Lightroom 5 specs say the minimum display resolution required to use Lightroom 5 is 1024 x 768 display.  My laptop exceeds that.
    I am using Windows 7 64bit and LR 5 64bit.
    Any ideas or suggestions?
    Don

Any chance you have set display scaling to Larger - 150% in Windows 7 display settings?  It is possible that that is affecting the display size of LR.

  • Screen resolution when PXE boot from WDS vs Install Windows 8.1 from USB

    Hi all
I own a Lenovo ThinkPad T430s, X230 Tablet, and now have my hands on a T440. All three machines have UEFI Secure Boot enabled properly, i.e. Windows boot screen shows Lenovo logo instead of Windows logo.
However, if I do a PXE boot (using Windows Deployment Services from Windows Server 2012, not R2) and boot to the same boot.wim provided on a Windows 8.1 ISO image, the boot screen resolution turns crap, and the WinPE environment runs in 640x480. Also, as opposed
to the Lenovo logo showing on the boot screen, the Windows logo shows up instead, indicating it's not doing a secure boot?
When booting from a USB stick however, using the same Windows 8.1 boot.wim (copied from ISO), the screen resolution in Windows Setup is detected correctly, and the Lenovo logo shows up.
This occurs on all three machines since MDT was upgraded to MDT 2013 or when I replaced Windows 8 boot.wim with Windows 8.1 boot.wim (as the Windows ADK 8 --> ADK 8.1).
Is there a fix for this? Do others have the same problem elsewhere?
    Many thanks

    Hi,
When boot UEFI-based computer from PXE you should take more into consideration.
For some computers, you might have to perform additional steps to make sure that Windows is installed in UEFI mode, and not in legacy BIOS-compatibility mode.
Some computers might support UEFI. However, they do not support a PXE-initiated boot when in UEFI mode.

    Especially for “Pre-Deployment Considerations”
If you still cannot find a way to make it boot from UEFI mode, you should contact with manufacture to confirm if PXE-initiated boot is supported.
    Hope this helps.

  • What's the maximum Screen Resolution (Windows 7) on a T410?

    Hi,
I got a new Lenovo T410 laptop (Type 2252-AT6) which came with WinXP. I upgraded to Windows 7 but found that the screen resolution was really limited. The maximum I'm able to get is 1440 X 900 which is very disappointing as the WinXP install previous on the same machine was much better.
I tried installing all the video drivers from the downloads from the Lenovo support but none appear to help.
Is that the maximum I can get Win7? And do I have to go back to WinXP to get the better screen resolution on the same machine.
    Appreciate any replies.
    Regards,
    Paul.

T410's WXGA+ can only support a maximum of 1440x900 resolution. There is nothing you can do about that.

  • Windows 7 & Fixed Screen resolution

    Screen Resolution Problem w/ Windows 7 on a T61 (Type 6460-66U).
Seems that the only NVidia driver allowed by Lenovo does not let me change screen resolution from
native 1680x1050 to 1440x900, w/o screen size shrinking to a smaller real estate, framed in black. This, even
tho 1680x1050 & 1440x900 are in same ratio.
I'm not sure if this is from Win7's new "Fixed aspect ratio" or from lenovo not allowing driver to change from the "reccomended resolution" 1680x1050.
+ I searched for a way around this, trying NVidia's "custom resolution" in their control panel,
but not yet figured that out.
+ Also, Nvidia control will not let me do any "change flat panel scaling" options, just reverts.
+ w/ Rivatuner, not found how either.
Me eyes R goin fast, gimme some slack here.

  • Unable to Change Screen Resolution in Remote Session - Windows Server 2012 R2

Does anybody know of a way to allow Remote Desktop users to adjust their own screen resolution in a remote session under Windows Server 2012 R2? We are struggling with this and can't seem to find a solution.
When users login to their RDP session and try to adjust their screen resolution this message is displayed in Control Panel:
"The display settings can't be changed from a remote session."
We don't want to use the "make text and other items larger or smaller" scaling feature, as this produces undesirable results with some of our applications.  We also don't want to have to support multiple types of RDP clients or RDP shortcut
    files.
We have looked at other posts but can't find an answer that applies to Windows Server 2012 R2.  The closest thing we could find is KB2726399, but it only applies to Server 2008.
Does anybody have a solution for Server 2012?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Currently you cannot change the resolution from within the session.  This is normal and expected behavior.
Unfortunately this means you need to set the desired resolution before connecting by using custom .rdp files, manually within the Remote Desktop Client, custom web launch page, custom windows launch program, etc.

  • Screen Resolution trouble on Toshiba Satellite l775-s7307after reinstallation of Windows 7

I was having troubles. Had browser malware that couldn't be contained, and I had other issues, such as, getting the blue screen of death on a regular basis.....I wiped the HD, and reinstalled Windows 7-32 bit, and downloaded and installed all the drivers for this model from the Toshiba website, but I seem to be struggling with readjusting my screen resolution to where it should be....It won't set any higher than 1024 x 768.
    Any ideas?

In the future, I'd recommend performing a system recovery rather than reinstalling a clean copy of Windows. A system recovery will include all applicable software.

  • Screen resolution in Windows XP

    Hi all,
I have a iMac 24", with a screen resolution of 1920x1200. I installed Windows XP with Bootcamp. The problem I have now is in Windows, the highest possible choice for screen resolution is 1600x1200 which doesn't look good at all.
How do I change that into 1920x1200?
I am a complete newbie when it comes to windows so help is appreciated. (I only installed it to run SolidWorks during work).

  • Screen resolution in windows not as high as in 10.8

I recently got my hard drive replaced in my Mid 2010 27" iMac. I've partitioned the drive to reinstall Win 7 but now the screen resolution in Win7 is not as high as it was on the old hard drive. In 10.8, it runs at full resolution 2560x1440 but in Windows it runs at 1920x1440 max.
Anyone know how I can get Windows to show the full screen res because 1920x1440 looks like wallpaper that has been 'stretched to fit' and it's annoying to look at.
